The Rock Almighty Devotional, Praise and Worship with Sacred Warrior

May 31 from CDM

“For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise” (Hebrews 10:36).

Patience is not simply “putting up with” something; it is remaining constantly, consistently the same in all situations. Patience is faith that is consistently applied over a period of time.

My Sheep hear My Voice: How to hear from God and Prosper?
By: Joseph Ho

My Sheep Hear my Voice, (Yes God Can Speak to You) By Joseph Ho, June 17th, 2008.

In the beginning, I was like everyone else and I don't believe that God can speak to us. Yet after consistent trying, I discover that I have done it and I have managed to plug my spiritual phone line to the throne of God; that is why I bothered to write a book about this. The bible says in Luke 11:10, "For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." And again in Matthew 4:4, Jesus answered, "It is written: "Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."" Bread refers to the bible and the mouth of God refers to God speaking actively to us.

This is an article about how to hear the voice of God in 14 different ways. This article references the book (My Sheep Hear My Voice) written to show and teach the Christian community the importance of hearing directly from the throne of God. Have you ever wonder if God can or will speak with us? The answer is yes, God is alive and he still speaks to his people. This may be the most important words that you will ever read for the next 15 minutes that will bring a real and important change in your life. It’s a breakthrough wisdom that comes from not just words but real life experiences that will point you into extreme peace and prosperity.

Personally, I have spent over 10 years to practice the art of hearing from God and executing most of my decision based on his guidance and I have been having a great and fantastic time with the Lord. All his instructions to me brought me peace, joy and success. Just to be candid about our beliefs, how can anyone claim that they worship a true God and yet in reality they live a life without any ability to hear from him? If God is our shepherd and we never receive any instructions and commands from him, then we are not glorifying the true living God. We are no different than worshipping dead idols and graven images when we can not hear from God. Conversely, if God is alive doesn’t he want to talk with us, since we worship him? If we then know he is alive and yet does not speak to his people, then our claims are fictional and in conflict with our beliefs. This book (My Sheep Hear My Voice) testifies to all the people of the world that God speaks to his people, and not just one way but in at least 14 ways. These ways are not for the special exclusive group of people, it is for all his children and those who bother to take the time to listen to his reply when he speaks. I have done it with patient verification and constant testing and found that I was able to communicate with my God, thus I believe that anyone who seeks him will find as well.

This is not a theoretical, theological conceptual exercise; it’s a real life activity. It’s a book that is written based on true life experiences. Most Christian don’t experience the voice of God because they expect God to speak to them in a very loud voice and be very spectacular, however, God speaks in very gentle ways and he does not intrude on us to freak us out.

When the instructions which God has given to me were actually obeyed and executed; the results were remarkable and rewarding. God says in the end times that he is seeking true worshippers who worship him in spirit and in truth. In spirit is to be led by the spirit of God and in truth is according to the word of Jesus, the son of God. I can no longer imagine how to live a good life without God’s council. I found that each time I obeyed his suggestion and advice, my tasks were easier and smoother and success was sweet. So without spiritual power and help, some of us may not be able to fulfill our destiny. Therefore, in order for the will of God to be fulfilled throughout the earth, all his disciples and followers must be doing his will by seeking his voice. And God says again in the book of Proverbs 8:34-35, "Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the lord." And again in the book of Proverbs 8:34-35, it says, "Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the lord. This book is a tribute of my 10 years of communion with the Lord, God, and I am testifying for him. God is alive, and he talks to me, and he want to talk to you. If you can believe and spent time to listen, you shall surely hear his voice. And I know you will because Jesus says, ask and you shall be given and seek you shall find and knock; the door will be opened.

This book which can be found at www.Kingscepter.com and it describes the details and shows that God will speak to us in the following ways: 1. God speaks through His prophet and messengers. 2. God speaks through dreams of the night. 3. God speaks through the still quiet voice in our spirits. 4. God speaks by prompting us in our hearts. 5. God speaks audibly in a loud voice to our spirits. 6. God speaks through vision, or pictures in our minds. 7. God speaks through the peace in our hearts. 8. God speaks to us through physical events, omens and signs. 9. God speaks to us through physical objects and words that are in the streets. 10. God speaks to us via bible verses that has been quicken and made alive. 11. God speaks to us using scriptures that seem out of context. 12. God speaks to us through animals. 13. God speaks to us through angels. 14. God speaks to us by casting of lots and Urim and Thumim.

