Watch the best faith-based teaching 24/7

Be Unreasonably Committed

Proverbs 4:7-9

If you really want to get the wisdom of God, you'll have to do more than casually read the Scriptures a few minutes a day. You'll have to feed on them night and day. You'll have to get rid of the rubbish you've been feeding into your consciousness by reprogramming your mind with the Word of God.
"Oh, Brother Copeland," you may say, "that's unreasonable!"
Yes it is. But consider this: A music major in college practices for hours every day. Olympic skaters spend six to eight hours a day training for their routines. They do it because they're unreasonably committed to their goals.
The same is true for you. If you're going to achieve the kind of spiritual excellence you're hungry for, you're going to have to be unreasonably committed to the Word of God.
That may well mean that you'll have to carry a tape player around with you everywhere you go. It may mean that you'll have your razor in one hand and your tape player in the other or a tape player in one hand and a fork in the other.
Do whatever it takes to totally saturate yourself with the Word of God. I would speak to you no differently if I were your commanding officer about to send you into combat against the best trained elite troops of a savage enemy.
You are God's frontline assault force. You have an enemy who is doing his dead-level best to destroy you. In this crucial, all-out, no-holds-barred offensive, Satan will dispatch hell's choicest personnel to bring you down. If you're going to make it through in victory, you're going to have to put yourself in training.
Be unreasonably committed. Get wisdom.

The Rock Almighty Devotional, Praise, and Worship with Bloodgood

...Blessed is the man who fears the Lord...He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.
— Psalm 112:1, 7

  View Previous Devo

God sometimes speaks by giving us peace deep inside our hearts. You may face situations in which everyone around you is telling you to trust God and be at peace, but the “how to” evades you.
Fears are screaming at you, unnerving you, and threatening you. Friends are saying, “Everything will be all right,” but you find that hard to believe until God Himself speaks deep in your heart and says, “You can trust Me; I will take care of this. Everything really is going to be all right.”
In 1989, I went to the doctor for a regular checkup. He discovered a fast-growing type of cancer, and recommended surgery immediately.
As a result of this news, I struggled with tremendous fear. I had trouble sleeping, and there were times when fear hit me so hard I felt I was going to fall down. No matter how many of my family members or friends reassured me, I still battled great fear until very early one morning, about 3:00am, God spoke deep inside my heart and said, “Joyce, you can trust Me.”
After that, I did not experience any sickening fear again. I was apprehensive as I waited for results on tests, but I was not terrified. I knew I was in God’s hands and whatever happened, He would take care of me.
As it turned out, I did not need further treatment. I ended up thankful instead of fearful—and that’s what can happen in any situation when we learn to hear God’s voice.

Prayer Starter: Father, you see everything I’m going through today. Help me to sense your peace deep inside my heart. Help me to trust that you will always take care of me and never let me down. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Joseph Prince Recent Message Featuring: Temptation: Too hot to handle? - Word Vs. World - Ep 5

Driving your friend of the opposite gender home “because it’s late.” Watching that movie because you’re sure you can ‘handle’ those steamy scenes. Been there before, thought you had everything under control, only to have things go completely outta hand?

God gets us with all our human failings…and that’s why His advice to FLEE sexual immorality (see 1 Cor. 6:18)—to RUN from it—is still legit today.

Watch and see how God isn’t a dictator denying you pleasure, but your loving Father who wants you to live a life unbridled by the shame of failing in this area. Even if you feel like you’ve failed here before (and we know it’s no laughing matter), God wants to help you find victory over it moving forward. Trust us when we say this 3-minute clip is pretty life-changing!

Later Is Here!

