WHAT IS DEER ANTLER VELVET?

People have looked for steroid alternatives for years. Many people always are looking for a new way to build muscle but don’t want the nasty side effects. One thing that got some attention a few years ago was Deer Antler Velvet.
Deer Antler Velvet is usually manufactured in Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. It comes from the actual deer antler and is what helps the antler develop and eventually turns in to bone. Deer antler velvet contains calcium, magnesium, zinc, and a full spectrum of amino acids and is also a source of glucosamine, chondroitin, and collagen to support healthy bones and cartilage.
So is this a steroid alternative? I would have to say no. Nothing really comes to the real thing but Deer Velvet Antler does show promising results with building muscles and anti-aging.
What put Deer Antler Velvet on notice was that it was showing promising results in building muscle. It is marketed as an IGF-1 precursor and helps increase natural HGH in the body, which gives us our first sign of it not being a steroid alternative. HGH products do not affect the testes like steroids or pro hormones do, though they can help with testosterone it does not function as a steroid or testosterone booster.
Supplementing with products that help boost HGH levels can be an effective way to build muscle and slow down aging. Deer Antler Velvet in particular can help improve recovery time and support joint health. If you are 30 years of age or older you may notice the best results while supplementing with Deer Antler Velvet.

WHAT FORMS DOES DEER ANTLER VELVET COME IN?

You can find Deer Antler Velvet in two forms, Spray and Pill. If you desire to take it before workouts or after you may want to supplement with the spray, if you want to take it before bed then taking the pills would be best. The reason why it is recommended this way is delivery time is quickest with spray and can enter into the system right before a workout.
Determining the best Deer Antler Velvet is really up to the person. Spray may work best for some and the pills for others. What you should notice while taking Deer Antler Velvet is that you will sleep deeper and feel more rested, faster recovery from workouts and noticeable muscle tone in about a month – with proper diet.
If you are looking for a safe way to build muscle and slow down the aging process try Deer Antler Velvet.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Aide Sues Lance Armstrong Over Steroids‏

Former Arnold Schwarzenegger Aide Sues Lance Armstrong for Steroid Deception

Schwarzenegger Aide Sues Lance Amrstrong Over Steroids
It’s difficult to believe Rob Stutzman is truly offended by Lance Armstrong’s deception about his use of testosterone and erythropoeitin (EPO). Stutzman has initiated a class-action lawsuit claiming he never would have purchased Armstrong’s book had he known the cyclist used steroids and PEDs. Of course, Stutzman didn’t seem to be bothered by his former boss’s use of steroids when he was the former deputy chief of staff for communications to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Even Former Crystal Meth User Andre Agassi Angered by Lance Armstrong’s Doping Deception

Crystal Meth User Andre Agassi Angry at Lance Armstrong
Andre Agassi was angered by Lance Armstrong’s lies about the use of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). Agassi told reporters at an Australian Open press conference that Armstrong’s deception was “unconscionable.” Agassi knows what it’s like to lie about drug use in order to protect his career. While Armstrong was battling testicular cancer, Agassi was getting high on crystal meth. Agassi lied to coverup a positive test for crystal meth and kept it a secret from the public for a decade.

Anabolic Steroids Are Incompatible with Jewish Law According to Rabbi Chaim Friedman

Steroids Incompatible with Jewish Law
Rabbi Chaim Friedman believes anabolic steroids are incompatible with Jewish law based on his assumption that steroids are harmful to the body. In a lecture entitled “Winning at all Costs: Steroids in Sport”, the South Florida Center for Jewish Ethics addressed the issue of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) on the same day that Lance Armstrong admitted using testosterone and erythropoeitin (EPO) throughout his pro cycling career.

AAS users are cheaters who use drugs to defy the limitations that nature has imposed. Unfathomable! But wait! How do we square this level of targeted indignation and hypocrisy with the fact that America has become a nation of performance enhancers ? Breast enhancement, sexual enhancement, cognitive enhancement are all about the American Dream of bigger boobs, better boners and brighter brains; bigger, better bodies, however, are simply not on the American agenda. Clearly some goals and methods for being all we can be are more accepted than others.

Lance Armstrong Tells the Truth About Drugs and the True Spirit of Sport

Lance Armstrong and Steroids
Lance Armstrong lied about doping. He finally admitted using erythropoeitin (EPO), testosterone and blood transfusions. Athletes dope. Always have. Always will. And they lie about it. This is practically a prerequisite for participation in elite sports. The far bigger lie is the one perpetuated by anti-doping crusaders, by sports journalists, by fans and by the general public. It s the notion that Armstrong s doping was an aberration, an exception, an oddity in the world of sports. It is the romanticized vision of sports competition free of doping.

Can't help it love this stuff.

Love that Steroid Speculation

With Raul Ibanez the next name of possibly using some kind of PE I guess, because he is so much of a better, bigger, stronger and faster athlete than I could ever be I am going to 'speculate' that he is using something.

Well if that is cutting edge journalism I don't know what is! As a matter of fact, just give me my Press Club award right now for making you look.

There is no turning back from this folks. We are now in the era of explaining away improved athletic performance but throwing out accusations based on our (insert baseball writing nerd here) lack of understanding of strength and conditioning.

