N.B.A. Power Post Offense – ” The offense that led the San Antonio Spurs to 4 N.B.A. World Championships” Playbook

by Scott Peterman

Description

I have had multiple requests for a playbook that will spice up your post plays and tweak some of your offensive sets. I decided to look into the most consistent N.B.A. Franchise in the last decade. It is the San Antonio Spurs who have won the World Championship in 99, 03, 05, and 07

Coach Gregg Popovich’s “San Antonio Spurs” use an offense that is mostly built on the perimeter, but they exploit the skills of Tim Duncan, an all-around player who can play close or away from the basket at a medium shooting distance. The Offense is built on the offensive penetrations of their guard that lead to 3 point shooting opportunities. It also have a wide array of pick-n-roll plays in their offense.

This N.B.A. Power Post Offense Playbook has:
90 Set Plays
2 Zone Offense
1 Sideline Out of Bounds play
1 Baseline Out of Bounds play

I really do think that this playbook will be able to tweak your set plays up with some interesting looks. You will be able to involve your guards as well as your post players.

The Post-Binge Bible: Getting Over Overeating

In the beginning, there was your lofty expectations of how your life would be once you started being healthier. You'd workout most days. You'd get enough sleep. You'd be calmer and focussed. And, of course, you'd eat a balanced diet. Sure, there'd be the odd treat here and there, but mostly, lots of whole foods. Lots of healthy meal prep.
In this dreamy vision for your #FitLife, you probably didn't see yourself scarfing back Girl Scout cookies with a whipped cream chaser. You probably didn't see yourself, exhausted and zombie-eyed,  ordering a large pizza at 10 p.m. on a Tuesday night and devouring the whole wheel yourself, feeling both incredibly relieved and unbearably guilty. You probably didn't think that your physically healthier self would still be susceptible to extreme acts of indulgence.
Let's just get this out of the way: everyone eats to much at some point. Our trainers do it. Your super fit keto-vegan-wheat-grass-eating coworker does it. Buddhist monks do it. Eating too much happens. The reasons it happens vary. It can happen because you haven't been eating enough and your body craves a good ol' feed up. It can happen because you're tired and your willpower is shot. (There is a strong correlation between willpower and exhaustion.) It can happen because you are emotionally distraught: bad news, a bad break-up bad day at work. Regardless, it happens because you are mentally depleted, physically depleted or both. While the easy advice to give here would be to tell you not let your body/mind get that exhausted  — to practice relentless self-care at all times — that's not the way life works. Best made plans get laid to waste. Shit happens.

We should always do our best to get the sleep, activity and proper nutrition we need to ensure we can operate at peak, but sometimes, the best we can do that day is not the best we ideally want for ourselves. And really, that's okay.
This Post-Binge Bible is here to help you navigate the guilt and shame that often accompanies a food binge. It's here to guide you through negative feelings so that they don't cripple you. In short, it's here to give you a loving kick in the ass and a huge hug.
Keep reading. Here are your post-binge lessons.

The Post-Binge Bible: Getting Over Overeating

  1. One binge will not undo your hard work.
Here's a little equation. It will help put things in perspective.
CONSISTENCY
____________ = RESULTS
TIME
Simple, right? Just like you did not lose a bunch of fat after a single day of clean eating and exercise, you will not gain a bunch of fat after a single binge session. Sure, the scale may go up the next day, but this is most likely the result of bloating  —not actual fat. Here's the deal: sugar is a carb and excessive consumption of any carb can cause fluid retention thanks of a higher insulin level that causes your kidneys to hold water. This phenomenon is also called false fat, and will go away if you return to your healthy eating.
So, if you've just had a heroic binge, for the love of mini-powdered donuts, don't weigh yourself for at least of couple days. What you see on the scale is not an accurate reflection of where you're at. Pound back some water, and pound out your next workout.
  1. You shouldn’t try to compensate.
You're thinking about it, but don't do it. If you've just binged, don't over-exercise and/or undereat the next day. Just get back to eating clean and exercise as usual. There's nothing wrong with pushing a little harder during your sweat 'sesh, maybe upping your weights (if you're ready to and can lift safely) or adding on a killer two minute finishing move like bear tricep push-ups with a weighted vest, but there's absolutely NO needs to double or triple up on your workouts.

Bear Tricep Push-Up  — try it!
The reason for this is two-fold: first, remember, a single binge will not have really set you back. Second, well....keep reading.
  1. NEVER punish yourself.
Punishing yourself for a binge is one of the worst things you can do to yourself, mentally. It reinforces your belief that you've done something wrong...and you haven't. Have you noticed that not once has this article mentioned anything about "getting you back on track?"
There's a reason for that. Binging is NOT off-track. Eating too much, as already stated, is human. The occasional binge falls completely within the realm of normal behaviour, and will not negatively impact your hardwon gains.

