One of the most fun, challenging parts of my work is convincing many who struggle with excess body fat that what you "have always done" will never work. You can just simply see evidence by the fact that you have to go back to the same cycle of up and down weight loss and weight gain.
This unfortunate cycle fools the body into thinking that its starving and makes it harder and harder for you to lose body fat. Whether its January 2, April 2, or September 2, which are the typical months that many people rush to gyms, fitness studios, kick boxing classes and the like to start another failed weight loss cycle. I know you are smarter than that. Bikini Body Mommy Cindy Finally Gets to Wear Her Goal Bikini!
Good morning Athletes and Warriors!
With today's transformation let's all keep in mind that the reason you see success like this is because the warrior is working from the inside out. The bikini body may be the goal, but form follows function, which means if you want to look it you have to live it! True, real, lasting success in all fitness endeavors works by making the sometimes subtle lifestyle changes that make your body function in a more healthy manner. Then and only then will we all get excited to see the true new you! -Nate Bikini Body Mommy Cindy Finally Gets to Wear Her Goal Bikini! I am so thrilled to share my Bikini Body Mommy Cindy’s story with you! If she looks familiar to you, that’s because Cindy completed the Hitch Fit Online Personal Training Lose Weight Feel Great plan with me a year ago. She made great progress and shed 10% body fat in 12 weeks and we featured her remarkable progress(Cindy’s Fit Mom Transformation). In 2016, she was back for more. Cindy is an online client, but lives in Kansas City, so she was able to come into the gym and do her after pix for her first plan. She wasn’t comfortable at that time to take those photos in her bikini. She was ready to set some new goals and get to the place where she felt strong and confident in her bikini. She decided to take on the Hitch Fit Bikini Model plan. About half way through her 2nd transformation Cindy sent me a photo of herself in a bikini. She had taken this photo months before discovering Hitch Fit, and always dreamed of being able to wear that bikini in an after shoot . She had tried other popular weight loss plans to no avail, she was excited to share that picture knowing that with her incredible progress her dream was going to COME TRUE!! Check it out!! Not only does it fit..it’s now TOO BIG! Cindy has now lost a total of 30 pounds and 18% body fat! She ROCKED her after shoot, and was there on the same day as Kansas City Meteorologist Lisa Teachman (who is also co-host of the Better Kansas City show!). This was so ironic because it was the Better Kansas City show where Cindy first saw Hitch Fit and was inspired to take the first steps to change! It was so fun to see the two of them excitedly sharing what their Hitch Fit journey’s had been like. Cindy’s Stats: Starting weight for Lose Weight plan: 147 Ending weight after Lose Weight plan: 127 Ending weight after Bikini Plan: 117 Starting body fat for Lose Weight Plan: 35% Ending body fat for Lose Weight Plan: 25% Ending body fat for Bikini Plan: 17% Cindy’s Story: “Right after high school, I bought a bikini that just made me feel like I looked good when I wore it. There was nothing special about it, but it was good quality and simple design, but I absolutely adore it. When I gained weight, it was the one piece of clothing I couldn’t bring myself to throw out. I began to hate the way I looked in swimsuits and really wanted to feel good about my image, like I did when I wore that bikini and I desperately wanted to be able to wear it again some day. Each summer I took it out, tried it on, sighed and put it back. In September 2014, before I found Hitch Fit, I took a “before” photo in my bikini. I was about to begin a new exercise/nutrition plan that was INSANE and from all the good reviews I KNEW I was going to have an awesome “after” photo! After 4 months, I had gained 2 pounds of weight and didn’t look any leaner. I was so down. I knew I had the motivation to get my body where I wanted to be but lacked the right combination. A few months later I found Hitch Fit, began my first program, and had amazing “after” photosfrom the Lose Weight Feel Great program. However, I was still not comfortable having my photos taken in a bikini. A year after completing my first program, I contacted Diana about taking things up a notch. I wanted something more intense, more challenging and together we found the program that fit my goals. I was actually excited to have my photos taken in a bikini this time! Sadly, I am still unable to wear “the” bikini as it is now TOO BIG and falls off in water, but I’m learning to cope:) Who knows, I may see if it can be altered to fit. It would seem a shame to hold on to something that is too big! I have had more than one person ask me if I am still eating healthy and doing all that working out now that my program is done, and the answer is YES! I plan to continue to eat healthy for the rest of my life! And I plan to be lifting weights as long as my body will allow. Not just for myself, but for my family. Lead by example, isn’t that what they say? Before I started my second program I added quite a few new elements to the home gym and now my husband is enjoying working out and being able to blow off some steam after work. He is eating healthier as well and I love it! I know that my workouts are time consuming and as a mom of two, I had a hard time in the beginning, justifying spending so much time working out with the kids around. I felt like I was being a bad mom by ignoring them and it would stress me out. Now, I invite the kids to come workout with me and it has become a bonding time. I put on the music they like and help them come up with exercises to do, help them with their form and have even gotten them their own weights to use. They have a great time getting “strong” with their mom and I love it! I even have an awesome running partner for those shorter cardio bursts. It may take me longer to get through my workouts, but it’s so worth it to have that time with them and to make being healthy a part of our lives. I am so thankful to have found Diana, Micah and Hitch Fit. Bikini Model Competition Plan – Beckie’s Amazing Success Story!
I first had the honor of working with Beckie, an online personal training client from Tennessee, back in 2014. She was ready for change and did the Hitch FitLose Weight Plan “Lose Weight Feel Great”. She did an incredible job, not only did she lose over 40 pounds, she also greatly improved her running times! Her first transformation story inspired so many others to make positive changes. So when she came to me in 2016 ready to tackle some brand new goals, I was so thrilled to have her back! This time around, Beckie had her sites sent on a Bikini Model competition. She wanted to compete in the WBFF Kansas City event. After a lot of challenging life situations that had popped up, she needed a big goal to direct her focus and energy to. I was of course happy to have her back! Beckie is determined and diligent, and I am so proud of her. She did both the Bikini Model category as well as the Transformation category. I have to be honest, the transformation category is my favorite, to see Beckie’s picture up on the wall, and to be able to hold her hand right before she stepped out on that stage, was a moment I won’t forget. I think we were both fighting back tears looking at the before picture on the screen, and the “after” standing right there in front of us! Beckie received an invitation to compete in the transformation division at the WBFF World Championships, where she will be able to inspire even more people! Incredible job Beckie, I can’t describe how proud I am of you, and am blessed to be a part of your empowering and inspiring journey.
Since her first transformation Beckie has now lost over 45 pounds and 20% body fat!

