iHealthTube Featuring: Can you 'Cure' an Autoimmune Condition? And Graves Disease Treatments

Unfortunately, autoimmune conditions have become quite common. Dr. Terry Wahls was diagnosed with one a number of years ago. In this video [below], she discusses how and why autoimmune conditions manifest into different diseases. She also gives her opinion on whether or not an autoimmune condition can ever truly be 'cured'. Learn more at: http://bit.ly/WahlsProtocolA

Graves Disease Treatments
By: Jenifer Wattson

Graves' disease is the only kind of hyperthyroidism that has inflammation of the eyes, swelling of the tissues around the eyes, and bulging of the eyes. Graves-Basedow disease, also known simply as Graves' disease. Graves' disease is the most common form of hyperthyroidism.

It occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks your thyroid gland and causes it to overproduce the hormone called thyroxine. When the thyroid is too active, it makes more thyroid hormones than the body needs. High levels of thyroid hormones can cause side effects such as weight loss, rapid heart rate and nervousness. The thyroid gland is under continuous stimulation by circulating autoantibodies against the thyrotropin receptor, and pituitary thyrotropin secretion is suppressed because of the increased production of thyroid hormones.

Patients with Graves' disease are usually treated with antithyroid drugs like propylthiouracil, methimazole, and carbimazole. Patients may also be treated with radioactive iodine to destroy the hypersecreting thyroid cells. In some cases, surgery may be necessitated although proper preparations may be made as surgical removal of the thyroid gland in hyperthyroid patients is dangerous.

Alternative Graves disease treatments also involve avoiding foods that may exacerbate the disorder. These foods include broccoli, sweet potatoes, almonds, and wheat. People affected with Graves disease are also asked to avoid caffeine, sugar, and artificial sweeteners when on an alternative diet. A good diet would have whole grains, fresh vegetables, and proteins.

The leading cause of thyroid enlargement in developed countries, Graves disease is an autoimmune disorder that is characterized by dimpled skin, goiter, and an increased production of thyroid hormones in the body.

These hormones are vital for your metabolism running properly and your growth. Graves disease comes into play when your thyroid doesn't produce enough or it produces too much of thyroid hormones your body needs. When your body doesn't produce enough of the hormones it is called hypothyroidism.

If you have Graves' Disease, or any other form of hyperthyroidism, and are considering radioactive iodine to treat your condition, you might want to first look into other types of treatment methods. Many people don't realize the potential consequences of receiving treatment with radioactive iodine.

The symptoms of this skin condition include the white patches that can be found in the skin including the face, torso and limbs, white patches in the mucous membranes, around the eyes, mouth and nostrils, the premature graying of the hair and sun sensitivity. If you have been observing these changes in you skin and body, chances are, you have been suffering from Graves Disease.

You can minimize the Graves' disease symptoms like fatigue and jittery with healthy diet that will make your metabolism and immune system work at its best. The hyper active thyroid glands produce excessive thyroid hormones that speed up every process in your body including your digestive system that leaves you with lack of nutrients and minerals.

The problem is that Graves' Disease can be life threatening if the symptoms are not controlled, and as a result, I didn't take my high pulse rate and palpitations lightly. I did consider receiving a combination of the conventional medical treatments and the natural treatment protocol, which I do recommend for some patients.

These vitamins are a good way to treat Graves Disease but apart from taking in drugs and health supplements, modern scientists today have discovered a better means of treating this illness and it is through taking up the right diet.

Graves disease treatment, at the early stages of the disease, is important to prevent further complications. Apart from the traditional clinical treatment of the Graves' disease, there are many natural alternative treatments available that can help treat the disease without any serious side effects.

Graves Disease is the main cause of hyperthyroidism and is caused by a defect in the immune system.

The possibility of Graves disease and premature menopause affecting you at the same time is high. This is because it can possibly cause premature menopause. This disease is a form of hyperthyroidism.

Graves Disease is a kind of disease which causes a malfunctioning of our thyroid gland thus causing hyperthyroidism.

Graves disease is the world's leading cause of thyroid gland enlargement. The thyroid gland is located in the neck, and enlargement of it can lead to goiter, which is, to say the least, uncomfortable.

Graves disease natural therapies include cruciferous vegetables, which are considered to be very good suppressants of the production of thyroid hormones. But the best of them is the radish.

Just before 3:30 p.m., a Deputy responded to Waterfowl Lane for a report of a disturbance between neighbors. Investigators believe the disturbance was regarding a speeding issue in the neighborhood. When the Deputy arrived on scene, he observed the suspect's vehicle speeding in the roadway and attempted to stop the vehicle. At that point, the driver 51-year-old Joseph Hart took cover, pulled out a gun and started firing a weapon at the Deputy. The Deputy was pinned behind his vehicle for approximately 30 minutes as the suspect shot at him Multiple law enforcement agencies attempted to set up a perimeter to assist the Deputy in getting away from the scene, but the suspect continued to fire multiple rounds at the law enforcement officers. At one point in the incident, the suspect said he was going to surrender to law enforcement. When deputies got close, the suspect fired again. The suspect was shot and killed. . All law enforcement officers that were on scene are unharmed. Donate to PoliceActivity: https://www.patreon.com/PoliceActivity

Stand Against the Devil's Strategies!