Matthew 24:45

The Word tells us that God shows Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are "perfect" toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). That word perfect doesn't mean that we have to do everything just right and live without making a mistake. Thank God, we don't have to do that. It means "devoted"—a heart consecrated, dedicated, loyal and faithful to God.
The mistakes we make will not stop God from working in our lives. Only our lack of faithfulness can do that.
Who is faithful? The one who spends his time doing what God has called him to do. Or as Jesus put it, the one who takes up his cross and follows Him. The one who denies his fleshly desires and spends his life on the things God desires him to do.
Maybe God has been urging you to spend more time in His Word and in prayer or dealing with you about ministering more to the people around you. He may be calling you to pray for the sick or to teach the Word. But you're busy, so you glide on with good intentions and tell God you'll do it later. Well, later is here!
Decide today that you are going to be the faithful and wise servant. Find out what is stealing your time from the Lord. Serve His interests instead of your own.
Do you want to be a ruler in the household of God? Do you want Him to show Himself strong for you? Then take up Jesus' thoughts today. Take up His purposes and His plans. Now is the time to be faithful!

5 Strength Training and Plyometric Drills to Improve Rebounding

  • By Alli Williams
Learn to be a better rebounder with these proven exercises and methods for basketball players

You may think rebounding is based off of athleticism or height, but this belief is false.
Rebounding is a developed skill that anyone can acquire through proper training – specifically,
strength and plyometric training. Since rebounding has many components to it, there are many
drills you can do in order to improve your rebounding ability. This article will highlight what I
believe to be the best training methods for turning any athlete into a strong rebounder.

#1: Squats
This is essential for athletes to work out their entire lower body. Squats are great for increasing
muscle endurance and strength. The endurance will allow basketball players to jump higher,
run faster and run longer. Leg strength contributes to staying low and boxing out your
opponent. When you are able to hold your man and push them back, you will give yourself a
better chance of grabbing the rebound. Almost everyone is familiar with the squat technique;
start with your feet hips width apart and back straight. Push hips back with weight on heels
until your knees are parallel to the floor. Use your leg muscles to push back up. In order to keep
your body guessing, it is good to perform different squat techniques. Here are some variations
of the squat.
- Body weight squat - Squat at high repetitions with your body weight. This method will
increase muscle endurance while weighted squats will increase muscle strength.
- Back squat – Squat with the barbell rested behind your head on your shoulders and
neck.
- Front squat –Squat with the barbell in front of your body with elbows parallel to the
ground.
- Goblet squat – Squat with a dumbbell or weight plate held between your legs. Lower
until the weight touches the ground and come back up.
- Overhead squat – Hold the barbell with a grip that is much wider then shoulder width.
With arms fully extended overhead, perform squat. Note: this is one of the hardest
squats because it requires good balance from the core and shoulders.

#2: Pull-ups
Pull-ups are one of the best exercises basketball players can do. They are especially useful for
rebound improvement since the pulling motion is similar to the motion of pulling down a
rebound. Pull-ups strengthen the back and arm muscles used when ripping down a rebound so
you are more powerful during a basketball game. You can find a pull up bar at any gym, buy one
for your home, or improvise with anything that will allow you to safely pull yourself up. Grab
the bar with hands facing away from your face (or you can do chin ups when the hands face
towards you). Using your back muscles, pull yourself up until your chin is over the bar; lower
yourself until arms are straight. Aim for at least three sets for 8-12 reps. If you are experienced
with pull-ups, try wearing a weighted vest or attached a weight plate between your legs. If you
cannot complete pull-ups on your own, get a partner to help support you or use the assisted
pull-up machine at your gym.

#3: Plyometrics
Vital for increasing timing and muscle reaction, plyometrics train your muscles to contact
quicker and more explosively when jumping for a rebound. This explosiveness will also help
you beat your opponents to the ball. Furthermore, plyometrics can increase your vertical jump,
which is a huge component for becoming a better rebounder. Here are a few simple plyometric
drills you can do pretty much anywhere.
- Squat jumps – Wearing a weighted vest, lower into a squat position and explode off the
ground. Imagine yourself jumping higher each time in order to grab a rebound. Do three
sets for 8-12 reps.
- Box jumps – Stand about 1-2 feet away from a sturdy box at an appropriate height for your
abilities. Standing still, lower into a position similar to squat and jump up and forward onto
the box. When landing, make sure you land gently on the balls of your feet so that less
pressure is put on your knees. Again, wear a weighted vest to make this more challenging.
Do three sets for 8-12 reps.
- Broad jumps – Start with feet hip distance apart and lower down to get more power. Jump
as far forward as you can. Land softly and repeat this action as quick as you can. Limiting
time on the ground trains your muscles to contract quicker. Do three sets for 8-12 reps.

