Dr. Myles Munroe - Solutions To All Your Financial Problems and Diplomatic Notes

EVALUATING AND SELECTING ELECTED OFFICAILS (POLICITICANS AND CANDIDATES)
Determine what the candidates personal philosophy and beliefs are beyond what his/her party says (their position) on the issues.
Have they (politician and party) delivered on their last promises, if not why?
What is their position on moral, social or spiritual issues and are their positions compatible with yours?
Measure their words or plans against stated objectives and actual accomplishments (make sure and record/document promises for future comparison) Did they live up to their word? If not ask why and take note before allowing them the opportunity to give another word. Are they transparent. Can you get a straight honest answer or do they ask you to trust them while not giving you information you requested.
Do they purposefully withold information. What is their track record in leadership. Have they been decisive and true to their word?

Do their policies make your life better in the short or long term?
Have their current policies negatively impacted you?
What are their convictions and do theirs line up with yours (ask specific questions)?
Ask very specific questions: for example do you believe in (blank and you fill in the blank)
Do they know how to prioritize (place most important items as the focus of their agenda)
Have they outlined a vision with specific plans that they can be judged on when in office
Do critics and opposition parties present a viable alterative that is documented and which they can be judged by and evaluated upon (every potential leader should a written vision).

DIPLOMATIC NOTE 1 - CHRISTIANS AND POLITICS
A popular notion has existed for years that Christians should stay far away from politics and leave it up to others to govern the country. It is speculated that this concept arose out the the scriptural admonitions to "Come out from among them and be separate" and to be "In the world but not of it". There are several other scriptures that make reference to a form of separation emphasizing the fact that earth is not the permanent home of believers. We are called "pilgrims" and "sojourners" who are not to get bogged down in earthly affairs. However entrenched this thinking is I believe it is erroneous and perhaps even dangerous.
If we understand what the word politics means i believe it would cause an immediate change in perspective for the average Christian. Let's begin by examining the definition of politics:
Definition of Politics - Politics (from Greek: πολιτικός politikos, definition "of, for, or relating to citizens") is the process of
making uniform decisions applying to all members of a group. It also involves the
use of power by one person to affect the behavior of another person. More narrowly, it refers to achieving and
exercising positions of governance - organized control over a human community, particularly a state. Furthermore, politics is the
study or practice of the distribution of power and resources within a given community (a usually hierarchically organized population) as well as the interrelationship(s) between communities.
Let's focus on the underlined items
Making uniform decisions applying to all members of a group.
Use of power by one person to affect the behavior of another person.
Exercising positions of governance - organized control over a human community, particularly a state.
Study or practice of the distribution of power and resources within a given community.

If someone is making decisions that will apply to all members of a group it would make sense to me that the persons affected be involved in the decision making process or at least have input. The second point is that politics causes power to be exercised that will affect the behavior of another person. If the use of power by those in authority can affect our behaviour it seems reasonable for those who would be possibly affected to have a voice, especially if we are talking about a democracy. The third point is "organized control over a human community". If politics can mean the organized control over a human community should that human community not have a voice and input over the policies implemented by those in control. In other words should we be victims or participants. The final point is arguably the most important, the distribution of power and resources. Power and resources are the most critical elements in the survival of any nation. As we look around the world it is clear that there is no shortage or resources but the persistent problem is who controls the resources and how those resources are distributed. Whoever is in power controls distribution so again, righteous and good people who live by Christian principles are best suited to distribute equitably so these persons should be in positions of power to ensure best practices and fairness.
The last time i checked Christians live on the same planet in the same cities and are affected by the same policies as everyone else so it would stand to reason for me that we should have input and involvement in the decision making and governance of the countries we live in. To take it further the Bible states that, "When the righteous are in power the people rejoice". How can we have righteous government if righteous people decide to stay on the sidelines. My conclusion is that Christians should get involved on all level of politics. Once we agree that Christians should be involved in politics the next question is how should we be involved and what is the most effective means of involvement.
In our next edition we will examine the questions:
Should Pastors, Priests and leaders of Churches run for political office?
How would this affect members and would it result in polarization?
How can Christians be most effective in the political arena.

