The StrenCast PowerShow. Let's Dive Into A Little Yoga and Swolverine Shall We? And How to Select Good Yoga Training

How to Select Good Yoga Training

  • Author Michele Hauswirth
There are numerous yoga schools in the world that provide good training. Selecting an appropriate yoga program is a daunting task. Things that you should consider before registering for a yoga class are not just location but also a quality yoga education.
Also, it is difficult to choose any one yoga style that satisfies all your requirements. Meditation and Pranayama techniques are also part of yoga sessions. (Continued below.....)

(....Continued....)Every yoga class aims to balance physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. The ancient practice of yoga is still an effective method to heal many disorders and restore energy. This is the reason many successful people add yoga in their daily routine. Selecting the best yoga training program should always be aligned with your objectives.

Here are some best tips to select a good yoga training program:

Yoga style that suits your lifestyle

Yoga has many benefits and is easy to adapt according to every person’s health condition. This is the reason people of all age groups want to learn yoga. Everyone has different health goals. An injured sports player might want to practice Restorative Yoga. Whereas Ashtanga Yoga is more power-packed. The two yoga styles are opposite in their approach. Chair Yoga is more suitable for a working professional to relieve stiff neck and shoulders with some light stretches of spine and legs. A pregnant woman may want to practice Prenatal Yoga which is beneficial for the mother as well as the baby. There are yoga styles for flexibility as well as specialized teacher training courses. Some people also want training in yoga to lose weight. Find out which yoga style is easier to incorporate and adjustable in your daily lifestyle.

Location of the yoga school

It may seem trivial, but the actual location of yoga school impacts our continued interest and focus on our health goals. Some corporate offices and even schools have started adding a yoga session after or before official hours for maintaining fitness. These sessions are easy to attend because they are inside the official premises. People who are always busy should select the location either near their office or home or somewhere inspiring.

With technology, it has become even more convenient to attend a virtual yoga class from home. The online sessions are well-prepared in advance and all the instructions are provided for the student to follow properly. E-courses for yoga are the best way to continue as a hobby or as a back-up training for future endeavors.

A certified yoga school

The quality of yoga education is very important for physical and mental growth. Whether for serious training or meditation, your health goals should be the top priority when selecting a yoga school. A student should check the certifications and awards conferred to the school. The number of years that the yoga school has been established and the review of students matters a lot to make an informed decision. It is important to know that the school has recognition from premium institutions especially from the International Yoga Alliance (USA). Your yoga training and achieving your goals depends largely on how well each yoga session is designed.

Experienced and qualified yoga teachers

The first interaction of a student about yoga is with the yoga teacher. A guide and a mentor who helps you become comfortable with yoga asana and bring new insight into yoga training. An experienced yoga teacher always inspires students to understand the philosophy of yoga. The awareness of the body and mind should be done in a precise way. A qualified yoga teacher knows how to involve every student in a yoga class. A good yoga teacher will know how to modify a yoga asana according to the requirement of the student.

Duration and number of students

The number of hours for yoga practice is specified for students who want to join teacher training courses. There are 50 hours, 100 hours, 200 hours, and even 500 hours. It depends on the learning process and experience that the students want to achieve. A renowned yoga school will have all the above options and expert teachers to train accordingly. The syllabus will be vast with practical as well as the detailed theoretical studies. The number of students is always limited to these yoga courses for providing individualized attention.

Whether professional training or not, yoga training requires a dedicated time to improve concentration. Yoga is a self-practice even in a class. The teacher can only give instruction but to apply the stillness of mind is completely personal. For deep relaxation, even while practicing at home, removing distractions is important. In a crowded class of 25 to 30 students, yoga practice may not prove to be that focused.

Conclusion

Yoga is a great health practice that has many positive influences. A good yoga training develops awareness, calms the mind, channelizes energy, and promotes overall healing. It helps an individual to become a strong person physically as well as mentally. Whatever your health goals, yoga is a wonderful learning experience that should be embraced by everyone.

Michele introduce to yoga well teaching, deep practice and meditation at Arhanta Yoga Ashrams. A qualified yoga teacher knows how to involve every student in a yoga class. A good yoga training develops awareness, calms the mind, channelizes energy, and promotes overall healing to join yoga teacher training courses.

