God’s Response to Sin
God can respond to sin in different ways, but His character never changes.
Yesterday we discussed the origin of sin, and today let’s consider how our sovereign God responds to it. His response reveals a great deal about His character.
At times the Lord allows sin to run its full course. After the exodus, He promised Israel blessings if they were obedient; when they persistently disobeyed, He “gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart” (Psalms 81:8-12). God was in control but chose to let them experience the consequences of rebellion.