Beckie’s Story:
“I first started my journey with Hitch Fit in June of 2014. At that time I was at my heaviest of 165 and a size 12.
I have always been up and down on my weight depending on the time of the year. I honestly would have to say that my weight issues started when I was in High School. At that time I was playing sports and my metabolism was very good, but I also did not eat correctly or often. I would go all day without eating and maybe have one meal and it was either fast food or sugar. College is where things got really interesting. My eating got even worse including binge eating and binge drinking not to mention sleeping was not on the top priority between school, work and assignments. Pretty sure my “freshman 15” turns into more “freshman 20/30”. I tried to take the easy way and started taking diet pills, the ones with ephedrine in them. I did lose weight with them but I was constantly shaking and would break out into sweats while sitting down at work. Shortly after a friend that had introduced the pills to me was admitted to the hospital with heart problems, as a side effect of the pills, that is when I quit them and with that all my weight and extra came back.
I then decide that I was going to join a gym and do it the healthy way, or so I though. I didn’t change any of my bad habits of eating or drinking and thought that the cardio I was doing in the gym would counteract the toxins I was putting in my body. I would only do cardio, no lifting to tone my muscles. I let this go on for about 10-12 years and then I met Brandi Wisdom. Her husband was friends with my brother-in-law and she told me about Hitch Fit. I first looked into it in February and thought there was NO WAY that I could do it, so I put it off and continued to gain weight. In May I came to realize that I needed help, I reached out to Micah with a million questions and a month later I was on my journey.
I did the Lose Weight Feel Great had great success with it, lose 42 lbs. Shortly before the program was over my husband and I started have serious issues with our relationship where we were even discussing divorce. I know it’s an excuse but I turned to bad habits to help me cope with the pain, lots and lots of wine and eating out with friends rather than going home. I ended up gaining some of the weight back, to be honest probably 25lbs. Thankfully we were able to work out our issues and are happily married again.
But we both felt like we need to push ourselves and made fitness goals. I have friend that have competed in bikini competitions and had encouraged me to do one after my 1st transformation but the timing wasn’t right. At the first of the year I decide that it was time to push myself again and not only lose the weight again but to have the confidence to step on stage. So of course I reached out to my trainer and friend Diana, doing the Competition Prep 16 Week Plan. This program unlike a lot of the other completers was all done online, I had the guidance of Diana trough email and sending her weekly pictures (not my favorite) so she could guide me properly. During the program I pushed myself both mentally and physically and Diana and I came up with goals for the show. I didn’t reach my weight lose goal I was 4 lbs shy but we got my BMI back down and where it needed to be for the show. Week prior to the show I was in a size 2 and my weight was at 119.
I kept this journey very hush-hush for most of the transformation; after my last transformation I got several negative comments about it and didn’t want to hear it. Not sure why I cared I was doing this for me. I came to understand that a lot of what people say, that is hurtful, is their insecurities coming out. For the most part all the comments I have received have been positive but of course still get comments of “you’re too skinny”, “will you eat something” etc. The other thing that stings is friends not calling you to hang out because you don’t drink, makes you wonder if you were only fun when you were intoxicated. Was chatting with another girl at the competition and she said she shut people out because of these things and I told her I felt shut out; she then admitted that was the same for her, just made her feel better to say she was doing it.
On May of 2016 I stepped onto stage at the Midland in Kansas City entering the Transformation and Bikini Division. I did not place in bikini, which is ok with me I know I still have things to improve. I was just proud to get on the stage and show my progress which was truly shown in the Transformation category. The MC read my story while I stood backstage with my before picture on the largest screen I have ever seen which made me look even bigger; with tears in my eyes I stepped on stage and received the best applause for the hard work and dedication I had put in. I am honor to say that I have been invited to World’s for the transformation category. I’m not done, plan on competing again… Me against me!!!
For those of you who think that you can’t do it, you can just trust the process. A few tips that helped me… Food prep, I would cook all my meals on Monday for the week so I had no excuse to grab something unhealthy. Do you workouts first thing if you can, I found that putting them off made it harder to get them done. Keep a journal so you can look back at what you were doing compared to now, it’s amazing to see your growth. And just keep a good attitude.
I have to say that this truly changed my life and made me start living again. I have to thank Hitch Fit they truly made me the person I am and I am forever grateful for that. Diana, my trainer and friend, not sure I could have done this without you nor would I have wanted to so thank you from the bottom of my heart! She got more than she bargain for on some of the email conversation we had (I will leave that between the two of us). I must thank my family; I really did not give them enough credit. I thought they wouldn’t understand which would turn into not supporting me but that was not the case. They were at the morning, evening show and posting comments about how proud they were on social media. And my biggest supporter, my husband, don’t think he will ever know how much he helped. Thanks!!”

