Eat Celery to Improve Your Health
By: Roosie Buzz
Great article about celery. Find out the benefits of this great vegetable plus ways how you can add more celery to your diet.
The
reason celery is so low in calories is because it is so high in water
content. Fresh, light green celery with glossy ribs is the best for
eating. Celery is truly economical; all parts of the plant are edible
and one cup contains only about twenty calories. There is no waste. It’s
a great food and has a number of known health benefits. Celery
can provide a sense of calmness. It can also help lower blood pressure.
People with gout should be fans of celery because it lowers uric acid.
Drinking fresh celery juice is said to reduce appetite. Taken before a
meal it may help with weight loss. People seldom think of celery
as a real food in and of itself. In today’s culinary world, celery is
used as a seasoning, a garnish or a snack, but Hippocrates considered it
a medicine and recommended it for kidney health. High in calcium
and Vitamin C, celery should be a part of your daily diet. It is an
excellent finger food and best when eaten raw. Avoid the large, fibrous
bottom ends and for best flavor, store celery in a part of the
refrigerator where it won’t freeze.
One of the complaints about
celery is that it is boring and the flavor tends to be bitter. Celery
ribs make perfect little boats for holding more flavorful fare. Fill
them with peanut butter and pair with an apple and a serving of cottage
cheese for a light but tasty breakfast. They are excellent when used for
dipping sticks with egg salad or chicken salad. An individual serving
removes the dislike of "double dipping." Celery is delicious with a
variety of cheeses and makes a perfect boat for pimento spread. Chunks
of celery, apple, pineapple, walnuts and chicken can be combined with a
light mayonnaise for a quick and easy salad. Chunks of havarti cheese
make a good substitute for chicken when you feel like a meatless salad.
This salad can be served with or without addition of lettuce. Celery
seed is an excellent addition to any salad. The intensity of its flavor
may surprise you. It adds a real kick to any cold seafood dish. If
you are fortunate enough to have a juicer, blend celery, carrots, apple
and tomato for a bright flavorful juice. Seasoned with a touch of salt
and lemon, it makes a great mid-afternoon snack. For those who wish to
eat more celery on a regular basis, it can be added to any soup or
vegetable dish. Celery can also be grilled. A light spray of
olive oil and it is ready for the grill. Don’t overcook it and serve
with lemon, pepper and a dollop of low fat sour cream. A few stalks of
fresh celery and a little imagination will brighten up your daily food
intake.

Naturally Cancer is Curable But Only Naturally
By: Alan Wighton
Cancer is a wake up call; it’s your
body telling you that you’ve done something wrong so your focus has to
be to correct the reasons which caused it to appear. We have been
brainwashed today into believing that cancer has appeared because of
chance or bad luck and must be removed quickly or it will spread. That
is not true. What the body needs is to address the reasons why it grew
in the first place and that can only be achieved naturally.
Over
the years there have been many false claims about cancer, the biggest
one is that it needs to be removed quickly, regardless of the side
effects of the treatment. What you won’t be told is that you need to
make some changes, especially dietary ones to stop it from spreading
because that’s when it becomes a killer. Just removing it by surgery,
radiation or chemotherapy won’t stop it spreading to another location
and that’s why so many people are dying of the disease.
Learn
about cancer, especially its causes because there can never be a real
cure until you remove its causes. The best doctor you have is inside
your own body and it’s called the immune system. It’s a known fact that
all cancers are a result of an immune system that wasn’t functioning
properly and allowed cancer cells to develop so that has to be your
first priority. Strengthen your immune system.
Everybody except
the patient is doing well now days in the business of treating cancer
and the current methods are appallingly ineffective. The reasons being
they focus solely on the growths themselves and the growths are not the
problem. They’re only a symptom of the problem. The definition of a
symptom is an indication that something is wrong and it’s the whole body
where the problem is.
Our mainstream medical professionals
don’t support natural treatments because they are trained by the
pharmaceutical industry. These industries are one of the most powerful
and profitable businesses in the world and because there is money
involved, is the reason why you won’t be told about simple ways to heal
the body of cancer naturally. Do you think these industries really want
someone to come along with an inexpensive natural non toxic effective
cure?
For years we have been told there is no relationship
between nutrition and cancer whereas today we know with certainty that
what we eat or what we don’t eat causes cancer. Good wholesome food
based on a plant based diet will build up the immune system whereas
unwholesome food or junk food weakens the immune system. The human body
has the capacity to self heal when the immune system is functioning
properly.
It’s poor diets, our sedentary lifestyle and a toxic
overload which has caused the problem and there is never going to be a
pill to solve that. You can’t drug the body back to health and burning
the body with radiation won’t help either. Both of these treatments
weaken the immune system. They may shrink some of the cancer growths but
long term that doesn’t solve the problem.
