Taking advantage of the best ecommerce platform
– like those provided by Yahoo Small Business – is a great way to get
your online business off to a strong start. But if you really want to
win your customers’ hearts and minds, tell them how you’ll keep their
data secure too. You’re going to be asking people to disclose financial
information, after all. So, crafting your ecommerce privacy policy to
demonstrate your dedication to protection is the smartest thing you can
do for building consumer trust.
Here’s how to build an eCommerce privacy policy.
Respect and Safeguard Privacy
There are a few ways to respect consumer privacy and safeguard digital information:
Respect
their preferences regarding the use of their information and limit your
data collection solely to what is absolutely required to conduct
business.
Be completely forthcoming about what information you collect and with whom it will be shared.
Let them know how mistakes will be corrected, how their data is secured and how policy changes will be communicated.
Finally, you should apprise users of the means available to them to present any concerns they may have.
Securing Their Data
If
you’re asking for credit card information, bank account numbers or
Social Security numbers (which you shouldn’t need at all), it is your
responsibility to ensure storage and transmission of this data in the
most secure manner possible.
About Emails…
In many cases,
customers will opt-in to email communications without realizing they’ve
done so. When they ask to unsubscribe, you’re required by law to enable them to do so. You
can save yourself a lot of trouble if you make email opt-out options
readily visible. This also establishes you as someone who can be counted
upon to conduct business in an above-board fashion. Too many
sites make the opt-out process incredibly difficult or even invisible,
as if that will discourage irritated people from doing so. Meanwhile,
this irritates them even more. If you’re conducting business with good
intentions, there’s no reason to hide your opt-out button. In fact,
making it plainly visible says you’re someone who can be trusted.
If your site appeals to children younger than 13 in any way, you must comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Acknowledging this in your privacy policy will go a long way toward
helping parents feel good about your intentions toward their families.
Honor Their Preferences
Strict
adherence to your privacy policy is paramount if you want to retain
customer confidence. While not doing so isn’t always a violation of the
law per se, you can expect the Federal Trade Commission to come calling in certain cases if you do not. Making
every effort to keep your customers safe and happy is the best way to
build a strong and loyal following. Crafting your ecommerce privacy
policy along these lines—on one of the best ecommerce platforms
available—will get your store off to a great start. Looking to start your own ecommerce site? Check out what Yahoo Small Business has to offer.

Choosing the right martial art and school for you By: Patrick William
There are many martial art styles
out there and choosing the right one for you may just be daunting and
confusing. Usually which style of martial art and especially which
school to choose are important decisions to make. Though there are
thousands of schools that claim to provide you with world’s best
training, you must be careful and practical in choosing your style and
school. In reality, the choice of "which martial art" is going to
be different to person to person depending on his needs and situation.
All martial arts are good –karate, kung fu, judo, kickboxing, krav maga
– everything has its own goodness in it. You can train any of them, but
when choosing between them you have to consider many practical aspects
so that you choose the right one. What you need to consider before choosing 1. Don’t fall a victim There
are literally many martial art schools that claim to offer the best
martial arts. Well, if they were "the best", everyone would choose them.
When choosing the style you have to use your commonsense to assess
whether their claims is right or wrong. These schools just want business
rather than properly teaching martial arts. Never fall victim to those
marketing slogans that attracts you at the moment you read them. Never
look for a short cut. It really takes a lot of patience and practice to
master anything in the world. 2. List out your priorities When
choosing a martial art, you need to be clear of what you expect out of
it. Some people train for self defense, some for competitions, some for
fitness and so on. You must know why you want to start training. If you
don’t know why you want to do martial arts, your endeavor is most likely
going to fail. 3. Your style As said above all martial
arts are good. Though they can be performed by everyone, to get the most
out of them, you need to know what the differences between them are. Do
your background study and research and know more about these martial
arts so that you will be in a better position to choose the best one
suited for you. You should also be aware of the fact that many martial
arts require formality, these include kendo, karate, kung fu etc. Some
people may not be interested in these formalities. 4. Be practical You
have to be practical in certain things when choosing the right one for
you. You most probably can’t choose kung fu because you like it the most
but you have to travel for two hours to reach the nearest school. Look
in the internet for nearest martial art schools and visit the premises,
meet the instructors and people there. Talking to them will give you
some idea about the place and environment. Choosing the right
style of martial art and school plays an important role in how you are
going to go about it. Keep these points in mind when choosing the style
and do your background-research to find the right style and school for
you.

