Imagine
what the apostle Paul must have felt at the time of his conversion.
Before then, he was known as Saul, a notorious persecutor of the
Christian church. Saul even went so far as to track down believers and
approve their execution!
Do you think people trusted him
immediately after his experience with Jesus? What must the reaction have
been from the believers who knew him only as a murderer? Surely Paul
was forced to suffer their harsh stares and questions. And yet God moved
in a mighty way through this former persecutor. Despite Paul’s past,
God had a specific plan for him, and in the power of the Holy Spirit,
the apostle was used mightily to spread the gospel.
Perhaps you
know someone who is hostile to the faith. Can you “preach” to him or her
through kind and loving actions? Perhaps the Lord is planning to use
you as He once did Ananias. Or perhaps you’re the one who’s hesitating,
thinking you’re too far gone to save. Beloved, there is no one beyond
God’s loving grace. Ask Him to speak to your heart today, and follow
Him. You’ll be so glad you did.
You can read any newspaper, look at your TV or listen to your
radio about so many stories of crime, school shooting, child abduction,
child molester, children kidnapped, bullies at school, sex trafficking,
home invasion murder, rape, abused, robbery, war and terrorism!
Sex trafficking is human trafficking for the purpose of sexual
exploitation. It has been called a form of modern slavery because of the
way victims are forced into sexual acts without consent, in the form of
sexual slavery. Perpetrators of the crime are called sex traffickers or
pimp, people who manipulate victims to engage in various forms of
commercial sex with paying customers. Sex traffickers use force, fraud,
and coercion as they recruit, transport, and provide their victims as
prostitutes.
School shooting an attack at an educational institution, such as a
primary school, secondary school, high school or university, involving
the use of firearms. Many school’ shootings are also categorized as mass
shootings due to multiple casualties. Remember the Parkland school
massacre where Nikolas Cruz killed 14 students and three staff members
on February 14, 2018.
School bullying, like bullying outside the school context, refers to
one or more perpetrators who have greater physical strength or more
social power than their victim repeatedly by acting aggressively toward
their victim. Bullying can be verbal or physical. Bullying with its
ongoing character, is distinct from one-off types of peer conflict.
Different types of school bullying include ongoing physical emotional,
and/or verbal aggression. Cyberbullying and sexual bullying are also
types of bullying. Bullying even exists in higher education.
Child abduction or child theft is the unauthorized removal of a minor
(a child under the age of legal adulthood) from the custody of the
child’s natural parents or legally appointed guardians.
Home invasion, also called a hot prowl burglary, is a sub-type of
burglary (or in some jurisdictions, a separately defined crime) in which
an offender unlawfully enters into a building residence while the
occupants are inside. The overarching intent of a hot prowl burglary can
be theft, robbery, assault, sexual assault, murder, kidnapping, or
another crime, either by stealth or direct force. The list goes on and
on. Don’t you think it’s about time we go the war of crime.

Have
you ever tried to do something you haven’t done for a while, such as
ride a bike, play the piano, or speak French? You may have been
surprised to find yourself stumbling a little. When we don’t regularly
practice a skill, we can start to lose proficiency.
Similarly, if
we don’t exercise regularly, we lose muscle strength. Some machines
start to rust and break down without regular use. Food and medication
have a limited shelf life. You know what they say: Use it or lose it.
It’s
not enough to identify our spiritual gifts—we have to use and be good
stewards of them. God gave us our gifts for a purpose. The Parable of
the Talents clearly shows us what happens when we “bury” what He’s given
us: We not only dishonor Him; we also miss out on the joy of fulfilling
our purpose and experiencing the abundant life Jesus promised. (John 10:10).
Parents
take pride in seeing their children grow in mind and body through the
years. In a similar way, our Father in heaven delights to see a humble
heart that is ready to serve Him (Colossians 3:22-23). Don’t miss this moment with Him—how will you use your gifts to serve His kingdom today?

If
someone asked what your gifts are, what would you say? We may struggle
with such questions because we either aren’t sure or don’t want to seem
conceited. And sometimes it’s hard to know if something is a gift or a
talent. How can we tell the difference?
Generally speaking, a
talent is something that you’re naturally good at—such as sports or art
or science—and can excel at through training, practice, and experience.
It can be a combination of innate ability and skill. A gift, biblically
speaking, is something the Lord has deliberately given you, based on His
purpose for your life.
If you’re a believer, then He’s given you
a gift. It might be teaching, preaching, exhortation, giving, or
hospitality. It might be something else. Believers have different gifts,
and that’s the beauty of the body of Christ: Our differences can work
together in unity just as the parts of a human body with different
functions all work together (Romans 12:4-8).
Also,
consider that it’s possible for our gifts and talents to work together.
In fact, that’s exactly what God wants for us—to lead whole, integrated
lives and to be completely ourselves wherever we go.
What do you think your spiritual gifts are? How might God be calling you to use them in a fuller way?
Today on the Matt
Walsh Show, the media and Democrat Party honored Michael Brown yesterday
on the ninth anniversary of this death. Incredibly, they are still
repeating all of the same lies about this case even after their false
narrative has been completely debunked. Also, pro-lifers suffer a major
defeat in Ohio. Now the Left and even some on the Right are saying that
abortion is a losing issue for conservatives. I'll explain why they're
wrong. And CNN excitedly reports on a new study which allegedly shows
that "top surgery" -- cosmetic double mastectomies for trans-identified
women -- have a zero percent regret rate. I will debunk this study piece
by piece today. All of that and more today on the Matt Walsh Show.