The way to be cancer
free is to get involved and learn about it so you can make changes,
especially to a plant based diet which is packed with all kinds of anti
cancer substances, many of them more powerful and effective than any
drug. The body’s ability to heal itself is remarkable.

He begins by telling us which foods he believes are most important, and why medicine should be personalized.
Everybody's body needs something different. So it’s important to remember, because a lot of times we want everything to be black and white. Meat is all bad or dairy is all bad or it's not. It really depends upon the person.
Did you know that medicine, up until a few hundred years ago, was considered herbs and spices? Whether it be in a tea form or tension form, that's what people used as medicine.

Traditional Chinese Medicine - Everything You Need to Know
By: Duncan Mcgechie
Traditional Chinese medicine or TMC
is an ancient system of wellness and health that has evolved over
thousands of years. Western medicine of today primarily focuses on
treating diseases or the symptoms of diseases, but TMC has a holistic
approach and is aimed at improving the overall well-being of an
individual. Practitioners of TMC make use of various body and mind
practices, such as tai chi and acupuncture, along with herbal products
to address different health issues.
The idea behind traditional Chinese medicine Typically, Western medicine views the human body like a car or a
machine. According to them, the body has varied systems that require the
right outputs and inputs. Everything is very logical and concrete. On
the other hand, traditional Chinese medicine in London does not focus on
medicine and science. Instead, it is based on harmony, energy and
balance. Broadly, there are central ideas behind Chinese medicine: Qi (pronounced as chi): This is also referred to as vital energy or
life energy. It is believed that Qi runs throughout the body and it is
always on the move. Qi is never constant. TCM treatments are basically
focused on ways to enhance and maintain the flow of Qi. Yin
and Yang: Yin and Yang are opposites that describe Qi’s qualities. While
Yin is light, hot, day, feminine and hollow, Yang is heavy, cold,
solid, night and masculine. The belief is that every single thing in
life has a little of the opposite in them, and therefore, balance is
crucial. For instance, pharmaceutical drugs prescribed by a healthcare
practitioner is needed to heal disease, but if you end up consuming it
too much, it can be dangerous. As per TCM, balancing the yin and yang of Qi leads to making an individual feel well and healthy. Different types of practices used by TCM Acupuncture: Acupuncture is an ancient technique where practitioners
stimulate certain points on the body by inserting thin needles. There
are several studies that have revealed that acupuncture helps the body
in releasing its natural painkillers. It also helps to relieve pain,
stress and anxiety, as well as, help with fertility issues and more. Chinese herbs: Chinese herbal products like, powders, teas and
capsules are mostly made out of plants and they are known to be
effective in the treatment of heart diseases, stroke, respiratory
diseases and mental disorders.
Cupping therapy: Cupping
therapy is another form of ancient alternative medicine in which a
practitioner places heated cups on the skin for a few minutes in order
to create suction. Cupping helps to loosen the muscles, sedate the
nervous system and encourage blood flow. Tai chi: Tai chi
combines gentle movements, certain postures, relaxation and breathing.
As per studies, tai chi helps to improve stability and balance in
people, especially those suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Practising
tai chi also helps in reducing pain from osteoarthritis. Does TCM work? Traditional Chinese medicine is an approach that covers a lot of
ground, and therefore, results might vary. A lot of research has been
done on acupuncture and Chinese herbs. In fact, Western medicine is also
waking up to the benefits of TCM and recommending it to patients, along
with Western treatments. Here are some of the ways that TCM works. ● A few Chinese herbal products have made inroads into Western medicine
clinics to treat various kinds of conditions including arthritis,
menopause and sleep troubles. ● Today, acupuncture is an accepted
treatment for a wide range of conditions, ranging from pain relief to
infertility and it is also known to limit the side-effects of
chemotherapy.
● Cupping provides relief from shingles and other
health conditions, and tai chi offers to improve stability by focusing
on slow movements and breathing techniques. Traditional Chinese
medicine is a holistic approach to health and well-being. However, you
must only refer to a certified and experienced practitioner in order to
reap the benefits of this alternative medicine.

Fat-soluble vitamins vs. water-soluble vitamins, what’s the difference, and when should you take them? Watch this short video to find out.
Find Out More at drberg.com: https://DrBerg.AMZ
In this video, I want to talk to you about fat-soluble vitamins vs. water-soluble vitamins. When should you take them, and what is the difference?
Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in your fat cells and in your liver. Water-soluble vitamins are not stored—if you consume too much, your body will get rid of what you don’t need.
Fat soluble vitamins include: • Vitamin A • Vitamin D • Vitamin E • Vitamin K1 • Vitamin K2 These vitamins are able to penetrate the fat layer of your cells and go deeper. They can even affect your DNA and mitochondria.
