“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:3).
Christ has put all we need for victorious, prosperous, peaceful lives inside of us. We simply need the Holy Spirit’s guidance to bring it out for all to see.
In this message, Victoria will teach that whatever you’re facing today, God wants you to know: “I’m right here. I’m an up close and personal God. Come close to Me and know that I will help you.”
There’s no mess you’ve made that He can’t help you clean up. In Jesus, you are made right with God. There is nothing that God cannot do for you through Jesus Christ. There’s nothing on the inside of you that would make you distant from God. He loves you just the way you are!

Make Room for Increase
Post by Joel Osteen
It's easy to get talked out of our dreams and live discouraged because of disappointments, things we don't understand, and especially because of what people say about us. You need to distance yourself from people who are always trying to put limitations on you and talk you out of what God has put in your heart. Sometimes that includes the people who have known you the longest, because they can see you only one way.
In the Scripture, David's family didn't see him as a giant killer or as a king or anything special. They discounted him. David's father, Jesse, didn't even bother to bring him in from the shepherds' field when the prophet Samuel was choosing one of his eight sons as the next king of Israel. Jesse thought, "Well, it's just David. He's too small and so young. He's not talented enough and doesn't have the experience." But people don't determine your destiny. What they say about you and how they try to make you feel cannot stop what God has ordained for your life.Abraham was living in a limited environment. God told him to leave his country, to leave his extended family behind, and go to a land that He would show him. God was saying, "Abraham, you have to leave what's familiar, leave what you grew up with." I'm not suggesting that you abandon your family, but I am saying to leave behind the negative mind-sets you were raised with. Leave a scarcity mentality. Leave the limitations that people have put on you. You have to make room for God to increase you. Sometimes our environment is too small. It's like an oak tree seed planted and left to grow in a two-gallon pot. That oak tree will never become what it was created to be. It's not because there's something wrong with the tree. It's because of the environment that it's in.
In the same way, there's nothing wrong with you. You have seeds of greatness in you. The Most High God breathed His life into you. Now make sure your pot is not too small. Make sure your environment is not holding you back. You need to be around people who inspire you, people who have gone further, people who are making a difference, not just people who are settling for the status quo. The prophet Isaiah says, "Enlarge the place of your tent. Stretch forth your curtains. Lengthen your cords. Strengthen your stakes. Make room for God to do a new thing." Tell that limited mind-set, "I'm dreaming big dreams. I'm praying bold prayers. I'm expecting to go further than how I was raised."
Miami vs. Wisconsin: For the 3rd time in the last decade, the Miami Hurricanes season has ended in a bowl game loss to the Wisconsin Badgers. This year the Canes fell 35-3 to the Badgers in the 2018 Pinstripe Bowl. Despite the Miami defense playing well with 10 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and an interception, the Hurricanes could not overcome the five turnovers they had on offense. Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor had another outstanding game, rushing for 205 yards and a touchdown. [Videos and More Below]
FIVE BODY-BALANCING UNILATERAL MOVES YOU SHOULD MASTER.
It’s rare in sports to be doing the same thing at the same time with both legs or both arms, especially with the same force or velocity. Yet the vast majority of strength exercises are done bilaterally—with both sides at the same time. (Think: pull-ups, push-ups and barbell curls.)
The thing is, despite what your mother told you, no one is perfect. We all have a bigger foot, a larger biceps and a weaker side. We prefer one side over the other for writing, kicking, throwing or hitting, a preference that inevitably creates an imbalance, making one side of our body stronger, more agile and more adept than the other. In fact, a study published in the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport showed that strength differences between your limbs can be as much as 25 percent.
You might not even realize there’s a strength disparity between your sides, especially if you perform mostly bilateral movements in your training. With something like a barbell curl, for example, your stronger arm will compensate for the weaker one to do the lift, essentially masking an asymmetry or a weakness that may have developed. Imbalances such as these could lead to ineffective movement patterns, compromised joint and tissue integrity, and even injury over time.

“Let’s talk about the pump. Does it play any real, critical role in enhancing your lean muscle building efforts? You know what I’m referring to: that feeling during a workout where your muscles feel so engorged with blood, so full, that it feels like your skin is going to split. That’s the pump.
Apart from looking awesome and helping you feel swole, how does the pump benefit hypertrophy and physique structure change in the long run? Well, where the pump becomes anabolically effective is in its pairing with a physiological response known as muscle cell volumization. It’s the swelling of the cell that works as a mechanism for muscle growth.
First thing we need to understand is that while the muscle pump and cell volumization are closely related, and work hand in hand, they’re not the same thing. Muscle cell volumization refers to the actual volume of H2O inside the muscle cells. The pump refers to increased volume in between and surrounding the muscle cells. In spite of them being different, obtaining a pump is required to bring about increased cell volume.
