Dr. Myles Munroe - Solutions To All Your Financial Problems and Diplomatic Notes

EVALUATING AND SELECTING ELECTED OFFICAILS (POLICITICANS AND CANDIDATES)
Determine what the candidates personal philosophy and beliefs are beyond what his/her party says (their position) on the issues.
Have they (politician and party) delivered on their last promises, if not why?
What is their position on moral, social or spiritual issues and are their positions compatible with yours?
Measure their words or plans against stated objectives and actual accomplishments (make sure and record/document promises for future comparison) Did they live up to their word? If not ask why and take note before allowing them the opportunity to give another word. Are they transparent. Can you get a straight honest answer or do they ask you to trust them while not giving you information you requested.
Do they purposefully withold information. What is their track record in leadership. Have they been decisive and true to their word?

Do their policies make your life better in the short or long term?
Have their current policies negatively impacted you?
What are their convictions and do theirs line up with yours (ask specific questions)?
Ask very specific questions: for example do you believe in (blank and you fill in the blank)
Do they know how to prioritize (place most important items as the focus of their agenda)
Have they outlined a vision with specific plans that they can be judged on when in office
Do critics and opposition parties present a viable alterative that is documented and which they can be judged by and evaluated upon (every potential leader should a written vision).

DIPLOMATIC NOTE 1 - CHRISTIANS AND POLITICS
A popular notion has existed for years that Christians should stay far away from politics and leave it up to others to govern the country. It is speculated that this concept arose out the the scriptural admonitions to "Come out from among them and be separate" and to be "In the world but not of it". There are several other scriptures that make reference to a form of separation emphasizing the fact that earth is not the permanent home of believers. We are called "pilgrims" and "sojourners" who are not to get bogged down in earthly affairs. However entrenched this thinking is I believe it is erroneous and perhaps even dangerous.
If we understand what the word politics means i believe it would cause an immediate change in perspective for the average Christian. Let's begin by examining the definition of politics:
Definition of Politics - Politics (from Greek: πολιτικός politikos, definition "of, for, or relating to citizens") is the process of
making uniform decisions applying to all members of a group. It also involves the
use of power by one person to affect the behavior of another person. More narrowly, it refers to achieving and
exercising positions of governance - organized control over a human community, particularly a state. Furthermore, politics is the
study or practice of the distribution of power and resources within a given community (a usually hierarchically organized population) as well as the interrelationship(s) between communities.
Let's focus on the underlined items
Making uniform decisions applying to all members of a group.
Use of power by one person to affect the behavior of another person.
Exercising positions of governance - organized control over a human community, particularly a state.
Study or practice of the distribution of power and resources within a given community.

If someone is making decisions that will apply to all members of a group it would make sense to me that the persons affected be involved in the decision making process or at least have input. The second point is that politics causes power to be exercised that will affect the behavior of another person. If the use of power by those in authority can affect our behaviour it seems reasonable for those who would be possibly affected to have a voice, especially if we are talking about a democracy. The third point is "organized control over a human community". If politics can mean the organized control over a human community should that human community not have a voice and input over the policies implemented by those in control. In other words should we be victims or participants. The final point is arguably the most important, the distribution of power and resources. Power and resources are the most critical elements in the survival of any nation. As we look around the world it is clear that there is no shortage or resources but the persistent problem is who controls the resources and how those resources are distributed. Whoever is in power controls distribution so again, righteous and good people who live by Christian principles are best suited to distribute equitably so these persons should be in positions of power to ensure best practices and fairness.
The last time i checked Christians live on the same planet in the same cities and are affected by the same policies as everyone else so it would stand to reason for me that we should have input and involvement in the decision making and governance of the countries we live in. To take it further the Bible states that, "When the righteous are in power the people rejoice". How can we have righteous government if righteous people decide to stay on the sidelines. My conclusion is that Christians should get involved on all level of politics. Once we agree that Christians should be involved in politics the next question is how should we be involved and what is the most effective means of involvement.
In our next edition we will examine the questions:
Should Pastors, Priests and leaders of Churches run for political office?
How would this affect members and would it result in polarization?
How can Christians be most effective in the political arena.

