Presented on US Sports by One Shot Fight Enders DISCOVER HOW TO STOP ANY ATTACK WITH THESE ONE SHOT AND AVOID SPENDING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON INEFFECTIVE MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES https://bit.ly/47RWmQ7
Kind of shocked (but not) at the reaction we got from some people for this ad: https://bit.ly/47RWmQ7 It's strange that gun control people and...even more stranger that pro gun people DON'T LIKE body armor. It
seems that the solution to anti-gun people is that all guns are gone
and to the gun people...the only solution to a bad guy with a gun is a
good guy with a gun...
I don't get it. The
fact is, body armor saves lives. You are 3-4 times more likely to
survive a gun shot to the torso while wearing armor.
Report here: https://bit.ly/44g70No And
another thing I can tell you is that 100% of the victims in ALL active
shooter incidents and of gun violence in general were not wearing any
armor at all....
Why people refuse to acknowledge that body armor saves lives in beyond my comprehension.
As a police or law enforcement officer, you know that staying
in shape is a key part of your job - and for keeping you safe. You also
know that it's often almost impossible to find the time to work out
consistently.
Let's face it, fitting in an hour or two of exercise every day is
just not very realistic in your hectic, demanding schedule. That's why
you need to focus your work outs on the type of exercise to give you the
best results in the shortest amount of time.
And the type I recommend is high intensity exercise - especially hill
and stair sprints. These techniques allow you to get the most out of
your precious workout time. Helping you build strength, power, speed
and stamina while burning maximum amounts of fat - all in much less time
than a traditional workout.
There are numerous reasons that high intensity is the way for you to go. Here are the Top 3:
Hill Sprints Build the Stamina Necessary For Your Job Demands.
Endurance is something that every law enforcement officer needs - but
it is a special kind of endurance. If you want to perform at your
peak, then long, slow distance types of cardio just won't work. Your
endurance training needs to mimic the demands of your job. Those needs
being - short bouts of intense exertion alternated with periods of long
periods of lower intensity.
Think about it. How often does your job require you to jog at a low
intensity for long periods of time? Or even run at a steady, moderate
pace for 20 or 30 minutes in a row? Yet, these are exactly the types of
demands that long, slow cardio workouts prepare you for.
On the other hand, high intensity work, like hill sprinting, provides
you with interval training that meets your needs. It will take your
heart and lungs to intensities far greater than those found in jogging
or traditional types of endurance training. Your body will become used
to reaching these higher levels, and recovering quickly in between the
"sprints." Not only that, with hill sprints, you will be able to spend
much more time training at that high intensity than if you try to "go
hard" at a steady state.
This type of training can lead to more protection for your heart and
lungs than traditional "cardio". Long, low intensity cardio can
actually shrink the size of your heart and lungs because your body is
excellent at adapting to the stresses placed on it. Training long and
slow encourages your body to become as efficient as possible to make the
exercise easier. The result: it shrinks muscle mass along with your
heart and lungs. This has the effect of decreasing your reserve
capacity - the ability of your cardio-vascular system to respond to high
stress situations (exactly the kind your run into in your job).
Without a high reserve capacity, your heart and lungs may be at risk
during stressful events. High intensity training can help raise your
reserve capacity instead.
Not only that, but more and more scientific studies are showing that
VO2 Max (the traditional measure of aerobic endurance) is improved as
much - or more- by using high intensity exercise like hill sprinting.
This endurance is due to the sprints upgrading your oxygen intake system
with new capillaries, developing stronger heart and lung tissue, adding
more energy producing mitochondria and increasing your tolerance to
lactic acid buildup.
Want the ability to respond to high intensity situations (and recover quickly afterwards)? Then train the same way.
Hill Sprints Give You Results In As Little As 15 Minutes.
Sure, this training sounds great - but how much time does it take?
Truth is, you can get these benefits in short workouts of 15 minutes or less - only 2 or 3 days per week.
High intensity work, especially hill and stair sprinting, is an
incredibly efficient way to exercise. This is because you are forced to
do more work in a shorter period of time. In other words, hills and
stairs are like the perfect combination of strength training and
sprinting - you literally "lift" or "push" yourself up the incline. The
steeper the incline, the more demand is placed on your leg muscles.
This intensity allows you to get in a superior workout in a very short
period of time.
Hill Sprinting: The Incredible Stress Buster
The bad news: Your position as a law enforcement officer brings a
great deal of stress along with the job. This stress can lead to
health-related problems like heart disease and metabolic syndrome.
The good news: One of the best ways to "bust" that stress is with exercise - more specifically high intensity exercise.
Exercise in general relieves stress in a number of ways. First of
all, exercise stimulates your brain to release substances (endorphins)
that improve your mood. Besides that, exercise can decrease cortisol
levels, provide a distraction from the source of stress and boost your
self confidence.