Water-soluble vitamins are not capable of this.
Water soluble vitamins include: • B vitamins • Vitamin C
You want to take fat-soluble vitamins along with fatty foods. So it’s best to have fat-soluble vitamins with food. They are absorbed far better this way.
You can take water-soluble vitamins any time—you don’t need fat to help with absorption.
Fat-soluble vitamins are toxic in large amounts. Unlike water-soluble vitamins, fat-soluble vitamins are stored, and excess amounts cannot be released through the urine.
Keep in mind that you should be taking water-soluble vitamins while you fast since your body doesn’t store them very well.
Did you know that heart disease is the #1 cause of death for both men and women in the U.S. as well as the rest of the world? After this short video, go here to read the full article + sources and learn more about reducing your risk of cancer and heart disease: http://bit.ly/heart-disease-cancer-co....
Cancer comes in a close second when looking at both U.S. and worldwide causes of mortality. With so many people being affected by both these “heavy hitters,” it just makes sense that common risk factors have to exist that can contribute to both heart disease and cancer.
And there is...
According to a 20-year study of 13,000 men and women conducted by the American Heart Association, people who practice healthy heart habits have a 38% lower risk of developing cancer.
Did you know that for the last 60-plus years, the American medical establishment has used mass media and biased studies to make the false claim that fat in all its forms, and subsequently cholesterol as well, are the main culprits when it comes to heart disease? This biased focus has created a multi-million dollar “low fat / low cholesterol” foods industry… and it’s simply not true.
Heart Disease, Types, Symptoms, Causes, Treatment And Prevention
By: Chukwuemeka Thompson
Heart disease is otherwise known or
called "cardiovascular disease". Cardiovascular disease is a health
condition that involve the blockage or narrowed blood vessels that can
cause heart attack, chest pain(angina) or stroke. Other heart issues,
such as those that affect your heart's muscle's valves or rhythm, also
are considered types of heart disease.
Many types of heart problems can be stooped or curved with healthy lifestyle choices. There are many different types of heart disease that affect different parts of the heart and occur in different ways. (1) Congenital heart disease, (2) Arrhythmia, (3) Coronary artery disease, (4) Dilated cardiomyopathy, (5) Myocardial infaction, (6) Heart failure, (7) Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, (8) Mitral regurgitation, (9) Mitral valve proplapse, (10) Pulmonary stenosis. (1) Congenital heart disease is deformities of the heart present from
birth and this can happen in the form of septal defects which is the
present of a hole between the chambers of the heart. Obstruction
defects, which is the partial or total blockage of blood flowing through
various chambers of the heart and cyanotic heart disease, this is a
defect in the heart where there is shortage of oxygen around the body. (2) Arrhythmia is when irregular heartbeat occurs. There are a lot of
ways this can happen, either by having low , fast, irregular or abnormal
heartbeat, this problem happen as a result of inability of the
electrical impulse in the heart to coordinate the heartbeat and work
properly. Arrhythmia is common among most people and can happen to
individuals with weak to damaged heart. It can be fatal. (3)
Coronary artery disease occurs when the oxygen and nutrients supply to
the heart are cut off by plague deposits that contain cholesterol.
Coronary artery supply the heart muscle with nutrients and oxygen, but
these artery can be diseased or damaged by plague deposits. (4)
Dilated cardiomyopathy is the weakness of the heart muscle which causes
dilated heart chambers and in this case not enough oxygen reaches the
heart muscle dues to coronary artery disease and this effect the left
ventricle. (5) Myocardial infarction is also called heart
attack, cardiac infarction and coronary thrombosis. An interrupted blood
flow damages or destroys part of the heart. It is caused by blood
clothing in the artery which can lead to narrowing or spasms coronary
artery. (6) Heart failure is termed or called congestive heart
failure, this happens when the heart does not pump blood around the body
efficiently. A side of the heart may be affected or both sides.
Coronary artery disease or high blood pressure can cause the heart to be
weak to pump or function properly. (7) Hypertropic
cardiomyopathy is inheritable(50%) from parent to offspring and it is a
situation where the wall of the ventricle thicken, making it difficult
for the blood to be pumped out of the heart. This is the leading cause
of sudden death in athletes. (8) Mitral regurgitation is a
situation whereby the mitral valve in the heart does not close tightly
enough, thus causing blood to flow back to the heart instead of leaving.