10 Natural Flu Remedies from a Doctor's Wife and Dr. Sherri Tenpenny On The Vaccinations

10 Natural Flu Remedies from a Doctor's Wife

  • Author Jenni Wilson
Flu is no fun! No likes to be down with flu or up at night with kids who have it. First off, don't fear.

There are many effective home flu remedies you can keep on hand that will drastically lessen the severity and length of flu. They can even help with prevention! (Continued below.....)

(...Continued.....)1- Get Elderberry. It cuts flu recovery time from 6 days to 2. Health food stores have it in many varieties since a flu study came out a few years ago. I double the dose of most products for my own family if I suspect flu. I recommend Dr. Christopher's Elderberry Extract and use 1-2 dropperfuls every hour in a drink. Elderberry prevents the virus from getting into healthy cells.

2- Get a high quality essential oil. I rub it on the bottom of my children's feet. Essential oils are potently anti-viral. Oregano is the strongest infection fighter, but it's also the hottest. So dilute a few drops in some olive oil or other carrier oil (even vegetable oil will work). Doterra has a quality immune blend called On Guard. It smells amazing and it works. I give 2 drops with honey in some herbal tea for a painful, sore throat. I rub another blend called Breathe (diluted), on the neck and chest for congestion.

3- Push fluids. Give your child lots to drink: water, or fruit juices as long as they don't contain white sugar or corn syrup (these feed bacteria and suppress immunity). Peppermint tea is a "kid cure-all" at my house. I put this tea in bottles, sippy cups, or a glass with a straw. Kids need to stay hydrated, and peppermint has long been used for fevers, flu and calming tummy trouble.

4- Include echinacea. I make echinacea tea, add the mild tasting glycerin extract to other fluids, or squirt it straight in my child's mouth. Echinacea fights infection indirectly, by stimulating the body's own immune system to ramp up the fight. I use glycerite from Dr. Christopher.

5- Get Dr. Christopher's Antispasmodic formula. I rub this liquid on my kids' throats, and it immediately relaxes the muscles and stops dry coughs which sometimes accompany flu. This herbal preparation has rescued me from late-night discomfort, sleeplessness and even agony many times. It's effective.

6- Give a ginger bath. Baths help keep kids hydrated, help with fevers, and relax achy muscles. Put 1 Tablespoon ginger in the bath, or in a muslin tea bag in the bath. Run the water hot at first to infuse the ginger into the water, then adjust to the highest comfortable temperature for your child. Working up a sweat in a hot tub helps sweat out infection.

7- Get some Vitamin D3. I'd take 2,000-4,000 IU a day unless a true epidemic hit. Then I'd triple the dose. Vitamin D quiets the immune system's response to invading viruses in the respiratory tract. It can prevent the overproduction of inflammatory substances that can lead to fluid buildup and more severe symptoms. This may just be the most dangerous part of more severe flu strains like the swine flu. I use the RX brand. It's a bit pricey, but for me it's worth it (for this brand the dose is only 1 drop).

8- Make garlic toast. We know garlic fights infection. For kids, press a clove of garlic into some butter or olive oil, spread it on whole wheat bread, and toast it in an oven or toaster oven. Have your child eat some as is or with some honey added. Raw honey has natural infection fighting compounds. Four cloves of garlic are equal to an adult dose of penicillin.

9-If all comforts fail, try Motrin. For the temporary headaches, body aches and discomfort caused by the flu, ibuprofin is an easily attainable, fast acting remedy for kids. I save over-the-counter remedies for temporary, extreme conditions, and when symptoms are the worst, I'll use it.

10-Read up on flu drugs and vaccines before you try them. Did you know you can get flu from the vaccine? They are poorly tested, and have not been proven safe. Also, there are many reports of side effects of the drugs, especially in children.

Dr. Kent Holtorf, expert on infectious disease calls the Thimerosal-Mercury that can be found in Flu Vaccines "a proven neuro-toxin. It has 25,000 times the level of mercury that would be considered toxic if it were a food or water. Negative long-term effects are unknown and pose much higher risks than the flu itself. So, what's your next step?

May I suggest that you obtain some of these home flu remedies for your medicine cabinet, so you're ready when the need arises. You can find many of these tools online or at your local health food store.

