Creflo Dollar Ministries Featuring: Unfulfilled Part 2 and What’s wrong with pornography

Brandon Bentley was introduced to porn on TV and Playboy, on such a regular basis that it became his ritual. He grew up dreaming about sex. He lost his virginity when he was 16, and she was the first of over 100 encounters. Despite Brandon’s obsession with sex, he really just wants a steady relationship with a woman who really cares about him. Can Dr. Dollar speak into his life?

Q: What’s wrong with pornography From KCM

A:

“Pornography encourages people to treat one another as objects or pleasure-giving machines,” says Dr. James Dobson, founder of “Focus on the Family,” which has published several excellent articles on the effects of pornography. “It plants the seeds of alienation and leads to unhealthy relationships and the loss of individual self-respect…. Pornography is addictive and progressive, and it creates a passion for fantasy, which destroys the passion of reality. The use of obscene materials leads to perversions and conflict between husbands and wives.”
The Bible is clear that the lust of the flesh left unchecked will bring sin and sin’s consequences (James 1:14-15). Research reveals that 77 percent of child molesters of boys and 87 percent of child molesters of girls admitted imitating the sexual behavior they had seen modeled in pornography. Rape rates are highest in states which have high sales of sex magazines and little enforcement of pornography laws. (Research by Charles Keating of Citizens for Decency Through Law, sociologists Murray Straus and Larry Baron, and psychotherapist David Scott.)
So how does one stop using pornography?
The first step in walking free is to repent before the Lord and ask for His help. You can do this by simply saying a prayer from your heart:
“Father, I sinned against You and right now I choose to turn away from that sin and leave it behind me. I ask Your forgiveness for my sin, and by faith I receive cleansing from all sin by the blood of Jesus. I receive Your empowerment to live a holy life right now, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!”
Next, realize you have been given the power to stay free. First John 5:4-5 says, “For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” God’s grace is supernatural empowerment for you to live a holy life (1 Corinthians 10:13; 2 Corinthians 12:9). If the pressure to engage in pornography seems to overwhelm you again, understand that you have the ability to turn your heart to God and ask for His help. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
James 4:6-8 tells us when we humble ourselves before the Lord, He gives us the power and authority to resist the devil and watch him flee! Always remember that through Christ Jesus you are an overcomer, and when you resist the temptations and lies of the enemy, he must flee!