You can't overeat on the regular and expect it not to show after a while. Sure, you can go on vacation and load up on gelato and fresh baguettes for a few days with no weighty repercussions, but do that everyday for a couple weeks and you shouldn't be surprised if you have to shoehorn yourself into your skinny jeans.
Remember:
CONSISTENCY
____________ = RESULTS
TIME
So what if you binged? Learn from it: did you not eat enough during the day? If so, then try to make sure you meal plan and have healthy food with you to munch on so you don't get to the point of wanting to eat everything and anything.
If you chronically binge eat, it is worth your while to consider intermittent fasting (IF). You can learn more about IF here, but the point is this: IF requires that you eat everything you need to eat in a day within 8 hours. Then, you fast for 16  — nothing can pass your lips but water, black tea or black coffee.
http://www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=cl&merchant_id=a7602a87-d993-4dc4-bb0f-d925dfcd1014&website_id=c0e53043-b30e-4b99-bccf-ca157b379287&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bodyrock.tv%2Fcollections%2Fbodyrock-workout-series The no-nonsense structure of IF often appeals to people who thrive on clear limits. It also allows you to eat a lot for 8 hours of the day, and while most of it should be clean, whole, healthy food, because your body is burning more fat through an extended fasting period, this food lifestyle is way less restrictive than others. Unlike keto or paleo or Atkins, with IF there is absolutely nothing off the table.
What's more, IF has been shown to balance hormones and help you sleep better: two causes of binge eating.
If you want to try IF and get the best start possible, grab our new ShredFast Intermittent Fasting Guide. It has all the intel you need to get started, including our two-phase approach for optimal results  — as well as 40+ meals, snacks and desserts to keep you happily and healthily enjoying the process.
Even when you IF, however, and even if you do everything right to the best of your ability everyday, overeating will still happen. But if you use these strategies and remember not to beat yourself up over it, it will happen less. Binges will be a blip on the radar of your healthy, beautiful life.

Cancer Defeated USA - iHealthTube Featuring: Understand this Recently Discovered System in the Body! And Harry J. Anslinger and the Campaign against Marijuana

Dr. Felice Gersh discusses the endocannabinoid system and how it functions in the body. The system was discovered not too long ago and it's importance is just starting to come into focus. It can be confusing, but learn how this system is tied to reproduction as well as other systems!

Harry J. Anslinger and the Campaign against Marijuana
By: Sam Qam

Cannabis is the most commonly used illegal drug in the world. Despite its current legal status it only became criminalized within the last century, before which it was both a regularly used recreational drug as well as a medically prescribed drug for dealing with a wide range of ailments from glaucoma to cancer and multiple sclerosis. So if merely a century ago Marijuana was a widely used and medically acknowledged drug how did it manage to reach the criminalized status that it now holds?

In America the criminalisation of cannabis began as a relatively slow and understated process with certain states outlawing its use starting in the District of Columbia in 1906. A couple of states followed this example and outlawed the use of cannabis throughout the 1910s and 20s but it wasn't until the 1930's that the criminalization of cannabis became a major issue.

The reason that cannabis became such a huge issue was the launch of a massive smear campaign against marijuana lead by Harry J Anslinger from 1930 to 1937. Harry J Anslinger started his career as the Assistant Prohibition Commissioner in the Bureau of Prohibition before he was promoted to the position of Commissioner in the newly created Federal Bureau of Narcotics in 1930. Anslinger held this position for 32 years, but it is his campaign against marijuana, which dominated the first 7 years of his tenure, that he is most widely remembered for.

Anslinger made heavy use of the mass media in order to spread his anti-cannabis message. Anslinger notoriously fabricated a number of stories tenuously linked to police reports that he published in his "Gore File" and used to turn the public against the drug and gain backing for its criminalization. Among the accusations he levied were "There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz and swing, result from marijuana usage. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers and any others."; "Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men."; "You smoke a joint and you're likely to kill your brother." These accusations were designed to pray on the worries that many American's had about the number of immigrants entering the country.

A more interesting point relating to this is that Anslinger wanted the growth of all marijuana plants outlawed; including those that yield no intoxicating chemicals and can only be used to produce the extremely versatile textile hemp and cannabis oil which can form a cheap and effective base for fuels, paints and plastics. Anslinger and his primary supporter, William Randolph Hearst, both had considerable interest in the petrochemical industry and it has been suggested that the anti-cannabis campaign was primarily designed to eliminate hemp as a competitor.