As a Result blood cannot circulate efficiently. Individual with this
type of problem often experience tiredness and out of breath. (9) Mitral valve prolpase occurs when the valve between the left atrium
and left ventricule does not fully close, it bulges upwards, or back
into the atrium. It is not a serious issue unless marked by mitral
regurgitarion, this is where it requires treatment. (10)
Pulmonary stenosis, in this case the heart is unable to pump blood from
the right ventricule to the pulmonary artery because the pulmonary valve
is too tight. The right ventricule need to work harder to overcome such
obstruction. An infant with this can turn blue while older children
will have no symptom. Symptoms of heart disease are chest pain,
breathlessness, heart palpitations and symptoms of heart attack are
nausea and vomiting, profuse sweating, lightheadness and dizzy sensation
pains. Heart disease can be caused by damage to some part of
the heart or all part, damage or poor supply of nutrient or oxygen to
the organ or coronary artery. Some type of heart disease like
hypertropic cardiomyopathy are genetic. These alongside congenital heart
defects, can occur before a person is born. There are some risk factor that increase the risk of heart disease. They include; Smoking, Age, Diabetes, Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure(BP),
Overweight and Obesity, Family History, Junk Food, Low Physical Activity
and a history of preeclampsia during pregnancy. All these risk factors
can increase chances of heart disease, for example women above 55years
of age is likely to develop heart disease. Hence, heart disease
can be treated using two methods which are by surgery or by medication.
There are a wide range of medication available for treating heart
disease, many help to prevent blood clothing, but some serve other
purpose. Medications like statins, asprin, beta- blockers and
angiotesin-converting enzymes(ACE) help in treating heart disease. Finally, heart disease can be prevented by eating a balanced diet,
exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy body weight, avoiding
smoking, reducing alcohol intake and controlling high blood pressure or
diabetes.

What is usually a raw food nutrition?
By: Raymond Gillen A uncooked foods diet regime is one
which promotes the consumption of uncooked food items. Raw food, which
include fruits, vegetables, meats, nuts, seeds and herbs, are food items
eaten in their organic, unprocessed, uncooked point out. If an
individual's uncooked foodstuff consumption consists of 75% to 100% of
their general entire foodstuff consumption, then he or she is typically
deemed to be practicing a natural meals diet. Proponents believe a
eating habits of refreshing and uncooked food outcomes in greater health
and fitness benefits when compared to your diet regime largely
consisting of cooked and or processed food items.
Proponents advocate a natural foods weight loss plan with the following primary reasons: o Uncooked food contain a greater level of nutrients compared to cooked
food items. Fruits and vegetables incorporate their highest level of
nutrients just right after they are really harvested. Nutrient reduction
begins after harvest, continues through transport and storage and may
greatly accelerate depending to the cooking strategy employed. o Uncooked food, like fruits and vegetables, are higher in antioxidants which enable forestall certain cancers. o Cooking different food items can end result in vitamin and mineral
losses of as much as 70% to 80%. In common, slightly more exposure food
stuff has to light, heat and oxygen (cutting foods exposes them to
nutrient loss); the worse away from food stuff is from a nutritional
standpoint. Boiling food normally leads to probably the most nutrient
reduction. o Uncooked items include increased amounts of
enzymes. Enzymes are largely proteins, complicated chains of amino
acids, which catalyze or improve the pace of chemical reactions for
example people involved in metabolism and digestion. The raw
neighborhood typically believes that enzymes are destroyed at
temperatures over 116 degrees Fahrenheit, or 47 degrees Celsius, and
that consuming natural goods discharge beneficial enzymes within the
mouth and stomach prior to digestion. o For each the Nationwide
Cancer Institute, scientific studies have proven that cooking meat, in
particular grilling meat, can generate damaging chemical poisons, which
include heterocyclic amines (or HCAs), which can be not present in
uncooked meat. These chemicals, including HCAs, may boost the risk of
creating cancer. Particularly, studies have proven that HCAs boost
threefold when cooking temperatures are above 400 degrees Fahrenheit or
204 degrees Celsius, temperatures usually related to barbecuing,
grilling and frying.
Uncooked goods is usually prepared and
eaten in numerous approaches. Obviously, recent goods could be eaten
uncooked correct immediately after they are really harvested. Juicing
numerous combinations of fruits and vegetables is additionally a
well-known option for consuming recent food items. Natural diets also
include the utilization of a dehydrator. Meals dehydrators use two
fundamental aspects through the food stuff drying method; warmth and
air. A typical dehydrator contains a heating aspect and a fan and vents
for air circulation. A food stuff dehydrator's heating component and fan
get the job done in concert to eliminate moisture from meals. Because
the warmth warms the food, its moisture is released and evaporated in
the air. Food dehydrators are ideally suited instruments for your
preservation and storage of foods. Uncooked food items supporters
dehydrate at temperatures at or beneath 116 degrees Fahrenheit, or 47
degrees Celsius, making sure that important enzymes usually are not
destroyed and nutrient reduction is minimized.
Cancer often strikes fear in the hearts of anyone who even hears the
word. This is largely due to a lack of knowledge about natural,
non-toxic treatments coupled with the abysmal failure of the “Big 3”
conventional treatments (chemo, radiation, and surgery). It pays to know
everything you possibly can about cancer.
