The Extraordinary Rise and Fall of a Promising Cancer Treatment

A Story of Lies, Greed and Dishonesty

In the middle of the twentieth century, Andrew Ivy, MD, PhD, was one of the most respected scientists in America. Vice President of the University of Illinois and a director of the American Cancer Society, he was a pillar of the medical establishment.
His career would no doubt have continued to blossom if he had not made a crucial error of judgment. He decided to investigate a promising new non-toxic cancer drug. That's when his world fell apart.
Here is how it came about.

Breakthrough makes most cancer surgery obsolete

From the Desk of Lee Euler, Editor and Publisher

Meet the beautiful 61-year-old woman
who just said no to disfiguring cancer surgery

This patient refused to let a surgeon cut off part of her face to get rid of the ugly, smelly tumor growing next to her ear. Instead, she found a brilliant doctor who uses a breakthrough treatment that most doctors haven't heard of. You be the judge of these "before" and "after" photos: click here to see the photographic proof of the cancer breakthrough for yourself.

Bowie State Lady Bulldogs Maul Felician Golden Falcons 71-57

BOWIE, Md. – Bowie State women’s basketball mauled visiting Felician College, cruising to a 71-52 home victory over the Golden Falcons. The win pushed the Lady Bulldogs overall record to 4-3 while Felician falls to 1-9 on the year.

Three Bowie State players scored in double figures with junior Ty-Nita Baker (Houston, Miss.) leading the attack with a personal season-high of 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Senior Donia Naylor (Washington, D.C.) notched a double-double of 18 points, tying her career-high, and snared 17 rebounds, one rebound shy of her career-high. Naylor also added three assists, two blocks and one steal to the stat sheet. Senior Alisha Burley (Baltimore, Md.) contributed a dozen points for the Lady Bulldogs.

“It wasn’t pretty but they don’t have to be … A win is a win”, said Bowie State head coach Renard Smith. “The difference in this game today was the turnover factor which resulted in 22 points for us.”

Felician got out to an 8-2 lead after 5 ½ minutes of play, but the Lady Bulldogs scored the games’ next eight points. A Mary Chisholm (West Babylon, N.Y.) layup with 6:58 remaining in the period made the score 20-16 in favor of Bowie State. BSU’s Baker then scored the final 10 points of a 14-0 run to give the Lady Bulldogs an 18-point edge. After the Golden Falcons tallied the final six points of the half, Bowie State went into the locker room ahead, 34-22.

The closest that the Golden Falcons came in the second half of play was a 36-27 deficit following a Chisholm bucket with14:57 remaining. Bowie State’s Lady Bulldogs steadied itself by scoring the next six points, but Felician twice got back to within 10, the second time at 57-47 at the 5:01 mark. But the Lady Bulldogs put the game away with a 13-0 spurt over the next three minutes. The Golden Falcons finished the day with a 10-1 run for the final 14-point margin of defeat.

Chisholm and Treanda Foster (Bronx, N.Y.) paced the Golden Falcons with a double-double in the loss. Chisholm tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds and Foster recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Morris (West Orange. N.J.) and Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.) scored in double figures, adding 12 and 10 points respectively.

The Lady Bulldogs will take a break for final exams before returning to action on Friday (December 19th) against West Virginia Tech University at 2 pm. This will be game one of the Sheetz – Herb Sims Classic hosted by Bluefield (W.Va.) State University.
