Nebraska Danger @ Green Bay Blizzard 8pm EST

Winners take on the top seeds The Arizona Rattlers and The Iowa Barnstormers (TBD)

Danger stuns Iowa, punches ticket to playoff date with Green Bay.

GRAND ISLAND, NE - And then, there were six.

With their back against the wall, the Nebraska Danger found a way to stun defending IFL champion Iowa 46-40 to punch a ticket to the IFL Playoffs.

The Danger's win coupled with a win from Tucson over Quad Cities in the final week of the regular season helped earn Nebraska the five-seed in the playoffs and yet another trip to Green Bay this Friday.

Before looking to the future, the Danger are still reveling a bit in the monumental win over the Barnstormers this past weekend. Not only did the Danger (6-7) come in as heavy underdogs to the Barnstormers (12-1), but the playoff hopes of the team were up in the air.

At the end of three quarters, it seemed the season was coming to a crashing end with the Danger trailing 40-31. With 12:20 left in the game, the Danger brought it back within a score on the arm of quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. He connected with Mike Tatum from 13 yards out to make it 40-38. The game would then go back and forth the entire quarter with neither team again finding the end zone.

Then with less than 10 seconds left and the game on the line, the Danger put the ball in the hands of Davonte Sapp-Lynch who rumbled in from two yards out to give the Danger a 46-40 lead with just 4 seconds left on the clock. Iowa's hail mary fell short, and Nebraska earned itself at least one more game in 2019.

That game is now set for Friday at Green Bay, which has been a bit of a "house of horrors" for the team this year. In two trips north, Nebraska has come home with two losses. They fell 53-52 in just the second game of the season back on March 1. They then trekked up again on April 13th, only to lose 60-50. However, the two teams met for a third time in the regular season the very next week, and the Danger exacted revenge, winning 47-40 in Grand Island. The win was part of a stretch where the team won 4-of-5 games, which inevitably helped the team squeak into the playoffs.

Now the slate is reset to 0-0 for the six remaining teams. In the opening round of the playoffs, the Danger will of course be taking on the Blizzard, but they're just one of two opening round games. The other showdown pits the Tucson Sugar Skulls against the Sioux Falls Storm. What happens from this point can create a variety of scenarios.

If the Danger win, they'll earn a date with either the top-overall seed Arizona Rattlers or the Iowa Barnstormers, who they just beat. That ensuing game will be dependent on what happens between the Storm and Sugar Skulls. If Sioux Falls wins, the Storm would play Iowa and the Danger would head west to Arizona. But if Tucson pulls of the upset in Sioux Falls, then they would take on Arizona while the Danger stay in the midwest to take on Iowa.

Kickoff for Friday night's contest in Green Bay is set for 7:05 p.m./CT. It can be viewed right here at US Sports Network.

Nutrition Issues Preventing Your Weight Loss Success

Nutrition Issues Preventing Your Weight Loss Success

By Team Beast's Brandon Hendrickson, the 2018 Men's Physique  Olympia Champion
When it comes to your ability to change your body, your nutrition is the biggest factor for attaining weight loss success. Your diet is probably the hardest part about building your desired physique. Unfortunately, we have slip-ups and things happen where it affects our desired physique. Here are some things with your nutrition that can prevent your weight loss success along with ways to fix them.
Stress and Willpower:
A lot of people eat more food when they are happy or sad. It’s almost inevitable for most of us to eat more when stressed or feeling down. The best way to fix that get on track with your weight loss success is to use alternative foods in your daily nutrition. For example, if you want something sweet or with sugar, instead of chocolate and candy, try fruits and nuts.
Tiredness:
Reduced sleep could affect how hungry you feel and could totally knock you off track with your nutrition. Your mood and decision-making can be affected by how much sleep you’re actually getting. Being tired can affect your decision-making about what foods to eat. Make sure to get 6-8 hours of sleep per day so that you can make more informed decisions when it comes to your diet and goals and achieve the weight loss success you are looking for.
Boredom:
It’s almost too easy to chase that dopamine high from junk food when we’re bored. We have a tendency to make irrational decisions about our nutrition when we’re bored. This could negatively impact our weight loss success. To avoid boredom, go for a walk, find a hobby, or when you do get bored, use an alternative food (as mentioned above) instead of junk food.

