Kenneth Copeland Ministries Featuring: Air Force Colonel Pete Ford Shares How God Promotes and Stake Your Claim

Kenneth Copeland Ministries Partner and Retired Air Force Colonel Pete Ford shares how God promotes. During his 26-year career in the military, he saw how the best kind of promotion came when he drew closer to the Lord. While he admits that someone can work hard in their own right and earn promotion, he found that promotion from God comes more naturally and with greater joy. [Video and more below] Colonel Ford came to know the Lord at a young age, and he remembers listening to teaching by Kenneth Copeland as a child. His own father was a minister. Colonel Ford expected that he would follow in his father’s footsteps and enter into the ministry, but the Lord had other plans for him in the field of military aviation. His first airplane flight happened when he flew to Colorado Springs to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy. He admits that initially he joined the Air Force as a way to receive a quality education, but in time, promotion came and with it great sense of purpose. He knew God’s hand was on him. During his career in the Air Force, Colonel Ford flew eight or nine tours and five combat tours in the Middle East. He was then promoted to an instructor position. In time, he learned that promotion was secondary to pursuing the presence of God. “Being promoted into His presence is real promotion,” he says. “That’s real joy.” Watch Colonel Pete Ford talk about how God promotes and why His promotion is the best kind. Stake Your Claim

Psalm 112:1, 3

I'll never forget the time Gloria discovered that scripture. We didn't have any money at the time, and the walls in our house were as bare as they could be. But she was ready to decorate. So she took that promise, "Wealth and riches shall be in his house" and laid claim to it by faith.
Suddenly, everywhere we went, someone was giving us a painting or some other little treasure for our house.
Unfortunately, most believers aren't as quick to believe God for that kind of thing as Gloria was. Some even claim God doesn't promise us New Testament believers physical prosperity, just spiritual. But the truth is, you can't separate the two. That's why Jesus says, "If you'll seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these [material] things will be added to you." He knows the spiritual realm and the material realm are connected.
The physical world cannot operate independently from the spiritual world. What happens in one is simply a reflection of what happens in the other.
Obviously, your spiritual standing profoundly affects your financial standing. That's why, when you get hold of the gospel and begin to prosper spiritually, you can begin to prosper physically and materially as well.
Don't let anyone talk you out of God's promises of prosperity. You don't have to choose between financial and spiritual prosperity. Both belong to you. Lay claim to them by faith. As a born-again child of God, dare to reach out and receive the riches that belong to you!
