Key Takeaways
Hormone levels alone don’t
make someone a woman. And no number of cross-sex hormones can undo the
biological benefits of male genetics and development.
Polling shows that 67% of
Americans oppose allowing biological males who identify as transgender
to compete in girls and women’s athletics.
As we prepare to celebrate
the 50th anniversary of Title IX next year, elected officials should
stand up for women, for reality, and for the American public.
A transgender athlete, Lia Thomas, dominated during a
Nov. 20 women’s swim meet with athletes representing Cornell,
Princeton, and the University of Pennsylvania.
Thomas, a biological male who identifies as a woman, set new Ivy
League records for the women’s 500 and 200 freestyle and smashed
numerous UPenn records in women’s swimming.
In the 1650 freestyle final, Thomas, who used to swim on UPenn’s
men’s team as Will Thomas, blew the competition out of the
water—finishing first with a devastating, 38-second lead.
Sadly, stories such as this one have become more common. If the
Biden-Harris administration has its way, they could become the rule.
Just a few weeks after Thomas trounced biologically female teammates, President Joe Biden’s Department of Education announced plans
to amend Title IX regulations to conform to the president’s executive
order on what it calls “Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the
Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation.”
Such amendments by the Education Department would allow biological
males to compete against women in the name of “equality” and “preventing
discrimination.”
But the truth is, these amendments would contradict reality, equality, and popular opinion.
Hormone levels alone don’t make someone a woman. And no amount of
cross-sex hormones can undo the biological benefits of male genetics and
development.
A 2020 study by
the BMJ, formerly the British Journal of Medicine, shows that male
athletes who are “transitioning” retain a competitive edge against women
even after two years of taking estrogen.
In earlier days, one wouldn’t have needed a scientific study to prove
the point. Thomas’ 38-second lead in the freestyle speaks for itself.
And yet, gender ideologues continue to deny reality.
Despite the science, the NCAA—and the International Olympics
Committee—requires that a biological male’s testosterone must be
suppressed for only one year before that male is free to compete against
women.
Like the NCAA, the Biden administration’s latest announcement denies the science of biological sex.
However, denying the truth has consequences. Specifically, the denial of sexual reality robs women of the very opportunities protected by the federal law known as Title IX.
Under Title IX, women’s athletics received equal resources for facilities, training, recruitment, and scholarships. As a result, far more women participated in sports.
In 1972, the number of female athletes in high school totaled
295,000. Now there are 2.6 million. The number of female college
athletes has quintupled in that same time.
Title IX also is credited with decreasing dropout rates for women and increasing the number of women in higher education.
Allowing trans-identifying biological males to compete in women’s sports, or for women’s scholarships, reverses this progress.
Thomas’ drubbing of female swimmers in the Ivy League is just the
latest example. The female athlete who would have placed first ended up
placing second—to Thomas, a biological male with a proven biological
advantage.
What’s more, Thomas’ personal bests in the 500 and 1650 freestyle
would break current NCAA records in women’s swimming set by an Olympic
gold medalist, Katie Ledecky.
Imagine if Thomas had competed against Ledecky and performed at a
personal-best level. The world might never have come to know of Ledecky.
Now imagine how many women athletes would miss out on scholarship and
career opportunities if forced to compete against biological males in
every contest. This is the world the White House seeks to usher in.
Being out of step with reality is bad enough. But the Biden administration is out of step with Americans, too.
Polling shows that 67% of Americans oppose allowing biological males who identify as transgender to compete in girls and women’s athletics. Twenty states are suing the Department of Education over the new regulations.
Over 37 states have introduced bills to keep women’s sports for women. Nine have passed such bills.
The Biden administration and its gender-activist allies made their unpopular view clear from Day One.
The administration won’t be content to stop at changing Title IX
regulations. It will go on to rewrite the law to force female athletes
across the nation to compete against biological males.
Barring that, the White House will seek to change the law piece by
piece. It will be the death of women’s sports by a thousand cuts.
Enough is enough. As we prepare to celebrate the 50th anniversary of
Title IX next year, elected officials should stand up for women, for
reality, and for the American public.
It’s a heavily debated issue on how often you should train a muscle group. A new study published in July 2022 in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports claims that a small amount of daily activity can be more beneficial than a single high-volume session of exercise.
The four-week study split 36 untrained college students (24 males and 12 females) into three groups to measure the change in muscle strength and muscle thickness while performing max effort eccentric bicep curls. Group A performed one set of six reps each week, which unsurprisingly did not show any changes in muscle strength and muscle size. Group B performed one set of thirty reps each week which resulted in a six percent increase in muscle size but no additional muscular strength. Group C performed six reps five times per week which resulted in both a ten percent increase in strength and a similar increase in muscle size to Group B.
