Reason being is, cancer cells primary fuel is glucose (sugar) and non-cancerous cells have the ability to use glucose or fat to lose weight. And because most people's diet consists of processed foods and sugar, it blocks the body's ability to burn fat and get rid of the sugar which allows the cancer cells to gain more power. So, by switching to something like the ketogenic diet with it’s intermittent fasting it allows your body to to burn off the excess sugar and fat helping to create a more cancer free environment within.