Keys to Relationship and Marriage Success
Most people who get divorced sincerely love each other. Most people who have affairs love their spouse. If this is the case why are marriages suffering infidelity, strife and pain. The answer is an age old axiom, "My people are destroyed because of a lack of Knowledge". What you don't know will and has already hurt you. Dr. Dave and Angie Burrows explain through knowledge, experience and spiritual insight the keys to success they have learned in over 30 years of marriage. Using practical examples spiced with relevant scriptural and spiritual insights you will learn true and tested principles that are guaranteed to bring you success if you follow and practice these principles. Already there have been testimonies worldwide that validate these important insights and we believe that you too will experience these benefits as you study and appropriate these keys to your marriage and relationships.

Bowie State U Hoops Vs. Chowan. Men's and Women's Results

Bulldogs’ Men’s Basketball Defeat Feisty Chowan Hawks 68-63

BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State Bulldogs men’s basketball kept the 2,058 in attendance on the edge of their seats all night and defeated the Chowan Hawks 68-63 on Wednesday in BSU’s A.C. Jordan Arena. Bowie State improves its CIAA North record to 2-1, 4-5 in conference play and 9-11 overall.

Senior Omari George (Baltimore, Md.) led Bowie State with a team-high 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and sophomore teammate Saiquan Jamison (Upper Marlboro, Md.) pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds in the victory to go along with eight points. Freshman Justin Route (Washington, D.C.) made his first start of the year and finished the game with eight points (tying his season-high), tied for team-high assists honors with three, accounted for a team-high three steals and had one block.

Senior Dayshawn Wells (Baltimore, Md.) tallied seven points while sophomores David Belle (Hyattsville, Md.) and Cameron Hayes (Upper Marlboro, Md.) chipped in four points each for Bowie State. Sophomore Yohance Fleming (Bowie, Md.) made his first court appearance of the season and came off the bench to score four points to go along with three rebounds, a block and a pair of steals.

Bowie State’s Bulldogs trailed only once in the game at the 8:26 mark of the first half after a Hewitt 3-pointer, giving the Chowan Hawks an 18-15 lead.

Bulldogs senior Ahmaad Wilson (Baltimore, Md.) answered on the other end with a triple of his own, tying the score at 18-all. The lead would change hands five times over the next few minutes until a Route jumper at the 3:01 mark shifting the advantage over to Bowie State for good at 26-25.

Tim Hewitt poured in a game-high 30 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the floor and 12-of-14 at the charity stripe to lead Chowan (7-10, 2-6 CIAA, 1-2 North). Hewitt also led the Hawks on the glass with six rebounds in 40 minutes of play. Gus Rowland and Robert Gibbs were responsible for 11 and 10 points respectively for the Hawks.

As a team, Chowan finished the game shooting 46.3 percent from the field (19-of-41), 29.4 percent behind the 3-point line (5-of-17) and 76.9 percent at the free throw line (20-of-26).

Bowie State made 25-of-53 field goals (47.2 percent), 5-of-18 beyond the arc (27.8 percent) and 13-of-18 (72.2 percent) at the free throw line. The Bulldogs out-rebounded the Hawks 34-25, held a 32-18 advantage in the paint, a 21-16 points off turnovers advantage and BSU’s bench outscored CU’s bench 17-6.

Bowie State men’s basketball hit the road this weekend, making a stop at nationally ranked Virginia State University for a 4 p.m. tipoff in the Multipurpose Center on the VSU campus. This game will be nationally televised on the Aspire Network.

Chatman’s Career Night Helps Bowie State Ground Chowan Hawks 71-63

BOWIE, Md. – Graduate student Sade Chatman (Minneapolis, Ind.) scored a career-high 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting and hauled down a game-high 11 rebounds to help the Bowie State Bulldogs ground the Chowan Hawks 71-65 in a key CIAA Northern Division matchup on Wednesday evening. With the win, Bowie State improves its season mark to 13-5 overall, 6-3 in league play and 1-2 in the CIAA North.

