Bowie State Indoor Track and Field Heads To Liberty Open
· BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State men and women's indoor track and field teams will compete at the Liberty Open on Feb. 4 at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex in Lynchburg, Va. This will be the Bulldogs regular season finale before competing in the Central Intercollegiate Athletics Association (CIAA) Championships.

The field events begin at 8 a.m. and the running events will start at 10 a.m. A schedule of events can be found here.On the men's side, the Bulldogs will compete in 12 events while on the women's side; BSU is expected to participate in 11 events.
Last weekend, the BSU men's squad was highlighted by top-2 performances from Joshua Carter (Bowie, MD) and Movado Gray (Lanham, MD) in the pole vault and shot put at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Catholic University. Carter tabbed second in the pole vault (3.95m) and Gray placed second after throwing a mark of 13.57m in the shot put. The women's squad had Agi Mboob (Germantown, MD) finish second overall in the 60m race with a finishing time of 7.99 – a career first while Destiny Ehirim (Lanham, MD) placed second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.71.
What's Next
The Bulldogs will gear up to compete in the CIAA championship Feb. 12-13 in Winston-Salem, N.C. at the JDL Fast Track.