#4: Weighted jumps
Weighted jumps are a sub category of plyometrics because they train your muscle fibers to react
more quickly. These exercises are ideal for basketball players specifically to increase vertical
jump.
- Weight plate jumps- Hold a 5-10 pound plate over your head and try to touch the
backboard. Complete this for 12-15 reps and go to the other side of the basket. Once you
have completed two sets with weight, take a ball and repeat the drill. You will find it much
easier to touch the backboard since the ball is significantly lighter than the weight.
- Weighted vest jumps - Stand at the foul line and throw or bounce the ball at the backboard.
Wearing a weighted vest, jump as high as you can and reach the ball at its peak. Finish the
lay-up or throw an outlet pass; complete 5 sets of 5 reps.
- Weight put backs- Stand in the center of the key about two feet in front of the basket. With
arms extended holding a 5-10 pound plate overhead, jump straight up. Next, pivot towards
the basketball and jump again as to finish the put back lay-up. Do three sets of 10
repetitions.

#5: Core
Your core is where all of your strength and power come from. The stronger your core, the
stronger and more efficient your other muscles will become. If your core is weak, your other
muscles will not be able to perform as efficiently. Therefore, a strong core is necessary to
complement the exercises mentioned above. A strong core is also crucial for boxing out and
moving your opponent. Most people think core is purely abdominals. However, training your
core involves strengthening your back and shoulders as well. Do this routine 3-4 times a week
and you will have a stronger core in no time.
25 push-ups
1 minute plank
1 minute wall sit
Repeat this cycle 4-5 times. Also, you can add in any abdominal drills you like to supplement
these exercises.

The Truth About Cancer Featuring: Global Health News #39 | Healthy Food, Censorship, and TTAC Live!

Welcome to Episode #39 of Global Health News, Truth That Matters with Ty and Charlene Bollinger!

This episode begins with Ty and Charlene discussing matcha green tea. Did you know that matcha can reduce stress and even help to prevent cancer? Check out Charlene’s article here: [http://bit.ly/matcha-green-tea-benefits].

Some say that healthy food is unaffordable, forcing them to purchase “junk food” instead of healthy, whole foods. Some say that the price of healthy food is “imprisoning low-income families.” But what is the true cost of a diet filled with toxic chemicals and fake food?

Texas is proposing legislation that would prevent those on SNAP (government assistance for purchasing food) from buying snacks and junk food. Among those on food stamps, the rate of obesity is nearly double. Should tax dollars subsidize a diet that is killing families?

Next, we talk about censorship. Amazon’s Prime Video service is banning videos that they say are promoting “false cancer cures.” Are these videos promoting lies, or simply promoting treatments that don’t profit Big Pharma? And that’s hardly the tip of the censorship iceberg.

Facebook and its subsidiary Instagram have been shutting down the accounts of conservatives and natural health advocates. Pinterest, YouTube, and MailChimp have followed suit, trying desperately to silence organizations like Mercola.com, GreenMedInfo, and even TTAC. We need to act.

And our views on things like alternative cancer treatments and vaccines are not conspiracy theories – they’re conspiracy FACTS. Two nurses in New Zealand have pled guilty to manslaughter after forcing the MMR vaccine on infants against the parents’ will. Both children died within 3 minutes of receiving the vaccine.

We end with a special announcement of TTAC Live 2019 – a health homecoming. Taking place October 11-13, this event will feature health experts from all over the world. Unlike many conferences, you’ll be able to mingle with the experts and keynote speakers all weekend! For more information on this life-changing conference, click here: [http://bit.ly/next-ttac-live].

If you enjoy this video, please share with your friends and family!

Ordinary People, Extraordinary Risks
By: Bill Treasurer

In the same way you learn leadership from leaders, law from lawyers, and art from artists, you learn most about risk-taking from risk-takers.