Freshman Talanya Hutton (Seat Pleasant, Md.) came up the Bulldogs bench to record a career-high 13 points via a perfect 5-of-5 shooting from the field and senior Ty-Nita Baker (Houston, Miss.) tallied 10 points to go along with a game-high four assists. Senior Kyah Proctor (Capital Heights, Md.) finished with eight points while fellow senior Kiara Colston (Burtonsville, Md.) wrapped up the night with seven points. Colston is 10 points away from joining the Bowie State Bulldogs’ 1,000 Point Club. Sophomore Kyaja Williams (Baltimore, Md.) rounded out Bowie State’s scorers with six points to go along with nine rebounds off the bench.

Bowie State held a 14-6 advantage after the first quarter. The Bulldogs made 10-of-25 first half field goals (40 percent) compared to 7-of-33 (21.2 percent) for Chowan and Bowie State carried a 33-18 lead into halftime. Of Bowie State’s 33 first half points, 23 came from the Bulldogs bench.

The Bulldogs maintained a double-digit lead most of the third quarter with its largest lead of 16 coming at the 8:53 mark following a triple by Proctor.

Chowan did trim the Bowie State lead to nine twice and trailed 49-41 at the end of third quarter action. The Hawks outscored the Bulldogs 23-16 in the third quarter, hitting 8-of-19 field goals, which included one 3-pointer and 6-of-9 free throws.

Bowie State held a nine point cushion three times in the final quarter and had an 11-point lead with 2:27 remaining in the game. However, Chowan closed the deficit to two at 52-50 at the 7:59 mark of the fourth quarter, but that’s as close as the Hawks would get.

The Bulldogs ended the contest with a field goal shooting percentage of 45.1 (23-of-51), which included 5-of-12 beyond the arc (41.7 percent) and Bowie State made 20-of-22 free throws for a season-high 90.9 percent.

Chowan’s Hawks (14-4, 6-2 CIAA, 2-1 North) were led by Chantel Roberts’ game-high 28 points to go along with eight rebounds and Dhyamond Crenshaw contributed 17 points and seven rebounds. Joanne Williams chipped grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, added nine points and a game-high five steals.

Bulldogs women’s basketball head south this weekend, making a stop at Virginia State University for a 1 p.m. tipoff in the Multipurpose Center on the VSU campus.

VALENTUS WEIGHT LOSS COFFEE - What's in it that Makes it Work?

Lean Trim Diana Here:)

I like to talk about L-Theanine because it is amazing and I love what it does! Won't store all fat you eat, won't resist weight loss, won't give you increased feelings of hunger! Now, that's what I'm talking about! Our weight loss coffee is having such an impact on people that they are becoming distributors and helping people get healthy.  Check out the cost comparison below:)  More ingredients tomorrow. Product Info

Here are just a few of the ingredients and their purpose in our coffee:
Cacao
Organic, raw cacao is a superfood containing a variety of unique phytonutrients, including high amounts of sulfur, magnesium and phenylethylamine. These characteristics provide many benefits, such as focus and alertness, while also keeping you in a great mood. These properties help in the reduction of stress and also increase the sensation of fullness, reducing hunger and cravings. Cacao contains MAO (monoamine oxidase enzyme inhibitor) which is able to reduce appetite by increasing serotonin and other neurotransmitters in the brain that help to decrease appetite and hunger.

Phaseolamin
This ingredient combines with an enzyme in the body called alpha-amylase – which is involved in the digestion of starch – and helps to temporarily block its activities. Alpha-amylase is secreted in saliva and is produced in the pancreas, and is responsible for breaking down starch into simple sugars, which can then be absorbed in the small intestine. Blocking this digestive enzyme prevents the digestion of carbohydrates, which means they are able to pass largely undigested through the gastrointestinal tract. The end result is a decrease in the number of calories absorbed, thereby helping to promote weight loss.

L-Theanine
Theanine is an amino acid found in green tea, and is probably the reason why drinking green tea help in weight loss. Studies have found that weight gain is prevalent in people who are emotionally stressed. This is a biological response of our metabolism and leads to cravings and overconsumption of food. When stressed, we produce increasing amounts of a hormone called cortisol. This is a natural response that is intended to help in survival, which as a consequence also leads to increased fat storage. Theanine neutralizes stress, by reducing anxiety and improving the quality of sleep. It does this by increasing the alpha waves in your brain, which relaxes the mind.

With these problems removed now your body:
·    Won't store all the fat you eat
·    Won't resist weight loss
·    Won't give you increased feelings of hunger
