Two additional notes of interest (well, to me, anyway!) about tomorrow’s playoff game with the Columbus Comets:
Saturday’s game will be the second playoff meeting between the DC Divas and Columbus Comets. In 2006, the Divas faced the Comets in the NWFA Eastern Conference championship game. The Divas came away with a 32-7 victory and went on to capture the 2006 national championship.
The DC Divas are making their tenth playoff appearance, which ranks second in the history of women’s pro football. And the Columbus Comets are no strangers to playoff football, either; the Comets are making their eighth playoff appearance, putting them among the top ten teams in the sport.
