 | Pull-ups | Hang on a bar with your hands more than shoulder width apart. Pull until the bar reaches chin level and then pause. Repeat.

 | Chest Supported Row | This exercise will take the lower back out of the movement, and you can't really cheat. By focusing only on your back you'll develop more contractile strength and a superior mind-muscle connection.

 | Hammer Strength Row | After loading the plates on each side, adjust the seat to a height at which your elbows will come straight back as you pull. Sit with your chest firmly against the front pad and reach forward to grasp both handles with a neutral or overhand grip. Expand your chest and sit upright, lifting the weight from the supports. From here, bend your elbows to pull the handles straight back, squeezing your lats and back at full flexion before slowly re-extending your arms. Don’t let the weight touch down between reps.

 6 Easy Ways You Can Start Eating a Mediterranean Diet Today

The Mediterranean diet consistently ranks as one of the healthiest diets to follow.



It represents the dietary pattern consumed among populations bordering the Mediterranean Sea in the 1960s. These people had some of the longest life expectancies in the world.

Research shows that a Mediterranean diet can help improve various health markers. Studies have shown eating a Mediterranean diet can help reduce LDL cholesterol levels, prevent the development of type of 2 diabetes, lower blood pressure and help fight obesity.

The diet is also linked with reduced inflammation levels, which is a major risk factor for heart attack, stroke and Alzheimer’s disease.

Here are some of the simplest ways you can start eating more Mediterranean today.

1. Try Cooking with Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The Mediterranean diet has a high ratio of healthy unsaturated fats to saturated fats. This is partly due to its high usage of olive oil.

Extra virgin olive oil in particular has been associated with anti-inflammatory properties. This may be because it contains oleocanthal, which acts as natural anti-inflammatory compound similar in structure to ibuprofen.

It is easy to see why high consumption has been associated with a significantly reduced risk of heart attacks and stroke.

Try replacing butter with olive oil for some recipes you cook and drizzle some oil on your favorite salads.

2. Snack on Nuts

Nuts like almonds, walnuts and cashews provide protein, fiber and healthy fats.

In one study, eating a Mediterranean diet with nuts was associated with a reduced risk of combined heart disease, stroke and death from cardiovascular disease by 28%.

Studies show eating nuts in moderation can also help you lose weight. This is despite having a high energy density.

Nuts are a perfect snack when you're busy and they're very easy to mix into many other recipes too. Just make sure you avoid salted nuts, as they can raise blood pressure.

3. Replace Refined Grains with Whole Grains

Whole grains contain high amounts of nutrients, minerals and fiber. Although refining the grains prolongs their shelf life, this comes at the removal of those.

This is because the refining process removes the bran and germ, leaving just the endosperm. The endosperm is composed primarily of carbohydrates with none of the nutrients and fiber contained in the other parts of the grain.

Eating refined grains has been linked to an increased risk of obesity and type 2 diabetes.

On the other hand, one study found women who ate two or more servings a day of whole grains were 30% less likely to have died from conditions connected to inflammation compared to those who rarely did.

Making the switch to whole grain alternatives is one of the easiest changes you can make. Simply swap out for your white carbohydrates like rice, bread and pasta for their whole grain alternatives.

4. Season with Herbs and Spices Instead of Salt

Seasoning often means just adding salt and pepper. Too much salt in the diet can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

However, different herbs and spices can bring out extra depths of flavor and complexity to your meals. Many also carry notable health benefits.

For example, sage has been linked to improvements in brain function, cinnamon to lower blood sugar levels and garlic to reduced LDL cholesterol.

Try experimenting with several spices in the same dish and see what works for you. There’s no wrong way to spice your meals up.

5. Replace Red Meat with Fatty Fish

Fish is a great source of lean protein. They are also high in many nutrients most people don’t get enough of. These include vitamin A, D and omega-3 fatty acids.

Omega-3 fatty acids have been linked with a reduced the risk of heart disease, some cancers and dementia. They are also thought to be helpful for brain development.

In one study of more than 40,000 health professionals, those who regularly ate 2-4 servings of fish per week were associated with a 15% lower risk of cardiovascular disease.