If you thought that I got this gift or ability suddenly, then you are very wrong. The first time when I tried to speak to God and wanting him to reply, I got only dead silence. It was not immediately evident to me how to speak to God, but slowly, I decided to try and practice. I did not just read the book, I decided to practice the ways in the book, and I expected God to speak to me in those ways. In the beginning, it was very comical and foolish to do the things that I did, but I was not led astray nor was I embarrassed when I first made up my mind to seek the council of our Lord Jesus and God. When I decided to seek God, he began to turn his attention towards me.

You may wonder what was it that motivated me to want to hear his voice. Well, it’s sad but true, we do not seek God until we need him desperately. For me, I had 5 crises that happened to me in the year 1997, I needed a miracle in short. I found God and he spoke to me. God also gave me confirmations through scriptures that he is the one who spoke to me. This gave me peace and assurance, he is a good God, and we should not fear that we will hear a different voice. I was elated, surprised and very excited about this new found counselor. Then, I read that God can do anything even impossible things, and that is when I decided that God can speak to me in anyways he chose. The bible says in John 10:27, "My sheep hears my voice; I know them and they follow Me." and again in John 10:3 – 5, "The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and he sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice."

Here is a simply analogy, I want you to reflect on your natural father; how do you recognize your father’s voice when he calls you on the phone. What is it about the voice that makes you recognize that it is your true father on the other line? First, it was the tone of his voice, and second it is the way he uses certain words, and thirdly, it is the way he speaks and his unique speech, fourth, it was the historical relationship with him that he can use certain events to jolt your memories all these combined together, gave you an idea that it is truly your father who is speaking to you. So have no fear that you will hear a wrong voice, we have a way to know if God is the one speaking to us.

Finally, be blessed in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and my prayers will accompany you as you seek to hear his voice. He promised me through the bible verse: Isaiah 32:3, "Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen. Then the mind of the rash will know and understand, and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear." Let your ears and eyes be opened as you seek to hear from him, and may he also cause you to hear, and see what goodness he has prepared for those who seek him. Finding him is finding an eternal treasure, for if God is for you, who can be against you. Whatever may be your situation, if God speaks to you, you will find a second chance and a way in the wilderness and he will lead you out of your trouble, I know because I came out of the wilderness because I hear his voice and like a sheep I followed the voice of the Shepherd and I came out of my pits. Truthfully, what have you got to lose? Go check out this book which was created to serve those who sincerely want to find a connection to the throne of God. 2. Box Squats
3. Barbell Hip Thrusts
4. Cable Pull Throughs
5. Abduction Machine
6. Lunges
7. Lying Leg Curls

| Sumo Deadlift |
1. Find Your Foot Position - Foot positioning on a sumo deadlift is more variable than on a conventional one, but you should set up so that your shins end up at 90 degrees when you begin to pull. An easy way to position your feet properly for this exercise is to look into a mirror, get into your starting position, then play around with different foot widths. Find the one where your shins are at 90 degrees to start the movement. For the sumo deadlift, you also have to point your toes out. How much will vary depending on your hip mobility and stance width, among other factors. If you point your toes forward, your knees will be in the way, and it'll be much harder to complete the movement. Your hand position should be a straight line from your shoulder down to the bar.

 2. Get Set Up - The rest of the setup points for sumo are very similar to conventional. You want your shins at 90 degrees to the ground and your shoulder blades over the bar. Then, you breathe and brace, engage your lats, and pull the slack out of the bar.

 3. Engage Your Lats - As with the conventional deadlift, engage your lats to take out the slack and visualize bending the bar. This should automatically turn on your lat muscles—you'll feel it.

 4. Initiate The Movement - Unlike in conventional deadlifting, where you want to initiate the movement by pushing the floor away from you, for the sumo deadlift you want to initiate the movement by thinking about spreading the floor apart.

5. Drive Your Hips - Once the barbell has left the ground, think about squeezing your glutes and driving your hips forward as you're pulling up, just as you would with a conventional deadlift. You should feel it in your glutes, hamstrings, and lats.

6. Lock Out - Stand straight with your shoulder blades drawn back but without hyperextending your spine, just like a conventional deadlift.

