Seven Easy Christmas Party Games (Part 1)

  • Author Andrew Low

Christmas is a wonderful time of year, when people all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus. They also spend some quality time with family, friends and other special people. And did I mention the Christmas parties?

Christmas parties are not always effortless to plan, but these seven easy Christmas party games will make it much simpler.

All I Want For Christmas is a good game to introduce everyone at a party. One player starts by saying, "My name is ... All I Want for Christmas is..." before naming an item. The next player then says, "All (name of first player) wants for Christmas is ... My name is ... and all I want for Christmas is ..." Successive player build up the phrase until one player cannot repeat the phrase and is out. The phrase is then started again. As an alternative, players may only be required to repeat the previous two player's answers.

Christmas Stocking Story is a fun, active game for younger children. Children are seated in a circle and given the name of an item that could be found in a traditional Christmas stocking, such as a doll, car, train, colouring book, etc. An adult story-teller begins to tell a story and each time their name or item is mentioned, the child jumps up, turns around and sits back down. The story-teller should try to ensure that each child's name and/or item is mentioned at least once. If the word "stocking" is mentioned in the story, all the children stand up, turn around and sit back down. There are no winners or losers in this game.

All Tied Up is an active team game for as many participants as want to play. They form two teams in circles, with one team given a ball of green twine and other a ball of red twine. On a given signal, the first player in each team winds the twine once around their waist and passes the ball to the next player who does the same, and so on. The first team to finish unwinding their ball of twine and is all tied up wins the game.

Christmas Treasure is an active yet quiet game for two players, both blindfolded. One is given a small 'Christmas treasure' such as a piece of candy. Both players start at opposite corners of a large table and must keep one hand in contact with the table at all times. The other player (the hunter) has thirty seconds to sneak up on the first player and touch him on top of his head, while the first player tries to evade the hunter. If the hunter succeeds, they get to keep the treasure; otherwise the first player keeps it. Multiple rounds ensure that everyone can have a chance to win a treasure.

In the final part of Seven Easy Christmas Party Games, we will examine at two quieter party games and a fun gift exchange game.

Our website provides details on these and various other easy Christmas party games.

WALKING IN SAFETY And Kingdom Authority

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt vulnerable or at risk of something bad happening? Most of us can remember the intensely uncomfortable feeling we got when we sensed the possibility of danger. We all have a basic need to feel safe; this need must be addressed before we can move forward and accomplish what we set out to do. While the world turns to its own resources for protection, believers can depend on a supernatural source of security that never fails.

This teaching is from the series entitled Kingdom Citizenship Authority available on our Munroe Global Media app .

God’s will is for His children to walk in perfect peace and security. When we trust Him in this area, absolutely nothing can harm us. As born-again Christians, we can expect to be protected on every level when evil is all around us. “But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence” (1 Kings 5:4, NKJV). In this dangerous world, the safest place to be is in the will of God.

Believers are set apart from everyone else. That means that when others live in fear of what they see around them, we walk through life in confidence and peace. “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). We know by faith that we’re safe, regardless of the situation. This gives us a boldness others don’t have.

The boldness we have in the face of danger isn’t the absence of common sense; it’s the result of a decision to lean on our heavenly Father for our safety. When it seems like we’re trapped, we know that God will deliver us. “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Hebrews 13:6). God is the one who pulls us out of the pit and moves us into a safe place.

Our security is grounded in our knowledge of God’s true nature. We’re not afraid when trouble shows up, because we know who our protector is. The God who created the earth and the entire universe is the same God who remains at our side when disaster strikes. He’ll never leave us to face a bad situation on our own. “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3, NKJV).

Others may be fearful because they’re keenly aware of their weaknesses, and unsure of whether they can hold up under adversity. We don’t have to fear because we know God has no weaknesses, and we can rely on Him to keep us safe. Knowing His nature enables us to stand out from the crowd and do extraordinary feats that others wouldn’t dare try. “…But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32).

Those who don’t know God can always have a nagging worry that they might walk into a bad situation without knowing it. We don’t have to concern ourselves with that, because our relationship with Jesus puts the responsibility for watching over us squarely on Him. We can be confident that He’ll preserve and protect us, no matter what we do or where we go. “The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:7, 8, NIV). Walking in this knowledge gives us true peace of mind.