No matter the reasons it is clear that Harry J Anslinger and his anti-cannabis activism played an enormous role in the national criminalization of the drug, something which is still strongly debated to this day.

** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** Body camera and surveillance footage of an officer involved shooting that left a 40-year-old man dead in his New Orleans East apartment earlier this month was released by police officials Tuesday (May 28). The NOPD released the footage Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. After the video was shown to media, they briefly discussed the content of the video and where the investigation stands. According to the NOPD, the officers Stephen Jones, Kevin Nguyen and Wayne Lewis will all be put back on street by week’s end as the shooting has been deemed justifiable. Donald Davis, 40, was killed in the shooting. Police claim Davis screamed, "shoot me, I dare you" before firing his weapon at the officers first. The NOPD responded to an officer in distress call when officers discovered one person was killed by NOPD officers, according to NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson. The incident happened in the 6800 block of Parc Brittany Boulevard in New Orleans East. The NOPD released the following statement regarding the review of the officer's body cameras:

"Superintendent Ferguson has reviewed video from the incident which clearly shows the suspect firing upon NOPD officers, who then returned fire, fatally wounding him. All officers involved in the incident were wearing their body-worn cameras. Those cameras were in operation and captured the incident. Per NOPD standard practice, the officers involved in this incident have been temporarily reassigned to administrative duty, pending further investigation. Additionally, the department’s video release policy has been initiated.  Preliminary investigation revealed that upon arrival three officers located the unknown armed adult male outside carrying a weapon and shots were fired. The adult male suspect was pronounced dead on scene, according to the NOPD. This incident is being investigated by the NOPD’s Public Integrity Bureau's Force Investigation Team as an officer-involved shooting. All officer-involved shooting protocols were initiated. The federal consent decree monitor and the Independent Police Monitor were duly notified and on scene. The internal investigation into this incident is underway. Per NOPD standard practice, the officers involved in this incident have been reassigned to administrative duty, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Spirit and Truth - On The Road To Freedom Featuring: Absolute Faith

Learn to believe God for the IMPOSSIBLE! Receiving God's BEST requires ABSOLUTE FAITH and you can only get it by CONTINUING in His Word.

Don't Hesitate

James 1:6-8

What happens when you hesitate to do something God has told you to do? Your adversary takes the first step. The devil gets the jump on you.
If you want to live by faith, hesitation is one of the most hazardous habits you could ever have. It comes from being indecisive. The Bible says a man like that is “unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything he thinks, feels, decides” (The Amplified Bible).
If you are double-minded, the decisions you make are split. You try to live by faith and protect your fear at the same time. You make faith statements like “I believe God is going to heal me.” Then your fear whispers, “But I wouldn’t want to say I’m well just yet.” You’re so busy going back and forth between faith and fear, you can’t make any progress at all.
Kick the habit of hesitation today. Make a solid decision to trust in and act on the Word of God. Settle it forever. Resolve never to entertain doubts again. When doubt comes to your mind, cast it out quickly.
When God speaks, don’t waste a moment. Step right out in faith. That way, you can always keep the devil a step behind you!

US Sports Stregth and Conditioning with BBcom Featuring Train With Passion | Cezar Lusewski, Nordic Bodybuilding Champion

Cezar and his girlfriend Sandra approach training with eyes set on the process and all of the benefits that go with the active lifestyle along with the obvious physical benefits in terms of development. "There are so many things that are great about this lifestyle. When you think of it all it makes you not want to quit."

4 Winning Cues for an Iron Mindset

Bodybuilding champ Derek Lunsford outlines his mental strategies for a full-force Olympia assault. It's a roadmap for meeting your own goals in the gym. Do you have the focus it takes to make gains happen?
In hot pursuit of the Olympia title he feels is his destiny, Derek Lunsford moves mountains of iron and follows a diet so strict it would make a soldier on MREs shudder. But the engine that runs the effort and keeps this rocket ship of sculpted flesh accelerating toward the showdown for the Sandow is his bulletproof mind. Step inside Lunsford's head, and you may implode under the weight of the challenge he has shouldered. He's a no-nonsense competitor.
His advice is simple—but not easy. Follow his four tips to maintaining a champion mindset and start forging a path to the gains of your dreams.

