Command Enhancement Program with Ron Wolforth

You’ll throw more strikes, with more confidence, in only 21 days. Here’s why command is important. A normal strike can be a fastball up in the zone that the hitter barely misses; you got lucky. But a good strike can be a ball tailing inside that jams him; he had no chance. See the difference? When you’ve got command, you throw good strikes. Discover how to execute your pitches when you want, every time. Because when you can locate your pitches, all kinds of good things happen. You can hit your spots … go deeper into games … and get more wins. The drills and techniques in this online video course and manual make it happen for you. Having this program like having Coach Wolforth sitting next to you on the bench between innings, giving more confidence and better execution. It’s a “must have” for your video success library.
Ron R. Wolforth is the founder and CEO of Pitching Central and Ron Wolforth’s Texas Baseball Ranch in Montgomery, Texas. Coach Wolforth has written 5 books on pitching, the latest being his national best-seller The New Athletic Pitcher™. Since 2003, 64 of Coach Wolforth’s clients have been drafted, including the 2011 Golden Spikes Award winner and #3 overall pick, Trevor Bauer of the Arizona Diamondbacks. In that same time period, 114 of Coach Wolforth’s pitchers have broken the 90mph barrier. He is considered the world’s leading expert on the objective measurement of pitcher’s performance and movement patterns. No one in the world today has developed more 90 mph arms in a single location since 2003. Coach Wolforth has consulted for 3 MLB organizations and dozens of NCAA programs. He is a regular featured author in Collegiate Baseball and has been a featured speaker at the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) National Convention five times since 1999 as well as a presenter at the American Sports Medicine Institute’s Injuries in Baseball Annual Conference. Coach Wolforth has also been utilized by Corporate Organizations such as AXA Equitable Life as a motivational coach for their branch managers, mentoring them on how to improve performance and contributions from their team members. His 20 year passion for uncovering possible constraints and limitations to baseball performance as well as identifying the keys to accelerated growth and development stems from the fact that he was very dissatisfied with the level of his own performance as a college player and vowed to help other athletes avoid his mistakes and instead maximize their God-given potential. Hundreds of elite athletes from all over the world come to Montgomery, TX to work with Coach Wolforth. Some of his clients include Trevor Bauer, Scott Kazmir, Raul Ibanez and CJ Wilson. While Coach Wolforth’s playing career offered few superlatives, his academic career was quite a different matter. He was named both the Physical Education and the Secondary Education student of the year at Sam Houston State University in 1983. Coach Wolforth is considered a master teacher by many in the baseball community and he has been referred to as ‘America’s Pitching Coach’ because of his practical, self-effacing and innovative approach to common performance issues.

CoachTube Offers Athletes Unique Access to World-Class Coaches

On Demand Courses Provide Opportunities for Athletes to Improve their Game
AUSTIN, Texas  — CoachTube.com, the first and only two-sided marketplace for aspiring athletes and parent coaches, announced its official launch today with over 200 courses already available. CoachTube.com founder Wade Floyd, along with his team of industry experts, created this sports-focused video course platform with both athletes and coaches in mind. The rapidly growing site enables athletes to learn skills and techniques on-demand from some of the world’s leading coaches in their respected sports.
“I created CoachTube.com for the kid in me that wished I could have learned from the best growing up. The expensive sports camps were not in my parent’s budget, so it just made sense to create an affordable option for aspiring athletes of all ages. After talking to hundreds of coaches, from pros to parent volunteers, I realized the impact CoachTube could have in today’s online-learning atmosphere, especially because there isn’t an online marketplace for coaching and learning sports skills like there is in academic and technology learning,” Floyd, said. “Growing up, I often wondered why there wasn’t a place online where the best coaches from each sport could showcase their talents. What I’ve learned in the process of building this site, is that my curiosity was shared by other coaches who not only wanted to share their knowledge of the game, but also to help other athletes reach their goals.”
CoachTube.com empowers athletes by giving them unique access to talented coaches who can help them improve their specific skill set. Parents can make world-class training available to their children at an affordable price, choosing from hundreds of experienced coaches, each committed to helping athletes reach their full potential. The platform simultaneously empowers coaches to take their brand to the next level and impact a vastly larger audience. Coaches can set course prices, with demand driving the optimal price point, choose to donate all proceeds to their foundation or simply make their videos available for free. CoachTube.com covers the technical operations, distribution, and even marketing, allowing coaches to simply do what they do best—coach.
“I have spent the past 30 years coaching tennis and influencing the best players in the world, from Venus and Serena Williams to former top-ranked Brazilian, Gustavo Kerten,” comments Oscar Wegner, famed tennis coach and founder of The Modern Tennis Methodology. “Now, CoachTube.com is helping me deliver my revolutionary tennis techniques to a whole new generation of future pros.”
CoachTube.com enables coaches to disseminate useful content, without having to worry about technology, distribution costs or marketing, all while providing the opportunity to supplement their income or to donate funds to their favorite charity. CoachTube.com makes it easy to create and share premium content with audiences anywhere in the world at an affordable rate, allowing anyone to access CoachTube from their desktop, laptop or even a smart phone.
Currently, CoachTube.com features the following sports: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cricket, fitness, football, golf, hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, running, skiing, snowboarding, soccer, softball, sports performance, swimming, tennis, track & field, volleyball, wrestling and yoga. Courses in additional sports will be added as the site’s network of expert coaches continues to grow.