7. Lower The Bar - Lower the weight quickly but with control.

Five Best Exercises For Women for a Hot Lower Body

By: Flavia Del Monte

Whether we like it or not, women are genetically designed to be a bit bottom-heavy. And while there are rare times when this can be a good thing, normally these extra pounds are just one more thing we need to work on.

Whether we like it or not, women are genetically designed to be a bit bottom-heavy. And while there are rare times when this can be a good thing, normally these extra pounds are just one more thing we need to work on. But that's ok. Below, you'll find five of the best exercise for a hot lower body and all the information you'll need to get rid of that pear, apple, or other unpleasant fruit shape that's been preventing you from feeling your best.

Squats
Squats are great exercises for your lower body. They not only target your quadriceps, but they also get your glutes, hamstrings, and calves working, as well as your core.

How to Do the Perfect Squat
Standing straight, with your lower back naturally arched and your feet shoulder-width apart, hold your arms out at shoulder level, tighten your tummy, and hold it. Then, while continuing to hold your arms out and your tummy tight, push out your hips and bend your knees to lower your body as far as you can, until your hips are parallel with the floor. Hold it. Then, slowly return to the starting position.

The beauty of squats is that they're not only great a great exercise for your lower body, but they're super easy to do and don't require any additional equipment. Just make sure you have good form.

Want to burn fat while doing your squats? Add a jump at the end to increase your heart rate and start burning fat. By simply adding 10 squat jumps at the end of each circuit, you'll add 120 squat jumps into each workout. And when you're ready to turn up the heat, add weights to the routine and increase the reps you do each week.

Lunges
Lunges should definitely be next on your list of the 5 best exercises for a hot lower body. They focus on your quads, but lunges also work the other muscles involved in getting a smaller backside: your glutes, hamstrings, and calves.

Your hamstrings are the three muscles that start just under the gluteus maximus on your pelvic bone and run to your tibia. Normally, we think of them as being responsible for moving your leg back and bringing your heel to your bum. However, their main job is to slow your shin during rapid movement.

Step-Ups
Step-ups look extremely basic, but they're actually great exercise for your glutes, quads, and hamstrings. And because you're strengthening your hamstrings, you'll increase the stability in your knees and greatly reduce your risk of injury. This is vital during normal movements, but it's especially important when you're working your legs and trying to melt the extra fat from your backside.

Hip Raises
Your glutes need loving, too. And some of us have glutes that demand a little more attention than others. So, if you haven't already, now is the time to get familiar with your glutes.

Your glutes include a number of muscles: the gluteus maximus, which attaches to your femur and runs along the pelvic bone crests, the gluteus maximus, which start on the pelvic bone crests and run to the side of your femur, the gluteus medius and minimus, which run under the maximus, and the iliotibial band, which is connective tissue that moves force from the center of your body to your leg.

This sounds like a lot of muscle, and it is! Your glutes are actually the largest muscle group, so you'll burn more calories than you will when working other muscles. They aso help you avoid getting a pooch by preventing your pelvis from tilting forward. This means you can burn more fat, but also minimize the look of the belly fat you already have.

Toe Hops
Made up of the gastrocnemius and the soleus muscles, your calves are mostly responsible for extending your ankle, or plantar function. The gastrocnemius is a proximal and a media section located on the anterior side of the soleus, in the back of your lower leg. These sections start just above the knee and meet at your Achilles tendon, and are responsible for handling the workload when your knee is straight.

The soleus is located under the gastrocnemius and it runs to your Achilles tendon, as well. However, it starts just below your knee and is responsible for extending your ankle when your knee is bent.

These five moves can make for an intense session, but they really are the best exercises for your lower body. Before you know it, you'll toss out the control top pantyhose, stiff underwear, and the other fancy fabric contraptions you've been using to minimize the look of your thighs, and be wearing heels, stockings, skirts, shorts, and other sexy little numbers with confidence.

 Effects of Drug Addiction
By: Tian Xiangyu

Drug addiction is one of the most vexing and pervasive problems that almost all the countries have faced. The consequence of such addiction can be devastating. The effects of drug addiction are felt on many levels.