Increase metabolic rate, lose weight And The Flab Is Gone

Author: William Onedge

That is right, increase metabolic rate, lose weight and the flab is gone. There are no forms of dieting that could stop you to grow bigger.

Most are only fads and instead of giving you the results you once hoped for and worked for, they leave you frustrated and well, sometimes hopeless. Well, worry no more. There are these 7 effective moves towards a healthier, sexier you! And the flab is gone.

1.) Sleep well, live well. According to studies, people who just have 4 hours of sleep at night have slower metabolism than those who have 8-hour sleep. Moreover, the former resort to overeating since they feel like eating would cover up the lack of sleep. You must have enough sleep for you to feel revived after every "wake up".

2.) Sweat out a little in the evenings. There is recent research that tells us that our metabolism tends to slow down during late in the afternoon or at the end of the day. So, in order for you to burn more calories, it is wise to do some evening walks and other exercise forms that would allow you to sweat it out and burn calories.

3.) Do not be a slow drag- move more. As you move more, you burn more calories. Instead of taking a ride to a near place, walking is a better choice. You must gradually make minor lifestyle changes. These are just so minor so you will not have a hard time. It is as the fact that these may be easy for you will not need hard work. This could be done in a way like going through the stairs instead of taking the elevator, do gardening instead of watching TV too much all day long.

4.) Eat more proteins. Diet studies show that protein intake stabilizes the amount of insulin in the bloodstream. It is highly-beneficial for you.

5.) Skipping meals is skipping life. A drastic change for your body is not good. Never dwell on the idea that missing a meal would make your waistline look well-carved. Always bear in mind comes from deep within. You will never conceal the fact someday that you are living an unhealthy life. Whenever you do a sudden stop in eating, your body would react to it in such a way that it will slow down its metabolic rate.

6.) Sweat out a bit for some exercise. Exercise does not directly results to a better metabolism because not all of its forms are really applicable but it leads to a better sleeping habit. And, sleeping increases metabolism.

7.) Most of all grow lean muscles. Having more amount of these lean muscles would mean a more expedite metabolism. A few push-ups and squats daily are of big help. Just bear in mind that it is not all about working out but considering the metabolism of your body and other's legs.

Seven moves toward your goal. Never let go of the hope that you will have a healthier, sexier and better life!

Confidence always comes with a better body, and that is something that can make your life worth living. You need good weight loss system that will help you to get the body you want, at http://www.flabisgone.com there is  More Information that can get you on track for the great body you want and deserve. You will be able to wear what you want and feel much better about the way that you look.  Most of all, you will be healthier and happier when the flab is gone!

Preventing Burnout in the Healthcare Profession and Not Everyone Catches C*19, Here’s Why: New Health Care Worker Study

Preventing Burnout in the Healthcare Profession

Author Larisa Lein

Burnout is a point of exhaustion felt by many professionals during their careers, especially those in the healthcare industry. By spotting this early on, you can help avoid some of the negative effects of burnout and the toll it takes on your mental and physical health. However, many do not know the signs to look for, as they were not taught just how common burnout is in one’s career.

A fascinating series of study highlights the importance of T cells and T cell immunity. Which, needless to say, are dependent upon health nutrition and exercise. Learn more at https://amzn.to/3DnqO4N

What Are the Signs of Burnout?

In order to be able to prevent burnout in the healthcare profession, it is first important to be able to recognize it for what it is. Burnout can be especially difficult to spot for those who already suffer from general anxiety or stress, which is why it is crucial to pay attention to your wellbeing. When one is growing close to burnout, they will often begin suffering from chronic fatigue that lasts for weeks, a pessimistic attitude, irritability, a decreased work performance and other factors. In the healthcare profession specifically, some signs of burnout may also look like resenting your clients, being late to appointments and more.

How Can Healthcare Professionals Prevent Burnout?

Given the negative effects that burnout can have on one’s well being and their regular job duties, it is imperative that healthcare professionals do all they can to prevent burnout. One proven way to do this is by surrounding yourself with a support system. Many healthcare professionals end up suffering from anxiety and other negative emotions because they are not prepared to deal with some of the situations they see on a daily basis. This is why it is important to make connections with individuals who understand your emotions and can encourage you. Some even prevent burnout by going to regular therapy, which can teach you how to deal with your stressors and prevent this negative mindset.