1. Have a Higher Purpose

"I used to think that just building my physique to become an Olympia champion was enough, but I realized that I have to have a higher purpose for what I'm doing, that there's even more of that in front of me," Lunsford says.
That higher purpose means staying focused on the right reasons, like being a positive role model for his legions of fans and doing everything he can to spread iron fever. To that end, he has launched his own platform hoping to reach as many people as possible through online training and one-on-one coaching.
Have a Higher Purpose
A higher purpose also means taking the high road on social media.
"It would be so easy if I went online and just started talking smack about another competitor. I could probably double my following. But that's not my path," he says.
If you want to succeed, find your higher purpose and keep it in mind in everything you do.

2. Sacrifice

As great warriors have demonstrated throughout history, there is no victory without sacrifice. Lunsford's strict diet and formula-one metabolism mean that even with refeeds every three hours, he always feels like he's starving. Choosing to be great means that he has had to embrace the solitude of iron and forgo many of the things that other people can't live without. For him, it's all worth it.
"My goal is to be an Olympia champ, and I'm starving more for my goals than for food," he says.
If you're hungry to achieve your goals, follow Lunsford's example. Success is as much about what you give up as it is about what you do.

3. Embrace the Misery

When champions like Lunsford step onto the exalted Olympia stage and reveal the arsenal of muscle they've spent the past year building and chiseling, they're at an absolute aesthetic apex. The only way to achieve that look, however, is with a diet and fluid-cutting schedule that becomes stricter and stricter as they approach the big day until there isn't a gram of fat on their bodies.
"When I reach the point where I have so little energy that I can barely get up off the couch, and I'm so lean my butt hurts when I sit in a chair, I know I'm ready," he says. "That's when you're ultra-shredded."
Embrace the misery
It's punishing work, but that's what it takes to be the best, so Lunsford embraces the misery. Nothing will be easy about reaching your goals, either, so when the going gets tough, embrace the suck.

4. Make the Gym Your Job

We all know the guy who loves walking around the gym wearing wrist wraps and unlaced combat boots, swigging from a gallon jug of antifreeze-colored fluid and pausing to gnaw the ear off anyone who will half listen. He takes more time getting just the right view of himself in the mirror than he does actually smacking plates. Not Lunsford.
"I want to be a positive role model and will say hello to people who come up to me, but I keep it brief," he says. "This is my job, and I'm hyperfocused on what I'm doing. On the drive to the gym, I'm meditating on the workout I'm about to do. I wear headphones into the gym, don't make eye contact, and get right to it."
If you want to make gains, treat the gym like it's your job. Punch the clock, use smart training techniques, and pump up your results—and save your social hour for afterward.

iHealthTube Featuring: These Conditions Linked to Gut Health and Chia Seeds Market to surpass the Flax seeds in the near future

Just how important is gut health? It's becoming more and more of a hot topic in health these days. In this video, Dr. Martin Singh discusses gut health, the issues that can arise from poor gut health and some natural treatments.

Chia Seeds Market to surpass the Flax seeds in the near future

By: Pradeep Tatikonda

Being healthy is a privilege. Working out, yoga, nutrition analysis and tracking calories along with those steps and heartbeat monitors have become a part of a health-conscious lifestyle. However, do we consume enough healthy foods instead of just following fads?

Individuals need macronutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and fibers as a part of their diet. Any mismatch in the proportion can lead to an inch gain or loss of stamina in the long run. Therefore, it is essential that the number of nutrients consumed be tracked properly in order to maintain a balance in the diet and overall health regime.

Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, iron, calcium, anti-oxidants, and other essential enzymes that are crucial for a healthy metabolism and weight loss process. The composition of these seeds facilitate regulating cholesterol levels in the body and cleansing the gut bacteria for a healthy bowel movement too! Known to guard the heart against strokes, these tiny seeds are an excellent substitute for eggs.

Consume it raw as a spoonful of goodness or mix it with water and allow it to swell up, these seeds are extremely versatile and can be cooked as a part of your everyday meal. Rich in protein, it is a great supplement to overcome protein deficiency and facilitate the weight loss process if you have been trying for the same.

Introduced as part of multiple diets, such as keto, GM or even a regular diet regime it also compensates for the micronutrient volume in the body such as manganese, potassium, copper, calcium, phosphorus, and others. Studies prove that chia seeds can help reduce obesity, diabetes, and risk of other lifestyle diseases. One teaspoon of chia seeds has an equal number of nutrients compared to a fruit or a vegetable that you might miss as a part of your hectic lifestyle.

Chia is in demand widely due to its nutritional and cosmetic value. Be it in the form of raw seeds, grounded powder, or oil; chia has recorded a compound annual growth rate of 40.62%. As a part of the market study, it is expected that the annual revenue will clock a whopping amount of $1.5 billion by 2021. Not only the product is high in demand due to its gluten-free content, but also a difference between the demand and supply chains have trodden the path for an exaggerated growth.