Individuals who use drugs experience physical effects due to their drug addiction. People with drug addiction may experience anxiety, fatigue, depression, and a strong desire to use more cocaine to alleviate the feelings of the crash. Many drug users engage in criminal activity, such as burglary and prostitution, to raise the money to buy drugs, and some drugs are associated with violent behavior.

Family and friends feel the effects of drug addiction as well. The user who are preoccupied with the drug usually have changeable mood, which is likely to cause marital problems and poor work performance or dismissal. Drug addiction can disrupt family life and create destructive patterns of codependency.

Drug Abuse affects society in many ways. Drug users are more likely than nonusers to have occupational accidents, endangering themselves and those around them. Drug-related crime can disrupt neighborhoods due to violence among drug dealers, threats to residents, and the crimes of the addicts themselves. In addition, drug addiction will cost billions of dollars each year. Heroin use alone is responsible for the epidemic number of new cases of HIV/AIDS and drug addicted infants born each year. Drug addiction is responsible for decreased job productivity and attendance, increased healthcare costs, and an escalation of domestic violence and violent crimes

Drug addiction has many negative physiological health effects, ranging from minor issues like digestion problems or respiratory infections, to potentially fatal diseases. The effects depend on the drug and on the amount, method and frequency of use. The upshot is that regular drug abuse or sustained exposure to a drug can cause physiological dependence, which means that when the person stops taking drugs, he/she experiences physical withdrawal symptoms and a craving for the drug.

Drug addiction can cause brain damage. Drug addiction affects the way the brain functions and alters its responses to the world. How drug abuse will affect your behavior, actions, feelings and motivations is unpredictable. By meddling in the natural ways the brain functions, abusers exposes themselves to risks they may not even have imagined.

Drugs addiction leads to psychological and physiological dependence. The term drugs abuse is used to indicate the excessive consumption of a drug, regardless of whether an individual is truly dependent on it. Drugs abusers are generally immature, suffering from mental and physical health hazards, emotionally disturbed and psychopathic in nature.

The Rock Almighty Devotional, Praise, and Worship with HB

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.
— 1 Corinthians 6:19

  View Previous Devo

The first key to overcoming stress is to recognize or admit we are experiencing it, and look for the source of it.
There was a time in my life when I was constantly having headaches, backaches, stomach aches, neck aches, and all the other symptoms of stress, but I found it very difficult to admit I was pushing too hard physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
I wanted to do all of the things I was doing and wasn’t willing to ask God what He wanted me to do. I was afraid that He would lead me to give up something I wasn’t ready to give up yet.
Although the Lord gives power to the faint and weary, if you are worn-out from continually exceeding your physical limitations, you will have stress.
Our bodies are the sanctuary (home) of God, and we are in disobedience when we push ourselves past God-ordained limitations and live in continual stress. We all have limits and we need to recognize what they are and eliminate excess stress from our lives.
If you wear out your body, you can’t go to a department store and purchase another one, so take care of the one you have!

Prayer Starter: Father, I lift my schedule and activities up to You. Show me areas where I need to change. Help me to do my part to eliminate stress and take care of my body, the temple of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for Your grace to change! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Tell the Good News

2 Corinthians 5:19

Very few unsaved people today have ever really heard the “good news.” Why? Because too many Christians are busy telling the world God is mad at them. And telling them that they’re terrible and wrong. Some call that “good news,” but it’s not, and it’s not what God has commissioned us to share.
He’s given us the “word of reconciliation”!
He’s sent us to tell the news that God has restored harmony and fellowship between Himself and men. All men. Not just believers. Not just the people in your church, but everyone!
That’s right. The worst old reprobate sinner in the world is every bit as reconciled to God as you are. Look at Romans 5:10 and you’ll see what I mean. It says that “when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son.”
Reconciled. That word is past tense. God has already restored fellowship between Himself and the world. He did it when there was not one person on earth except Jesus who believed in the new birth. He did it when the entire world was lying in sin.
Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, God has cleansed and forgiven and restored to Himself every man, woman and child on the face of this earth. All any of us have to do now is receive it.
That’s the good word God has given us. That’s the word we need to share with those who are lost. If we’ll do it, I can almost guarantee you, they won’t stay lost very long.

