Barbara’s cancer survivor story began in 2001 when she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. Like most people, she was shocked by this diagnoses especially because she was so active. She was an avid sailor, she was told that her constant exposure to the sun was the cause. It also didn’t help that her family has a history of melanoma skin cancer. Originally, she was misdiagnosed by two previous dermatologists who then performed a malignant melanoma removal but she knew something wasn’t right with the little spot on her arm. When it grew back, after the surgery, she was told that there was really no good treatments that would help her. Being a veterinarian that treats her own patients using holistic methods, she figured that she would try the same techniques on herself. She was told by her doctors to come in for a checkup every three months when they wanted to continuously have a melanoma biopsy to which she refused. And after using her natural malignant melanoma cures, she used on the animals she treated, the doctors began to see a huge difference.
