We
all will face hardship at some point. Yesterday, we looked at some
possible sources of adversity. Now, let’s look at how our Father sees
the trials He allows in a believer’s life.
God’s purpose isn’t to
destroy us; rather, it’s to stimulate our spiritual growth. In His
great wisdom, He knows how to take an awful situation and use it to
transform us into the image of Christ and equip us to carry out His
will.
Every adversity that comes into our life is sifted through
the Father’s permissive will. That doesn’t mean the difficulty itself is
His perfect will, but He’s allowed the trial to touch us so that He can
use it to accomplish His wonderful purposes for our life.
Since
our human eyes can’t always see what the Lord is doing, we won’t always
understand everything we face. God’s plans involve far more than each
individual life; they include all of creation and reach from the
beginning of time to eternity. Though we’ll never grasp the infinite
mind of God, we can know His faithfulness and love.
When you
can’t understand God’s ways, choose to focus on His perfect knowledge,
wisdom, and power. Remember, He sees the entire picture and loves you
more than you can imagine. This is a time to walk by faith, as perfect
understanding comes only in heaven.
Today on the Matt
Walsh Show, yet another race hoax has been exposed this week, showing
again that we live in a culture fueled by lies. The media, the
government, all of our institutions are in on it. Democrats move to
censor RFK Jr during a hearing on censorship. Rolling Stone attacks me
and other conservatives who've pointed out that those concerns about
violence in music should be less focused on Jason Aldean and a lot more
focused on every rap artist. And more Americans than ever are going to
therapy. But is there any reason to believe that all of this therapy is
actually helping the mental health crisis we hear so much about?
When
we encounter difficulties, we might wonder why God allows those painful
situations. How do we reconcile our suffering with His love for us and
His power to prevent or stop it? In order to understand what’s going on,
we need to consider the possible sources of adversity.
A Fallen World: When
sin entered the world, suffering came with it. So we might wonder why
God didn’t simply make us like puppets that were unable to choose sin.
But if we lacked free will, we’d be unable to choose to love Him. And
love, by its very nature, must be voluntary.
Our Own Doing: Sometimes we face consequences from our own foolish or sinful choices.
Satanic Attack: Satan’s goal is to destroy believers’ lives and testimonies, thereby making us weak and useless for God’s purposes.
For
us to accept that God allows adversity, we must first see it from His
perspective. Is your focus on the pain of your experience or on the Lord
and His faithfulness? As Christians, we’re assured that no adversity
comes our way unless He can use it to achieve His good purposes.
