Gift Clubs Of America Present: Live Sports Now On US Sports Net!

Clubs of America — since 1994, the world’s foremost monthly gift club specialist!

Clubs of America is a family business, built the way many other great American companies were built: on a dream and a lot of hard work.
In 1994, Doug and Dirk Doretti had an idea, based on two things that were happening at the time. Book and music clubs were popular; the brothers felt it was a unique way to run a business. And microbreweries were just catching on with the American public; these local brewmasters were not only passionate about their craft, they were producing the very best beers in the country.
So why not a Microbrewery Beer of the Month Club? Inspired, Doug and Dirk jumped right in. And for those tough first years, the brothers lived lean, recruiting family members to help them pack-and-ship the beer club orders.
“It was a struggle, but it was a labor of love. And we were determined to succeed,” says Doug, now CEO. “Our first month’s shipment was only 40 packages. Still, we did our best to keep going, and keep our reputation strong. That was the important thing — we took care of our customers first.”
And in the end, their customers took care of them. Word of mouth brought many more members. Before long the national media began to take notice. The Doretti brothers and their unique company were featured on “Good Morning America” and Fox News TV segments, interviewed for numerous radio broadcasts and written about in a host of major publications such as USA Today and Entrepreneur Magazine. The national exposure helped spur even more rapid growth and the brothers continued to work seven days a week, just to keep up with the orders.
In time, customers asked for more monthly gift clubs — wine, flowers, cigars — and Clubs of America began to take shape. Now, after 18 years in business — with a full staff of dedicated employees and after shipping nearly 3 million gift packages to customers since day one — the brothers could finally relax. Right?

“No way,” says Doug. “We’re as hands-on as ever. We love what we do. We love coming to work every day. We roll up our sleeves and we get involved in bringing the best quality and service to our members. It’s an awesome feeling to know that you’re in the business of making people happy by delivering incredible unique gifts. And we aim to continue doing just that for a very long time!”

How to Jump Higher the Right Way

Hello there Athletes and Warriors!
An age-old goal but still a good one that I get from Athletes all over the world is "How can I jump higher?". Certainly one of the most difficult skills to advance in by totally doable.

The better news is by applying these methods to your training, you will be in a position to increase foot speed, explosiveness, agility and more. While you are soaring with the elites! Check out our guest article for more.

-Coach Nate

How to Jump Higher the Right Way

The two most important keys to jumping higher are your form and workouts. If you don't get these two things correct then you cannot jump higher, and you will likely lose inches off of your vertical jump. Don't miss these two simple things. If you want to jump higher, then there are right ways and wrong ways to do it. The wrong ways will actually make you lose your vertical jump, which is not what you want to do. The right way can get you to improve your vertical from 2-6 inches in less than 45 minutes. I have seen it happen when athletes simply know how to warm up, stretch, and take-off correctly.

There are two things that are crucial to jumping higher, and they are having the correct form and having the right jumping workouts.

When you have the right jumping form, you will use the strength you have in your legs most effectively. And once you are using them most effectively, then you can start to build your jumping muscles to increase your jump even more.

The key to your jumping form is to use your arms correctly. The best way to do this is by practicing with just your arms. I usually start with box jumps which focus on this the most. Stand in front of a large box or platform, and with your feet shoulder width apart, use your entire body (especially your arms) to jump up as high as you can, onto the box.

The Most Comprehensive Vertical Jump Program Available.

Also, when you jump, make sure that you stand tall. Because if you start to lean forward, then too much power will end up pushing you forward instead of straight up. You need most of your power to push you straight up in order to get the most out of your jump.

Lastly, you need to make sure that your jumping workouts are helping you, not hurting you. If you start doing slow movements like squats and stuff, then you can actually lose your vertical jump because it is strengthening the wrong types of muscles. The right types of muscles are fast-twitch muscles which are responsible for quick Science Articles, explosive movements like jumping and sprinting.

So your jumping workouts need to include plyometric exercises like box jumps and depth jumps and squat hops and jump rope exercises. Those exercises will help to build the strength you need in order to increase your jumping power.