The Truth About Cancer Featuring: Ozone Therapy, Dental Health, & Cancer | Clip from Ep. 2 of "Eastern Medicine: Journey through ASIA"

In this clip from “Eastern Medicine: Journey Through ASIA!”, Ty interviews Dr. Lo Taweo to talk about how ozone therapy benefits dental health can be used to prevent cancer. Own the documentary series to watch the full episode here: [http://bit.ly/buy-eastern-medicine].

Oral cancer is a problem around the world, and can come as a result of surgery, trauma, cancer therapy, periodontal infection, endodontic infection, or dry socket after oral surgery extraction. Dry socket is a very common problem, and can lead to an abundance of pathogens in the mouth. It also causes chronic inflammation, which has been linked to cancer. Even worse, nearly 50% of all amalgam fillings contain mercury, which has also been shown to cause cancer.

Watch the video to learn how Dr. Taweo has been using ozone therapy to safely treat infected tissue. Many harmful organisms, bacteria, and cells thrive in low-oxygen environments. By introducing ozone, oxygen metabolism is increased, and can neutralize bacteria faster and more effectively than chlorine. You’ll discover how dental health is a major factor for cancer risk, and how ozone therapy is changing the game for cancer patients.

In the summer of 2018, we traveled through Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and India. Asia is the birthplace of natural medicine with records as old as the 3rd century BCE showing the use of specific natural remedies. Remarkably, we still use some of them today! Over 60 experts, medical doctors, herbalists, and cancer survivors tell us what they did, how they did it, and what their results were in “Eastern Medicine: Journey Through ASIA.”

Effects of online gaming on kids

By: Karan Singh

The influence of technology in the field of gaming continues to grow at a rapid pace. As computer and video games have increased exponentially in popularity over time, they have caused significant impact upon popular culture. This form of entertainment has spawned many fads. Video game culture has evolved in time, particularly in connection with internet culture. Today, one can see the impact of computer and video games in politics, television, popular music, and Hollywood. A lot of research is conducted to study its effect on lifestyle and behavior of the wow powerleveling gamer especially kids. Online game is the most sought leisure activity followed by kids now days. Computers play a major role in shaping the future of kids. Days are gone when children loved to indulge in outdoor activities, rather than running or playing outside children spend most of their time playing online games. Online games surely have an impact on minds of kids’ .Taking into consideration it positively is a great mind exercise and helps kids explore many new things. It includes improvement in recursive and proactive thinking, increased sociability, and improved interpretive skills. Research shows that the children who played online games were more active and had sharper minds than their other counterparts. Some video games have been specifically designed to teach people about a certain subject, expand concepts, reinforce development, understand an historical event or culture, or assist them in learning a skill as they play. Computer and videogames also receive much more negative critics because games are often coined with issue such as mindless entertainment, enhanced social recluse, sexism and consumerism. Research shows that kids who play violent video games showed an increase in emotional arousal – and a corresponding decrease of activity in brain areas involving self-control, inhibition and attention. There was a research conducted on a group of children where two action games were included the first game was the high-octane but non-violent racing other was the ultra-violent. The team divided children into two groups, and randomly assigned the kids to play one of the two games. Immediately after the play sessions, the children were given MRIs of their brains. The scans showed a negative effect on the brains of the kids that played ultra-violent for 30 minutes. That same effect was not present in the kids who played non-violent.

Children all over the world seek love and peace from video games, in order to escape abusive parents, siblings, and classmates. The psychological effects of computer games. Some video games lead to aggressive behavior others lead to aggressive thoughts. Much of the debate about gaming deals with the relationship between aggressive behavior and the negative content found in the games. Some studies have purported that there is a correlation between depression and playing computer games. Some psychologists and parents' groups have criticized video games because they believe they cause children to sit alone infront of computer for many hours in a row, interacting with a machine (although chatting can be considered a more socially open environment) rather than running and playing outside as they exercise and improve their social skills by playing with other children. They claim that video games can be even more addictive to children than TV and therefore more likely to isolate them socially in this way. People often think that increased game usage necessarily means increased depression, alienation, and lost of sense of community.

