Courage in the Lonely Hour
The loneliest moments often become opportunities to experience God’s presence in a deeper way.
Loneliness is one of the most isolating, painful feelings people face. God designed us for connection, both with Him and with others. From the very beginning, He said it was not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18).
Yet even the most faithful believers face seasons of loneliness. Picture Elijah standing alone on Mount Sinai after fleeing for his life (1 Kings 19:9-10) or Jesus praying alone in the garden while His disciples slept nearby (Matthew 26:36-46). These moments weren’t failures of faith—they were simply part of the human experience.
It’s wonderful to celebrate with others, sharing in the happiness of those we care about. But true partnership reveals itself in times of both rejoicing and challenge.
In the book of Acts, Paul is the most prominent apostle. But there were also others who traveled with him—faithful companions who deserve our attention. One example is Aristarchus. He’s at a riot in Ephesus, where he’s dragged into the theater alongside Paul. Later, he boards a ship with Paul, who is a prisoner bound for Rome. They suffer together through a storm and shipwreck. The final times he’s mentioned, we see him as Paul’s fellow prisoner and coworker (Colossians 4:10; Philemon 1:24).

LeBron James just revealed his real GOAT — and it's not Michael Jordan. The NBA's all-time scoring leader admits he's never had a single conversation with Jordan. But Jay-Z? Every business decision, every partnership, every move is filtered through one question: "Is this going to make him proud?" Jason Whitlock and former Jay-Z mentee and NFL star Larry Johnson break down LeBron's stunning admission. This isn't just a basketball story — it's about mentorship, legacy, and what LeBron's real ambitions have always been. Jordan built a brand by becoming the standard of excellence. LeBron built a brand by following a rap mogul steeped in occult imagery. One path leads to an undisputed GOAT. The other leads to something else entirely. Jason has thoughts. God gave us the Bible so we could know Him and live in ways that honor Him. He wants us to truly understand His teachings and how they apply to our life. Simply put, the Lord invites us to trust in Him with complete confidence.
Yet many of us know what it’s like to stumble into sin and immediately feel our assurance crumble. Regret and shame whisper their accusations: There’s no way I can be saved. If I were truly saved, I’d never have done such a thing. The Father’s love for His children is so wide, long, high, and deep that we can never fully fathom its extent (Ephesians 3:14-19). God’s love is constant, unchanging, and eternal. But sometimes our feelings tell us otherwise.
We frequently correlate our behavior and divine love. When we have been good, we believe that we’re loved by God. But when we sin or make mistakes, we sometimes question how much He cares for us. After a series of missteps, we might conclude He disapproves of us far more often than He loves us. Keep reading with the Intouch App @Apple,@Amazon
