Joel Osteen Recent Messages Featuring: Victoria Osteen - Build People Up with Your Words

In Matthew 7:12 Jesus said, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you." In light of Jesus' words, we need to carefully choose the words we speak to others because the truth is that we are going to be a product of what we say. We are going to eat from the fruit of our lips (see Proverbs 18:21). You can create the life you want with the words you speak. If you want grace to come to you from others, you have to extend grace. If you extend grace, grace will be extended to you. This is message #735, "Build People Up with Your Words", by Victoria Osteen. Look Up and Listen
-Joel Osteen

We all face opposition and things that come against us. It's easy to get discouraged and give up on what we're believing for. Sometimes we feel alone, as though nobody knows or cares about what we're going through. We get weary and faint in our mind.

In Hebrews 11, it talks about the heroes of faith and all the amazing things they accomplished. It wasn't easy. They endured hardships, were mistreated and had plenty of opportunities to give up, but they stayed faithful and fulfilled their purpose. Hebrews 12:1 says, "Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." This passage paints the picture of a huge heavenly stadium filled with the saints of old, and the heroes of faith are cheering us on in our race. All of heaven is rooting for you, including your loved ones who have gone before you. They're watching you right now and calling out, "Go for it! Life may get tough, but you've got what it takes. We believe in you." When you're tempted to faint in your mind and settle, look up through eyes of faith and hear the cheers from the heavenly saints.Think of the heroes of faith. They didn't have a Bible like we do today. They didn't have the written promises to stand on like we do. They didn't know how it was going to turn out, yet they chose to believe. Think of David, think of Moses, think of Abraham and Sarah. They withstood hardships, endured ridicule, fought giants, overcame enemies. They made it through the desert without a podcast encouraging them. They made it to the Promised Land without airplanes, without grocery stores, without GPS. They made it without all the conveniences that we're blessed with. Imagine what you and I can do. This is our day to set new standards, to take new ground.

Are you fainting in your mind? Are you giving up on a dream, talking yourself out of doing something great? God is saying, "Get your passion back." Your relatives have paid too great a price and made too many sacrifices for you to stop where you are. Quit letting life's light afflictions keep you from running your race with purpose. When you're tempted to get discouraged, just look up and imagine in that heavenly stadium that people are calling out your name, saying, "Run, baby, run! Stay strong. This is your time. You are well able. Leave your mark!"

Minding Your Business-Get More Traffic

Presented On US Sports Net by Yahoo Small Business!

By: Mahfuz Tushar
Once you have content online, traffic is a must in order to make sales.

People have to see your content or there's no way they'll be able to click on your affiliate links.

If you followed the steps in the training I sent you then you already have a Pinterest profile and are starting to make it work for you.

However, there's MORE you can do with this incredibly effective, free, traffic source.

Studies have shown that people in Pinterest are more likely to buy something they see on Pinterest than those on Facebook or Twitter. Buyers are our target audience which is why Pinterest is perfect for Amazon Associates.

You can't put your affiliate links on Pinterest but, as you learned you can still use Pinterest to drive traffic to your site.

So far, this strategy you've been following has had you rely on Google for traffic to your content - either Google traffic that found the link to your post in search results or Google traffic that found your Pinterest board ranking in search results.

However, relying on one traffic source is risky - especially when that source is Google.

What if the competition for your keyword heats up and you find your content getting lost amidst the heavy hitters? What if Google (again) changes their ranking algorithm and you lose your spot in search results?

Don't think that can't happen - anyone who was building an online business a couple of years ago will remember Google's Penguin update and how it shook up the search engine results (especially for affiliate marketers).

You don't want to just give up on your content when things like that happen. You already did all the work. That content is an asset you own. Successful people put their assets to work for them!.

By building up a following on Pinterest you can use Pinterest to refer even more traffic to your site. Like the other social sites, if you share something on Pinterest and the people who are following you like what you've shared, they're going to further share it with their own followers. Share something really eye-catching and you'll haveinstant new traffic.

But, you have to build up followers on Pinterest first. This isn't hard to do but so many people do it incorrectly.

They use tools that are against Pinterest's terms or they buy followers (which will always be a bunch of junk profiles that won't do you any good), or they follow anyone at all without strategically gaining followers who are real consumers truly interested in the products you're sharing.

I developed a strategy to quickly grow the right kind of followers on Pinterest. I call it PinPlosion.

On that page you'll be able to read what others have had to say about the strategy - it's quite popular and very effective.

Consider the time spent building a following on Pinterest as a form of business insurance. Not only can you get more traffic now but you're insuring that you have another source for traffic should something happen in Google. You can't lose.

If you're ready to get more traffic to your content outside of relying on Google, add this strategy to your toolbox!

Coaches, Pay Yourselves First

Presented on US Sports Net By Volt Athletics

Volt coach Tyler Hales talks to his football team at La Jolla Country Day high school in California.
Coaching is a selfless career.
The boundaries of a coach, in today's modern profession, extend beyond just the field and the season. As a coach, you give of yourself year-round to players, staff, parents, the entire program, and they all demand your time and attention.
After a long day at the office, you then give of yourself to your children, spouse, the program at home, and they all demand your time and attention.
It’s not hard to see that as a coach, you have very little time for yourself.
In the world of personal finance, advisors will tell you to pay yourself first. When money comes in, you hold off paying anybody else—such as Uncle Sam and day-to-day living expenses—and pay yourself off the top. If you are to do it the other way around, pay yourself last, there is guaranteed to be nothing left for you.
In coaching, the same principle is true. You need to take care of yourself first, before giving of yourself to others. If you do it another way around, you will most likely be in a situation most coaches are in today. Giving to everyone else, with very little time for themselves.
Finding time for you is an important part of caring for yourself and your health.
However, it is a challenge. Just saying you want to make time for yourself is not going to cut it. You need to have a game plan. Without structuring your day and making a game plan for your own well-being, it’s not going to happen.

