When deciding on your business hosting first you must decide whether you would like to host the site yourself or outsource it to an established hosting company. There are advantages and disadvantages to both of these options. Advantages of hosting your own website Those who decide to host their website themselves are those who want complete control over their hosting. This can be a major advantage to some, especially those who would like to constantly monitor everything about their website and their web hosting. Those who would like to make regular changes to the hosting setup (and want to do it themselves) will benefit from hosting their own site. In some circumstances it can be cost effective to host your own site but only if you have the requirements to have your own server. This is because you won’t have to pay another company to do it for you. There is also the potential for an extra income stream, because if you are hosting your own website you may have the equipment and expertise to host websites on behalf of others as well. Disadvantages of hosting your own website Although in some circumstances it can be cheaper, the majority of the time it is more expensive to host your website yourself. You may have to hire staff just for this purpose, and the relevant expertise can be costly. You will also have to have you own server and other equipment, and if you don’t have the requirements to use this to its capacity you will still be paying for it. If you don’t have the necessary expertise it can pose obvious problems, especially if something goes wrong. It is also another area you have to worry about, and can distract you from the rest of your business. Advantages of outsourcing your hosting
The main benefit of outsourcing your hosting is that you are leaving it in the hands of experts. You therefore should be able to forget about it, which allows you to focus on your core business. Most hosting companies offer 24/7 support, something you are unlikely to be able to manage if you are hosting your own site, unless you have a large team employed for this purpose. This support means your site is being watched around the clock which gives you peace of mind. For some sites this can be extremely important. If shared hosting is adequate then you can share servers with the hosting company’s other customers which will be cheaper than having your own server. Colocation can also take away one of the disadvantages of outsourcing: that you have no control. With Colocation you own and maintain your own server but rent rack space at a Colocation centre which will cost less than hosting it yourself as you are sharing bandwidth and other variable with other customers. With outsourcing you can purchase Managed Hosting. Managed Hosting means all your hosting is completely managed for you. This should take the worry completely away from you. Disadvantages of outsourcing your hosting As already mentioned, you don’t have the same control if you are outsourcing. To an extent things are dictated to you by the limitation of the hosting package you choose and the operations of the hosting company. If something goes wrong with the hosting company, for example if they go out of business or make a mistake, you could have a problem. There could also be a potential security risk if confidentiality is a major issue. For the majority of businesses, outsourcing is the better option. Most do not have the expertise to host their own website, and can make use of the support an established hosting company can offer. In the end it all comes down to the hosting needs and hosting knowledge of each individual business. Andrew Marshall (c)

Last week, James Grage made the official decision to compete in the Arnold. Now he has 12 weeks to get in the best shape of his life. Where will he start?
James: Here we go. Day 1. I’m going to jet up to BPI, hop on and do some cardio first thing in the morning. I haven’t done any cardio… man, it’s been a long time.
After 40 minutes and about 450 calories on the elliptical, James drops off his application in the warehouse to make sure it gets shipped out. Then it’s time for breakfast.
Mike T: What’s up with you man? I heard you were in here this morning early getting it in. James: Told ya. It’s day one. I’m not messing around. The only thing that I haven’t done yet is my body fat. So right now I’m just guessing on my nutrition. I weighed myself this morning… Mike T: What’d you weigh? James: I weigh 185.8 lbs.
Cardio isn’t the only training James is doing to prepare for the Arnold. He’ll also have to amp up the intensity on his weight lifting.
James: It’s time to hit the gym and today is back day. I’ve got some pretty specific goals for myself over the next 12 weeks when it comes to my training and back is one of them.
After they’ve finished filming James’ workout, Kerby and Mike T. reflect on the boss’ new goal.
Mike T: It’s definitely cool that he decided to do this after so long. He’s been in the game for so long. He competed maybe 12 years ago and to step back in the game after a while, it’s admirable, especially considering all the other stuff he’s got going on. He does it all. Kerby: He edits, he records, he’s the boss man… Mike T: He’s a man of many hats, I say it all the time. He’s a video guy, he’s a camera man, he’s an editor, worker, family guy, all that good stuff. I’m proud of him. I hope he goes all the way. As a matter of fact, I think he’s gonna go all the way with it. I think he’s gonna get first place at the Arnold. You heard it here first!
Find out where James’ drive to be the best comes from. Watch the full episode above and tune in every week for the next episode of Mission Shred.

Both the ketogenic and paleo diets have become increasingly popular. Here, Dr. Nasha Winters discusses the similarities and differences between the two. She also clears up confusion between the keto diet and other popular diet fads.