Emerson once wrote, "The great distinction between teachers sacred or literary is that one class speaks from within, or from experience, as parties and possessors of the fact; and the other class, from without, as spectators merely."

We read many stories about real life risk-takers, including those from risk's outer edges. However, even the extraordinary examples will be put in service to the ordinary risk-taker. Lessons from risk's extreme edge can be applied well within its inner fold. Common truths are often most magnified through uncommon feats.
https://dde81i4iwi6s4vc4oip7z5s94a.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=USSPORTSBLOG

Just as courage, composure, and commitment are required of a fighter pilot, so too are they required of the young entrepreneur opening a business, the professor breaking free from the confining prejudices of an academic discipline, and the soldier defying an unjust or immoral order. Courage, composure, and commitment are equally required of the local politician taking a stand on an unpopular issue, the addict reaching out for help (and the jaded cynic reaching back), the young mother leaving the deadly comfort of an abusive relationship, and the volunteer firefighter running into a burning house.

Right Risk happens every day, everywhere. The promise woven into all Right Risks is our own relevancy. Each of us wants to feel that we have lived a life that matters. We want to make a difference for ourselves, for our families, for our communities, and for our world.

When the choices we make, and the actions we take, are reflections of our higher self, we are ennobled with the knowledge that our life has been worthwhile, at least to ourselves. In the end, the only person we will spend our entire life with is ourselves. We are a lot easier to live with when we are proud of who we are. And we are most proud of ourselves when we take Right Risks.

Consider the following questions:

* In what areas of your life do you tend to take more risks (i.e., physical, intellectual, interpersonal, or emotional)? How might you be able to "borrow" from this area in order to take more risks in the areas of your life where you tend to avoid risk?

* Review the four main criteria for a Right Risk-passion, purpose, principle, and prerogative. Based on these criteria, do you think your risk is a Right Risk, or something else?

*Take out a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle of the page. On the left, list some risks that turned out well. On the right, list the risks that turned out badly. Place check marks next to the risks on either column that met the criteria of having been Right Risks. Of those checked, which, if any, do you regret having taken?

The Rock Almighty Devotional, Praise, and Worship with Disciple

June 30

But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace(1 Corinthians 15:10, NLT).

God’s grace increases our efficiency and enables us to accomplish more than others can, with no sweat or struggle. We succeed not through our own efforts, but because He works through us.

Creflo Dollar Ministries Featuring: Your World with Creflo "The Revelation of Grace" and No More Dying To Do

Dr. Dollar shares his personal accounts of how Grace has been the driving force for his ministry over the last several decades, and how through the grace of God, his life has, quite literally, been saved.

No More Dying to Do

Hebrews 2:9

Death. It’s not a popular topic—even among believers. In fact, a great many are just plain scared of it. Oh yes, they talk about having eternal life. Yet when the devil tries to threaten their earthly survival with sickness or calamity, they panic.
Why? Because they haven’t learned to look at death through God’s eyes. Even though their spirit has been made immortal, they haven’t renewed their minds to include that truth. If they had, when the devil tried to push their panic button, they’d just laugh and say, “You can’t scare me, Devil. I’ve done all the dying I’m ever going to do!”
That’s true, you know. The Word of God says that you, as a born-again believer, are never going to see death (John 8:51). Jesus has been your substitute. He suffered death so you wouldn’t have to. And He was raised from death, Hebrews 2:14-15 says, “Destroy[ing] him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver[ing] them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”
If you’ve made Jesus the Lord of your life, the only death you’ll ever experience is behind you now. It occurred the instant you received Christ. At that moment, your old self—the one whose nature was to sin and rebel against God—died. Your body didn’t die, but your spirit man—the real you—died to Satan and all of his works. You became “a new creature” (2 Corinthians 5:17), immortal and absolutely incapable of death!
When you’re finished with your work on the earth, you’re not going to die. You’ll simply shed your earthly shell and relocate to a far more glorious place.
Go to the Word and get God’s perspective on death. Make a study of it. Once the reality of your immortality begins to dawn on you, the devil will never be able to threaten you with it again.