I can imagine and have experienced myself what it feels like to see your body change in the most positive of ways. Every one of these transformations could have been anyone who makes a commitment, designs and delivers a plan and is willing to do what it takes to execute said plan. No its not easy, but hardly impossible for anyone willing.

Kristin’s Story:
“I didn’t even wait until I had finished the Hitch Fit Lose Weight Plan before I signed up for the Bikini Model Plan. I knew I wanted to achieve more and get further. I would be lying if I said looks wasn’t a big part of the motivation but it would be an equal lie to say it was the only factor. I love the way a fit body appears but I am amazed by how it feels!
On some level you of course know that being fit will feel better but experiencing it has been more then I expected. My whole life is better in every aspect. And the level of satisfaction and confidence I have now is incredible. Every sacrifice and hard day was worth it. Doing this is just worth what ever it takes to get there.
It is time consuming and takes commitment but making fitness and health my hobby (this is what I started calling it) is the key to a great life. I am experiencing so many unexpected improvements in all aspects of my life through this.
Don’t get me wrong though, there is never a day that getting up early to workout is fun or going into the gym for my second workout of the day is exciting. These things are still a struggle. What is easier though is doing it anyway! Knowing that this is what I want and learning that this is what it takes.
The bikini model plan wasn’t harder then the first program per se but near the end it was tough mentally to keep up the strict commitment. I soared through the first 8 weeks with no problem and loved all the workouts and the new eating routines but then at week 9 I just felt like I hit a wall. I just wanted a break (lets not kid ourselves – I wanted chocolate). And it didn’t help that I had hit a plateau at week 4.
Diana was great and supportive (which I have really needed during both programs – just to know I am doing ok and it’s ok to have a bad day or even a bad week. And it’s ok to hit a plateau). At this point she told me to take a couple days off and to even take a week break. I took a full week off and she completely supported me. This really helped and I was able to come back feeling mentally and physically stronger. This helped me push harder for the last few weeks and probably get further then I would have otherwise.
Without Diana telling me this was ok and encouraging me to keep pushing (promising results would eventually arrive) I might have felt defeated and disappointed in myself. But with her help I was able to see past the wall and get over it. Now I know this can and will happen and it is ok. Results truly will arrive with consistency. This is a huge thing I have learned. Quitting is all too easy. Faltering and getting back at it is what makes you stronger and successful.
I can’t even imagine eating “normal cheat foods” such as chips, fast food, or sugary baked goods. That sounds crazy (and it’s not like I never can or will have these things) but after doing this for 6 months, and loving my body and loving how I feel, I honestly LOVE eating healthy food and will choose it any time over something unhealthy. I’m sometimes even embarrassed at the grocery store due to how many vegetables I am buying.
Healthy food isn’t ever a sacrifice or a hard choice anymore.
I have also learned that how I eat, the amount of water I drink, and the amount of sleep I get directly and immensely effects my motivation and energy when it comes to my workouts and my day. So every choice has a consequence and knowing what I want to achieve helps me make those good choices. I just don’t find this lifestyle difficult anymore and that is what I am most grateful for through this process – I can now sustain this body and this lifestyle.
I think that continuing on and doing a second program was hugely important for making it to this point. If I had been happy and content with my physical results after the lose weight program I think I would have slowly made my way back into old habits. I just hadn’t turned that corner yet. This 4-6 month mark has really been the big change.
My habits are no longer my old habits, they are my new habits: clean healthy eating, exercise and continued improvement.
