Joel Osteen Ministries Featuring: Victoria Osteen - Live the Resurrected Life and Manasseh is Coming

We recently celebrated the resurrection of Jesus in an Easter service, and now I want to encourage you to not just celebrate His resurrection but live the resurrection life He came to give us. How do we live this resurrection life? We have to take hold of everything Jesus has given us through His death and resurrection. He took your sin and shame, everything that would ever try to come on you, and He paid your debt in full. “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west” (Psalm 103:12). We don’t have to walk in guilt and condemnation. We are free to go and live the resurrection life. This is message #762, "Live the Resurrected Life", by Victoria Osteen. Manasseh is Coming

Joel Osteen

In the Scripture, Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, thrown into a pit, and sold into slavery. It's painful when people are against you, but this was his brothers, the ones who should have loved him most. He was falsely accused by a lady, put in prison, and kept there for years. One day he interpreted a dream for the Pharaoh, who was so impressed that he put Joseph in charge over all of Egypt. Joseph ended up bringing his whole family to Egypt, including his brothers. He gave them a place to live and provided them land to grow their crops.

One day Joseph and his wife had a baby, whom Joseph named "Manasseh, for he said, 'God has made me forget all my troubles'" (Genesis 41:51). Joseph had been through all kinds of hardships, betrayals, injustice and lonely nights, but now God had blessed him so much that he didn't think about the past heartaches. He was too overwhelmed with the goodness of God to be angry and bitter or to try to pay people back for how they treated him.Like Joseph, you may have had many unfair things come against you. You did your best, but a dream didn't work out, your marriage didn't make it, you lost a loved one. It was painful and disappointing. Discouraging thoughts whisper, "This is my lot in life." No, get ready. Manasseh is coming. God is going to bless you in such a way that you forget the pain of the past. You're going to be so filled with gratitude for all God has done that you don't think about what you've been through.
It's important to learn to let go of the past, to forgive the people who hurt you, to not relive disappointments. But sometimes it's hard to tune it out. You wake up and that heartache comes to mind. Through the day you struggle with the heaviness that reminds you of what happened. But there will be a day when God is going to make up for it in such an amazing way that you're not going to remember the pain of the past. You're going to give birth to Manasseh. You're not going to wake up thinking about who hurt you, you're going to wake up thinking about how blessed you are. God is going to turn things around to where all you can think about is how grateful you are. You're going to have a deep satisfaction, a joy that you can't explain. God says restoration and new beginnings are coming. The pain is only temporary, but the joy will go on forever.
