Weight Loss Vs Fat Loss - Yes There is a Difference! And How to Know If You're Metabolically Healthy: New At-Home Test

  • Author Anthony Washington

In order to lose weight, your body must burn more calories than it takes in, but keep in mind that your body needs calories for energy and when you exercise your body needs even more calories. Before I talk about energy, the first thing you must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not the same thing. Just because you lose weight, does not mean you lose fat, and just because you lose fat, does not mean you lose weight. When people talk about losing weight, what the really want to do is lose the excess fat on their body and obtain an attractive figure.

Metabolic Health should be a top priority for everyone, now there's a new easy at-home test kit to give you insights. Save on this at-home A1C test by Biocoach: https://amzn.to/3lJ7R62
Use code HIH5

When you eat, the body uses most of the calories for energy. If you eat more calories than the body uses, it will get stored as fat. If you do not consume enough calories per day you will lose weight, but you will also lose energy. When you do not consume enough energy (calories) for your body, it will start using up your energy stores to make up for the energy deficiency. Unfortunately, the energy stores used is not your stored fat, but instead it's protein and carbohydrates (carbs) that will supply most of the energy (stored fat makes up a very small percentage). Your body will take the protein and carbohydrates from your muscle cells; causing your muscle mass to reduce (say goodbye to that toned attractive look) which forces your metabolism to decrease (a low metabolism = slow or no fat burning). When this happens your body requires less energy to maintain its new lower body weight (remember the body weight is lower because you loss muscle), which is why your body conserves energy by slowing down the metabolism. In other words, the body has adapted to the new lower energy (calorie) intake which means that you will no longer continue to lose weight.

Keep in mind that the weight you had lost in the first place was mostly water weight and you will eventually gain it back in the form of fat, not muscle (in order to get your muscle mass back to the way it was before, you have to work on rebuilding it). When carbohydrates and protein that are already in your body are used as the energy source, your body will lose water weight because both carbohydrates and protein hold water in the cells. In essence, you are dehydrating yourself to lose weight. So yes the scale will go down, but approximately 75% (if not more) of it is water instead of fat. And just so you know, exercising while consuming a small calorie intake just makes the situation worse. This is because when you exercise, you start burning off more energy and the more you workout, the more energy your body needs. I already told you above where the energy comes from, and if you do not give your body the energy it needs, it will just feed on your muscles even quicker now that you are exercising. So eat more food! In addition to this, when you cut down too much on your calorie intake, your body will start storing calories because it doesn't know when you will eat again. The calories that are stored will be stored as fat. So in other words, when your body is storing energy, it's basically storing more fat.

To summarize my point: Not eating enough calories results in muscle loss, dehydration, slower fat burning, and your body will always adapt to a lower calorie intake.

Bottom Line: if you can't maintain that lower calorie intake for the rest of your life, you will gain your weight back when you get tired of starving yourself!

To lose weight properly (burning fat) you must increase your metabolism (weight training) and your need for oxygen (aerobics) while eating enough calories each day (nutritious diet) to give you energy and maintain the protein in your muscles because protein helps build muscles, which indirectly burns fat. This brings up another good point: When you build muscle your weight will increase because your muscles are made up of mostly water, but your body fat percentage will decrease because building muscles increase your metabolism (in other words, muscles way more than fat, but take up less space than fat). So keep in mind that losing body fat can't be measured by a scale; use a measuring tape and also look at yourself in the mirror, and then you will see the true results. One of the best ways to know if you are losing more body fat than water is by using a body fat analyzer.

Make sure that you focus on fat loss not weight loss. Your goal should be to lose weight by burning fat, not losing water from your muscles. Remember this when you choose your weight loss program.

The Secret(s) to a Happy Life and BBcom Featuring: How Do I Get All That Weight Up The Mountain? | Discovery Deadlift Episode 2

  • Author Dr. Sukhraj Dhillon

The Secret(s) to Happy Life

Here is a list of 15 essentials a person should strive to achieve happiness:

  1. GOOD HEALTH - First and foremost is GOOD HEALTH. So take care of Physical and Mental Health problems. If you do not enjoy good health you cannot be happy. Any ailment, however trivial, will deduct from your happiness and make it harder to be happy. While it’s not always possible to “cure” everything, address your physical and emotional needs as best as possible. Some people allow themselves to have lingering pains, or struggles with depression. Take the steps to address it. It will change your entire experience of the world.