Many people have a muscle group that simply refuses to grow. For me, it has always been my chest. Once I switched from a single high-volume day to training three times a week incorporating a day of power, volume, and accessories, my pecs have greatly developed. So, if your single high-volume day is not working, why not try hitting your weak areas multiple times per week. A higher frequency training program will help you develop better form, deepen your mind-muscle connection, increase your overall training volume, and won’t allow one bad day to ruin your gains for the week.
As a final note, this study is not conclusive and there are many other studies that contradict this result. For example, a 2019 paper by Brad Jon Schoenfeld et al. J Sports Sci. did a comprehensive meta-analysis of 25 studies involving training frequency. They concluded that resistance training frequency does not meaningfully impact muscle hypertrophy when volume is equated. Therefore, you can choose a weekly frequency per muscle group based on personal preference.
“So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:54, 55).
The Bible sees death as an enemy. However, Jesus’ resurrection defeated this enemy; there is now no reason for the believer to fear death.
Why is it so important to teach your kids survival skills?
As parents and adults, it is your responsibility to teach your
children about disaster preparation as early as possible. In the actual
world, most individuals who are fighting for their lives aren't doing it
alone.
You have a family to support to make things even more difficult for you.
People have been raising children for millennia without all of the
contemporary comforts available to them, and they've made it through
just fine.
You must devise strategies for ensuring the safety of your children
while also doing the many duties necessary for our continued existence.
The entire family will rely on you for direction and support to help
them survive any tragedy; therefore, you need to be prepared.
Teaching children to be resilient in the face of natural catastrophes
is a difficult task that will test the patience of everyone involved.
The key to ensuring your children have the required survival skills is
knowing how to educate them ahead of time.
When raising children, safety is the priority. Curiosity might lead
children into dangerous situations since they aren't accustomed to being
in a survival scenario.
Children learn by doing, and in a survival crisis, they would do the
same thing they would in any other. Setting boundaries to keep kids safe
is one of our duties. What they are permitted to do and what they
aren't.
However, you also want them to have the freedom to experiment and
discover. The instructor is the student! The lower their risk of harm,
the more they learn about potentially harmful situations. The easiest
way to teach a youngster anything is to turn it into a game.
Make the lesson fun for the kids by turning it into a game. As a
means of teaching a youngster survival skills, camping is a great
option.
They will learn the fundamentals of camping, which are the same
abilities required for survival. When needed, they'll be ready to go
into action. Teach them the fundamentals of protecting themselves.
Educate them about the risks they may experience while camping so they
are prepared.
You should also teach your children how to cope with strangers when
camping as a parent. In the long run, teaching your children about
survival and how to enhance their well-being pays off.
Your children will be able to behave and think more maturely as a
result of this instruction. After you teach your children the skills
they will need to survive a crisis, they will grow up to be more
intelligent people.
Preparedness conversations should include the whole family, including
youngsters. Explain in a calm and straightforward manner, and be honest
while answering queries. To guarantee their long-term existence, focus
on safety.
If you and your family are separated, teach your children to recall
basic personal information about themselves and their family members.
Make sure they know to keep away from fallen trees, power poles, and
exposed wires.
Make sure they know how to alert an adult if they detect the smell of
gas. Tell them what to do if they smell gas and how to escape out of
the home.
As a family project, go through your emergency plans and plan your
escape routes. Each youngster should have their own bug-out bag. Keep
them entertained with a photo of the family, a toy, a game, a book, or a
puzzle.
Treats of their choosing may be included. This includes copies of the
children's birth certificates, updated photographs, and anything else
that might aid ensure the survival of the whole family.
Think safety, security, and comfort when it comes to your children.
Preparation is crucial for everyone, but particularly for children under
the age of seven. The fact that they are children makes them vulnerable
to a wide range of tragedies.
If you're in the middle of a crisis, your family will need food above
all else. In the end, you'll have to rely on emergency food supplies to
feed yourself. In the event that these supplies are exhausted, you will
be forced to depend on the natural edibles that are available to you
for survival.
For disaster preparedness, teach your children to consume organic
veggies in their meals, making it simpler for them to adapt to new
conditions in the event of a tragedy.
As a result of doing safety exercises, all members of the community
will be more prepared for the unexpected and better equipped to handle
the physical repercussions of the crisis. Make running a regular
component of your children's fitness regimen. Staying healthy and strong
while improving their survival abilities is a win-win situation.
Practice!
Preparing a First Aid survival pack ahead of time is critical in case
of an emergency. When an accident occurs, an emergency survival kit may
save a person's life. Children of all ages should be able to utilize
these skills to aid themselves and those in need.