Ephesians 4:27, The Amplified Bible

If you give the devil place, he will take it. You have to stay alert and keep your shield of faith high because if you don't, he'll turn around and steal back from you the ground you just took.
There have been people who have received their healing and have fallen back into their old thinking patterns of sickness. They let their faith down and gave the devil an opening. When he came along with an old symptom, they weren't ready for him. They fell victim to his counterattack.
You can stand successfully against the devil's strategies! But before you do, you're going to have to make three quality decisions.
First, you must make the Word of God the final authority in your life. Line up your thinking with whatever the Word says.
Next, you must decide to live your life by faith in what God has said. The Bible says, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17, New King James Version).
Finally, you must decide to live by the love of God because faith works by love. Without love, your faith won't function. Without the Word, you can't have faith. So don't try to make one of these decisions without the other two. You need to make all three of them. This lifestyle of the Word, faith and love keeps you in a place of resistance to the devil!
I suggest you get alone with God and pray:
In the Name of Jesus, I commit myself from this day forward to live by the Word of God, to live by my faith, and to live by the love of God.
Decide today to give the devil no place!

Uptempo Offense built for High School with VCU / Texas Press

Run this famous VCU / Texas Pressing System with a great uptempo offense today!
While running an uptempo offense, VCU Shaka Smart (2009-15), posted an overall record of 163-56 (.744) and guided the Rams to five NCAA Tournament appearances. The 163 wins tied him for the second-highest number of total victories during the first six years of a head coaching career in NCAA history. VCU and Duke are the only two programs in the country to have posted at least 26 wins in each of the past six seasons. This was all done while running his famous VCU / Texas Pressing System.
After watching Coach Smart’s teams play I wanted to learn how to run his defense and play like those VCU teams. Once I started researching VCU / Texas Pressing system,  I found it was more than just pressing it was a style a play that requires enthusiasm, effort, grit, and hard work. The VCU / Texas Pressing system is a complete system of play that includes not only pressing but just as important a fast tempo offense that spreads out the defense and allows you to attack lanes and kick out for 3’s. For our VCU / Texas system, I combined Coach Smart’s presses with Billy Donovan’s spread pick and roll offense and broke it down to a simple uptemp offense that gives high school players structure but at the same time allows for freedom to make plays. Our motto is “Players make plays, plays do not make players.”
In this playbook you will find our spread pick and roll offense with each of its three entry’s, multiple set plays, and baseline/sideline plays. Also included is our zone offenses that incorporate the pick and roll to attack the defense along with zone set plays. For defense you will find all three presses we use as well as the roll for each player in each defense. Lastly you will find individual and team drills to properly implement the VCU / Texas Press. Eating for weight loss vs. eating for weight gain.
A successful weight management program requires a long-term approach, one designed to modify the behaviors that can influence our ability to lose or gain weight.
The most important factors in eating for weight loss include maintaining energy and nutrient balance. Severe caloric restrictions will slow down the metabolism, making weight loss harder to achieve. For women this means a minimum of 1200 and for men, 1500 nutrient dense calories a day. Diets under 1200 calories tend to be deficient in protein, water soluble vitamins, vitamin B-12, and Folate.
To maintain energy the nutrient balance should be 40-50 percent carbohydrate, 20-30% protein and 20-30% fat. Carbohydrates remain the best choice for fueling muscles and promoting a healthy heart. A 20-30% fat diet can assure you are not denied the foods that nurture you but limits fat intake to levels that support weight loss.
It's also important to maintain frequency of meals. Three meals a day is standard in our society but no law says you can't eat more often. It's particularly wise to avoid the all-too-common pattern of no breakfast, little or no lunch, and a huge dinner. Several mini-meals of 300-400 calories keep the body's metabolism elevated.
A varied diet is also important for long term weight loss. Avoid eating large amounts of one type off food--even if it is a nutrient dense food--to the exclusion of others.
Some people have the opposite energy problem. They weigh less than they should and have difficulty putting on weight. Some of the aids to gaining weight are the reverse of techniques suggested for losing weight.
First, start with a nutritionally adequate diet and eat larger meals, more often increasing the energy density of the food. Then, consider a progressive strength training program to add body weight in the form of lean tissue (muscles) while you strengthen the body. If implementing these suggestions does not help you to achieve goal weight, you may need to accept the fact that your body is genetically regulated at a lower level of fatness and maintaining a greater amount of body weight may require more time, effort, and expense than are worthwhile.
Regardless of whether you need or want to lose or gain weight exercise remains the basis for any long term lifestyle goals. A balanced exercise program is the key component of any successful weight loss program. weight loss without exercise can have a negative effect on body composition, especially if weight is regained or lost.
So, exercise, eat a balanced and varied diet, low in fat, low in sugar and high in fiber. If you maintain that regimen the body will find it's own genetic set point.