Everyone who plays video games has a different reason for playing and the usage of the game leads to different effects for each individual person. Childhood upbringings, peer influences, pressures at school, and family issues are all factors that have a strong connection with the effects of gaming on individuals. So if a person’s reality doesn’t counter that which is on the computer and television screen, than a child may aim to make the game he plays a reality. From this idea we see school shootings, increased drug usage, and depression. Sure video games maybe therapeutic for some people, but the small amount of people who are negatively affected by gaming impact many. So just like one alcoholic can cause a car accident that can kill twenty people, increased promotion of violence coupled with real life graphics can do the same thing.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you(Philippians 4:8, 9).
There are many things we can think about, but not every thought helps us maintain our peace of mind. God gives us clear guidelines on what thoughts to dwell on.

Creflo Dollar Ministries Featuring: Does God Hear Me?

God’s Unearned Favor

by Creflo Dollar
As human beings, we all have our frailties and insecurities. It’s impossible to effortlessly sail through life without suffering emotional wounds or finding ourselves in painful situations occasionally. When we’ve made a mistake and need a little grace and mercy to help us recover, we may not find it in the world. However, we find grace in abundance when we turn to God.
Grace is unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor. The world doesn’t know about God’s promises of receiving something good without earning it, simply because the world doesn’t know God. To get back into most people’s good graces after we’ve messed up, we may be expected to work hard at following a long list of predetermined rules before we’re accepted again. To receive God’s grace, we simply believe that He wants the very best for us. “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
Whereas grace is the good we receive but don’t deserve, mercy is when we don’t receive the bad we do deserve. This is something we’re probably not accustomed to; therefore, receiving it may be a new experience for us. “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us” (Ephesians 2:4). We may have experienced God’s mercy in the past without even being aware of it. The times when something good seemed to come out of nowhere to prevent disaster, and we knew we had nothing to do with the positive outcome, were the times when God was at work in our lives.
God knows that we all can make bad choices that hurt us or someone else. He loves us deeply and doesn’t want us struggling with a problem alone. When He sees us hurting, He’ll come alongside us to comfort us like no one else can. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation…” (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4, NKJV). This comfort is available because of His favor toward us.
God operates according to a completely different set of rules from the world. We all fall short and miss the mark from time to time; when we do, the prevailing mindset around us can be harsh and unforgiving. When we get in trouble, the world tells us we’re getting what we deserve; God tells us of His love and mercy for us.“The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning” (Lamentations 3:22, 23, NLT). When we go to Him for help, we receive compassion, not condemnation.
Without God, life has too many sharp edges. Trying to find what we need to get us through tough times can wear us out. At our lowest point, He offers us grace. “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly” (Matthew 11:28-30, MSG). He has extended an invitation; it’s up to us to accept it.

DB Chucky Williams picks up Massachusetts Pirates’ defense

IMG 9490 Williams 1024x683
WORCESTER — After graduating from the University of Louisville last May and being released by the Los Angeles Rams a month later, Chucky Williams found himself out of football.

So the 6-foot-2, 214-pound defensive back returned home to Hialeah, Florida, in the Miami metro area and continued to work out and wait.
He waited through the rest of the summer, all of fall and well into winter despite having excellent size for his position and a résumé highlighted by productivity, durability and versatility.
Finally, Williams was contacted by Massachusetts Pirates co-owner Jawad Yatim in mid-February with an offer to join the second-year indoor football team in the National Arena League. He jumped on it like a slant route for an easy pick-six.
“It’s all about timing, so this opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time for me,” Williams, 24, said Tuesday after practice and before a lifting session at the DCU Center. “Worcester was the only team that contacted me, and I guess it’s been a blessing in disguise. I trusted them, and things have been working out well for me so far.”
Same goes for the Pirates, who have won two straight to improve to 3-4 and will look to reach .500 for the first time this season when they face the Predators (2-6) on Saturday night in Orlando, Florida.
Williams has appeared in all seven games and ranks second on the team with 30½ tackles. A principal cornerback and occasional linebacker, he has also been an impact player with two tackles for a loss, seven pass breakups and a 45-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
“I love making big plays, and I pride myself on that big time,” Williams said. “If there’s a big play that I knew I could have made and nobody else sees it, I pride myself on getting better so I can make that play when the time comes. I work hard to make those plays.”
The hard-hitting, but easy-going rookie also brings intangibles in the form of leadership and camaraderie, which is reflected in his recent appointment as a team captain.
“I knew he was going to be a great player, and he’s been nothing but a pro since he’s been here,” said Pirates coach Anthony Payton, who lives just outside Louisville and got to know Williams when he played for the Cardinals.
“He does everything right, is a big hitter, and he’s been promoted to a captain, so I call him ‘Captain Chucky’ now. It’s just a treat to have him on the roster.”
Williams was tabbed a four-star recruit by ESPN coming out of high school and received scholarship offers from nearly 20 Power Five conference schools.
He originally planned to play receiver at Ole Miss, but switched to safety and Louisville after being convinced by then-Cardinals coach Charlie Strong he was bettered suited to defending passes rather than catching them.