Any exercise can have these effects, but high intensity can amplify
your results. Recently, researchers at the University of
Missouri-Columbia showed that high intensity exercise is superior in
reducing anxiety and stress. The 2003 study even showed that the
effects can be felt 30, 60, even 90 minutes after an exercise session.
These are just 3 of the reasons that every law enforcement officer
should hill sprint. Take your endurance to a new level and reduce your
stress in only a few minutes of exercise per week with this "old school"
training. You, your fellow officers and those you serve and protect
will be glad you did.

I'll start by saying, I don't actually care what gun you carry. I have no vested interest in Glock, SIG Sauer or Smith and Wesson selling more guns. The point of this post is to get new and existing concealed carriers to think of why they carry the gun they carry, and in doing so find out if it truly is the best gun for them to carry.
So the question is, which gun you carry, and more importantly, why?
It's the First Handgun I Carried, and It Works for Me —
Many people carry the gun they do because it's the gun they first bought and ‘it works for them‘. For most of us, the knowledge we have of the attributes of different gun makes and models grows as we study more about concealed carry and self defense. So, as our understanding increases, we should assess our handgun choice considering new information.
You may have started out with a small double-action-only Ruger LCP, but after understanding a bit more about different pistol action types, you may desire the benefit of a single-action semi auto handgun.
Advances in Engineering —
Another reason to reassess why we carry the gun we carry is because of advances in engineering. It was in 2018 that SIG Sauer upended the entire concealed carry handgun market with the P365. SIG got 10,12 or 15+1, 9mm rounds in the same sized gun as the 8+1 Smith and Wesson Shield, or 6+1 Glock 43.
If you wanted 10+ 9mm rounds in a smallish handgun back then, you had an option like the Glock 26. But the Glock 26 was much heavier, thicker and not as shoot able as the P365. In the few years since the P365 debuted, other manufacturers have engineered fantastic options that balance size, capacity and performance that just weren't options before.
Not that carrying a Glock 26 is a bad thing, but if you're still carrying one only because it's the smallest 9mm with a 10+ capacity, you're missing out on many options.
Aftermarket Gear Options —
Similar to advances in handgun engineering, companies are constantly designing products to help make carrying a gun safer or help in performance. An example of this could be something as simple as holster selection. Many times, the first holster anyone owns is a generic universal one. Once they train more, they realize the holster is not ideal as far as performance or safety. But if the gun you carry isn't popular, you're likely not going to have a wide range of holsters to choose from.
Another example is something that the industry is currently going through, and that is the use of pistol optics. Optics on handguns isn't new but putting one on your defensive pistol has only really become popular within the last 6 years or so. And it's only the last couple years companies started producing most all their handguns ready to accept an optic. The problem is, if you want to add a pistol optic to your handgun and it didn't come from the factory ready to go, you must send your slide in for milling. If this describes your situation, this is a perfect time to reassess what you want out of your everyday carry gun, because it might make sense to sell your current gun and just purchase a new gun that is ready for an optic.
Assessing Reliability —
Many people use the popular, modern, self defense handgun models from companies such as Glock, SIG Sauer, Smith and Wesson, and Walther, and there is a lot of data out there on general reliability for these models. Every company can produce a lemon, but if you've experienced some reliability issues with increased training, you need to consider fixing it, or ditching it for something else. Here is a post on what we recommend when assessing the reliability of an everyday carry handgun.
Finally —
I'll end the post with my personal story of the first gun I carried concealed and why. The first gun I carried concealed was a .40 Glock 27, that I carried off duty. Our department issued me a Glock .40 Glock 22 for duty and I thought it would be a great idea to carry the same caliber off duty. My wife purchased it for me when I graduated from the Police Academy, so it also had nostalgic value. Even after the department switch from .40 Glock 22s to 9mm Glock 17s, I stuck with the trusty G27.
My reasoning was that I shot it well, but looking back, the real reason probably had less to do with how I shot it and more with my attachment to the gun my wife purchased for me. That, and we have a tendency to stick with what we've always done because, in our minds, changing can feel like we made a mistake at first.
I saw the benefits of carrying something like a Glock 19, but I figured I couldn't comfortably carry or conceal ‘such a big gun'. These justifications kept me tethered to a Glock 27, when in much better options existed. Could I shoot the G27 well, sure. Did it ‘work for me?” of course.
But it wasn't until I set everything aside and really assessed why I carried what I did, I realized better options existed. It took some time to change holsters and such, but switching made my everyday carry experience better in the long run. I wish I would have realized that much sooner in my concealed carry journey.
So, what gun do you carry, and why do you choose that gun?

The fiery crash on a warm Florida evening on July 4, 2012
left an unconscious man trapped in his burning car.