If you as an athlete work hard enough in the gym, on the field and at the dinner table, you should be able to get bigger, stronger and faster. Has anybody asked Raul, A-Rod, Barry Bonds, etc. What their workout regiment consists of and have enough understanding to ask follow up questions to get across to the "kids" how this can happen without 'roids'? NO, NO, and H$%l No! Because not to disrespect these journalist; having never lifted anything heavier than a suspicion have nothing to rely on than some jive sensationalism!

Like I said there is no turning back now. I am suspicious of you now. I think you are using PE's now prove me wrong!

Okay so now you hate Manny?

Nate: So you feel betrayed by Manny?
Blog Reader Baseball Fan (BRBF): No not really
Nate: Don't you feel like many of the baseball writers and journalists that Manny has shamed baseball?
BRBF: Well....No
Nate: Many L.A. area baseball writers feel that the Dodgers must get rid of Manny what do you think of that?
BRBF: Uh...they don't sign the checks and cash the checks from the season ticket holders.
Nate: So if you were a Dodger fan would you 'Love' Manny
BRBF: Look! I loved Pamela Anderson! I love my brand new puppy! I love my family! Manny may help the Dodgers get to the World Series. I don't want him preaching at my church to the youth group.
Nate: Do you know of are you aware of what kind of PE's Manny was taking?
BRBF: Yeah something to help him have babies and hit home runs.
Nate: So what do we do now that it seems that all if not most of the top performers in baseball and possibly other sports are juicing? What do you say to the kids?
BRBF: Well I will tenderly say to my son or daughter "If I catch yo' A$$ touching any F*&^ing Juice I as you father will lovingly kick the living S&%t out of your F)*&ing butt and you better hope you are strong enough to survive it! and I love you very much!"

Okay so we went a little overboard on the last part, so let's get serious for a moment. I would like to challenge all of my fellow strength coaches, personal trainers, and fitness consultants to convey to at least one young athlete that there are natural alternatives to anabolic steriod illegal use and abuse. Many of my colleagues feel that I am waisting my time in trying to use my personal expertise in trying to tackle this problem at where I see the root. Obviously Bob Costas, Tony Kornheiser, Mike Tirico, and the scores of baseball writers out there cannot offer any alternatives. I do not hold any journalist to blame here, they are just doing their job. I also am going to do mine:
Many of you considering going on the juice will not want to read this but sorry 'Gotta' do it: (The linked text opens to a resource on the subject)
If you are not training and eating right you are waisting your time and syringes
Once you are training and eating right, there are safe and effective nutrtional supplements containing no illegal ingredients on the market today that can help you slowly catch up to and surpass the 'roiders'

I hope I am not the only strength coach putting this information into the right hands. I certainly welcome your debate and arguments. Anything before this minor drug problem catches up to the bigger problems of coacaine, meth, heroin, and many others.

Manny just being..well a real 'Manny!'

Well here we go again another star baseball player, possibly one of the best clutch sluggers in the game got caught 'red needled' in another chapter in the steroid ignoramus parade. Check the US Sports Network Blog Later today for some make sense commentary that may help ease your pain.

Roids no longer the Rage?

Well add me to the list of writers and (now that I have joined the ranks of the) bloggers that will not let this issue die. I would like to take a slightly different slant however.
What is lost in every ESPN, Fox, CSN's expert's rant is what do athletes do now to get that edge that we the fans pay to see. As a certified strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer with 35 years of experience, let me offer a few suggestions:

  • Let's eliminate from the training landscape one of the most critical mistakes that athletes themselves make. Not using full range of motion in all weight bearing exercises. For instance, when you squat, squat press, jump squat, etc. take 'dat' butt all the way below parallel! I cringe whenever I see an athlete with 495 lbs on the squat rack but just barely bending at the knees. This is of course after he has gone through all of the trouble of wrapping the knees, chalk all over the gym floor, snorting like a bull in heat [especially when the hot gym girls come within 25 feet of the Olympic Weight training area], you get the picture. This is just one example.
  • For goodness sake eat some food! You want to add 25lbs of good natural muscle before Kickoff 2009 then you better commit to eating 6-7000 calories a day of clean foods a day. Too many of you are on the 'Fatkins' diets and other low carb nonsense so that you look real good in your 'unis' while you are flat on your back on your team's way to another 0-5 start. Sorry to be so harsh but you need to know the gravity of not training, eating, and resting properly.
  • Train year-round. Should this still be a secret in 2009? You have the ability to grow bigger, stronger, faster and better year after year not just for 6 months at time!

These are the basics another factor is the disparity in athletes at a very young age whose families have the resources [money] to give their kids proper training and those that unfortunately do not. That is why I have joined forces with Ryan Lee and the good folks with Fitness Generator to be able to train any athlete online for just $10 per month. This is by no means a substitute for qualified one-on-one training from your strength and conditioning coach, but for those who are self starters, have a gym, fitness center, or some decent equipment at home, a customized progressive workout program tailored for you to help improve your strength, speed and agility to the point where you as a natural athlete will be accused of using roids which in a backwards sort of way is the best compliment that can be paid to a natural athlete. Wassup with Costas?

Every single episode of his otherwise very good show "Costas On The Radio" (Bob Costas we are talking about of course) is about how steroids have ruined his beloved baseball. At what point do you put this baby to rest and move forward? Or maybe we are getting a lot of mileage and listeners by keeping the issue alive?