Doctors use “stages” of cancer to determine and describe the severity of
your particular case. No matter how many forms of cancer there are,
they share common characteristics that make standard classification
possible.
Knowing the stage of the cancer found in your body enables your health
care provider to formulate a more effective treatment plan and helps you
understand your case more clearly. It also helps your loved ones
understand the scope of your fight against the disease.
Types of Cancer Treatment: Modern Medical Approach
By: Ana Doref
Сancer is a famous "killer" of
cancer patients, which invariably ranks first in the ratings for
prevalence, lethality, and belated diagnosis. Few people know about what
methods of examination can detect cancer at an early stage and what
modern medicine can offer as a weapon in the fight against a tumor.
Malignant neoplasms are a fairly extensive group of tumors, each of
which has its favorite localization, the speed of development and
prognosis. Some cancers are able to grow imperceptibly over the years,
others are characterized by lightning fastness. Nevertheless, doctors
note the general properties of neoplasms of lung tissue: for example,
they are more often found in people who have smoked for many years, as
well as for residents of cities with poor ecology, miners and employees
of harmful industries. The likelihood of cancer increases with age. World statistics is disappointing: according to the World Health
Organization, a million patients are diagnosed with this ailment every
year. Meanwhile, doctors are sure that if patients addressed
them in time, with the 1 and 2 stages of the disease, then the
overwhelming majority of patients could be saved from death. And even
with a delayed diagnosis, there are chances for recovery. The main thing
is to undergo a thorough examination and an effective course of
treatment for cancer. Stages of cancer Classification of
cancer simplifies the selection of optimal treatment tactics, but
doctors analyze the situation far beyond the conventional stages -
because each tumor and each patient is individual. The zero
stage - "cancer in place" - is extremely rare, because it implies the
presence of a microscopic tumor. Doctors usually detect such a tumor by
accident, during the treatment of another pathology of the lungs. It is
quite easy to cure it, the prognosis for the patient's life is
favorable; The first stage implies the presence of a tumor up to 3
cm in diameter, which does not have metastases (in other organs or lymph
nodes). Treatment is almost always successful; The second stage is
diagnosed when cancer has grown to 6 cm, and one or two of the closest
to the body lymph nodes showed malignant cells. In some cases, at this
stage, the oncologists can remove the tumor; The third stage is a
condition in which the tumor has grown enough to affect the adjacent
segment of the body. In this pathological process involves many lymph
nodes, surrounding the body. The prognosis is usually unfavorable, but
proper treatment helps to significantly slow the progression of the
disease. The fourth stage - also called terminal - means that cancer
has escaped from the body tissue, spreading to other parts of the body.
It is not necessary that the initial tumor has a large size: 4 stage of
cancer is diagnosed in each case when there are distant metastases.
Patients with terminal cancer rarely live longer than 2 years. How to treat cancer? A crucial factor in the success of cancer treatment is a timely
diagnosis. In many progressive countries, there has already been a
practice of mandatory regular screening using low-dose computed
tomography (CT). This procedure does not take much time and does not put
patients at risk due to high radiation doses. Compared with the
traditionally used fluorography, CT can establish or disprove the
diagnosis of cancer with much greater accuracy. In addition, a serious
problem is the lack of regular preventive visits to the doctor that
would help to reveal early signs of cancer. As a consequence - a person
comes to the doctor with the symptoms that are characteristic for the
3rd and 4th stages of cancer: a protracted cough, chronic pneumonia and
emaciation.
At the same time, European progressive healthcare
organizations know how to suspect cancer in the early stages, how to
reliably determine the location of the tumor and with the help of which
analyzes and samples it's possible to find out a specific type of
neoplasm in order to choose the best combination of therapeutic methods. When the necessary data on the disease are collected, the doctor
decides on the tactics of fighting cancer. It is a mistake to think that
the only effective method of treating a tumor is a surgical operation.