  2. A HEALTHY BANK BALANCE - Money cannot buy happiness is true and every billionaire is not happy. However, poverty is stressful; and if you can pay for the basics comfortably - it will remove a lot of that stress from your life. You don’t have to be wealthy, but some amount of financial comfort will prevent the worries about the basics of everyday life. It need not run into millions but should be enough to provide for creature comforts and something to spare for recreation, like eating out, going to the pictures, travelling or going on holidays on the hills or by the sea. So have a few bucks in the bank. Shortage of money can be demoralizing. Living on credit or borrowing is demeaning and lowers one in one's own eyes.

  3. A HOME OF YOUR OWN - Rented premises can never give you the snug feeling of a nest which is yours for keeps that a home provides; if it has a garden space, all the better. Plant your own trees and flowers, see them grow and blossom, cultivate a sense of kinship with them. "God is not found on mountain tops. He lives in cozy homes and within you."

  4. AN UNDERSTANDING COMPANION - Be it your spouse or a friend. If there are too many misunderstandings, they will rob you of your peace of mind. Don’t settle in who you marry. Marriage is the single biggest decision you make, so be picky and marry the right person for you. Don’t rush in because you think it’s “time” or you feel “pressure.” Marry someone you are excited about, who makes you feel amazing, and who is good to you down to their last breath. Don’t compromise or settle on this one - it makes a large part of the mood of your home every single day…why not make it great! It is better to be single than to bicker all the time. Choose your friends and people around you carefully - they will have an effect on your mind and soul.

  5. LACK OF ENVY - Stop comparing with those who have done better than you in life; risen higher, made more money, or earned more fame. Envy can be very corroding; avoid comparing yourself with others. You will become vain and bitter. Because there will always be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Being happy in your own skin is one of the biggest keys to happiness. A lot of unhappiness comes from people believing that they are “less than” because of images they see or messages they ingest. You can be so much happier going all-in on you.

  6. BE OKAY WITH BAD DAYS - Part of living a happy life, is realizing that you won’t be happy 24/7, and being fine with it. You’ll have times of grief, and times of irritation, and times of stress or anxiety…and that’s fine. Accepting that you’re a human with a range of emotions, and seeing every day as a new day, is part of what makes you happy. Self-acceptance of just being human and not too hard on you is massive. “Life isn't burger king. You can't always have it your way.” “Life is a circle of happiness, sadness, hard times, and good times. If you are going through hard times have faith that good times are on the way. The higher the aim, the more struggles.”

  7. DO NOT ALLOW OTHER PEOPLE - to descend on you for gossip and bad mouthing about others. By the time you get rid of them, you will feel exhausted and poisoned by their gossip-mongering. Always remember: "Intelligent people talk about ideas. Average people talk about things. Small people talk about other people. And fools argue."

  8. CULTIVATE SOME HOBBIES – that can bring you a sense of fulfilment, such as gardening, reading, writing, painting, playing or listening to music. Do more things you like! This sounds silly, but there are people who say they used to love painting, but haven’t done it in 10 years! Why? Life gets so busy that the first things we cut are sometimes hobbies - we don’t see them as “essential” or “important,” but they absolutely are when we’re talking about happiness. Make time for things you truly enjoy - it makes life more enjoyable. Going to clubs or parties to get free drinks or to meet celebrities is temporary fun and waste of time.

  9. SEEK OUT THE GOOD – Your mindset and mood are often influenced by what you feed it. This is true of people you surround yourself with, and even the media you ingest. Limit toxic people. Limit toxic headlines/news media, and seek to spend more time/energy with the good. Choose your friends and people around you carefully - they will have an effect on your mind and soul. “A good life is a collection of happy moments. Be happy for this moment this moment is your life.”

  10. HELP OTHERS - If you want to be happy, there is a lot of joy in helping others. Some of what makes life wonderful is feeling useful, helping another without expecting return, and being reminded of your own good fortune (gratitude)…even if that is driving a friend to a doctor’s appointment, or helping a neighbor carry her groceries. Making the world a better place makes you feel better too.