Before we dive in and start breaking down the physiological process of both, let’s talk about why it’s important. Why would you want to know how the pump and muscle cell swelling actually work? Understand that cell volumization is, first of all, critical for the shuttling of amino acids into your muscle cells. It’s critical in triggering the body’s new lean muscle process, known as protein synthesis. Additionally, it helps suppress protein breakdown, especially during training and immediately after. Muscle cell volumization and muscle pump are two of the most anabolic responses your body has. Got your interest? Good. Let’s have a look at how this all works.
HOW DOES THE PUMP WORK?
In response to high-intensity training, dilation occurs, increasing blood flow to the working muscles. This enhances the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, as well as increases the plasma and H2O around and between the muscle cells. Boom! We have ourselves the pump. But what about cell swelling? Do we have that?
Well, it may come as a surprise, but it’s the processes required to bring about the muscle pump that actually, at first, set your muscle cells up for cell shrinkage rather than volumization. But fear not. Your body has this under control. Through regulatory volume increase, your skeletal muscle cells are able to not only maintain cell volume, but even increase in volume. It does this through a number of processes that involve pumping sodium ions out of the muscle cells in exchange for pumping potassium in. This ultimately results in an increase in intracellular concentration.
As intracellular concentration increases relative to the fluid concentration outside of the muscle cells, extra water is pulled into the muscle. Boom! We now have muscle cell volumization. It’s critical to point out that these processes of shifting sodium and potassium in and out of your muscle cells are also critical for amino acid uptake into your trained muscles. To kickstart the lean muscle growth and repair processes, you need to get amino acids into your just-trained, damaged muscle cells. Amino acid uptake is increased by muscle cell volume and dependent on the sodium concentration induced by the sodium/potassium pump processes acquired in achieving muscle cell volumization.
Now that we have a brief understanding of how things work and know the importance of obtaining cell volumization during your training sessions, let’s look at a number of ways you can enhance and benefit further from the anabolic effects of muscle cell swelling.
HYDRATION
At the most beginner level, proper hydration is needed for optimal cell volume. The ability to achieve protein synthesis and have it in favor of a protein breakdown during your training period is dependent on achieving this. If you’re even a little dehydrated, your body’s ability to achieve the desired muscle cell volumization will be seriously impaired.
SODIUM and POTASSIUM
In order to get water inside your muscle cells, and increase cell volume, maintaining optimal levels of sodium and potassium are critical. As we briefly discussed, sodium and potassium are required for cell volumization and amino acid uptake. Don’t be scared to add sodium and potassium to both your pre- and post-training nutrition. Understand that if your sodium is depleted, the pump you’re going to get while training will be weak at best.
CREATINE
Creatine monohydrate is really like the “magic pill” when it comes to obtaining muscle cell volumization. Creatine supports cell volumization in a couple of ways. First, it directly helps by pulling additional water into the muscle cell. It also helps cell volume by helping to provide the energy source ATP, which is required by the muscle cell when it’s moving sodium outside of itself during that sodium/potassium pump exchange. Five grams of creatine before or during your training and five grams immediately after training will work nicely to assist muscle cell volume.
MAXIMIZING THE PUMP DURING TRAINING
The last point I want to discuss isn’t from the point of view of obtaining cell volumization, but rather, maximizing its effects once you have it. It’s all about placing mechanical tension and stress on a pumped up, volumized muscle – that’s where the real effects happen. Part of the mechanism by which muscle cell swelling triggers muscle protein synthesis is via increased tension on the muscle itself. This external load placed on the muscle directly increases protein synthesis. In addition, forcing muscle contractions under substantial load when the muscle is volumized activates amino acid uptake.
Make sure that the program you’re following takes this into account. A program structure that takes you through a muscle activation, then target muscle pump and then a shift of focus on mechanical tension. This is a good place to start to maximize muscle cell volumization and anabolic effects.”