The Reason Why "Diets" Don't Work
By: Anthony Cello [From Spring 2018]
Summer is right around the corner. (Or in some parts of the world already here) All the gyms in your area are filling back up after the hiatus since January. Your coworkers, family members, and friends all tell you about the latest diet they are on. They have gone Vegan, Keto, or are have begun a 21-Day Fix, and will not stop bragging about how much weight they have lost. Here you are, trying your best to make smart choices, going to the gym when you find the time, and yet nothing seems to be happening. Your clothes fit the same, your energy levels are the same, and you are frustrated. You begin to think, maybe I need to get on a diet as well. Believe me when I say this; you are not alone. After being an elite health and fitness coach for years, I have heard and seen it all. I've witnessed every last trend, fad, diet, etc. but most of all, client frustrations. I have seen people go on x or y diet for a month or two, lose a lot of weight, and then gain it all back and some a few months later. Have you seen this before too? Maybe this happened to you as well. As I said before, you are not alone. Psychologyofeating.com states that 95% of all dieters will regain the weight they lose within one year. Not to mention, an estimated 45 million Americans go on a diet each year, and Americans spend $33 billion each year on weight loss products. Yet, nearly two-thirds of Americans are overweight or obese, according to the Boston Medical Center. Something is not right, and is not working. So what is the answer? For starters, "dieting" is not the answer. To get fit, lose weight, and keep it off for good, a complete lifestyle change must be implemented. This means the way we eat, the way we exercise, and the way we sleep must be harmonious with how we live. We must think of eating healthy foods as a way to have energy. We must think of exercising as a way to keep our bodies strong, functioning at optimal capacity, and improving our heart health…you know, the thing that keeps us alive! Lastly, we must think of our sleeping habits as a way for our body to shut down and undergo all the processes that we want it to, like you guessed it, lose weight! (Seriously, get to bed- it's important). If dieting hasn't worked for you yet, or maybe it has, but you'd like a more reasonable approach long-term, start by changing your lifestyle. Implement walks after dinner or on lunch break. Hire a trainer if you have the means to do so. Start clearing the fridge and pantry of any food product that has more than 3 ingredients (you will be shocked). Lastly, start shutting down electronics and getting to bed an hour earlier each night. Small changes lead to big changes over time. Stay consistent and realize this process will take longer than that short-term diet, but will reward you in the long run.
Business Insider reporter and photographer Daniel Brown recently spent a day riding along with US Border Patrol agents. He got an inside look at the busiest sector of the US-Mexico border. Following is a transcript of the video: [Full Video Below]
Daniel Brown: I was recently down in McAllen, Texas, down in the Rio Grande Valley, to cover the immigration crisis that's been going on. I reached out to the Border Patrol for that sector and tried to get a ride-along. Finally, they granted it.
US Border Patrol Agent: The Rio Grande Valley Sector accounts for about 40% of the apprehensions in the United States. McAllen Station specifically is about 20% of the entire nation, and we catch about 300 individuals a day just in this 50-mile span of border.
When it comes to defending yourself and your family from an attacker there is no such thing as a fair fight!
The coward attacker that blind-sides you in the parking lot doesn’t believe in a fair fight, and neither should you!
That’s why you need to arm yourself with this free, totally legal tool that can drop an attacker in an instant!
I’ve already told my friends and family to get theirs and I urge you to claim one too.
Brown: They first took me on a boat, just drove up and down the Rio Grande. They're looking for crossers. Most people cross on rafts or boats. There are just some deflated rafts on the side of the coast there. That's from people crossing over. We get off periodically, and just take little trails, and walk around. A lot of times they would look for tracks and see some faint ones, be like, okay, we know someone passed through here a couple days ago, or a day ago, or something like that. Their main job is, obviously, to keep the border safe and to apprehend people who are crossing illegally. But also, as they told me, it's a humanitarian mission as well, you know. Whether it's Mexicans or Americans, or any other citizen of the world who's passing through, they wanna try to keep those people safe.
US Border Patrol Agent: That's kinda one of the difficulties of the job is you have to switch on and off from humanitarian mission to, is this guy trying to take your life?
Brown: Border Patrol agents are killed, are shot at, they find dead bodies a lot, they experience, witness a lot of trauma. One agent who operates mostly on the boats, he said that sometimes they'll find a raft or a little boat trying to get across, and they'll be packed with 10 or more people, or something like that. Sometimes they'll just throw a kid off into the water just 'cause they know that the agents will go for the kid right away to save 'em. We went up and down along the river there for a while. We ran into a lot of sugar cane. It's very dense, and they were talking about the difficulties of tracking people through that, how a lot of times people can just run into that and they'll just never find 'em, even if they have dogs.