  11. LIVE IN THE PRESENT - Today is a new day, and some people have pasts that are incredibly hard. Live in the present, not in the past…or you’ll be stuck there and miss the great stuff of today. “Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift that is why we call it present.” Live each day as it was your last. Tomorrow is not promised." “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.”

  12. MOVE YOUR BODY - Being able to move your body a bit will keep you happy. There are seniors doing shows where they dance, and young kids running in the yard. You don’t have to be an Olympian to move…just even going for a walk every day, or doing some stretches. Your brain has a way of responding to movement that makes people feel happier. “Life is like riding a bicycle, if you don’t move you fall.”

  13. HAVE NEW EXPERIENCES – Doing something new doesn’t have to be traveling to a distant land - maybe it’s just trying your hand at baking a pie, eating a new type of food you’ve never had, fixing something around the house you never did before, taking a new route for walk, or visiting a small town nearby you’ve never been to. New experiences give us things to look forward to, things to talk about, and bring back some of the curiosity of being a child.

  14. LOVE IN YOUR LIFE - If you have a person who truly loves you in this world, and accepts you for exactly who you are - it will help contribute to your sense of happiness. Even having a pet that loves you can also help this. Love is powerful, and while it isn’t everything, it makes the bad times easier to bear. Being loved, and loving another brings many people great satisfaction and joy.

  15. INTROSPECTION - Every morning and evening, devote 15 minutes to INTROSPECTION. In the morning, 10 minutes should be spent on stilling the mind doing meditation and breathing, and then five in listing things you have to do that day. In the evening or before sleeping, 10 minutes to still the mind again, and five to go over what you had undertaken to do.

Here’re some quotes for you to enjoy!

“Your career, your spouse, and your children are like a three-legged stool of Happiness. The stronger the legs the better is the stability.”

“A good life is a collection of happy moments. Be happy for this moment this moment is your life.”

“Our attitude defines life:

Life is best for those, who just want to live it.

Life is difficult for those, who want to analyze it.

Life is worst for those, who want to criticize it.”

“One of the greatest blessings in the world is to be able to be happy even when things in life are not going the way we planned.”

“Don't wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect. And be happy for this moment; this moment is your life.”

“Never blame any day in your life. Good days give you happiness, bad days give you experience, and the worst days give you a lesson.”

Keto Vs Hitch Fit

Over the last few years many people have jumped on the Keto train using it as a way to drop weight quickly.  There are some major flaws with this style of nutrition. Im going to breakdown Keto vs Hitch Fit and show you an amazing transformation.

Keto-Vs-Hitch-Fit

Keto Vs Hitch Fit

The 1st issue is you have to pull out a majority of your carbs.  When you do this you do drop weight but what kind of weight are you losing?  Are you losing muscle, in many situations yes. Water weight, yes of course. Yes you may lose some fat too but how muscle muscle is sacrificed?  Losing muscle will lower your overall metabolism, which is not good.

The 2nd issue is at some point you will want to have carbs again so the body will rebound especially if you bring them back quickly and bad carbs, its normal for people to gain all their weight back they lost with keto and more.

The 3rd issue is what is called keto flu, some people get this and others do not but the ones that do feel very sick early, it can take a few weeks to get through this. Also make sure to monitor your minerals and vitamins because you are eliminating carbs you will lose some important essentials things for the body.

The 4th issue – A long-term observational study in over 130,000 adults linked animal-based low carb /high fat diets to higher rates of death from heart disease, cancer, and all causes

Are there some benefits to Keto, Yes.. If you have epilepsy it has been found to control seizures it also has been found to help drop blood sugar levels.

Knowing these things and understanding the human body here at Hitch Fit we stick with balanced nutrition so that the body has a variety of different healthy carbs, fats and proteins.  Something that is more lifestyle based.  Each of the macros have essential things that are important for the body so its never good to pull one out for an extended time period.  If you do just understand there is a consequence.   Another huge benefit is looking and feeling your best.. Chad’s results prove this but his testimonial talks about the difference in how he feels.

LESSON #2 Train In Your Gear

 BRIEF

Until you train in your gear, you don’t know how tough an operation can be.

You may be really fit… doing your squats, deadlifts, and everything else in the gym. But when you put your gear on, you have dynamics of restriction.

You have additional weight that you’re not used to dealing with.