Natural Cures for Multiple Sclerosis
By: Ron Sauciron
Picture yourself enjoying an early morning snuggle session with your kids who love to jump into bed with you and enjoy some early morning bonding with you and your spouse. As you attempt to get out of bed, however, you feel what seems like an electric shock that started at the base of your neck and progressed down your spine ending at your feet. Your whole body starts to tingle and your leg becomes numb. It's like bumping your funny bone but your whole body tingles and goes numb, not just your arm. This was a totally new experience, and deep down, you knew this was serious. Over the following weeks the symptoms continued to deteriorate to the point where walking became more difficult and climbing the stairs was almost impossible. After 90 days of agony and testing, you are diagnosed as having multiple sclerosis (MS). An inflammatory disease where the insulating covers of the nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord are damaged. This condition often cause disabilities and leads to damage to the optic nerve. Damage to the optic nerve can lead to hazy or blurred vision and ultimately the sudden loss of vision. As the disease progresses, additional symptoms like memory loss, intense pain, incontinence, extreme fatigue, and ultimately, the inability to walk can occur. So, you ask yourself, what causes this devastating disease ? And the answer is we don't know. We do know the cause of the symptoms, however. It's the result of the destruction of myelin (a fatty sheath that surrounds and protects nerve fibers in the central nervous system). As MS progresses, myelin deteriorates, leaving the delicate nerve fibers exposed. This causes the nerve fibers to lose their ability to communicate with each other which results in the victim experiencing pain, numbness, loss of vision, and a host of other discomforts. So your next question is if there's no cure what's the treatment ? Mainstream medicine's approach is the ABC treatment composed of three injectable drugs, Avonex, Betaseron /Betaferon, and Copaxone. This treatment is intended to stimulate the patient's immune system. There are two major problems with this approach, however. Number one, the ABC treatment is only effective 30% of the time. And number two, the side effects bring new problems to the table (like we don't have enough problems already ?). Then there's the extreme financial burden the patient hast to endure, between $10,000 and $30,000 a year. So if you elect to go with the ABC treatment you can expect to be injected with three drugs that are 70% ineffective, you will be subjected to numerous side effects and it will cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $20,000 a year (over $400 a week ). As an advocate of holistic medicine, you totally reject the ABC approach. So your next question is "how can I treat this illness with natural remedies ?" Research has confirmed the fact that natural treatments are frequently more effective than drug treatments with virtually no side effects. So you consult with a holistic healthcare professional and the natural approach begins. The first step is to check for food allergies. When you eliminate the foods you are allergic to, you notice a gradual improvement in your symptoms. Next you alter your diet to consist of fresh organic vegetables, lean organic meat, berries, and no processed foods and as time passes you notice an additional improvement in your symptoms. We are all individuals so there is no specific diet that will work for everyone. But there are some common elements that will work for the majority of us. The following are some of those common elements. Green Vegetables Are Essential : Green Vegetables are high in minerals that stimulate the activity of antioxidants which are properties in our genes that stimulate the body's defense against free radicals. Avoid Wheat and Dairy : They trigger a multitude of autoimmune diseases. If you must indulge, use small amounts of organic versions. Eliminate Sugar : It spawns candida albicans and increases inflammation in the body. One study discovered candida albicans increased the risk of contracting MS. Avoid Alcohol : Alcohol intensifies MS symptoms because it's produced from sugar. Avoiding the pharmaceutical approach and employing the natural approach will save you money, allow you to avoid the side effects, and will be more beneficial in the long-run.
Those who suffer from multiple sclerosis are predominately women. There are numerous ailments that affect mainly women and there's a book that addresses many of those ailments. The title is Health Springs Eternal, A Holistic Approach To Women's Health Issues. I call it a reference book for all women and the men who love them. Go to VitaminAndHerbalHealth.com

'Serious flaws' in UK immigration system, Law Society cautions
By: Tom Mcalister
'Serious flaws' in UK immigration law system, Law Society cautions Bad immigration law choices are having a "devastating" effect on families and businesses and undermining the rule of law, solicitors have cautioned. In England in Wales, close to 50 percent of decisions were overturned, making the system appeared as "seriously flawed", started the law society. And, the team included, it had to be fixed prior to Brexit begins. Appeals are upheld for a number of reasons, often enough because new evidence is provided, started The Home Office. Anine Sutherland, who combated a three-year battle with the Home Office to assert her right to remain in the UK, stated she was "treated like a criminal" by officials at her primary tribunal hearing. ' Windrush generation' deportation threat Asylum seekers front appeals 'lottery'. "They asked me 'how do you know your boyfriend won't leave you?' and that had zero impact on your application did it? Not at all, My application was based upon my mentor qualification, not my private partnership," she told BBC Radio 4's Today programme. Ms Sutherland, who moved to the UK from South Africa as working holidaymaker 16 years ago and afterwards qualified as a teacher, first made an application for uncertain leave to remain in March 2015. Her application was turned down because of a Home Office error but it took two appeals and the risk of a judicial review prior to she was finally granted the immigration standing she was always qualified to. The Home Office acknowledged there had been "undesirable hold-ups" in making a decision in her case and were now considering regardless if she was eligible for compensation for lost cash