Seemingly out of
nowhere, a figure plunged out of the darkness through a sheet of flames
to rip open the door and carry the driver to safety just moments before
the car exploded. Like a scene from a movie, the Independence Day hero
retreated to the shadows of obscurity, but it wouldn't be the last time
he would help someone in danger.
A modest man, Sabin Barto, doesn't talk much about his 10+ years in
the U.S. Navy. He spends his post-military career selling real estate in
Florida, writing children's books, developing a website devoted to
saving the Everglades' habitat, and getting kids engaged in
environmentalism. He seems like a pretty nice, normal guy, but his
neighbors and friends claim he is a real-life Captain America with
superhero strength and courage. Captain America, because his heroics
always seem to kick in on the 4th of July, or within a few hours
thereof.
On July 3, 2016, in Naples, Florida, Barto witnessed a car crash
while driving home with his daughter from a fireworks celebration with
some friends. As Sabin exited his vehicle to assist the driver and
passengers, a lone female police officer who had been chasing them
arrived on scene. Weapon drawn, she shouted at the passenger who tried
to flee to get on the ground. Surmising that this was a criminal
suspect, Barto saw the driver exit and run, to which he sprang into
action, grabbed the driver and held him on the ground so that the
officer could properly handcuff him after apprehending the passenger.
Barto stayed with the officer until her backup arrived.
Like a superhero, Sabin Barto seems to have a knack for being in the
right place at the right time. That exploding car incident in 2012 took
place right in front of his house.
This all brings to mind the nature of extraordinary heroism, which
often expresses itself in emergencies and difficult circumstances. While
most of us flinch and flee from danger, a few, like the men and women
who make up local police departments across the country, dash headlong
into the jaws of possible death to save a stranger. At a time when we
are compelled to remind people that Blue Lives Matter, it's bracing to
know that American Exceptionalism also finds a home in the muscle,
hearts and minds of Americans like Sabin Barto.

For many people, finding a new
place to move is an exciting thing. It brings happiness to think about a
new house, new interior, new furniture, new room, and all, right? But
practically, it is not as easy as it seems to be.
Finding the right home
for you and your family is a responsibility. You need to consider many
things in mind. For instance, security of your new home and family,
safety of your neighborhood and surroundings etc., are the major
concerns. A safe neighborhood ensures protection of your generations as
you plant your roots there. Your kids would grow up there and your
family would be a part of that community. Therefore, be careful while
you select a neighborhood. (Continued below.....)

(Continued.....)Here are some tools that can help you choose a safe and secure neighborhood:
Check Crime Data of Your City
City data is a website that helps you to gain complete information
about your area, neighborhood and adjacent places. You can analyze crime
situation of your neighborhood using the internet. Review your city or
any other city’s crime data carefully before making a leap.
Check Overall Picture of the City
There are many sources to find out the overall picture of your city.
This includes every important aspect for instance, education,
livability, and cost of living etc. Assess the overall rating of your
neighborhood pragmatically using different websites like Area Vibes.
Besides, talk about it with locals around you as well.
Use Your Smartphone
Life has become easier with smartphone technology. Now you don’t have
to turn on the laptop for your research. Your smartphone apps can offer
you data that you are looking for. There are many apps that offer local
statistics about crime and your city situation. For instance, ‘Crime
and Place’ app is famous for providing GPS tracking, safety
notifications and heat map etc. Check it out for sure!
Go for Home Security Systems
Once you are done with your research and have planned to move to your
new home. Find out a wireless home security system and order the most
suitable package plan for yourself. Arm your alarm system before you
move in, so that you can minimize your risks. Authorities suggest that
you are three times safer at home if you have an active alarm system
working.
Lit Up Your New Home
After shifting to your new neighborhood, take a walk around the place
and make note of the things that should be improved. One of these
things can be your outdoor lighting conditions. Make sure your new home
is well lit with smart bulbs, so that criminals around your area could
be deterred. In a study conducted by students of forensic psychology,
criminals and bad guys repel from brighter places. Brightness increases
their fear of being caught. So, take advantage of this fear and improve
your outdoor lights so that criminals could stay away.
Think about Outdoor Cameras
Even if you live in a highly secure place, risks of violent crimes
could never be eradicated completely. Police therefore recommends new
homeowners, particularly to use home surveillance systems to rid from
such crimes.
I love acknowledging about home security alarm systems, home entry products, surveillance cameras
and security products for the sake of better good to as many people as I
can. Blogs and articles that I have written serve the #1 goal: Help to
protect by literally spreading the word.
Mixed Martial Arts May Very Well Be Great For Your Kids

Mixed Martial Arts Can Be Very Good For Your Kids
While many parents think about what extra curricular activities would
be great for their child, a lot of them never contemplated mixed
martial arts. Mixed martial arts is a good blend of a number of martial
arts such as judo, jujitsu, tae kwon do and karate. They take time to
learn, and before your children can move on, they have to learn the
basics of one. (Continued below............)