Pro athletes benefit from chiropractic care
By: Dr Ross Carter

Many American Pro athletes look at getting a Chiropractor's help in coping with the rigorous physical demands of their various sports. Professional golfers have access to Chiropractors during their tournaments, and many Pro football players are known to take Chiropractic assistance after strenuous games. Baseball teams have also started giving their players the much needed Chiropractic help.

In the previous year, baseball teams like the Boston Red Sox (World champions) and the Philadelphia Phillies have employed the services of Chiropractors to help their players perform well and remain in top notch condition. Clubs in the major league have to play 162 games as part of the schedule, and this includes a fair amount of travelling as well. Typical baseball seasons begin in late Feb and go on till early Oct. Teams looking at Playoffs or the World series have to push till late Oct.

The players of the Boston Red Sox can be seen with their Chiropractor, Michael Weinman, D.C, for 3 to 4 hours before they start their home games. He says that players can stay away from bothersome injuries and also perform at optimum levels when their muscles, joints, as well as nerves, are all in top condition. He also says that adjustments made by a Chiropractor can also better one's overall physical health and thereby result in excellent performances.

Injuries that are common in baseball players include mid & low back injury, neck injury, rotator-cuff injury, and also hamstring injury. Hamstring related problems normally start because of players having to suddenly leap into action fast from a standing position while making their plays.

Most of Dr. Weinman's work involves helping thwart inflammations, breaking up adhesions, and adjusting various joints to enhance mobility. He, along with his trainers, physical therapists, and massage therapists look to have had a good effect on the team, as they won against the Colorado Rookies in four straight games, to win the World Series.

The Phillies are now to have a Chiropractors network in all the cities where they are scheduled to play their games (home and away). The first player in the team who requested the presence of Chiropractors was the pitcher, Cole Hammels. He is of the opinion that he missed out on games in 2007 (being on the disabled list) because he did not get Chiropractic assistance for his elbow strain.

Hamels also said that he was very happy with the knowledge that the team was making efforts to ensure that they get Chiropractic assistance while they are paying in different cities. Other players in the team are also likely to take the assistance of the Chiropractors in coping with the adjusting extremities. He added that owing to consulting a Chiropractor he has surely benefited, and that it was great that the team was going out of their way to provide the players with this assistance. According to Hamels, the team could very well get to be a 20 game winner in this season, thanks to the Chiropractic services that are now available to all the players of the team.

Dr. Carter specializes in natural pain relief and he helps Gwinnett County citizens with back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headache, fibromyalgia, carpel tunnel, nutrition, weight loss, and more here in Lawrenceville, GA.

Baseball Tips On Hitting: How To Hit Properly In Contact Situations Wins Games!

By: Larry Cicchiello

One of the better baseball tips on hitting that a baseball coach can give to his players is to explain that there are situations where just making contact can win the ball game. Many players, especially younger players, do not get the message. Read what an outstanding high school varsity baseball coach demands from everyone of his players. There are no exceptions to his two rules.

With two strikes or any situation where it's important to just put the ball in play, there is absolutely nothing wrong with giving in a little and just trying to make contact. There is nothing wrong with conceding a little to the pitcher and facing the fact that if the count is 1-2, you have a little bit of a problem on your hands. Don't be afraid to choke up an inch or so and just try to make contact with the baseball and put it in play. Don't try to "do too much."

A friend of mine is an outstanding high school varsity baseball coach. He has two things he makes his players promise to do every time they come up to the plate. One is that they completely relax and visualize before every pitch they will hit the baseball hard. The other thing is that everybody chokes up two inches on the bat when they have two strikes on them. No matter where they are hitting in the batting order, if they don't choke up with two strikes they are removed from the game immediately! The coach understands very well that with two strikes on his hitter, it is a contact situation. Note that I didn't say good or very good coach, I said "outstanding high school varsity baseball coach." When he talks, I listen!

Baseball hitters should not only focus on contact when they have two strikes on them. There are many other situations where the sole purpose of the at bat should be putting the ball in play! It is extremely frustrating if your team has the tying run on third base late in a game with one out and you cannot get that runner home. Especially if your team may have a hitter at bat who is not an exceptionally strong hitter. He doesn't concede anything and takes this big, long, looping swing and he strikes out. Your base runner ends up stranded at third base.

Why on earth some baseball hitters don't realize that a weak ten hopper to the second baseman is all that's called for in certain situations. This is a total mystery to me. The base hit or "bomb" is not always what's required. You can be somewhat of a hero just by hitting a weak ground ball and getting an important runner home from third base. If players don't realize this, maybe they should be reminded of it more often by their coaches. It always comes down to what that particular situation calls for.

As a hitter, the name of the game is being productive at the plate. Forget all this macho nonsense! Baseball tips on hitting include clever use of the mind and not just the body. There is nothing logical about swinging for the fences and end up striking out when your team desperately needed only a ground ball! If a weak ten hopper to the second baseman gives your team a better chance to win, then making contact with the baseball should be your only approach during that at bat. The name of this game is very simply to do whatever it is that gives your team the best chance to win the game. Doesn't that say it all?
