• Post-surgery

There is not a lot of exact knowledge about why people develop chronic pain. But, I want to give you my opinion on the subject. What to do:

There are many questionable research findings out there, in the multi-billion dollar Mobile telephone industry that markets their products not only to adults, but to children as young as 8 years old. If you compare independent studies versus research funded by industry, you will find a big discrepancy. What many doctors and researchers have learned about the biological effects of cell phones has been toned down by the major players and corporations who want to protect the image of their product. Scientific research has interfered with the corporate drive for profits.



A review of over 250 published studies worldwide reveals a significant discrepancy in results between independent research and the studies directly funded by the industry. Research is considered independent when funded by governments, government agencies, or academic institutions. Out of the 250 reports, 145 independent studies show biological effects including: headaches, dizziness, lack of concentration, fatigue, compromised immune function, poor sleep, decreased effectiveness of therapeutic drug treatment, and decreased mental and physical well-being. These effects were found 81% of the time. In contrast, when the industry is funding the research, effects are found only 19% of the time. I believe that many of these scientists are compelled into reaching positive conclusions. Their source of funding depends on it. When independent research has shown biological effects or hinted at health risks, they have faced severe industry criticism. One problem is replicating their results. Researchers do not carry credibility unless another lab is able to duplicate the findings. However, if the studies are not conducted identically, there is room to dispute the conclusions. Results may also be interpreted differently. It is only after years of similar continuous data that the scientific community accepts these findings as accurate. This gives the industry room to claim that there is no evidence proving health risks. In the mean time, cellular usage continues to grow dramatically.

It took years for governments globally to issue warnings about Tobacco and Asbestos. These deadly threats were only proven after decades of research. Even when the health risks were known, the industry downplayed the results until well into the 1980's. It was not until 1997 that the United States Tobacco companies agreed to multi-billion dollar funding of healthcare costs due to smoking-related illnesses. A similar story ensued in the Asbestos industry. Cancer was identified in asbestos workers back in 1964. It took until 1999 for the European Union and France to ban all forms of asbestos. Sugary foods sure do taste good, but the only good they are doing is electrifying your taste buds. The ugly truth about sugar is it causes weight gain, high cholesterol levels, cardiovascular disease and even affects your mental awareness. Even worse, sugar is a big factor when it comes to tooth decay and periodontal disease. We're marking up sugar to be the bad guy, because it is!

Of course, you cannot cut sugar completely out of your life. It exists in plenty of processed foods, not just in candy and sodas. You'd have to go cold-turkey on a lot of your favorites, including cereals, saucy foods, potato chips and especially ice cream. Even healthier options like apples and citrus fruits have a high sugar concentration. Sugar is bountiful in our diets, but if you cut down the sugar intake, your oral and overall health will both see a huge difference!

How to Cut Back on Sugar

Cutting down on sugar is pretty easy if you think about it. You control what type of foods and drinks go into your mouth after all. So, let's take a look at some of the most common sugar fiends that exist.

Let's start with sodas! Sodas make the most sense. Let's look at their sugar concentration. In a regular 12oz. can, most sodas have anywhere between 30-50g of sugar. That's a lot! Cutting out sodas completely may cause you to go through withdrawal symptoms including anxiety, so medical experts believe a greater alternative is to start cutting your soda intake by half in moderation until soda is no longer something you're drinking on a needless basis.

What's wrong with sport drinks? Unless you're an active athlete, you don't need to be drinking sport drinks day in and day out. While they may have a high number of electrolytes, it also has plenty of sugar. Sport drinks are meant to get athletes through their sport, and you'll often see them drink plenty of water too. If you have a sport drink regularly without combining it with physical activity, it could lead to weight gain and sensitive teeth.

Say goodbye to processed foods! Amongst the many things in your diet, cookies, cakes, pastries and breakfast cereals are notorious for their high sugar concentration. For better or worse, the only benefits these foods provide is a sugar rush that'll have you craving sugar throughout the rest of the day. There's plenty of other options you can try instead that're just as fulfilling, including oat foods, unsalted raw nuts and fruit-based snacks.