General Law Enforcement Training, Educational Requirements and Job Description

  • Author Ryan Sprout

The general requirements in order to become a law enforcement officer are to *Obtain a POST ID (Peace officer Standards and Training ID) *Attend a training academy for law enforcement *Take necessary certification tests and become certified as a peace or law enforcement officer The amount of education you need to become a law enforcement officer varies as the career themselves.

Some college experience is enough in becoming a police officer, while a undergraduate bachelors degree is necessary to pursue a career as an FBI, DEA, ATF or Border patrol agent.  (Continued below....)

(....Continued.....)Many agencies and departments urge their employees to pursue a degree in criminal justice or obtain a post high school education. Courses in criminal justice include but are not limited to criminal justice, humanities, ethics, police organization, administration, leadership development, analytic reasoning, and communications. It's very important to keep in mind that it's important to complete and get your high school diploma. If not, continue forward in your education by getting your GED. You can do so by your local adult education center. None the less, it's always better to acquire some years or a four year college education. The most attractive elements about working as an officer and in the criminal justice field are the routine and scheduling. The possibilities are almost endless with a career in criminal justice and enforcement of laws. A typical day for someone who works in different fields of law enforcement varies depending on the career path you pursue.

Generally an enforcement officer may work in the office cubicle of the agency or more exciting in the field. An officer may encounter things differently everyday from keeping a watchful eye on citizens during a political convention, tapping into a phone call of a fugitive or pretending to be a young girl online to lure a pedophile into a sting operation arrest, assisting with a riot or preventing a terrorist crime from happening. The qualities officers must have are common sense, respect and sense for and of their community, intelligence, mindful of their environment, the courage to make smart decisions when necessary and when to hold back and stay calm, be educated, stay grounded and be realistic about the career field they are in. For those inspired to pursue a career in criminal justice enforcement; the financial and job security are well in place. More importantly, the kickback and personal reward of helping people, saving lives, and keeping the community safe when stressful or dangerous situations arise. For those inspired to pursue a career in the United States law enforcement task force, the financial and job security are well in place. More importantly, the kickback and personal reward of helping people, saving lives and keeping the community safe.

NO MORE PUNISHMENT - From CDM

Many of us may remember being threatened with punishment for some act of disobedience as a child, and the fear that resulted from it.

As adults, we may think the same way about God. This is because religion still teaches the Law of Moses, which is all about punishment and wrath. However, what was true under the law is now no longer true under grace.

Under the law, God punished the children, down to the third and fourth generations, for the sins of the father. This was a generational curse that Jesus took upon Himself when He went to the cross. Jesus took all the anger and punishment meant for us so that God can be merciful to our unrighteousness and remember our sins and iniquities no more. This is true for all believers.

God is no longer angry with us; He is no longer a judge, but is now our loving Father. In the Old Testament, God was distant and unapproachable; the people were warned that they would die if they came near Him. The New Testament actually began with Jesus’ death and resurrection; in it, we’re encouraged to come boldly before His throne of grace, to find mercy and grace to help us in times of need.

God loves us very much and wants a personal relationship with us; therefore, as His children, we don’t have to be timid or afraid of Him. He’s not intent on punishing us, and the idea that bad things happen to people because they’re being punished is wrong-thinking. If we do think that way, studying the Bible to rightly divide the Word of truth helps us renew our minds and think differently. We can be grateful that Christ brought radical change for the better to us.

Prayer:

Lord, as Your children, we don’t have to fear Your punishment. Jesus took all of that on our behalf, as the perfect and eternal sacrifice for our sins. We can now run toward You, not away from You. Thank You for this. In Jesus’ name, amen.

What Is Salvation? And Sharing Jesus with a Muslim

What Is Salvation ?

  • Author Kevin Bart

The Need For Salvation

There is one very critical issue that needs to be settled before you can ever begin to deepen your relationship and fellowship with God. Do you have a reconciled personal relationship with God ? What are the requirements and details of Salvation and the Gospel of Jesus Christ ?

It is often said about the various religions of the world that there are "many ways to God" or "the various religions all lead to the same God." Is this true ? What does God’s Word the Bible have to say about Salvation & Gospel of Jesus Christ ? Is Jesus one of many ways to God, or is he The Way to salvation and a reconciled relationship with God ?