US Border Patrol Agent: You cordon off this field and try to surround it, even when we have a canine assist come in so that the dog can follow and smell the people, he gets overloaded. So, it's a big, big challenge, the sugar cane.
Brown: After that, we drove around for a little bit, a lot of stray dogs walking around. And the agents even said they use the dogs sometimes to kind of decipher if someone's in the area.
US Border Patrol Agent: These dogs at times will give you a heads up, because with experience you start to see that they weren't barking before, but then they began to bark, so they'll kinda give you a little heads up that somebody's in the area or something's in the area.
Brown: The people that live along the borders, I spoke to some of them who have people crossing through their property, who've been there for years, and it happens almost daily, and they'll ruin their crops. I met one family who's shot people who cross into their property. Those landowners, when I went and visited them, they said to come back in a few hours, and I did, and that's when they told me, "Oh, you missed it." And then they drove me out on their little four wheeler and showed me the tracks. Those tracks were like an hour old when I took 'em. A lot of these people that are crossing over illegally or going to ports of entry, they've had tough lives, and they're trying to escape violence, they're trying to get a better life. And that's something that I think that we should realize and understand as a country. But at the same time, you know, people, like the Border Patrol agents, their lives are at risk sometimes. People on all sides of the issue are going through tough things sometimes, and I think we need to see all aspects of that.

Don't Underestimate Your Prayers
Kenneth Copeland
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1 Timothy 2:1-2
That verse is clear, isn’t it? The instruction is plain. Yet even in these tumultuous days when our nation is so desperately in need of God’s guidance, most of God’s people don’t do what that verse commands.
Why not?
I believe it’s because most of us are overwhelmed by the problems we see around us. How could my prayers make a dent in the national debt? we think. How could my faith affect foreign policy?
In other words, we fail to pray because we fail to realize just how powerfully our prayers can affect this country.
It’s time we caught hold of that. It’s time we realized that if we’d just be obedient to 1 Timothy 2:1-2, there’s no council of any kind on earth, no king, no president, no congress, no anything that could overthrow God’s purpose for His people.
God has called us to intercede. He has commanded us to pray for those in authority. He has given us His Word, His power, His Name, His authority and His faith. We have all the tools necessary to pray effectively for our government and its leaders.
I urge you to intercede. It is your responsibility as a believer to get involved in the affairs of your country. God wants this great land of ours, and the only way He’s going to get it is through His ambassadors—you and me.
Pray for your nation. Every day. And never again underestimate the world-changing power of those prayers.

So you have decided to become an entrepreneur. Hopefully, you have put into consideration everything you need to do to succeed. As a business owner and leader, you will always need to raise funds. And this is not something you are going to delegate. You will have to make your pitches to deep-pocketed investors from time to time. Convincing investors to give you the money you need to grow your business demands award-winning business plan writing skills. Do You Know how to Write a Business Plan? Everyone who wishes to make it in the world of business is an eternal student. They are always learning new things and acquiring new skills. If you are clueless about how to write a business plan that wins investors' approval, you have come to the right place. It is not rocket science; you can hack it if you are willing and diligent. Here is how to do it:
Show the Investors there is Market for Your Product Investors are not interested in the technical features of your product or its attractiveness. They prefer investing in market-driven rather than service-driven or technology-driven companies. Your job is to show them that there is a market for your product and that you can make enough sales and profits. Demonstrate to these smart people your product's user benefits. Finally, your presentation needs to show there is market interest; be sure to document your market claims. Address the Needs of Your Prospective Investors Once you have made a convincing case for your market penetration, make financial projections. Projections determine whether investors will want to evaluate your venture. Also, projections guide them as they make commitments and decide on the price at which the funds become available to you. Make every effort to show them how they will cash out. Your plan needs to demonstrate how investors will liquidate their holdings. They want to know whether you plan to sell the company at some point, take it public, or buy their holdings. If you have an accepted product in a proven market and also have a competent management team, you are highly likely to win. Your Business Plan Should Reflect Your Business Picking a template and filling in the blanks does not work. Investors understand that a plan is a distillation of the essentials that make a venture what is. When writing your document, focus more on the content than you do on the format. Ensure that your plan extensively covers every aspect of your venture so that investors can make an informed decision. Always remember that capital owners do not care much about how attractive your product or document is. They are only interested in the soundness of your business idea. Demonstrate you can help investors make money, and they will let you keep their money for now. Do you have a market-accepted product with a proven market? Do you have the right people to help you execute your plan? Package your idea in a way that appeals to investors.