Throw away the candies and sweets! One thing that we've grown accustomed to is a limitless supply of candy. Candy tastes good, and we keep plenty of it near us for satisfying our taste buds. That's terrible! If you're a candy lover, not only are you exposing your teeth to dangerous sugar amounts, but you're ruining your sense of taste! Start cutting back on the amount of candies you eat and focus more on fresh fruits, sugar-free gum and even dark chocolate.

Ways Your Teeth Benefit from Less Sugar Consumption


 Our teeth are very important to us and cutting down on sugar is perhaps one of the greatest things we can do for them. When you consume sugar, the millions of bacteria in your mouth feed on it, breaking it down into an acid that eats at our teeth. As a result, it can cause tooth decay. The funny part is, sipping from a 12oz. can is worse than chugging down a 2-liter bottle as you're exposing your teeth to sugar longer, letting bacteria do its finest work inside your mouth.

So, by cutting down on sugar you can stop tooth decay! Other things that can help prevent tooth decay alongside cutting down your sugar consumption is chewing sugar-free gum to promote salivation, brushing your teeth before breakfast and after dinner, and flossing to clean the other half of your teeth a toothbrush can't reach.

Sugary foods also cause teeth discoloration. It's embarrassing to have yellow or brown teeth, especially since your smile is the biggest first impression you can make with anyone, beating out other factors such as body language, appearance and quality of speech. Teeth staining is largely due to sugary drinks, coffee and tea. Moreover, soft drinks also cause cavities, which can turn your teeth black. By cutting down sugar in your diet, you can stop your teeth from turning into weird colors.

Your significant other will love this too! If you cut down on sugar, you'll have better breath! All those acids that are a result of sugar consumption actually smell, and it's easy to tell. To see just how bad your breath smells after drinking a soda, wait 30 minutes and lick the palm of your hand, then smell it. You'll definitely notice a difference!

Lastly, you'll feel a difference in your oral health. Your teeth will feel healthier, stronger and not as sensitive, it'll feel like weight has been lifted off of your teeth.

As a final note, you don't have to cut our sugar completely, just consume less sugar than you have been. Sugar itself is everywhere and is near impossible to avoid. However, so long as you take the initiative to eat and drink less sugary foods you should be just fine. This also includes that you brush your teeth, floss, use mouthwash and visit the dentist on a bi-annual basis to get your cleanings done.

Protect your skin from the inside by improving your diet. This won't completely remove wrinkles however your skin the largest organ in the body and diet will play a large part in overall health.

The toxic by-products of energy production are called free radicals. They are chemicals with an unpaired electron absorbed into the body. Once there, they react with any structure in a cell, causing damage in the form of mutations leading to gene malfunction. Vital functions can be altered due to these malfunctions.

Rigid, fragile and leaky cells can be the result of damage caused by free radicals that penetrate the cell membrane.

Antioxidants protect the cells from free radicals. A diet rich in antioxidants is great protection from the damage done by these free radicals. Lycopene, found in red fruits and vegetables is a powerful antioxidant, as are flavonoids and carotenoids. You can find these in herbs and vegetables such as spinach, asparagus, peaches, apricots, cabbage, onion, dill, garlic, lima beans, basil and others. And don't forget the tea. Lightly cooked, fresh or raw is a great way to benefit from anti-oxidants.

There are foods associated with keeping smoother skin that has less wrinkles. Eating these foods doesn't guarantee wrinkles will disappear or never appear, but there is a correlation between eating them and having fewer wrinkles. Mono-unsaturated fat, olives and olive oil, fatty fish like sardines and salmon, reduced fat milk, eggs, nuts & legumes, and the previously mentioned foods high in flavonoids and carotenoids all result in healthier skin. Wrinkles can be the result of the counterparts such as saturated fats, sweets, sodas, butter, margarine, potatoes and meat.

Drinking plenty of fluids, especially water, is another way to keep youthful skin. Although staying hydrated is good for the skin it does not necessarily help with wrinkling as wrinkles occur in the dermis as the result of the sebaceous glands producing too little sebum, the skin becomes dry and more apt to wrinkle. What drinking water does is keep the blood circulating well and cleans the pores by allowing sweat to flow freely. Water also helps with metabolism.