flow, as her right to work was limited during the appeals method. The Law Society, which stands for lawyers in England and Wales, says the variety of appeals being upheld has been boosting for recent three annums, according to Ministry of Justice numbers. "Virtually 50% of UK immigration and asylum appeals are maintained - obvious proof of serious flaws in the means visa and asylum applications are being actually handled ," said the organisation's president Joe Egan. "We understand there is better practice in the Home Office and authorities that plainly wish to make a distinction, but every error or delay might - and often does - have a devastating effect on someone's lifespan," he included. The UK Visa and Immigration service faces possibly the most significant single increase of applications in its record when EU nationals residing in the UK seek to relax their status post-Brexit making "the requirement when it comes to a durable, dependable and functional immigration body is more important than ever", the Law Society said. The Home Office stated it was fulfilling its targets for refining "straightforward" visa requests however "some applications could be sophisticated and need more information before we reach the appropriate judgment". "Appeals are allowed for an assortment of explanations, often due to new evidence presented before the court that was not accessible to the decision producer at the time," a representative said. Concerns about post-Brexit body. It comes as the Migration Observatory think tank cautioned which great numbers of EU nationals entitled to live in the UK might unintentionally end up being unlawful locals after Brexit because they will have a hard time to fill out the paperwork. " The Home Office is clearly eager to produce a body which is easy and simple to utilize, and most EU residents ought to have the ability to cruise throughout a clarified request process with little difficulty," stated Migration Observatory director Madeleine Sumption. "But for a few of people, the process will certainly be harder. "A lot of these are currently society's most susceptible - whether it is since they are socially separated, have bitten of exploitation, or face personal barriers such as mental health or poverty.". 'Windrush generation' deportation threat. Brexit: All you need to know. Many people simply won't be aware of they must use, Ms Sumption added. The Home Office is about to introduce an application body for EU nationals looking for to remain in Britain following Brexit later this year. It stated it had already introduced a national awareness campaign and was keeping regular monthly meetings with EU citizens' representatives "to understand their needs and are planning a range of support for vulnerable groups". EU nationals who have been in the country for five years due to the end of 2020 may have the ability to apply for settled status - meaning they are free to continue living and doing work in the UK. People who have shown up by December 31, 2020, but do not possess five years' residence will be able to apply to stay until they have gotten to the threshold, whereupon they can seek settled status.
“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief” (Hebrews 4:11).
Jesus has done everything necessary for our salvation; all we need to do now is rest in His finished works. The challenge comes when we’re tempted to doubt the authenticity of what He did.

The 5 Most Stressful Days of the Year
By: Jason Fritz
Some days are a lot more stressful than others if you take into account everyday life aspects. Aspects like your career, your marriage or relationship, or even paying your bills on time. Every day events certainly warrant stress relief management tactics, but every few months your stress is exponentially compounded on specific days of the year. Here is a list of 5 of the most stressful days of the year: #5 Thanksgiving What could possibly be stressful about a family gathering to eat some turkey and watch some football? Hopefully, you have been through enough Thanksgivings to pick up on my sarcasm in the previous question. The turkey and football are definitely effective stress reducers in their own right, provided the Lions play a competitive game. The turkey provides a scientifically engineered excuse to skip forced family conversations and doze off for a while. #4 Finals For students, it's make or break time. For parents, it signals time to prepare your home for their summer or extended return home. There is a good chance that their finals will go well and all their extensive fretting and preparation will have paid off. Just like any other stressful day or situation, there is a period of stress release expected. Do your poor, over achieving student a favor and foot the tab for a night out (given they are 21 or older of course!) #3 January 4th Researchers have pinpointed January 4 to be the most stressful day of the year. They say that the perfect storm of cold weather, economic gloom, and the end of Christmas cheer will leave many temporarily sad and depressed. Judi James, a psychologist and expert in communications and body language, said:"January can be one of the most stressful times of the year between sale shopping and recovering from the excesses of the party season, which can stimulate negative behaviors such as rising tension, stress levels and blood pressure." #2 Tax Day April 15th. Many of us taxpaying, ever tax write off searching adults know this day all too well. Consider yourself lucky if you or your highly accredited tax professional has decided that a return is headed your way. For those who have to scrounge up funds to meet the deadline experience a lot more stress leading up to this day. April 15th isn't just stressful for tax payers; it takes a toll on all those involved in the process. Immediately move this day to the #1 most stressful day if it has resulted or results in an audit. #1 Christmas As parents, you most likely guessed this one. But even without highly expecting children to shop for, Christmas is easily the most stressful time of the year. Scouring malls and department stores looking for the latest and greatest gifts can leave you physically and emotionally exhausted. If it isn't finding the perfect gift to please the loved or hated one you're shopping for, it's the management of available cash or credit to purchase for all of those on your list. Shopping is only half of the holiday battle as you will still have to attend a "joyous" family gathering or worse yet, host the event yourself.