True Salvation And the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Step 1: God loves you and wants you to have a personal relationship with Him, and to experience peace and life. Abundant and eternal life

"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." – Romans 5:1 (peace with God means to have a restored or reconciled relationship with Him)

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." – John 3:16

"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." – John 10:10

God offers peace with Him, a restored relationship with Him, and eternal life in heaven as a gift. Many people think they need to earn these things from God by being religious, or being a good moral person, or by doing more good than bad in their life.

Romans 6:23 – "… the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Even though God offers these wonderful things as a gift, and He wants everyone to have them (1 Timothy 2:4), sadly most people today do not have these things and they are far from God. Why ?

Step 2: The Problem – Our Sin & Separation From God

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." – Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." – Romans 6:23

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." – Isaiah 59:2

Our sins cause us to have a broken relationship with God, and to be far and separated from Him. Many people try to fix this problem themselves in various ways.

Our Attempts To Reach God

People have tried in many ways to bridge this gap and separation between themselves and God. Good works, religion, philosophy, morality,… None of these work.

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." – Proverbs 14:12 (death in this verse means to die and forever be separated from God and His love, and to forever be under punishment for your sins)

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one may come to the Father except through me." – John 14:6

Because God loves us and He knows we cannot fix this problem of sin & separation from God ourselves, He sent the solution.

Step 3: God’s Solution To Our Problem

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ." – I Timothy 2:5

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." – I Peter 3:18

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Jesus is God’s answer and solution to our problem of sin, eternal separation from God, and eternal punishment for our sins.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." – John 3:16

God solved our problem of sin & separation from Him by sending His Son Jesus. In order to receive these wonderful gifts from God, the Bible is clear about what we need to do in response to God’s solution.

Step 4: Our Response: Repent from sin, Trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and Receive Him by Faith and Commit Your Life to Him

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." – Revelation 3:20

"That if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." – Romans 10:9

"Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!" – Mark 1:14-15

"Yet to all who did receive him (Jesus), to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." – John 1:12

You Need to Make Jesus Your LORD and Savior

Nearly everyone wants Jesus to be their friend. Nearly everyone wants Jesus to be their Savior and save them from their sins and the eternal punishment of hell. But many people do not really want Jesus to be their Lord. The Lord of their life. Which means to give up control and the rights to their life to Jesus.

It may mean you need to give up your dreams and goals and plans, and accept Jesus’ will and plans instead. It may cost you a lot. Their is a cost to follow Jesus as Lord & Savior and be His disciple (a disciple is a learner & follower of Jesus).

You need to commit your life to Jesus, and commit to follow Him as your Lord and Savior. If you have never trusted and received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, but you are ready to do so, then you can do it right now.

Repent, Believe With All Your Heart, Receive Jesus As Lord & Savior

  1. Admit your need ("I am a sinner and I need a savior") 2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent -Mark 1:14-15). 3. Believe with all of your heart that Jesus loves you and died for your sins and paid the price for them. Believe also that Jesus rose again from the grave after 3 days, and later ascended back to heaven. (Mark 1:14-15 & John 1:12) 4. Through prayer, invite and by faith receive Jesus Christ to come into your life and be your Lord and Savior, and commit to follow Him (John 1:12)

Talk to God If You Are Ready to Repent, Believe Jesus, and Commit Your Life to Him

"Dear Lord, Thank you for loving me very much, and for sending Jesus to die for my sins. Lord, I have sins in my life. Please forgive me for all of my sins. And dear Lord Jesus, please come into my life, and be my Lord and Savior. I commit my life to you, to follow You and Your ways. And I repent and turn away from my sins, and I turn back to you. Please give me peace with God and eternal life in heaven. Please teach me your ways, and help me grow closer to you. In Jesus name. Amen."

You Can Know For Certain That You Are Saved

If you have done these things in your prayer to God – you truly repented of your sins, put all of your faith and hope in Jesus Christ, and received Him as your Lord & Savior and committed your life to Him and meant it with all your heart – then you for sure have a reconciled relationship with God, peace with God and eternal life, and new life in Jesus.

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." – Romans 10:13

"Those who have the Son (Jesus) have life. Those who do not have the Son do not have life. These things have I written, that you may know you have eternal life." – I John 5:12-13