Another way to prevent burnout is by taking care of your physical health. It might seem impossible to do when you’re working a busy schedule and picking up shifts, but even taking 20 to 30 minutes to take a fast-paced walk during the day can boost your emotional state and give your body the activity it needs. Preparing healthy meals for yourself and trying to develop somewhat of a healthy sleep routine will also help you prevent some of burnout’s worst effects.

In addition to these efforts, it is also important that you learn when to say no. With staffing shortages in an essential industry like healthcare, it can seem extremely selfish and even impossible to say no picking up additional shifts. But if you are constantly overworked, you’ll find it difficult to perform at your best during the shifts you were originally scheduled for. It is honorable to want to help others out, but make sure you also know when to decline shifts when you feel the signs of burnout creeping in.

Larisa Lein is a professional ultrasound specialist and lab and didactic lecturer with over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry. She holds certifications in RDCS, RDMS, RVT, BLS, CPR, and AED, as well as Epic Synapse, PenRad, and RIS/PACS. Larisa is currently employed with the Durnick Academy of Medical Arts.

Tactical PE Featuring: 10 Christmas Gifts For Your Favorite Gun Owner – 2021

Concealed Carry PODCAST-S4E12: JUSTIFIED SAVES - Be Careful What You Say to the Media

Today, Riley Bowman and Matthew Maruster share the latest JUSTIFIED SAVES (Defensive Gun Uses) including the successes and the failures. Not only is the justified use of deadly force important to understand and execute, but we also need to be prepared for the aftermath, and that includes talking to the media. Tune in! Learn to be a safer and more effective gun owner here......
From Concealed Carry....

Between inflation and unprecedented supply chain issues, shopping for Christmas gifts will be especially challenging this year. It's nearly Thanksgiving, so if you're like me, you're getting ready to knock out all your Christmas shopping so you can make sure you can get all the gifts on your loved ones' lists.

christmas gear list

Last year I posted a similar list, and many of those items are still fantastic gifts that made their way onto this list. But I thought I would change it up and recommend some gear your friend or loved one will appreciate.

Concealed Carry Belt-

1) Foundation Belt:

If your loved one is carrying their every day (EDC) gun in a holster clipped onto a regular belt, do them a favor. Get them a belt explicitly designed to support the weight of a handgun. I've gone through a lot of different belts from various manufacturers over the years. There are a few that I go to every time, though.

If I narrow it down to the belt I use the most, the Foundation Belt from the EDC Belt Company would be it. The belt is extremely comfortable, sufficiently stiff, and supportive, and is simple enough that I can wear it with various clothing styles.

Here is my review of my foundation belt.

foundation belt

Shot Timer-

2) RangeTech Bluetooth Shot Timer:

Shot timers are not just for competition shooting. Establishing performance baselines through objective metrics is important for progress. The RangeTech shot timer is the only timer that connects to a smartphone for its operation and display. It also stores all your shot data for review.

The Range Tech Shot Timer's blue tooth capability is a refreshing innovation to the basic shot timer.

Dummy Training Cartridge-

3) ReadyUpGear Dummy Rounds:

A dummy round is an inert cartridge with the exact specifications of a genuine round. It just has no power charge or live primer. Dummy rounds are incredibly useful in a wide range of applications. For example, there are live fire and dry fire drills that involve the use of dummy rounds. Some folks even use dummy rounds any time they perform any dry fire practice.

I prefer these dummy rounds from ReadyUpGear over many of the other styles sold. These use a soft, plastic bullet and primer that won't mar or produce aluminum shavings like different styles. Also, the projectile is brightly colored to ensure it is not confused with a live round, and you can find it when it falls to the ground out on the range.

Laser Cartridge-

4) Laser Dot Trainer:

Dryfire practice can get mundane, but not when you use something like a laser cartridge. This one, called the Laser Dot Trainer, is a caliber-specific device that looks similar to a cartridge. However, it has no propellant; instead, striking the “primer” of the cartridge produces a laser pulse from the barrel.

Paring the Laser Dot Trainer with shot recording software like LASR X unlocks a new dimension of dry fire practice. You can follow along with our monthly Shooter Ready Challenge, where we use LASR software to increase proficiency.

Electronic Hearing Protection Ear Pads-

5) SoftSeal Ear Pads:

I'll assume your loved one is already using electronic hearing protection; if not, turn them on to something like these roger 22's. Electronic hearing protection allows hearing normal conversation, still protecting from sounds at dangerously high dB levels.