Keys to Relationship and Marriage Success
Most people who get divorced sincerely love each other. Most people who have affairs love their spouse. If this is the case why are marriages suffering infidelity, strife and pain. The answer is an age old axiom, "My people are destroyed because of a lack of Knowledge". What you don't know will and has already hurt you. Dr. Dave and Angie Burrows explain through knowledge, experience and spiritual insight the keys to success they have learned in over 30 years of marriage. Using practical examples spiced with relevant scriptural and spiritual insights you will learn true and tested principles that are guaranteed to bring you success if you follow and practice these principles. Already there have been testimonies worldwide that validate these important insights and we believe that you too will experience these benefits as you study and appropriate these keys to your marriage and relationships.

Narrow Is the Road

- by Joyce Meyer

Daily Devo
Following God means walking the “narrow road.” It means facing adversity. Here are several things I’ve learned that help me to keep going:
  1. God’s Word is a border for my life. As long as I stay within the guidelines laid out in Scripture, I’ll have wisdom and understanding to know what I need to do and have what I need, in Christ, to do it. God is faithful and true to His Word.

  2. I have to be willing to finish what I start. God uses committed people who aren’t led by emotion. It’s easy to be excited in the beginning when something is new, but the ones who cross the finish line are the ones who hang in there when no one else is excited anymore.

  3. When no one is there to help me, I get to know Jesus really well. The narrow road of living for God and not conforming to the ways of the world is often lonely. But the trade-off of gaining real intimacy with Christ is worth more than anything you could ever get from the world.
I believe these truths can help you like they’ve helped me. Always remember that even though there will be opposition, the rewards of walking the narrow path are absolutely worth it.

What We Believe

The Scriptures

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The new Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (2Tim. 3:16; 1Thess. 2:13; 2Peter 1:21).

The Godhead

Our God is one, but manifested in three persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal (Phil. 2:6). God the Father is greater than all; the Source of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14). The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1; John 1:14; John 1:18). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:26).

Man, His Fall, and Redemption

Man is a created being made in the likeness and the image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God…” (Rom. 3:23) and “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one…” (Rom. 3:10). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and He gave His life and shed His blood to restore man back to God (Rom. 3:23; 1John 3:8). Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Eph. 2:8).

Eternal Life and New Birth

Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that produces repentance. The new birth is necessary to all men, and when fulfilled, produces eternal life (2Cor. 7:10; 1John 5:12; John 3:3-5).

Water Baptism

Baptism in water by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12; Acts 8:36-39).

Baptism In The Holy Ghost

The Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of the speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; Act 19:1-7; Acts 2:4).

Sanctification

The Bible teaches that without holiness, no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation (Heb. 12:14; 1Thess. 5:23; 2Peter 3:18; 2Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14; 1Cor. 1:30).

Divine Healing

Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-16; 1Peter 2:24; Matt. 8:17; Isa. 53:4-5).

Resurrection of the Just and the Return of Our Lord

The angels said, “…this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11). His coming is imminent. When He comes, “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (1Thess. 4:16,17). Following the tribulation, He shall  return to earth as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years  (Rev. 20:6).

Hell and Eternal Retribution

The one who physically dies in his sin without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire, and therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The Lake of Fire is literal. The terms “eternal” and “everlasting” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the Lake of Fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the presence of God (Heb. 9:27; Rev. 19:20).

Spiritual Warfare Prayers

By: D. Vincent Bud Ford

Spiritual warfare prayers are more important now than they ever were before. What do you think of when you hear the phrase "spiritual warfare"? If you have images of the latest supernatural Hollywood blockbuster on the brain, you might want to reconsider. Unfortunately, it seems that the subject of spiritual warfare has two main camps, those who do not believe in it at all and those who see demonic activity in every aspect of life. Both of these camps are reluctant to talk about the subject albeit for vastly different reasons.