Unprocessed red meat can be highly nutritious but is often high in saturated fats. Studies show red meat consumption is often associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer mortality.

Many fish dishes are delicious and easy to prepare, making it relatively easy to incorporate into your diet as an evening meal.

6. Savor Your Bites

The Mediterranean diet is not just about the food you eat but also the way you eat it. Mediterranean communities spent more time over their food compared to today.

Eating quickly has been associated with excess body weight. Data also suggests eating slowly may help maximize feelings of fullness and reduce calorie intake within meals.

Try bonding over food by eating with friends and family. This should slow down your eating and reduce your need to snack afterwards. Really try and enjoy the tastes of your food rather than shoveling it all down.

Real World Police Presented on US Sports Net By Tactical P.E. Featuring: Arrest ME?! Do You Know Who I Am?!

Straight from the officer's narrative:

 "On 6/12/19 at approximately 8:10 PM, Officer J. Ahrends and I were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Highway 62 and Butler Road. The accident was a two vehicle accident involving a 16 YOA male. When I asked the male for insurance, he stated that his mother had it and was on her way. At approximately 8:50 PM, the male's mother arrived on scene driving a small silver passenger car.  (Video below)

 I made contact with the mother, Jenkins, Andrea, and inquired about the insurance. When she began talking I could smell a strong odor of intoxicants. I asked if she drove to the accident, she stated that she did. I asked her how much she had to drink. She stated that she had two glasses of wine. I released all parties from the accident and had Jenkins perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Jenkins performed the test consistent with that of an intoxicated person. When asked to place her hands behind her back, she pulled away and began yelling for her family to record the incident. I advised her that the incident was being recorded on my body worn camera. Jenkins began cursing and yelling, saying that she had only driven there for her son. She was placed in handcuffs (double locked) and in the back of my patrol vehicle.

 On the way to the jail she yelled over and over that she did have three glasses of wine and drove to the scene of the accident, only because of her son. At the jail, I read to her the Arkansas DWI statement of rights. She agreed to take the Intox EC/IR II requested of her. The final result, at 10:29 PM, showed Jenkins to have a blood alcohol concentration of .17. She was read and explained the drivers license receipt form, which she signed and a copy placed in her file. It should be noted that Jenkins cursed and yelled for a majority of the time. Often times she interrupted me during the field sobriety tests and rights form. She told me multiple times that she was a teacher, school bus driver, and justice of the peace and I could have let her go. She was turned over to jail staff to be booked on the above charge.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 8:6



If you were given the choice between life and death, which would you choose? The answer seems obvious. But, in reality, it's not.
You see, choosing death doesn't necessarily mean jumping from the nearest cliff. It's much more subtle than that.
The Bible says death is being carnally minded, being entangled in this present worldly realm. The Bible also tells us what life is. "My son, attend to my words," says Proverbs 4:20-22, "...for they are life!"
To be worldly minded is death. To be Word-minded is life.
In Luke 10, there's a story that illustrates this principle extremely well. It's the story of Mary and Martha. You probably remember it. Mary was sitting at Jesus' feet listening to Him teach while Martha was bustling around in the kitchen cooking dinner for everyone.
Finally Martha couldn't stand it anymore. She came to Jesus and said, "Lord, don't You care that my sister has left me to do all the work myself? Tell her to help me!" Jesus answered, "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:41-42).
Mary had set everything else aside, so she could hear the Word. But Martha had let the seemingly important business of living take priority over the Word. She'd chosen death, not life.
You see how easy it is to slip into that?
"But Brother Copeland," you say, "if I didn't spend all my time taking care of the business of living, my life would fall apart!"
Oh, really? Martha probably thought that too. She probably thought if she didn't cook dinner for all those folks, they'd go hungry. But they wouldn't have. Jesus had miraculously fed multitudes before and He could have done it again in Martha's home. She could have plopped herself down at Jesus' feet, and they could have had a banquet at God's expense!
Don't make the mistake that Martha did. Don't get so entangled in the business of living that you choose death by default. Decide to put the Word first place. Choose Life!
