The defense struggled the entire quarter but still made the play to seal MJC’s win.

The City College of San Francisco reached midfield before Young intercepted a pass, sealing a 23-20 win for the Pirates on Saturday.

“I read the quarterback’s eyes,” Young said. “They were running comeback routes all game on me.”
After three strong quarters, the Pirates’ defense struggled in the fourth, giving up 14 points, including a 94-yard go-ahead touchdown with a little over seven minutes left.
After the Rams took a 20-17 lead, the Pirates (3-0) offense generated a 14-play, 83-yard drive that took nearly six minutes and forced CCSF to use all of their timeouts.

“Every game has its own flow,” Pirates coach Rusty Stivers said. “We did what needed to be done.”
With third-and-goal from the Rams’ 5-yard line, sophomore wide receiver Brandon Gray (Beyer) was told the play was coming to him.
Sophomore quarterback Danny Velasquez (Turlock) faked a handoff and found Gray in the right corner of the end zone for the touchdown.
“We just executed,” Gray, who has four touchdowns in his last two games, said. “They told me I am going to be the guy this year.”
Stivers said Gray was a little “raw” when he first joined the team but has always been a hard-working team player and has shined this year.
MJC scored on a 58-yard touchdown pass from Velasquez to sophomore Jordan Porter (Turlock) on the Pirates’ opening drive and MJC lead 7-6 after one and 10-6 at halftime.
Velasquez finished with 191 passing yards and two touchdowns and 159 rushing yards.
Before last year’s historic win over CCSF in the Golden State Bowl, MJC hadn’t beaten the Rams since Nov. 15, 1958 and Stivers said the program has joined the top-tier. Ranked No. 7, the Pirates are at No. 5 American River at 1 p.m. next Saturday.
Pat Summitt and Coachtube
“We have always been known as a good B level team,” Stivers said. “Now, we are starting to beat powerhouse programs.”

The Truth About Cancer Featuring: Annamaria’s Battle with Thyroid Cancer - Cancer Survivor Story

While filming our most recent documentary series in Asia, we met up with Annamaria, who shared her story of recovery from Stage 3 thyroid cancer.

After being diagnosed with Stage 3 thyroid cancer (papillary and medullary in two different tumors that spread to the lymph nodes), Annamarie did not want to go through radiation or radioactive iodine therapy.

Instead, Annamaria set out to heal herself naturally. She began expressing herself through painting, filling herself with positive energy.

From diet to essential oils, watch the full video to discover which methods worked best for her. And discover the power of prananadi healing as an alternative cancer treatment.

We were so happy to hear that after just 3 months, there was no longer any evidence of disease.

Thyroid Cancer

By: Dr Ranjit Gabriel Magherra

The thyroid is a small gland shaped like a butterfly that sits in the lower part of your neck in front of your windpipe. The function of the gland is to produce hormones. The main hormone released by the gland is thyroxine. The normal action of thyroid hormones is to keep all bodily functions occurring at a correct rate.

Thyroid cancer usually present as a nodule or lump in the neck called a thyroid nodule. Thyroid
nodules are relatively common, occurring in between 4 – 10% of the general population, although autopsy studies have reported up to 50% incidence in post-mortems on patients with no known thyroid disease. Most thyroid nodules are benign (90%).

There is a higher incidence of thyroid cancer in females (3.5: 1) but patients at extremes of age
( 50 years) and males are more likely to harbour a cancer within a thyroid nodule.

Is it deadly?

Thyroid cancer spans the entire spectrum of clinical aggressiveness, from micropapillary
carcinoma (often incidentally found, and measuring less than 10mm by definition) that does not
impact patient survival, to anaplastic carcinoma, which results in death within 6 months. The
commonest type of thyroid cancer is papillary carcinoma.

How to detect Thyroid Cancer?

The most important investigative modality is the fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) that can be
performed in the clinic, with minimum morbidity and often without local anaesthesia. This test tells us with about 80-90% accuracy whether the thyroid nodule is benign or malignant

Though less accurate in predicting whether a thyroid nodule is malignant, the thyroid ultrasound is still a useful tool in that it provides excellent anatomic detail regarding the nodule, accurate measurements (which are useful if the nodule is to be managed conservatively) and it provides information about the entire gland configuration that includes the presence of subclinical nodules in the contralateral lobe. It also allows for the evaluation of subtle central and lateral neck node enlargement. Features that suggest malignancy on ultrasound are central microcalcifications, irregular or blurred margins, marked hypoechogenicity, intranodular vascular pattern and an incomplete peripheral halo.

Treatment for Thyroid Cancer
Surgery is the most common form of treatment
for thyroid cancer that has not spread to distant
parts of the body. A part or the entire thyroid
and any other affected tissue, such as the
lymph nodes is usually removed with this
procedure. This procedure however may not be
recommended when a patient is found to have
thyroid cancer that has spread. Treatment may
include radioactive iodine therapy, and/or
hormone therapy.

“Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound” (Romans 5:20).

Trying to live by the Law of Moses doesn’t make us holy, but actually makes us sin more. God’s grace is the answer to sin.

Joel Osteen Recent Messages Featuring: God Counts You In | Don't Be Defined By Your Mistakes [Excerpt] | and Who Defines You?

Do you feel like you've made so many mistakes that everyone has given up on you? The good news is God will never give up on you. All throughout scripture Jesus went out of His way to reach ostracized individuals who everyone else had written off. No matter how many mistakes you've made, God still has a good plan for your life!

Who Defines You?
by Joel Osteen

If you're a baseball fan, you may know that Bill Buckner was a star player for the Boston Red Sox for many years. He had more hits than Joe DiMaggio or Ted Williams. One season he had the highest batting average in all of baseball. He was a great teammate and a leader in the clubhouse. But in the 1986 World Series, his error on a slow-rolling ground ball allowed the other team to tie the game. That team went on to win the World Series. Despite his illustrious career, many fans only remember that one bad play. When Buckner past away this year, the first line in the Associated Press article was, "Bill Buckner, a star hitter, who became known for making one of the most infamous plays in major league history."
Some people will try to define you by your mistakes. They'll stick labels on you, reminding you of the times you failed, the times you compromised, the times you didn't measure up. Some people will remember your failures more than your victories, despite all the times you succeed, despite all the good you do—the times you sacrifice for others and go the extra mile. When you make one mistake, when you go through one bad season, don't be surprised if people say, "God's not going to bless you. You gave in to the temptation. You went through the divorce. Your business failed."
Don't let people label you. They don't determine your destiny. They can't stop what God has ordained for your life. The only person that can stop you is you. If you let your mistakes define you, if you wear the labels people stick on you, if you believe the lies from "the accuser of the brethren" (Revelation 12:10), that will keep you from your destiny. You may have failed, but you're not a failure. That was a moment in your life, that was one season, and it doesn't determine your future. You can't stop others from putting a negative label on you, but you can take it right off. "I'm not defined by my mistakes. I'm defined by what God says about me. I am forgiven. I am redeemed. My past mistakes are behind me, and my failures are in my yesterday."
"God's mercies are new every morning" (Lamentations 3:23). Receive that mercy and move on. "What about that failure?" It's in the past. "What about that mistake?" It's covered by mercy. "What about the divorce, the compromise, the time you blew it?" That's over and done. Life is too short to let what happened in the past keep you from the great things God has in your future.