Something amazing that occurred during this second program as well, is that I really learned how to listen and hear my body. When your eating habits and daily life habits are all over the map there is just no way to know what is making you feel a certain way. The whole thing is chaos. But after months of making healthy choices and doing things correctly I know exactly what is causing what. I know if I didn’t drink enough water. I know if I had dairy (apparently I have a slight lactose intolerance – who knew?) and I know if I didn’t get enough sleep.
I feel like I know so much about myself now. I would never have thought I could be so in tune and aware of myself. Perhaps I thought I was before but now I know the difference. And I didn’t reach this point in the first 12 week program, it was only by continuing on and reaching further. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next 6 months and then the next year and then past that!
I am so grateful that I found Hitch Fit and gave it a chance. It is what I needed and for what I got there isn’t a price tag.”

But after months of making healthy choices and doing things correctly I know exactly what is causing what. I know if I didn’t drink enough water. I know if I had dairy (apparently I have a slight lactose intolerance – who knew?) and I know if I didn’t get enough sleep.
I feel like I know so much about myself now. I would never have thought I could be so in tune and aware of myself. Perhaps I thought I was before but now I know the difference. And I didn’t reach this point in the first 12 week program, it was only by continuing on and reaching further. Brittany’s Stats: Starting weight: 144.2 Ending weight: 126 Starting body fat: 23% Ending body fat: 15% Brittany’s Story: “I have always led an active lifestyle ever since I was young, being a competitive dancer, cheerleading and joining a gym when I was in high school. I continued to be an avid gym goer into college and got big into running after I graduated, where I completed 5Ks and a half marathon. Shortly after that I faced some challenges struggling with finding a consistent job and going through a horrific break up, ending a 6 and a half-year relationship. At that time I went through a period where I lost a significant amount of weight (and not the healthy way) followed by gaining it all back and then some! Although I never stopped going to the gym, I lost sight of my eating habits and what exactly I was putting in my mouth. That is what truly had an impact on my body. Coming from a big Italian family it is nearly impossible to avoid food, let only unhealthy ones. So for about a year I contemplated competing in a fitness show, and at 26 years old and the heaviest I had ever been in my life I knew that it was time. A friend of my mine who is a professional fitness competitor had recommended Hitch Fit to me and seeing her results was all the convincing I needed. So I contacted Diana and she set me up on a 12-week program designed to get me stage ready! The program was tailored specifically to meet my needs and eased me into each competition prep phase week by week. I spoke with Diana on a weekly basis, sending progress pictures and body stats as she coached me through what type of nutrition and workouts I needed to work on. She was always honest with me telling me when I was making good way or when I needed to push a little harder. My plan was strict, however I knew it had to be in order for me to be able to compete. My diet was manageable since I do love healthy foods, it just taught me how to read labels properly, portion control and how to space out my eating times to keep my metabolism up. My workouts varied, which kept my body guessing and allowed me to try new things that I found to enjoy, instead of the same old boring routine. I woke up everyday seeing my same self in the mirror so the progress pictures are what really allowed me to notice the progress I was making. As it got closer to the show Diana guided me in getting together my posing and stage presence down. July 2015, I stepped on stage in my first fitness competition feeling and looking the best I have ever been in my life! Without Hitch Fit, and the support and guidance from Diana I would not be where I am today, healthier and happier! Since show day Diana had given me a plan to incorporate in order to help maintain my results. I hope to compete in another show in the future however Hitch Fit has given me valuable skills and knowledge about nutrition and fitness that I know I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”