Biblical Concept

The truth is if you are going to believe in God, the Bible is your guidance system. It is this authority you should turn to for more information on the subject. The Bible clearly states that Satan and demonic activity are a reality. It is not presented in some spooky, hocus pocus sense but matter of factly. The truth is, if you are going to take any part of the Bible as fact, then you must accept the entire writing, which includes the presence of demons, Satan, possession and spiritual warfare.

Do Not Fear

In the Bible the phrase "do not fear" is repeated several times, even when it comes to the activities of dark spirits. Jesus has overcome the power of darkness and indeed the entire world; so as a Christian, there is little to worry about. The problem is, many Christians do not understand their place, especially as it relates to spiritual warfare.

Jesus came to the world to save it, and upon his death He took the keys of death, hell and the grave. He ascended to Heaven where he is seated at the right hand of God; as believers, we are united with Him, far above demonic activity.

Prayer

Spiritual warfare will not be fought with weapons made of human hands. Instead, it will be waged in prayer by believers and with the believers on their knees. Christians do not fight against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places, Ephesians 6:12. When the disciples asked Jesus how they were to pray, the answer He gave was The Lord's Prayer, which is key when it comes to spiritual warfare.

One thing you should know about prayer in general and not just as it pertains to spiritual warfare; it needs to be fervent and continuous in nature. Take the example of Christ in the garden just before he was to be taken and crucified. Jesus prayed until his sweat was as droplets of blood! This would be the very definition of fervent and intense prayer.

Conclusion

Spiritual warfare is not a new age concept. It was dealt with in the biblical text at some length. Jesus dealt with the man who was demon possessed from the area of Gadarenes. Even his disciples talked about those demons they could not cast out and He replied to them that some would not be moved accept through prayer and fasting! Dealing with Satan and his horde is not fairy tale fodder; it is a fact of the world you live in.

There is Practical Spiritual Warfare which all of us deal with each and every day; it shows up in the simple, everyday happenings of life. The important thing to remember is not to overplay or underplay its significance in your life of as a Christian and to fervently pray. Satan and his demons must flee at the name of Jesus Christ.

World Changers Church Recent Services and Programs and The Reality of God

The Reality of God

by Creflo Dollar
Looking at current events going on around us and trying to make sense of it all, it’s easy to get confused about what’s right and what’s wrong. Every day we see things, both globally and in our own communities, that violate our inner sense of justice. Unless our mindsets are anchored in something that can never be shaken, we can feel totally swept away. Some people are so confused by it all that they wonder if God even exists; the answer to this is yes, and He’s very real.
We aren’t simply living in the midst of random chaos, and God isn’t some mystical benevolent character up in the sky. Have you ever watched a brilliantly colorful sunset, smelled the salty sea air at the beach in summertime, or seen springtime flowers resolutely growing in places where you’d never think to see them? None of that simply happened by accident. “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork” (Psalm 19:1, NKJV). The reality of God surrounds us, and if we stop long enough to take a good long look around us, we’ll see the evidence of His handiwork.
Although what’s happening today may seem turbulent and frightening, there’s always another side to the story. How these events affect us is determined by how we choose to view them. There will always be people who declare there is no God but, two thousand years ago, God Himself predicted the present times. “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom…At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other…Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold” (Matthew 24:6, 7, 10, 12, NIV). This may seem like bleak reality, but God’s love for us is just as real, and it’s stronger than anything in the universe.
God is the very essence of love, and when we love others we acknowledge Him. “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16). This kind of love isn’t just warm fuzzy feelings, but an intentional decision we make. Godly love is demonstrated when people reach out to help others in times of need. It can be something as simple as visiting an elderly shut-in, preparing meals to feed hungry children, or opening up one’s home to a family that suddenly became homeless after a disaster.
Even when our faith in others is shaken and we don’t know what to believe anymore, God is always faithful to us. He created everything, including us, in love. When we feel small and insignificant in a gigantic universe, He tells us how much we matter to Him. “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!” (Psalm 8:3, 4, 6-9, NLT). He’s as real as it gets!