However, in some situations, oncologists prefer chemotherapy,
radiotherapy or the latest technologies, which provide an opportunity to
reduce neoplasm volumes. Surgical treatment Surgical
treatment is used in situations where the tumor has clear boundaries and
can be removed simultaneously with the nearest lymph nodes. However, if
oncologists have reason to suspect that the malignant cells have spread
widely, they will offer to remove the segment or the whole body (if
possible). Clinical practice shows that patients are able to live a full
active life without some organs. In some cases, when there is no hope
for complete healing, surgeons perform an operation aimed at reducing
the tumor volume and removing metastases from vital organs. Chemotherapy Some types of cancer grow so quickly that trying to remove it with a
scalpel is almost always doomed to failure. Chemotherapy comes to the
rescue: treatment of tumors with drugs that are harmful to malignant
cells (unfortunately, often for healthy ones). In some cases, this
method is the only one that can help the patient. In others,
chemotherapy is combined with surgery, allowing to reduce the amount of
surgery and exclude relapse. The optimal solution is an
individual selection of drugs taking into account the peculiarities of
the course of the disease, which is possible only after genetic analysis
of tumor cells extracted from the biopsy. Medications are
prescribed by courses, at intervals of several weeks (this is necessary
to allow the body to recover from side effects). At the end of therapy,
the patient undergoes a tomography scan to track how the tumor changes
under the influence of chemotherapy. Chemotherapy cancer drugs: Platinum drugs destroy the DNA of cancer cells. They relate to cytostatic agents of the alkylating type of action; Alkylating agents - these drugs destroy proteins that are responsible for the formation of DNA of cancer cells; Anthracyclines are drugs that form free radicals that damage the DNA of diseased cells (daunorubicin active ingredient); Antimetabolites are drugs that affect the genetic apparatus of the cell
and kill it during division. As a rule, the basis of these drugs is
Gemcitabine (cytotoxic drug, antimetabolite from the group of pyrimidine
antagonists); Taxanes are drugs that disrupt the process of dividing cancer cells; Vincalcaloids refer to the soft means of chemotherapy, which destroy the cytoskeleton of cancer cells. Hormonal cancer drugs Hormonal drugs are used to treat hormone-dependent tumors, such as
uterine cancer, prostate cancer and breast cancer. Also, hormonal drugs
are prescribed to patients with such oncological diseases as a kidney
tumor, a pancreas tumor, melanoma. In male cancers,
estrogen-containing drugs are prescribed to suppress androgens. In
female cancers, androgen-containing drugs are prescribed (Tamoxifen,
Herceptin, Taxol); For both forms of cancer, such drugs as Avastin and Zoladex are recommended; Doctors also prescribe hormonal drugs for thyroid cancer: Thyreocombe, Thyroxin. Although hormonal drugs for cancer are effective, they have the
opposite side - with long use, the body becomes immune to these drugs,
and this weakens the effect of chemotherapeutic drugs over time. Antiviral drugs for cancer Some types of cancer develop due to the action of viruses. Antiviral
drugs are prescribed to increase the resistance of immunity. One
of such viruses is the human papillomavirus. In order to strengthen the
immune system of a person with cancer, a doctor prescribes drugs based
on interferon (tilorone) solutions for internal injections or ointment
compresses. Radiotherapy Radiation therapy is based on
the harmful effect of radiation on living cells prone to rapid division.
If a person has cancer, then primarily the tumor will suffer from
radiotherapy. Doctors use devices that allow you to direct a focused
beam of X-rays to the area where the tumor is located. Healthy tissues
suffer insignificantly, especially if radiation is "delivered" directly
to the body with a probe inserted into the body through the upper
respiratory tract.
With some types of cancer and the presence of
contraindications for surgery, radiotherapy is the only method of
treatment. Radiotherapy is also prescribed to destroy or reduce the
volume of metastases in lymph nodes and other organs. Photodynamic therapy This method has recently appeared in the arsenal of oncologists.
Photodynamic therapy is a session of exposure to light of a certain
length on the tumor, which is preliminarily treated with a special drug
(photosensitizing agent), which increases the sensitivity of malignant
cells to such an effect. Under the influence of the rays, the neoplasm
decreases in size, and the effect of the course lasts for several
months. Photodynamic therapy can be used as an additional method
of treating cancer, improving the prognosis of recovery, and as a basic
medical tactic, to alleviate the symptoms of the disease in an
irreversible stage. Advanced treatment approaches If the
doctor offers treatment methods that you have never heard of, do not
think that you will be a part of an "experiment". It's not necessarily
about using some outlandish drugs or newly invented devices. This group
also includes proven methods, which were mentioned above, but with
modifications to the way they are used. For example, many modern clinics
offer patients to experience the "Cyber-knife" - a device for focused
radiation therapy, which literally burns a tumor, without incisions and
anesthesia. Another example is the use of the newest chemotherapy drugs
that block the growth of blood vessels around the neoplasm, disrupting
its nutrition. As a result, the chances of a successful victory over
cancer are increasing. Despite encouraging results of scientific
research, doctors still cannot guarantee the result in each specific
clinical situation: a patient sometimes reacts to treatment in an
unpredictable way. However, the patient and his family should do
everything possible to fight cancer. An important role in the forecast
is played by the patient's psychological mood. Complex treatment of cancer Usually, cancer treatment is combined and consists of chemotherapy,
surgery and radiotherapy. Sometimes, in addition, high-dose chemotherapy
and stem cell transplantation are prescribed. Children are treated
according to standardized schemes. In practice, such treatment requires a
well-coordinated teamwork of medical specialists in various fields:
oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, psychologists, nurses and many
other hospital staff.

