Bowie State University's football team is ranked 4th in Super Region 2 of the NCAA, the NCAA announced in the most recent Regional Rankings released on Monday, October 23. The top eight teams in each of the four Super Regions of the NCAA are invited to the Division II Playoffs.
Bowie State, the 20th ranked team in the AFCA Poll, will celebrate Homecoming this Saturday (October 28th) playing host to Lincoln (Pa.) University at 1 p.m. and will close out the regular season at Elizabeth City State University on Saturday, November 4th.
Virginia State is currently ranked #3 in Super Region 2 while fellow CIAA school Virginia Union University is currently ranked 10th.
The NCAA selections will be revealed at 5:00 p.m., ET, on Sunday, November 12 with the first round of the playoffs beginning at noon on Saturday, November 18.