Loving Without Getting Tired

- by Joyce Meyer

Daily Devo
God speaks frequently in the Bible of our responsibility to the oppressed, hungry, widows, orphans, fatherless and foreigners. He mentions those who are lonely, neglected, forgotten and devalued. He cares deeply for the oppressed and the hungry.
People can be hungry in many ways. They may have plenty of food to eat but still be starving to feel valuable and loved. God lifts up those who are bowed down with sorrow; He protects the stranger and upholds the fatherless and the widow. How does He do this? He works through people. He needs committed, submitted, dedicated people who live to meet the needs of others.
Mother Teresa once said, “Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.”
I have come to understand that many people we encounter daily are just trying to survive until someone rescues them—and that someone could be you or me. Let’s allow God’s love for the hurting and broken to work through us, meeting the needs of those who are hurting spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Let’s love without getting tired.

Joseph Prince Recent Messages Featuring: Praise Report—Delivered from Addiction and Healed of a Lung Condition and The Gift of the Divine Will -- God Wants to Live One Life With You to Make You Supremely Happy

The Gift of the Divine Will -- God Wants to Live One Life With You to Make You Supremely Happy

By: Frank Albas

Do you wish to live one life in common with God? Do you wish to be supremely happy, to be constantly over brimming with joy and peace, to possess God as the Saints in Heaven do; to perform divine acts continuously rather than human ones?

Gift of the Divine Will: Living one life with God Well, if you do, I’ve got good news for you! God loves us so much that it always was His intention that we live with the gift of the Divine Will, that is, that we live one life in common with Him right from the beginning.

When He created Adam and Eve, He placed them in the Garden of Paradise, where they lived supremely happy. They reigned over Creation as little kings. They possessed sanctifying grace and the preternatural gifts of infused knowledge; freedom from every kind of physical evil, such as sorrow, sickness, injury, or death; freedom from concupiscence and sin.

Gift of the Divine Will: True Presence of God in Souls As great as these gifts were, they were given an even greater one, the gift of the Divine Will, which is the crown jewel of all the gifts. This gift of the Divine Will consists of the sharing with God His own Life, through an exchange and fusing of wills: we give our will to Him, and He gives us His Divine Will as the principal actor in all our acts. By letting God operate in all our acts, He lives and reigns in the soul as truly as He does in the Holy Eucharist.

Now, you may ask, what is the Divine Will? Well, it is pure Life, the vital principle which governs the light, love, and all the attributes of God Himself. It is the fountain of all grace and blessings.

One divine act of infinite merit Getting back to Adam and Eve, they lived one life in common with God. All their acts were performed in His holy Will, which made these acts perfect; and these acts gave perfect love, glory, adoration, praise and thanksgiving to their Maker.

Adam fails God’s test God, however, really wants to know if we truly love Him, so he asks of us a test: to give up acting with our human will. To Adam and Eve, it was not to eat of the fruit of one tree in the Garden of Paradise, and they failed miserably in this test. As a punishment, they not only lost the gift of His Divine Will, but all the other preternatural gifts.

God’s plan to restore gift of the Divine Will God, however, had a plan to restore this gift of the Divine Will to man. First, He decreed that His Son, the new Adam, would take flesh, live, suffer and die to redeem man from this original sin. This was accomplished through the cooperation of the new Eve, the Virgin Mary. But man had to merit this grace, and so it took the prayers, good works, and longings for the coming of the Messiah, by the patriarchs, prophets, and all the holy men and women, four thousand years to bring this about.

Luisa as first in the Divine Will Almost six thousand years after the creation of man, God decreed that the time for another new era of grace was dawning; that it was time to restore to man the gift of gifts, that of His Divine Will. Just as He chose to accomplish the Redemption through His Mother, the Virgin Mary, this time He chose another virgin, Luisa Piccarreta, to whom God gave this supreme gift of the Divine Will while she was only 24 years old, in 1889. Through Luisa, God wants to give this gift of the Divine Will to all who wish to receive it.
Frank J Albas is the owner of Divine Enterprises, which operates an online book store and sells gourmet coffee beans. He has for sale on his website DivineWill.cc (or by phone at 305-864-1683) the 36 volumes on the revelations of the Divine Will given to Luisa Piccarreta, the most privileged soul after the Virgin Mary.