But it’s not a weight that you’re lifting anymore.

Now it’s a weight that you’re wearing on your body.

Maybe you have a backpack on and it’s really loose, and it’s swaying back-and-forth as you’re trying to run. Not only do you have to perform the task of running to your objective, but you also have to deal with the forces pulling you side-to-side as you run forward.

The last thing that you want when you’re squatting, running, and jumping, is a bunch of weight shifting around.

Because that’s additional momentum.

When you have additional momentum, you’re wasting energy trying to counterbalance your gear. This makes any task more difficult.

So anytime you can stabilize the load closer and tighter to your body, the task will be easier. Learn more.......

Shana’s Hitch Fit Transformation Story and Review:
I was introduced to Hitch Fit over 10 years ago. I had just had my 4th baby and knew I wanted to get back in shape after my pregnancy. I had lost weight after my 4th baby but struggled to lose the rest of my post-baby weight.
I was searching for something to help me and came across Hitch Fit! I started their Lose Weight Feel Great program and was doing what I felt was awesome shedding that last baby weight, and then the unthinkable happened. My 3-year-old daughter Ava fell seriously ill and a month later she passed away.
I was devastated, lost, and broken…..For the last 10 years, I continue to deal with the grief, but over that time I just stopped caring about myself to put it in simple terms.
I focused my energies on supporting and helping my children who were 10, 5, and 1 at the time through their grief of losing their sister along with my husband and me trying to navigate this new normal in our lives.
Over the last 10 years, my weight fluctuated all the time. I would gain and then lose and then gain and then lose but never really stuck to anything.
This year marked the 10 year anniversary of my daughter gaining her angel wings and I finally decided that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and decided to commit to Hitch Fit once and for all!
I reached out to Diana and Micah and so glad I did as I feel like I am regaining myself again!
I knew it would take commitment and hard work especially with the weight loss goals I had for myself and not to say I didn’t falter once, twice, or many times, but always reminded myself of what my goal was at the end to keep me motivated.
In the beginning, it was HARD! I hadn’t done much exercising or really watching what I ate for a very long time!
The days, in the beginning, were hard, but I wrote my goal on sticky notes and placed them on my mirror to remind me every day of what I wanted and needed for myself.
After a few weeks, everything then started to really become a habit.
The workouts were always challenging as I went along my journey.....Keep reading.......

The Advantage of Being Single Part 2 . And How to deal with carnal desires in a Christian marriage

How to deal with carnal desires in a Christian marriage

  • Author Liliane Binnyuy
A man and a woman become one flesh by the bond of marriage (Math 19.5-6). Once married, the man is the husband and the woman, the wife. Marriage must be between one man and one woman (Gen 2.20-25). Marriage must not be between people of the same blood (Lev 18). The marriage bed must not be defiled (Mat 5.27-28). The marriage must not be dissolved except for sexual immorality or illegitimate marriages (Mat 5.32). The primary purpose of marriage is raising a family unto the glory of God.

  1. Submission and Love in Marriage

Christians, both man and woman, must submit to one another (1 Peter 5.5) and love one another (John 15.12). In the body of Christ, we are all brethren and we submit to Christ, the head.

In Christ, man and woman should submit to one another. In Christ, the man should submit to the woman even if they are married. The body of Christ (God’s family) is bigger than the body of the man (man’s family).

In Christ, man and woman should love one another. In Christ, the woman should love the man as Christ has loved us, even if they are married.

If we love and submit to one another, there will be no need for more laws. Love fulfills the law, even the laws of marriage. Love submits to and serves another. Love respects another. Love shows affection. Love is not selfish.

Due to the weakness of the human nature (little ability to love), emphasis must be made in the key areas of marriage:

As for you, let each one love his wife as himself, and let the wife respect her husband" (Ephesian 5.33).

The husband, because he is head, must be obeyed by the members of his household. The respect of obedience or submission is gained by one’s position, not by his deeds. Even bad husbands must be obeyed. A bad king must always be obeyed as king even if he is bad. In marriage, the wife submits to (obeys) the husband (Eph 5.22).

The husband, because he is the head, must love the members of his household. The elder serves the younger. He who is the greatest is the servant of all (Mat 23.11). Respect can be obedience or admiration. Obedience is earned by one’s position, but admiration is earned by love (sacrificial and affectionate love). The man wins the admiration of his household by love.