Find your perfect car at Autos.com

Suffice to say, the positional change was literally a hit with him.
“When I was on defense, I got a chance to hit a few guys, and I loved the feeling of hitting people and not worrying about anything,” Williams said. “So it just took over me, and ever since then, I’ve been a defensive guy.”
One who went on to appear in all 39 games — starting all but one — over his final three seasons as Louisville went 25-14 and appeared in the Music City Bowl against Texas A&M, Citrus Bowl against LSU and Tax Slayer Bowl against Mississippi State.
All told, Williams hasn’t missed a game since he was a redshirt freshman in 2014, and that had more to do with the depth chart than durability.
“I guess it’s really my will,” Williams said. “There were times where I could have sat out or taken it easy, but this game can be taken away from you at any time, and it was taken away from me not because of injury but for reasons that were out of my control.
“With that being said, I went into this (with the Pirates) not worrying about injuries or anything else and just playing free and being happy to play the game, I feel like that’s what keeps me going.”
And after all that waiting, Williams couldn’t be happier to be going all out all the time for the Pirates.

The National Arena League Live on US Sports Net Featuring: New York Streets vs Jacksonville Sharks Presented by 1800PetMeds

1-800-PetMeds

Preview Week11 Streets
“Revenge of The Sharks” Jacksonville Faces the Empire State
JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks (7-1) enter Week 11 with a vengeance as they face the Empire State’s New York Streets (3-5) for a week one rematch. Jacksonville got off to a rough start in their home opener, losing to the Streets 52-41, their lone loss of the year. Saturday is the Sharks chance to get comeback with dominance.
New to the league, the New York Streets early season flare has faded within the tough competition of the NAL losing four of their last five games. However, against Florida teams the Streets are undefeated (3-0).  Defeating the Orlando Predators twice and Jacksonville once.
The Sharks’ defense will face the challenge of stopping former Syracuse University quarterback, David Legree, who has proven to be very versatile on the ground and in the air. The dual-threat quarterback was the first signee for the Streets yet suffered a preseason injury that kept him out of the lineup until week nine. Legree faces one of the best secondaries in the NAL.  Last week, the Sharks forced three interceptions and 4 QB hurries against the defending NAL champions. Seth Ellis is currently in the running for Defensive Player of the Year and has a seven-game interception streak. He is the current league leader in interceptions with nine. The Sharks strong defensive line looks to put pressure on Legree all night and add to their league-leading sack total.

Buy more, save more! $5 off $100, $10 off $150, $15 off $200, or $20 off $200. Use Code SAVEMORE. Exclusions Apply.

Offensively the Sharks have given up the fewest sacks this season only letting seven. Behind the NAL’s best offensive line are Sharks quarterbacks Jonathan Bane and Mike Fafaul. The two have formed one of the most efficient passing games in NAL. They lead the league in fewest interceptions thrown, yielding only eight this season. Jacksonville is second in completions with 169, pass efficiency 57.5%, and passing yards with 1798. The Sharks are third overall in passing touchdowns this season (38), star receiver Devin Wilson owns nearly half with 17 of them. The Sharks also have a top-ranked running game, currently second in rushing yards (173) and yards per game (21.6).
The Sharks chance at revenge begins this Saturday, June 22, at 7:00 pm at the Jacksonville VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. Join the Sharks for Star Wars night, presented by Clay Eye, where the first 1,000 kids (12 & Under) in attendance will receive a free lightsaber. In addition, the Sharks have brought back the best deal in this galaxy Sharks Family Four Packs starting as low as $64! Family Four Packs include 4 tickets, 4 hotdogs, 4 cokes, and 4 bags of chips for Saturday’s game.