What to Do When Things Seem Hopeless

What to Do When Things Seem Hopeless

- by Joyce Meyer

If you’re going through a difficult time right now, I want you to know that God loves you. He sees what you’re going through, He is with you, and He desires to help you right where you are.
Psalm 34:18 (NLT) says, The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. When we are hurting, God hurts with us.
Maybe you feel like things have gotten too difficult and there’s nothing good left for your future. That is what the enemy wants you to believe, but God has something else to say...
The Lord says, For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you...thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome (Jeremiah 29:11).
Our enemy, Satan, wants to discourage us and make us feel like things will never get better...like there’s no way out. He wants us to believe that we’re all alone. I dealt with depression for years, and there’s a tendency to want to keep it hidden. It’s easy to isolate ourselves and feel like no one else can possibly understand.
The enemy likes it when we keep things hidden in the dark. However, God is Light, and when we discover what He has to say and shine His light into our situation, it brings freedom and hope.
I think it’s common for people to feel embarrassed when it comes to depression or having thoughts of suicide. But the greatest thing we can do in these situations is tell someone else and get it out in the open.
If that’s where you are today, I encourage you to take a step of faith and reach out to a close friend or a trained Christian counselor. Don’t allow the enemy to keep it hidden, but take the opportunity to get things out into the light.

If you are contemplating suicide today, we are here for you. Please reach out at

1-800-490-1009

I’ve learned from experience that keeping things like this to ourselves makes everything seem worse than it really is. But when we get it out into the open, it brings relief, and we allow God to use other people to help us.
The truth is, we all need to talk to someone at different times. We all go through things and need someone to help us get through our difficult seasons in life.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, I encourage you to take a few moments and pray right now:
“Father, I need You now. You say You love me and see exactly where I am…and in spite of how I feel, I choose to believe Your Word. In the face of all I am going through, I look to You for help. I need Your strength to deal with everything that feels too big for me right now. Help me to keep my eyes on You. Please make Yourself real to me…and encourage me for the road ahead. Help me experience Your love and presence in a tangible way. I give all that I am to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
At this moment, you may be facing what seems like an impossible situation. But I want you to know that God can make all things new. He can take your problem and turn it into something good.
That’s why I want to invite you to fill out the form below and request a free copy of my book titled, Holding On to Hope. The Bible says that God is the “God of hope,” full of mercy and new beginnings (see Romans 15:13). And He wants you to be full of hope—believing, expecting, and anticipating great things from Him.
Hope is the confident expectation that something good is going to happen. It’s closely related to our faith and what we believe. When we dare to hope, it floods our life with joy and peace.
My husband, Dave, and I laugh about it now, but in the early years of our marriage, I was the most negative person I knew. I often joke that if I thought two positive thoughts in a row, my brain would get into a cramp!
I’ll never forget it—we had been married about three weeks when Dave looked at me and asked, “What is wrong with you? You have such a negative attitude.”
And this is how bad it was: I responded with, “Well, if you don’t expect anything good to happen, then you won’t be disappointed when it doesn’t.” Needless to say, I did not have a hopeful attitude!
Today, I can honestly sit here and tell you that God has transformed me from being negative and pessimistic to someone who is full of hope, always expecting His goodness around every corner. Little by little, He helped me discover the power of hope and what that means for my thoughts, words, attitudes and every area of my life.
I want to share what I learned with you. This book contains some of the greatest lessons the Lord has taught me in this area—lessons that truly have the ability to change your life if you apply them.
So, are you stuck in a rut and can’t see a way out? Have you lost your positive vision for the future? Would you like to rediscover joy in your everyday life?
Wherever you find yourself today—regardless of what’s happened or how things may look right now—always remember that God is on your side. He is the God of the impossible…and the One who can make a miracle out of any situation.
