Major Setback didnt Hold Sean back from Losing 40lbs (Graphic Picture)

I started my life style change the end of August 2013. Certain things would make me notice the weight I was at. When I would get my hair cut I would look in the mirror and realize I didn’t like the person I was looking at. I started working out a little more than I usually had. I lost a few pounds here and there but not to the extent I was hoping for. I’ve been working out for several years but wasn’t getting any results. I was building muscle but without burning the fat it wasn’t showing. I thought I was doing things right and making better food choices but I wasn’t. Eating out once or twice week, drinking sweet tea, and consuming candy aren’t something you can do if your expecting any kind of change. I guess you can’t have a few margaritas a week and expect to lose any kind of weight :) it wasn’t until I started talking to Micah that I really started to understand my body and what I needed and didn’t need. He taught me what food choices I needed, what was good, what was bad, and everything in between. With that and the workouts he had me follow, he helped me transform my body and life into something I am happy to say I’m proud of. Thank you Micah for everything!

THE SETBACK (9 weeks in)



9 Weeks into his transformation BOOM. While at work a broiler exploded and his body was covered in 2nd and 3rd degree burns. He was hospitalized and could not workout for a few weeks. I remember getting the text from him with the pics and story and simply thinking REST and Recover, happy that he is alive. He responded back with I cannot wait to workout and start eating the way i have been again. He swears he recovered so quickly because of all the sweet potatoes i had him eat :) He didnt let this keep him from reaching his goals, the minute he was cleared to workout again he was back at it.

Destruction Of The 'Dad Bod!'

Nate-and-Becky.jpgI only hope the "Dad Bod" fad fades like many others. Sorry to sound politically incorrect, but it is just another fruit on the excuse tree! Humans are designed for maximum performance, health, strength, endurance, and balance. In other words we are designed to be athletic. So in order for out bodies to work with us for many healthy, happy decades to come all Female and in this case, Male humans must do what is necessary to be said healthy and strong.

I have always had some extra fat around the belly and after working out and eating healthy consistently for the past couple of years without seeing results I grew frustrated and finally decided to swallow my pride and ask for help. I knew I did not have time to meet a personnel trainer on a regular basis. I was basically looking for someone that had experience providing plans that got results. I was looking for someone that could provide for me exactly what I needed to do. After researching Hitch Fit, it seemed to fit the mold. Micah made it easy to understand the nutrition, cardio, and strength training plan, and if I had any questions he was quick to respond with the answer.

When I started the program it was about changing the way I looked, but half way through the program it became so much more. It was about pushing myself past my comfort level and seeing what I was capable of doing physically and mentally.

What I learned during my transformation.

  1. You need to be 100% committed and know why you are making this change. You will have moments when you will be tested and if you don’t believe in the reason you decided to sign up then you will have a hard time finishing.
  2. I would invest in a heart rate monitor. Your mind will tell you that you are burning more calories than you really are and the cardio machines in the gym are not accurate.
  3. Make sure you check in with Micah on your check in dates. Take pictures and send them in. Accountability was huge for me and its keeps you motivated when you see the results.
  4. Make sure you only tell people that you know that will support you on your journey. Some people will just not understand and bring you down.
I want to thank Micah for providing the blueprint to change my body and holding me accountable for results. I especially want to thank my wife for not only standing by me but actually motivating me when I started to question myself. She not only gave up Mexican food but she also put up with me when I was tired, grouchy and sometimes unbearable to live with. I want to thank my boys for giving up some of their favorite restaurants as well because they didn’t offer a daddy approved menu, and for being a motivating factor for finishing what I started. Not only did I learn that I could push myself to do more than my mind and body thinks it can, but I learned how much my family will support me in anything and everything I do.

Bad News :(

Three days ago I told you about my new 21 Day Rapid Fat Loss Program that starts 09/01/2014

Well, the response to my 21 day rapid fat loss online bootcamp has been huge.

Today's feature exercise- Ply - Med Ball Side Throw (kneeling) SR

This exercise is used for conditioning for many sports, and it greatly relies on the abs. More specifically the obliques. This is great way to simply make your core hard while enhancing the definition of the abdominals. This exercise once again can be found in many of the sports specific programs of the US Sports Strength and Conditioning System
Please consult a physician before attempting any exercise or exercise program.
Ply - Med Ball Side Throw (kneeling) SR View Video
Exercise Description:

For this exercise you will need a partner and a medicine ball of a weight you can handle. Begin by kneeling with your knees a little wider than shoulder width with your side to your partner. Hold your arms out in front of you. Your partner will throw the ball about a foot in front of you. Catch the ball slowing it as you rotate away from your partner. Throw it back to your partner and follow through. When you throw the ball don't let your heels come off of the floor or pivot on your toes. Throw the ball using your abs. Get ready for the next throw. This video shows the exercise being performed from a standing position. However, you should do this from a kneeling position.

Little Business Note: Your Ads Aren't Working