N.B.A. Power Post Offense – ” The offense that led the San Antonio Spurs to 4 N.B.A. World Championships” Playbook

by Scott Peterman

Description

I have had multiple requests for a playbook that will spice up your post plays and tweak some of your offensive sets. I decided to look into the most consistent N.B.A. Franchise in the last decade. It is the San Antonio Spurs who have won the World Championship in 99, 03, 05, and 07

Coach Gregg Popovich’s “San Antonio Spurs” use an offense that is mostly built on the perimeter, but they exploit the skills of Tim Duncan, an all-around player who can play close or away from the basket at a medium shooting distance. The Offense is built on the offensive penetrations of their guard that lead to 3 point shooting opportunities. It also have a wide array of pick-n-roll plays in their offense.

This N.B.A. Power Post Offense Playbook has:
90 Set Plays
2 Zone Offense
1 Sideline Out of Bounds play
1 Baseline Out of Bounds play

I really do think that this playbook will be able to tweak your set plays up with some interesting looks. You will be able to involve your guards as well as your post players.

The Post-Binge Bible: Getting Over Overeating

In the beginning, there was your lofty expectations of how your life would be once you started being healthier. You'd workout most days. You'd get enough sleep. You'd be calmer and focussed. And, of course, you'd eat a balanced diet. Sure, there'd be the odd treat here and there, but mostly, lots of whole foods. Lots of healthy meal prep.
In this dreamy vision for your #FitLife, you probably didn't see yourself scarfing back Girl Scout cookies with a whipped cream chaser. You probably didn't see yourself, exhausted and zombie-eyed,  ordering a large pizza at 10 p.m. on a Tuesday night and devouring the whole wheel yourself, feeling both incredibly relieved and unbearably guilty. You probably didn't think that your physically healthier self would still be susceptible to extreme acts of indulgence.
Let's just get this out of the way: everyone eats to much at some point. Our trainers do it. Your super fit keto-vegan-wheat-grass-eating coworker does it. Buddhist monks do it. Eating too much happens. The reasons it happens vary. It can happen because you haven't been eating enough and your body craves a good ol' feed up. It can happen because you're tired and your willpower is shot. (There is a strong correlation between willpower and exhaustion.) It can happen because you are emotionally distraught: bad news, a bad break-up bad day at work. Regardless, it happens because you are mentally depleted, physically depleted or both. While the easy advice to give here would be to tell you not let your body/mind get that exhausted  — to practice relentless self-care at all times — that's not the way life works. Best made plans get laid to waste. Shit happens.

We should always do our best to get the sleep, activity and proper nutrition we need to ensure we can operate at peak, but sometimes, the best we can do that day is not the best we ideally want for ourselves. And really, that's okay.
This Post-Binge Bible is here to help you navigate the guilt and shame that often accompanies a food binge. It's here to guide you through negative feelings so that they don't cripple you. In short, it's here to give you a loving kick in the ass and a huge hug.
Keep reading. Here are your post-binge lessons.

The Post-Binge Bible: Getting Over Overeating

  1. One binge will not undo your hard work.
Here's a little equation. It will help put things in perspective.
CONSISTENCY
____________ = RESULTS
TIME
Simple, right? Just like you did not lose a bunch of fat after a single day of clean eating and exercise, you will not gain a bunch of fat after a single binge session. Sure, the scale may go up the next day, but this is most likely the result of bloating  —not actual fat. Here's the deal: sugar is a carb and excessive consumption of any carb can cause fluid retention thanks of a higher insulin level that causes your kidneys to hold water. This phenomenon is also called false fat, and will go away if you return to your healthy eating.
So, if you've just had a heroic binge, for the love of mini-powdered donuts, don't weigh yourself for at least of couple days. What you see on the scale is not an accurate reflection of where you're at. Pound back some water, and pound out your next workout.
  1. You shouldn’t try to compensate.
You're thinking about it, but don't do it. If you've just binged, don't over-exercise and/or undereat the next day. Just get back to eating clean and exercise as usual. There's nothing wrong with pushing a little harder during your sweat 'sesh, maybe upping your weights (if you're ready to and can lift safely) or adding on a killer two minute finishing move like bear tricep push-ups with a weighted vest, but there's absolutely NO needs to double or triple up on your workouts.