A couple that obeys the law of Christ, will satisfy the law of marriage. Both submits to one another as commanded by Christ and both love one another as commanded by Christ. Humility and selflessness is the garment of all Christians whether man or woman. The wife will always feel loved and respected and the husband too will feel respected and loved. The law of Christ is meant to bring all men (whether man or woman) to the complete image of Christ.

In the flesh, the woman is more inclined to receive love and the man more inclined to receive respect. However, our bond in Christ is higher than all fleshly bonds and we should let ourselves to be ruled by the bond we have in Christ. The life of the spirit should prevail above the flesh.

The Lord Jesus submits to the Father in all things. The church submits to the Lord in all things. The brethren in church (both man and woman) submits to one another in all things. In marriage, the wife should be quicker to submit to the husband because he is the head of the body. The entire church should submit to earthly authorities in all matters that do not contradict the will of God.

The Heavenly Father loves the son; the son loves his bride (church), the church must love another as Christ has loved us. In marriage, the husband should be quicker to love to his wife. The entire church should love their unbelieving neighbors.

  1. The Curse of Adam and Eve in marriage

God punished Adam and Eve for their sin of disobedience in the garden of Eden. Adam would toil to get bread for his family. Eve would suffer birth pangs when bringing forth her children and she would still desire her husband. Do these curses affect our marriages? If they do, can we be set free?

Adam’s curse:

Before the fall, the earth tilled and watered itself to bring forth food for man but after the fall, it stopped. Man began toil to get food. Man is the breadwinner of his home. He must till the soil and bring out food for his family. The curse was true and binding until the coming of the Lord Jesus, the last Adam. All who are in Christ are free from the curse.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep (Psalm 127.2).

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Mat 6.33).

Though the earth no longer tills itself, the LORD blesses the handwork of his children. They do not have to toil as much as the sinners do to get food.

If we pursue obedience and faith in God, he will meet our daily needs.

Eve’s Curse:

Eve was cursed with pain in childbearing. Can a woman be free from this pain?

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mat 9.23).

All things are possible to those who believe in the Son of God. You can have a pain free delivery if you believe without doubting in your heart.

  1. Self-Control of the pleasures of Manhood

The church of Corinth faced carnal issues on sex and self-control. Apostle Paul gave his opinion (not God’s commandment) on how to tackle their problems (1 Corinth 7). He said;

  1. Since the people have strong desire (lust)for sex

  2. Since sexual immorality is rampant among them

  3. Since they lack self-control

They should:

  1. Marry than burn

  2. They should not refuse one another in bed

  3. They should not stay away apart from each other for a long time except for prayers.

They should do these so that the devil will not tempt them to sin because of their lack of self-control. Still, he would wish that all believers will remain unmarried as he were so that they can give themselves entirely to the Lord.

Paul’s advice was directed to a carnal church. The church of God is not supposed to be carnal. There is no other word that can be given to a carnal church except that they stop being carnal. As the church, they must do away with their strong sexual desire and lack of self-control.

Apostle Paul’s counsel is an opinion, not based on God’s word and thus, it is not the standard for the church to follow. The word of God on the matter was for them to stop being carnal. If they crucify their flesh, they will no longer be tempted by it. They should deal away with the lust and lack of self-control in their hearts. Marriage, frequent sex, not refusing your spouse in bed, as Paul suggested, will not treat the lust in their heart. People must not marry for sexual gratification, nor must they give themselves to sex nor burden their spouses with it. Unrestrained bodily desire is not a fruit of the spirit of Christ but of the flesh. The fruit of the spirit of Christ is self-control and selflessness. The life of the spirit of Christ can strengthen us to control our sexual desires.

God created air, food, water, sex, etc. for survival of humanity. He did not create only these things, but he also created human appetite for them. The primary purpose of the appetite was not for enjoyment but to enable us to do them. It is not easy to eat, drink or sex if you do not have the desire or appetite.

To the best of my knowledge, female animals, including the woman, go on heat during ovulation. Ovulation is a natural time where a female desires sex for pregnancy. During ovulation, the woman desires sex without any stimulation from the man. The female animal does not accept a male animal no matter the extent of his appeal except when she is on heat. Women were not created as sex objects to satisfy the men. They are created to bear forth children to the glory of God.