Winter Olympics-Inspired Exercises: Part 1
The Winter Olympics are upon us! It’s the time of year to get
inspired by the world’s most dedicated athletes. Athletes that spend
their lives preparing and practicing to be the best. They do everything
they can to get even the slightest edge in strength, endurance, agility,
balance and speed. With that in mind, we put together a list of the top Winter Olympics
inspired exercises and the sports that they are best suited for.
ECCENTRIC STRENGTH
Ski Jumping, Alpine Skiing, Snowboard If you are competing in a sport with a lot of impact on the body, you
should be training for eccentric strength. Eccentric strength absorbs
force. When you lower yourself into a squat, you are using eccentric
strength. The constant compression of athletes’ legs in Ski Jumping,
Snowboarding and Alpine Skiing requires a lot of this kind of strength.
Check out these three exercises that can help you build eccentric
strength.
Split Squats – Stand with a dumbbell in each hand.
Position yourself in a staggered stance with your rear foot elevated and
front foot forward. Begin by flexing your knee and hip to lower
yourself down. Lower yourself down slowly, hold for a second then rise
back up. Repeat with opposite leg.
Leg Extensions – Find a leg extension machine and
choose your weight. Sit on the bench with your legs under the pads. Hold
onto the side bars. While exhaling, extend your legs all the way out.
Hold for a second and return to the starting position.
Calf Raises – Stand on a platform on your tiptoes.
Hold the position for a moment then lower your heels below the platform.
Try to get a deep stretch in your calf muscles. Return to starting
position slowly.
CORE STRENGTH
Ice Hockey, Biathlon, Curling Core strength is essential for almost every sport, but it’s
particularly crucial for hockey, the biathlon and curling. Here are our
top three core-strengthening exercises that can help get you into
Olympics shape.
Box Jump – Stand with your feet shoulder-width
apart a short distance from the box you are about to jump on. Drop into a
quarter squat and explode upward with the jump. Swing your hands up for
momentum while driving your feet through the floor to make the jump.
Try to land softly on the balls of your feet.
Body Saw – Get in plank position. While squeezing
your glutes and keeping your core tight, push your body backward with
your forearms as far as you can. Pull your body back to the plank
position.
Oblique Twists with Medicine Ball – Sit on the
floor with your knees bent. Keep your feet off the floor to make the
exercise more difficult. Contract your abs while sitting at a 45-degree
angle. Hold the medicine ball in front of you. While contracting your
abs twist your body and touch the medicine ball to the ground beside
you. Bring the medicine ball slowly back to center and repeat on the
other side.
ENDURANCE
Cross Country Skiing, Speed Skating, Luge Fatigue is the great equalizer. When a great athlete is tired, often
their performance is not great. Endurance is the key to maintaining
intensity throughout your competition. So, whether you are Cross Country
Skiing, Speed Skating, taking on the luge or just about anything else
that requires energy, use these exercises to train for endurance.
Bicep Curls – While sitting on a bench with your
feet firmly on the floor, place the back of your left upper arm on the
inside of your thigh. Keep your arm on your thigh throughout. Put your
right hand on the right knee for stability. Do your curls on the left
side, then repeat on the right side.
Stiff Legged Deadlift – Stand with your legs spaced
shoulder-width apart. Bend your knees slightly. While keeping your
knees stationary, lower the barbell to the ground by bending at the
waist. Be sure to keep your back straight.
Hop Pushups – Begin in a push-up position with your
hands directly under your shoulders. Lower yourself down to the bottom
of the push-up position, with your chest hovering right above the ground
but not touching it. Press yourself away from the ground with as much
speed and power as possible. Your goal is to not only come all the way
up in your push-up, but momentarily leave the ground with your arms
extended. It looks like you are doing a “hop” with your upper body.
Stay tuned for Winter Olympics Inspired Exercises: Part 2. We will
explain the top exercises for Leg Strength and Balance as it applies to
Bobsleigh, Nordic Combined, Short Track Speed Skating, Figure Skating,
Freestyle Skiing and Skeleton. All readers are advised to consult their physician before
beginning any exercise and nutrition program. BPI Sports and the

For many of us, the healing process can seem
mysterious, yet wonderful. Whether we need to be healed in our minds or
our bodies, we have doctors and health care professionals with
specialized knowledge of how to get the desired results, but the actual
healing itself goes beyond them. The mind and the body have been given
physical capabilities of restoring themselves back to health, but there
is a specific force behind these abilities. This force is none other
than God, the master physician. There have been many instances when doctors admit they’ve done all
they can for a dying patient, but can’t logically explain the person’s
sudden recovery other than with the word “miracle.” God is well able to
work through doctors to achieve His desired results, but many people
forget who should ultimately get the credit for their healing. “…For I am the Lord that healeth thee”
(Exodus 15:26). When the doctors have come to the end of their finite
abilities, God’s infinite power to heal is just beginning. People can have a tendency to place their faith in a human with a
medical degree, a bottle of pills, or a prescription. There’s nothing
wrong with physicians or medicine, but misplaced faith does no good when
all else fails and health deteriorates. The faith we need is the kind
of faith the woman with the issue of blood displayed when she went to
Jesus for healing. “And a woman was there who had been subject to
bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care
of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better
she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in
the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, ‘If I just touch
his clothes, I will be healed.’ Immediately her bleeding stopped and
she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering…He said to
her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from
your suffering’” (Mark 5:25-29, 34, NIV). Religion has taught us that maybe it’s God’s will for us to be
healed, but maybe it isn’t. God’s nature is consistent and He doesn’t
play guessing games. When a man with leprosy expressed doubt over Jesus’
willingness to heal him, Jesus’ response was quick and decisive: “Suddenly,
a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. ‘Lord,’ the man
said, ‘if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.’ Jesus
reached out and touched him. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be healed!’ And
instantly the leprosy disappeared” (Matthew 8:2, 3, NLT). Faith in
not only God’s ability, but also His willingness, to restore us to
health plays a huge part in our healing. We also make a mistake when we think that God heals others, but not
us. Thinking like this takes away the hope and encouragement we need,
and it short-circuits our faith. God doesn’t want us to suffer and He
doesn’t differentiate between people. “Then Peter replied, ‘I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism’” (Acts 10:34, NLT). God’s promise of healing applies to everyone who trusts in His Word, no matter who they are. God loves us and He wants the best for us. When we study the
Scriptures on healing, agreeing with them allows God to heal and restore
us. He can easily accomplish what no other earthly doctor can do.