Experts Study Vitamin Megadoses And Today's Amazing Transformation!

Here is another article on supplementation. You will hear all kinds of opinions on this subject. (heck just ask anybody whose taken a vitamin and you'll see); I also get a lot of questions on this very subject.
I have found that simply use supplements at they were intended, to supplement your solid meal and exercise plan. Miss the other two components then you are simply making a donation to your local vitamin shop or supplement website. Read on carefully.

Experts Study Vitamin Megadoses

A committee at the Institute of Medicine (IOM) has begun wrestling with setting safe maximum intakes for key nutrients such as vitamin C, thiamin, riboflavin, and other B vitamins.
The IOM's Subcommittee on Upper Reference Levels of Nutrients is one of several panels revising the government's current recommended average daily intake of nutrients. The IOM has already issued a report on folic acid and the B vitamins, and in the fall, is expected to publish another on antioxidants.
This Subcommittee, which met most recently last Thursday, will eventually issue a report on how much of any vitamin, mineral, or herbal product can be safely taken without toxic side effects. So far, there are few controlled studies evaluating safe maximum intakes.
Even so, many dietary supplement manufacturers sell megadose vitamins, minerals and botanicals, with scant evidence that higher dosages are more effective. There is also little data on safety of vitamins and minerals taken at high levels.
We are looking at new uses of nutrients, and new dimensions of uses,' said Subcommittee member Dr. Sanford Miller, dean of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio.
Dr. John Hathcock, of the Washington, DC-based Council for Responsible Nutrition, said he has seen thiamin sold in 500 milligram (mg) capsules, vitamin C in 1,500 mg tablets, and niacin in 1,000 mg capsules. Studies so far have shown no toxicity with oral thiamin up to 500 mg, but it can change the color of urine and produce an offensive body odor, he said.
Niacin can cause gastrointestinal distress and some liver toxicity at 500 mg doses, Hathcock said.
The panel's job won't be easy, according to Miller. There is no dose-response data for most nutrients, few surveillance, or animal or human chronic intake studies, and most traditional trials have focused on safe intake levels, not maximum tolerable levels, he said.

Words can not express how thankful I am to Micah lacerte from hitch fit, but the pictures and smile on my face can say it all. “I did it, and it feels awesome” yay!!
For years now I’ve struggle with my body, it got to the point where I would close my eyes every time I walked by the mirror on my way to the shower. I hated seeing my fat stomach, it made me very sad. It also made me very frustrated because I did often go to the gym and I thought I ate pretty healthy. The issue was that I didn’t eat enough, I was actually starving my body. I would eat and then go for hours without eating anything in that day.
I work as a flight attendant and I travel so much for work and for pleasure. The excuses for me were “I travel a lot”, “I’m on call, so I never know where I am going”, “I love wine, I could never stop that”. I also took 2 vacations during this 12 week program. I was so determined that I became an expert at packing food to work and vacations, yes I brought my own food to the Turks and Caicos and in Hawaii I went grocery shopping, now every time I’m away I search for grocery stores close by. I also ask for a room with a fridge and ask if there is a microwave I can use. Sometimes no microwave so I would fill the sink with hot water and let my food in the container seat there.