For those who aren't constantly there to care about them, it's
important to teach them how to utilize the first aid kit. To improve
their chances of survival, they must acquire the most basic self-defense
techniques.
Preparation and preparation and preparation and preparation and
preparation and preparation are the keys to surviving and surviving and
surviving. Your family's safety and well-being depend on having a
strategy in place. "Survival is our Purpose!"

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” (James 4:6).
Operating in pride is spiritually harmful because God gives grace to those who are humble. Pride exalts our will over God’s; it over-exaggerates our own importance and blocks God’s ability to show us grace.
Let’s take a short trip. Close your eyes…well not now, first
read the next paragraph. Close your eyes and remember a time in your
life when you felt inspired and excited to make a significant change.
What happened? Did you go for it or did your inner obstacles get in the
way?
Your beliefs, thoughts and feelings are the foundation on which you
build your mental strength, hence your success. A solid house can't
be built on a foundation of shifting sand, or a compose pile. The same
applies to achieving success by using mental strength.
If your beliefs that lead to your thoughts are shaky, scattered and
uncontrolled, they will create internal obstacles that will hold you
back unless you destroy them.
Many times, it’s our "good indented" friends, colleagues and family
members who foster the seed of doubts by trying to talk you out of
changing your path. It is when you decide to make a better life for
yourself that your decision will be met by all kinds of cautious
warnings.
People will tell you "That sounds great, but do you have any idea how
much that will cost you or how long it'll take to get the kind of
result you want?" Or "What makes you think YOU can do that?" Or "Why
in the world do you want to change? Just put in your time and be happy."
Or the big one…"What will happen if . . .?"
Regardless of who and where this "advice come from, they only serve
to increase your level of anxiety and self-doubts. The best way to
handle such opinions is to say what my good friend T. Harv Eker says,
"Thanks for sharing" and then immediately forget what they said.
Learning to handle obstacles is the best way to stand your ground and
succeed. While listening or running away only serves to undermines your
self-esteem.
The Universe presents you with these challenges in order to learn to
how to develop mental strength, grow stronger and more confident in
yourself.
To succeed at overcoming obstacles, you need to have the mental
strength to stick through any adversity, if you truly believe in your
goal. You must see things through; to have the mental strength to
believe more in yourself than in the obstacles and to have the
willingness to do what it takes to turn the obstacles around.
This means, you need to stand up to your obstacles and not just
believe you can overcome them but take action AND overcome them! When
you attack your obstacles head-on and do something, you'll find that
they will simply evaporate. Heck, you might even have some fun at the
same time.
Standing up to and conquering your obstacles develops the mental
strength within you and creates sense of accomplishment that reinforces
the sense of your inner power. By developing a habit mental strength,
you instill into your psyche a strong message of endurance and success.
This strengthens the belief in yourself and what you can accomplish.
Sometimes you may have to resort to some other measures to overcome
obstacles. Here a few simple yet powerful techniques to assist you in
developing mental strength
Contemplation:
Ask yourself if the obstacle can be ignored. Your fixation of the
problem only renders it more cumbersome. If possible, stop paying
attention to it. Remember, energy flows where attention goes, and results
show.
Use humor to neutralize obstacle. This helps to diffuse the tension around the issue.
Take the bull by the horn and address the challenge head-on. This
might be challenging at first, particularly if you are not used to
confrontation. Yet the more you do it, the easier it will become.
Action Steps:
1.See obstacles as a learning to move you forward, fail forward fast!
Repeat loudly as often as necessary to yourself: "I have overcome this", or "This too shall pass."
Confront obstacles as habits of success (and not of failure.)
Develop the ability to overcome, bypass, or eliminate obstacles.
When difficult circumstances arise, take massive and immediate action.
You can only allow other people to put obstacles in your path, you
either accept them or not, it’s totally up to you. Learn how to develop
mental strength by standing up to the challenges without complaining.
Have the mental
strength to change your thoughts and beliefs that you can succeed, and you will.

The gut microbiota
The term to describe the dynamic community of microorganisms in the gut is ‘microbiota’. It includes bacteria, fungi, viruses, archaea and protozoans, providing the individual with an abundance of cells and genes, existing on and in the body. Approximately 95% of these microorganisms can be found in the gastrointestinal tract.
Within the gut microbiota, there are around a thousand species of bacteria, which all play a different role in the body. Some of these bacteria are beneficial and others are harmful. When there are more harmful bacteria than beneficial, this creates an imbalance, and this is when dysbiosis may occur.
Dysbiosis indicates poor gut health and may not only contribute to a number of digestive symptoms but may also compromise your entire body function. From nutrient absorption from foods to energy levels, weight management, mental health, skin conditions and the way our immune system functions. Here are some of the ways the gut and other body systems are interconnected.