Inspired by a recent viral police video... Crowder demonstrates the best (and safest) way to take down inner-city hooligans... like Smooth Manny. Get the LWC Podcast here.
(..........Continued.........)The question you may be pondering is why would mixed martial arts be
beneficial to children? It is an activity that is great for the mental
as well as physical health of those who take part, and that is what your
kids would get. The intensive aerobic sessions can reduce the chances
of your young ones getting cancer, heart disease, obesity and diabetes.
Although it can be good for learning self defense, it does have an
incredible impact on your child's health. When they have just a few
lessons under their belt, you will notice improvement in their self
confidence and leadership skills. As they know how to guard themselves,
they could protect themselves from bullies.
One would assume that a young child that learns mixed martial arts
will become violent but that is certainly not the case. Research has
shown that boys and girls with no self confidence, no training and no
discipline are the ones who start almost all fights at school. As a way
of getting attention, these young children will pick on the weak and
smaller kids. There have been scientific studies that show children with
ADD and ADHD have benefited from learning mixed martial arts. The
training in mixed martial arts entails plenty of repetition, which
actually helps children with ADD or ADHD to stay focused when doing
tasks. This helps them a whole lot later, as the symptoms of the two
disorders are better kept in check.
Generally, any activity that your kid does, whether it is mixed
martial arts or some other sport or activity will have a positive effect
on them. Several research studies have demonstrated that mixed martial
arts can help with a child's mental development and they will not likely
grow up to be violent. Kids learning mixed martial arts will likely
grow up to be model citizens who are dependable and compassionate. Your
young children might like it, and it could be good for them, especially
if they are lacking in self confidence and maturity. Look into the many
gyms to find out what types of programs are offered for boys and girls.
Watch various classes to find out what your young ones think, and what
the trainers are like. This might not be something you want to force on
your kids, but allow them to decide for themselves if they would like to
do it.
Not all children even like recreational activity, not to mention
something like mixed martial arts. It is probably best that your child
does an activity that will not only be pleasurable but will improve
their physical and mental well-being.

Army Physical Fitness Standards
Author
Bryant Towell
Athletics
aren't the only component of being a great soldier, but you'll never
become one at all if you don't meet the Army physical fitness standards.
The United States Army takes physical fitness extremely seriously, and
soldiers have to be in tip-top shape to make it through training. High
physical fitness scores are also essential for soldiers who want to gain
promotions and move up the ranks. Here are the three main components of
the Army physical fitness standards.
Self-Taught calisthenics master Austin Dunham shows you the best exercises to progress toward handstand pushups!
► BLACK FRIDAY DEAL Vista Totally Wireless Earbuds: https://goto.bodybuilding.com/7R5V5
Pushups
Pushups comprise the upper body component of the Army's physical
fitness standards. To perform a proper Army pushup, begin at the top
position with a flat back and fully extended arms. Lower your torso
until your chest touches the floor. Your hands should be placed so that
they are in line with your chest at this bottom position. Once your
reach bottom, push yourself back up and repeat.
To get a perfect 100 score on pushups, you must perform 77
repetitions without stopping. 19 pushups will earn you the minimum 60
points, though such a low score will not bode well for your chances of
advancement with the Army ranks.
Running
Soldiers do a great deal of running at various distances and speeds
throughout their careers. However, the Army's physical fitness test
always involves a two-mile run for time. To get a perfect 100 points on
the run test, you must finish the course in 13:18 or less. The longest
you can take and still pass is 17:00.
The running portion of the test is also the hardest for most
recruits. Army Physical Fitness Standards demand that soldiers have a
great deal of endurance so they can walk, run, hike, and carry equipment
long distances for hours or even days at a time. If you are going to be
taking the APFT, you need to practice running as often as possible.
Sit-ups
The Army also tests abdominal strength and endurance with sit-ups. To
perform a correct sit-up, have a training partner or fellow recruit
hold your ankles in place. Begin with your back flat on the ground and
your hands held clasped behind your head. Keeping your heels on the
ground, sit up until your neck is further forward than the base of your
spine. Lower your torso, and repeat. 82 sit-ups will get you a perfect
score, and you need 29 sit-ups to earn the minimum 60 points.
The sit-ups tend to be the easiest portion of the physical fitness
test for most people, but don't get lazy in your training. You can
quickly build up your abdominal endurance, but you can also quickly lose
it.
A Word on Age and Scoring
The Army Physical Fitness Standards actually include eight different
age-specific scoring guidelines for men. The standards discussed in this
article are the highest - ages 27-31. However, younger recruits still
need to perform nearly as well, and minimum scores are rarely sufficient
for advancement. Those who choose to make the Army a long-term career
will eventually be judged by the 27-31 standards, as well.