My first interview of 2020 is with Annie Grace. Annie is the author of a book called This Naked Mind: Control Alcohol, Find Freedom, Discover Happiness, and Change Your Life. This interview is incredible. But first, as a primer, here are a few important facts about alcohol: Alcohol can cause irreversible genetic damage to stem cells and is known to cause at least seven types of cancer: oral, pharynx, larynx, oesophageal, liver, colorectal, and female breast cancers.
In 2018 a large scale review
was published which found that any level of alcohol consumption is tied
to an increased risk of cancer, heart disease, and early death. Another 2018 study
on over 400,000 people found that “light drinkers” who only had 1-2
drinks, four or more times a week had a 20% higher risk of premature
death, than those who drank three times per week or less, no matter what
their age. Contrary to popular belief, moderate alcohol consumption (like a glass of red wine per day) is not associated with a longer life. Sadly, in the last 20 years, alcohol-related deaths in the United States have doubled, with the greatest increases in women and in people middle-aged or older. Ok, those are the facts, now for the interview… Annie
Grace was raised by hippie parents in a one-room cabin with no
electricity or running water that could only be accessed by snowmobile
in the winter (we talk about this). After high school, she earned a
master’s degree in business and at 26, Annie was hired as the youngest
Vice President in a multinational company. Soon after, she was
encouraged to attend happy hours and to drink socially to network with
colleagues and clients in order to further her career. By age 35,
Annie was a marketing executive responsible for teams in 28 countries.
She had two young children and she was drinking almost two bottles of
wine per night. That’s when she realized she had a problem. After
many failed attempts, Annie discovered a unique and powerful approach to
conquering alcohol addiction, without the stigma, guilt, and shame
associated with identifying as an “alcoholic” for life.
Annie’s method has helped thousands of people transform their lives and gain freedom from alcohol. If
you are drinking alcohol daily, if you are struggling with excessive
drinking, if you don’t fit into the AA model or it hasn’t worked for
you, or if someone you care about is drinking a lot, then this interview
is for you. Enjoy!
Supermodel and raw food enthusiast Carol Alt shares more about the raw food diet and raw food health benefits at TTAC LIVE 2019.
We all know that you can treat disease by using food as medicine. And
there is no one better to talk about this concept than supermodel Carol
Alt. Carol shares her uplifting story of learning to see food as
medicine, and not the enemy. In the 70s and 80s her answer for weight
loss was to simply… stop eating. By the time she was 35, she had no
energy, she was hypoglycemic, and she could see premature signs of
aging.
Watch the full video to find out what she did to radically change her
life! Hint: it has a little something to do with raw food and all of the
health benefits of raw food diet. Stay tuned for more in Part 2!
Raw Food Debate – Are Raw Fruits and Vegetables Really Good for You?
By: Robin Pimentyl
Despite the fact that cooked food
has its health benefits, raw food devotees compellingly believe that
cooking causes damage to the inherent nutrients found in food.
A
number of studies done in recent years by many but in particular by
Harvard Medical School established that a high-level consumption of
lycopene (a red pigment primarily found in tomatoes and other food such
as papaya, pink guava, red bell pepper and watermelon) lowers the
potential of cancer and heart attacks, and could in fact be a more
intense antioxidant than vitamin C. An autonomous analysis
reported by Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, reveals that
lycopene is in fact increased when tomotoes are heated. One particular
variety of lycopene in tomatoes, cis-lycopene, increased by 35% when
cooked for 30 minutes at 190.4°F (88°C). This is due to the thick walls
of the fruit being destroyed by the heating process, which facilitates
the body to absorb the nutrients that are bound to the fruit’s walls.
One of the superior internal meat thermometer's to help you in correctly
measuring the temperature of your food is the efectivCHEF Quick Read
Digital Cooking Thermometer. Steamed or boiled vegetables such
as carrots, spinach, peppers, asparagus, mushrooms and cabbage also
discharge more antioxidants to the body than they do when consumed raw.
Whilst both steaming and boiling of zucchini, carrots and broccoli
preserves antioxidants better than frying, boiling is considered to be
the superior method of cooking.
Nonetheless, the disadvantage of
heating vegetables is that it can destroy some of their vitamin C,
seeing as it is easily degraded due to heat, oxidation and cooking in
water (in fact it dissolves in water). But, the trade-off may just be
worth it as vitamin C can be found in many more fruits and vegetables
(such as kale, broccoli, caultiflower, oranges and carrots) than
lycopene. That said, when a few plants, especifically
cruciferous vegetables for example cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage are
cooked, an organic composite called Indole, is produced, which helps to
destroy precancerous cells prior to them turning malignant. So
in conclusion, it's evident that it’s no easy task when comparing the
benefits of raw and cooked food. There are still many ambiguities about
how various molecules in plants respond with the human body.