Bear Tricep Push-Up  — try it!
The reason for this is two-fold: first, remember, a single binge will not have really set you back. Second, well....keep reading.
  1. NEVER punish yourself.
Punishing yourself for a binge is one of the worst things you can do to yourself, mentally. It reinforces your belief that you've done something wrong...and you haven't. Have you noticed that not once has this article mentioned anything about "getting you back on track?"
There's a reason for that. Binging is NOT off-track. Eating too much, as already stated, is human. The occasional binge falls completely within the realm of normal behaviour, and will not negatively impact your hardwon gains.

You can't overeat on the regular and expect it not to show after a while. Sure, you can go on vacation and load up on gelato and fresh baguettes for a few days with no weighty repercussions, but do that everyday for a couple weeks and you shouldn't be surprised if you have to shoehorn yourself into your skinny jeans.
Remember:
CONSISTENCY
____________ = RESULTS
TIME
So what if you binged? Learn from it: did you not eat enough during the day? If so, then try to make sure you meal plan and have healthy food with you to munch on so you don't get to the point of wanting to eat everything and anything.
If you chronically binge eat, it is worth your while to consider intermittent fasting (IF). You can learn more about IF here, but the point is this: IF requires that you eat everything you need to eat in a day within 8 hours. Then, you fast for 16  — nothing can pass your lips but water, black tea or black coffee.

It also allows you to eat a lot for 8 hours of the day, and while most of it should be clean, whole, healthy food, because your body is burning more fat through an extended fasting period, this food lifestyle is way less restrictive than others. Unlike keto or paleo or Atkins, with IF there is absolutely nothing off the table.
What's more, IF has been shown to balance hormones and help you sleep better: two causes of binge eating.
If you want to try IF and get the best start possible, grab our new ShredFast Intermittent Fasting Guide. It has all the intel you need to get started, including our two-phase approach for optimal results  — as well as 40+ meals, snacks and desserts to keep you happily and healthily enjoying the process.
Even when you IF, however, and even if you do everything right to the best of your ability everyday, overeating will still happen. But if you use these strategies and remember not to beat yourself up over it, it will happen less. Binges will be a blip on the radar of your healthy, beautiful life.

Harry J. Anslinger and the Campaign against Marijuana
By: Sam Qam

Cannabis is the most commonly used illegal drug in the world. Despite its current legal status it only became criminalized within the last century, before which it was both a regularly used recreational drug as well as a medically prescribed drug for dealing with a wide range of ailments from glaucoma to cancer and multiple sclerosis. So if merely a century ago Marijuana was a widely used and medically acknowledged drug how did it manage to reach the criminalized status that it now holds?

In America the criminalisation of cannabis began as a relatively slow and understated process with certain states outlawing its use starting in the District of Columbia in 1906. A couple of states followed this example and outlawed the use of cannabis throughout the 1910s and 20s but it wasn't until the 1930's that the criminalization of cannabis became a major issue.

The reason that cannabis became such a huge issue was the launch of a massive smear campaign against marijuana lead by Harry J Anslinger from 1930 to 1937. Harry J Anslinger started his career as the Assistant Prohibition Commissioner in the Bureau of Prohibition before he was promoted to the position of Commissioner in the newly created Federal Bureau of Narcotics in 1930. Anslinger held this position for 32 years, but it is his campaign against marijuana, which dominated the first 7 years of his tenure, that he is most widely remembered for.

Anslinger made heavy use of the mass media in order to spread his anti-cannabis message. Anslinger notoriously fabricated a number of stories tenuously linked to police reports that he published in his "Gore File" and used to turn the public against the drug and gain backing for its criminalization. Among the accusations he levied were "There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz and swing, result from marijuana usage. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers and any others."; "Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men."; "You smoke a joint and you're likely to kill your brother." These accusations were designed to pray on the worries that many American's had about the number of immigrants entering the country.

A more interesting point relating to this is that Anslinger wanted the growth of all marijuana plants outlawed; including those that yield no intoxicating chemicals and can only be used to produce the extremely versatile textile hemp and cannabis oil which can form a cheap and effective base for fuels, paints and plastics. Anslinger and his primary supporter, William Randolph Hearst, both had considerable interest in the petrochemical industry and it has been suggested that the anti-cannabis campaign was primarily designed to eliminate hemp as a competitor.

No matter the reasons it is clear that Harry J Anslinger and his anti-cannabis activism played an enormous role in the national criminalization of the drug, something which is still strongly debated to this day.