The man’s sexual desire is usually stronger than that of the women because he is by nature created to ensure continuity of his lineage. However, both men and women should exercise self-control over all bodily appetites and watch against self-indulgence, lest we become slaves to our own human desires.

We cannot put a thump rule on how many times sex is appropriate, but we can say that we must keep in mind the purpose why God created sex and regulate ourselves accordingly.

He who loves the world makes himself an enemy of God (James 4.4). The things of the world (1 John 2.16) are:

The desires of the eyes

The desires of the flesh (the human nature)

The pride of life

It is a sin to live to self-pleasure rather than to live for God. Do not set your mind on enjoying sex, rather set your mind on things of heaven.

If you are in a marriage that is not very sexual, instead of working to increase the sexual satisfaction, drive your energy towards self-control, love for your spouse and the things of the Spirit of Christ.

If you are in a marriage that is not at all sexual, and your spouse will not respond to you, you must not think of divorce, but run to Christ for grace to deny self and to stay married. You are in a difficult marriage, and you are more vulnerable to temptation. The Lord Jesus can strengthen us to deny self and win over the flesh.

  1. Self-control of the pleasures of Womanhood

We must watch over our hearts not to be overtaken by the pleasures or cares of womanhood (Luke 21.34). Women, by nature, desire attention, affection, romance, love & emotional intimacy from the male spouse. While we are aware of these natural tendencies, we must remember that we are to live after the spirit of Christ and not after the human nature. We must be careful not to live for these natural or carnal desires, rather pursue God’s desire. Women must be careful not to make their husbands slaves to their desires. In Christ, we are all free. A woman who pursues much intimacy with her husband will scarcely have her mind on God. We can enjoy these things, but we must be careful not to run after them. Our happiness must not depend on them. A true disciple of the Lord is one who carries a cross of self-denial. The woman should by the power of the spirit of Christ, bring her natural tendencies to control.

If you are in a marriage where your spouse does not give you time or attention, do not think of leaving the marriage. If your marriage is emotionally unsatisfactory, and your spouse will not repent, you cannot divorce, rather run to Christ, for the grace to deny self. The solution will not necessarily be for your spouse to spend more time with/on you, rather, you should deny self and redirect your heart to God. If much of your heart and mind is set on your marriage, you will never be available for God. By the power of the spirit, if you want, you can be an eunuch for the kingdom of God.

College Football Roundup on US Sports Net Presented By CoachTube Featuring: Alabama vs Texas A&M Highlights (Texas A&M vs Alabama) | 2021 College Football Highlights. Texas A&M and Alabama played in Week 6 of the 2021 College Football Season.

Always have a plan to play your best 11

You are always in a better situation if you have your best 11 on the field.

Depth charts are great, and in the course of a single game, a second teamer will most likely play, but what do you do in the case of an injury?  How does the next most dynamic defender get on the field if one of your starters goes down?

What tools do you have or how does your structure accommodate a change?

For example, let’s say there is an injury to your starting end and your next most dynamic guy is an undersized outside linebacker.

He clearly gives you more than the next end.  Do you have something structurally that allows you to get him on the field more?

It’s something to think about now.  Always understanding who your best 11 are trumps a depth chart in many situations.

Let’s use the example of a four down team.

I saw a team using multiple outside linebackers (a 4-3 team).  They were alternating during the course of a game.  Then the defensive end went out.  He was clearly one of their best defenders.

Just based on watching the next player run in for him, I saw a big drop off and fortunately for them, the injured defensive end was back in the next series.

Receiver Catching Ball

The question becomes what can the defense do to adapt and keep the best 11 on the field?

RPI Defensive Coordinator Jeff Dittman had to handle a similar situation. Needing something different in the middle of the season, he found a way to add an odd front into their four down defensive system on the fly.

This didn’t require major overhauls.  He kept it simple and it proved very effective.

Coach Dittman used various odd front alignments while keeping the thought process the same for his defenders.

“Bama” allows Dittman to get his defense into the “mint” front which utilizes 4i’s.  Many coordinators like this to shut down inside zone teams because it forces the ball wide instead of downhill. Read more.......