Nonetheless, the conclusion is to eat your fruit and vegetables
regardless as to how they are prepared.

may change your life! Get the full article + sources here: http://bit.ly/forest-bathing-cancer.
For generations, mankind has struggled to find a cure for cancer. We’ve
spent billions on research and development as thousands of therapies
have been used to treat different forms of the disease.
Once the pharmaceutical industry got involved, those therapies quickly
narrowed to expensive drugs and harmful treatments that have become the
standard of care in Western medicine.
In Japan, they have a different approach that’s been scientifically
proven to increase the body’s anti-cancer ability: forest bathing.
Did you know that by 2050, nearly 2/3 of the world’s population is
projected to live in urban centers? Or that the EPA estimates that the
average American spends 87% of their time indoors, and another 6% in
their vehicles?
The absolute best way to treat and beat cancer is to stop it from
developing in the first place. And it turns out that keeping our immune
system strong may be as simple as getting out into nature.
Pack Up Your Troubles and Take Them for a Walk
By: Julia Fabris Mcbride
I walked out of our backdoor last Fall with a troubled mind, two hours of free time, and a thirty pound toddler on my back.
Four miles later, my shoulders were sagging, but my heart was lighter, my mind was clear, and I knew what I needed to do.
I guess you could say that I went looking for God and found a Red Tail Hawk.
It
is October, almost November. The prairie air is crisp and cool, and the
tall grass blankets the hills in golden-brown. Seeds and sumac leaves
tumble in the wind. The vultures of summer have departed, and the bold
Northern Harriers have returned to perform their graceful, gliding
dances in the sky. Autumn is a deceptively potent time of year. The
killing frost on the ground this morning looks bleak from my bedroom
window, but get out in it, and life is singing and scurrying everywhere.

Nature.
If you need permission to get out and take a walk, I’m
giving it to you. If your mind is in a jumble, or your heart is aching
with questions that you don’t quite understand, a mini-break in nature
is not a luxury. It is a necessity.
Allow me to paint a picture of how your mini-break might unfold.
You
plan your outing ahead of time, picking a place that you love, or one
that you’ve been interested in exploring. It is a place where you are
not likely to be disturbed by other people, a place with a trail and one
or two spots where you can stop and sit for a while.
You wear your favorite walking shoes, and a warm coat with deep pockets. Maybe you’ll even want a hood.
Take
a favorite book of poetry – anything by Mary Oliver or Wendell Berry
will surely fit the bill. If you have a little knapsack, pack your
journal or a thermos of ginger tea.
This does not have to be a
solitary journey. Invite a friend, or your children, if you wish, but
make sure that everyone agrees to honor at least one full hour of shared
silence.
If there is a question or decision weighing on your
mind, it is welcome to tag along. But try not to hold on to your
question too tightly. Just write it on a scrap of paper and stuff it in
your pocket. Be open to the idea that in an hour or two the question
won’t feel quite as important any more.
What is a team if not a
group of people who must learn to trust each other enough to get the job
done? What is leadership if not the ability to help a group develop the
trust that is necessary to achieve important and difficult things
together?
It is worth remembering what it was like to be eighteen
– totally inexperienced in the work of civic leadership, but courageous
enough to ask hard questions of ourselves and others. Let nature take
its course. Walk slowly. Fill the whole hour with silence. It’s exercise
for your soul as much as for your body. Listen to the wind in the
leaves and the sound of your footsteps. Stop and touch a tree. Feel its
heartbeat.
Pick up a rock and carry it with you for awhile. Put an acorn in your
pocket. Let the cool water of a creek wash over your fingertips. Catch a
grasshopper loosely in your hands and let it hop away. Finding a quiet
spot, flip open your book of poetry, and read whatever poem your eyes
fall on first. Close your eyes and listen to the world around you.
Breathe and listen to the soul inside you. Open your eyes and look for
as many different colors as you can find.
This is easy. Don’t make it hard.
Don’t
talk yourself out of doing this because you don’t have the two or three
days necessary to drive or fly to some perfect place.
There is solace and sustenance in the tiniest city park.
I’ve
reconnected with my own autumnal wisdom amidst the wind and the waves
along Lake Michigan in Chicago, in the company squirrels and birds and
dog walkers, under the falling red leaves around Lake Phalen in Saint
Paul, in mile after mile of solitude on the towpaths of Northern Ohio,
on a windswept peak in Scotland, and cloaked in the dramatic damp of
California’s Lost Coast.
It’s not about the altitude. It’s about your attitude.
Where will you rediscover yourself this fall?
