BOWIE, Md. - The men's basketball D2SIDA Atlantic Region media poll was released on Monday (2/16) and the Bowie State Bulldogs remain third. The Bulldogs split a pair of games last week, falling short by a score of 83-76 at Virginia Union but rebounded to claim a 70-55 home finale victory against Chowan.
West Liberty (22-2) and Indiana (Pa.) (20-5) remain the top two team followed by Bowie State (19-7). Mercyhurst (18-7) jumped two spots to No. 4 while Fairmont State (17-8) checks in at No.5. Virginia State (17-6) is tied at 6th with Slippery Rock (18-7) and Gannon (17-8) moves up two spots to No. 8. Glenville State (17-8) is ranked 9th and Winston-Salem State (15-8) completes the poll at No. 10.
Bowie State travels to Virginia State University on Wednesday (February 18th) for a 7:30 pm division matchup, weather permitting.