But one drawback to muff style hearing protection is that extended use can cause discomfort around the ears. The solution is these gel-filled ear pads that replace the standard ear cups. The SoftSeals change the feel of muff style hearing protection so noticeably that you won't ever go back to a standard ear cup.

SoftSeals is one of those simple products that have a significant impact on enjoyment at the range.ear pro upgrade

Knowledge-

6) The Law of Self-Defense:

I don't think it's an unfair generalization to say that most concealed carriers don't fully understand self-defense law to the level they should. In fact, we offered a quiz to our audience. Over 17,000 people took the quiz, and the average score was around 55%. That means many people carrying guns are unclear about the laws that could send them to prison or a courthouse for a second fight for their lives.

I haven't found a better book on the topic than the Law of Self Defense written by Attorney Andrew Branca. Atty Branca is an industry-recognized expert and authority in the realm of self-defense law. I have read this book at least two times, and I recommend each concealed carrier read it and understand the guiding principles presented in its pages.

Handheld Light-

7) Modular Compact Flashlight:

The benefits of carrying a handheld flashlight go beyond tactical purposes. For a few years, I've had a Surefire Stilletto in my pocket wherever I went. It is a great light. However, it is a bit pricey I know. I find the MCF Spark light from ReadyUpGear is an excellent option because it is customizable and versatile. The MCF (Modular Compact Flashlight) Spark comes with a couple of different tail cap styles and housing lengths, so you can adapt it to suit your preference.

Handgun Vault-

8) StopBox Vault:

You may work in or routinely visit an environment where you can't carry your handgun with you. In these situations, leaving your firearm in the glovebox is not the best option. Instead, a handgun vault tethered under the seat or mounted somewhere in the vehicle is a much better strategy. We should also secure our firearms inside the house in a manner that allows quick access.

A vault such as this one from StopBox doesn't require electricity or any complicated numeric code. Its lock is intuitive and straightforward to operate under stress. If you need something more substantive, take a look at these options that may fit your specific needs.

Rechargeable Batteries-

9) ReadyUpGear Rechargeable battery lineup:

There are apparent benefits to rechargeable batteries. Over time, you save money by simply recharging the ones you have instead of buying new ones. Additionally, these rechargeable batteries can boost the light output of flashlights capable of running with increased amperage.

These rechargeable 18650 batteries typically replace 2 CR123 batteries found in many handheld flashlights. But if your flashlight uses CR123 batteries, you're covered with these 16340 rechargeable batteries.

16340 comparison

Medical Gear and Training-

10) Trauma Kit:

You will find this item on my list of recommended products from last year as well. The reason is that I think it's that important.

Trauma gear may seem overkill to some of you, but hear me out on this. You need your own trauma kit, not just a first-aid kit with bandaids. Instead, you need a kit with the appropriate equipment to treat the type of injuries you could sustain from shooting guns.

First, your gun range may or may not even have a trauma kit. If it does, it may not even be accessible when you need it, then if it is, how do you know if it has the necessary gear or that the equipment is even serviceable?

Do you know how to use the gear? Maybe there is someone around who does, maybe not.

In other words, you may bleed out because you don't have the necessary gear or training to treat an injury.

Get the point? Having your own trauma gear must be something you take to the range, and I would recommend having a dedicated kit in your home and vehicle as well.

Mountain Man Medical has kits of all types to fit the purpose, all at a great price.

Hopefully, you will never need to use it on yourself or anyone else, but it literally could determine if someone lives or dies. While we're talking about using the kit, knowing how to use the gear is just as important as having it. Providing immediate care to a trauma patient doesn't require a medical degree, but it isn't something you will learn in your CPR class. So get some training on how to use the essential tools that could save a life.

Mountain Man Medical has many different kits depending on your specific need.

Even if there wasn't an ammo shortage, which there is, dryfire (practicing with an unloaded firearm) is an incredible way to become more proficient. There are many different items you can get to make dry fire practice more enjoyable and more beneficial. Here are some options:

Christmas List for Gun Owners:

Let us know about some of the items you find valuable as a gun owner. For full disclosure, many of the products mentioned in the article are items that our company sells. However, this isn't the reason I included them.

The items included are products I personally use and have no hesitation recommending to anyone.