As for hydrating the skin from the outside there are excellent creams and lotions available. The very best of them, penetrates into the dermal layer to help stimulate the natural production of collagen.

FDA plagued by lack of training and oversight during opioid crisis, report says A newly released report says the Food and Drug Administration may have failed to set strict enough standards and follow-through for training doctors about the risks associated with opioids. Activated Charcoal Medicinal Uses

Activated charcoal is a small black substance created from coconut shells, wood chips, or nut shells. It is created by burning these substances in a climate that is without the presence of oxygen. Once the chemical process is completed the activated charcoal is able to bind to and absorb substance much greater than the size of the particle. For centuries natural charcoal has been used for the treatment of ailments and injuries. However, activated charcoal is the now the number one treatment of poisonings and overdoses. It is a very effective means of treating these unfortunate conditions.




Chemical Poisoning Uses

Every year thousands of children suffer from ingestion of chemical products in the home. These products can range from floor cleaners to hair dyes. Once ingested these products can work like an acid and cause permanent damage or even death to humans. However, by ingesting activated charcoal these substances can be absorbed very quickly before too much damage is done. Activated charcoal is safe for human consumption and has very few side effects when ingested. The most common side effect is constipation which is much better than the alternative damage that can be suffered. It is now possible for parents to buy tablets or granules of activated charcoal and keep it in the home in case of an emergency.

Cancer has many causes but the main one is the food we eat everyday. Many years ago we were all consuming a diet of mainly alkaline food but today that has changed and so has the rate of cancer. Unfortunately most doctors won’t inform you on the correct food to stay free of cancer and more importantly what to eat to assist the body to remove it naturally.

The foods we eat these days contain both acid and alkalinizing forming elements. A diet of mainly acid forming food can contribute to an onset of cancer and the typical western diet or the standard American diet nowadays is mostly acidic. If you are fighting cancer you need to balance the body's pH level because cancer will thrive in an acidic environment whereas an alkaline environment will remove cancer.

We are seeing more cancer today than ever before and it’s because of the typical western diet is far too high in acid producing foods such as animal products which include dairy products. Also it’s far too low in the foods we use to eat like freshly grown fruit and vegetables so the simple solution is to correct an overly acidic body by make some dietary changes.

The alkaline acid ratio is measured on the pH scale which ranges from 0 to 14 with 7 being neutral. The lower end of the scale which is from 0 to 7 being acidic and anything between 7 to 14 being more alkaline. The easiest way to find out what foods are either alkaline or acid is to look on the internet as there are plenty of sites with easy to read and valuable information.

While a diagnosis of cancer may have other contributing factors the food we eat now is the main one. Many years ago before we had supermarkets we were eating a healthier diet but now because of processed foods and the popularity of fast food outlets our diets have changed. A diet of food from an acidic range is causing many health problems now and cancer is just one of them.

For instance many of our foods are refined and most of our breads and other baking are made from refined white flour. Some other examples of acid forming foods are; pasta, cheese, ice cream and butter, jams and jellies, alcohol and soft drinks. All acid forming foods are not necessary bad, it’s just our diet is out of balance and if you are dealing with any serious health problem it’s essential to look carefully at what you are eating.

Some of the alkaline foods are; fresh fruit and nearly all freshly grown vegetables. Also consuming, nuts, seeds, grains and legumes are all alkaline foods. It’s important to remember that the changes you make to a more alkaline diet have many health benefits including removing cancer naturally.

While cancer has some other contributing factors the most influential cause is what we eat everyday because our health is directly related to our dietary choices. Our diet has changed over the last 50 to 60 years and most of what we eat now is available in supermarkets and supermarkets have an overwhelming influence on what we now buy. Much of what’s available in supermarkets is processed and because of it, this food is low in nutritional value and that is without question the reason why there is so much cancer now.

It makes a lot of sense if you are dealing with cancer that the first and the most important change you make is with the food you eat and that you select from a more alkaline range. Also make sure it’s fresh and that it has had minimal interference by man.