Map it Out

glenn-carstens-peters-190592-unsplash.jpg
One easy and effective way to help you achieve all you need for your family, team, and self, is by mapping out your ideal day.
Here are some suggestions for planning your ideal day.
  1. Make a list of all the places you want and need to spend your time.
  2. Rank them in order of priority. (Hint: You are number one.)
  3. Design your day how you want it to look like, not how other coaches, or the industry does it. This is a critical piece. Far too many coaches feel the need to follow what their coach did, or what the majority of other coaches are doing. If you are spending the time to read this, you want more than just mediocrity. So avoid settling for it like so many do.
  4. Be honest with yourself. If you want to make exercise, meditation, reading, or even sleep a priority, then factor that in. Just because other coaches skip these self-investing activities because they are caught up watching game film, doesn’t mean you have to.
  5. Be detailed. What are you doing from the time you get up, until you lay your head down to rest?
  6. Stick to it.

The Takeaway

It is important for coaches to find time for themselves. Improving yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally will help improve your work as a coach, mentor, spouse, and parent. Just like you do for your team, you need to game-plan how you find time for yourself.
Start by game-planning your ideal day. Then, put your plan in your calendar on your phone, complete with reminder alarms if you need them. Now all you need to do is execute, which is of course what you always tell your players—right, coach?

Stresses Of Being A Law Enforcement Officer and Downshifting

The following video was put together as part of a final project for a capstone course in the Democracy and Justice Studies program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, it acts as both a tribute to law enforcement, and an analysis into the current and past issues law enforcement faces in respect to social movements and public pressure. [Video Below]

Every single day, the government is fighting to rid us of our rights.
• The right to speak our minds.

• The right to bear arms.

• The right to exercise our own free will.
And it’s only going to get worse.
I believe law abiding citizens should be free to go about their business without being detained or molested by officers of the law. To feel secure in their own homes.
To have a way to defend themselves without being considered a criminal.
Trouble is, you’re the only one playing by the rules.
The criminals don’t care they’re breaking the law. Carrying weapons in public places. Attacking innocents for a quick cash grab (or worse).
To combat this growing threat, we’ve developed a new self-defense item.
To fight back when the situation calls.
It’s called the Strikepen Black™
A discreet self-defense tool that you can carry with you at all times.
And for today only, this highly sought-after product is being offered to a select group of Americans. We want to get this product in the hands of the people who really need it.
For FREE. (No tricks. No scams. No hidden fees).
You pay the postage and we’ll send a top-of-the-line Strikepen to your home.
I just wish we had more to give away.
Do it before it’s too late!

Downshifting
By: Tara Hewitt
Would you like to work less and live more?

"The trouble with the rat race is, even if you win, you are still a rat."
Lily Tomlin

Would you like to change to a less demanding work schedule in order to enjoy life more? Do you want to slow down at work in order to 'upshift' in other areas of your life? Would you like to spend more time with your family, invest more time in your hobbies, or are you motivated by a desire to live a less materialistic and more sustainable life?
Who hasn't wanted to step off the ever-accelerating treadmill of work, and gain some balance in life? Most of us, at one time or another, have wanted to move from the fast track of life to a more satisfying, healthier, less work-focused lifestyle. This concept is referred to as "downshifting".
The stresses imposed on our body, mind and spirit by living in the rat race can lead to ill health that affects every part of our being. In contrast, by simplifying our lives and freeing up our time, we have the potential not only to heal ourselves, but also to maintain our optimum wellbeing and increase our overall happiness.

What is a downshifter?
Downshifters can be defined as people who make a voluntary, long term, lifestyle change that involves accepting less income and consuming less. 'Sea-changers' and 'tree-changers' may be thought of as sub-groups of downshifters (The Australia Institute, 2003).

An Australian Newspoll survey indicates that 23 per cent of Australian adults aged 30-59 have downshifted over the last 10 years. Men and women; people in their thirties, forties and fifties; families with and without children; blue-collar and white-collar workers - they are all just as likely to make the life change (The Australia institute, 2003).

Why downshift?
Downshifters may be pursuing a more balanced and fulfilled life; they may want to spend more time with their families; they may be motivated by a desire to live a less materialistic and more sustainable life. They may make the change following a sudden event such as a severe illness, the death of someone close or a marriage breakdown. More often, the decision follows a longer process of questioning (The Australia Institute, 2003).

How do we downshift?
We can downshift by working fewer hours in our present job, or by accepting a job with less responsibility. We can quit our job and find another one that we find more rewarding. Or we can start our own part or full-time business, perhaps working from home.
Sometimes downshifters find they make more money, but are happier and more fulfilled - usually because they have found something that fires their passion, and work is no longer work.
If you are thinking of downshifting the first practical step is figuring out how to work less, freeing up time for valued activities. When you cut back on expenses (which you will do by living simply), you will find you can live on less income and consequently work fewer hours.

Potential downshifters need to ask themselves:
" Where am I now? What is it about my current circumstances that I can no longer tolerate?
" Where do I want to be? Develop a clear vision of how you would like your life to be!
" Look at all the options for your downshift - can you stay in your current job and work less hours? Do you want to pursue another career or start your own business? Can you do your current work from home or go to part time hours? Get as much information about all the options as you can.
" Work out the financial implications and plan accordingly - you may need to seek financial advice.
" Communicate with others involved - your family, your workplace if appropriate.
" Put it all together and take action to make it a reality!
