The American Bando Association
also teaches various Bando animal attack routines that is characteristic
of various martial art techniques from India and China.
By doing one
lesson each day for a week, you will possess the knowledge and basic
skills to guard yourself from harm. This is a book for women,
particularly, who can learn strategies to help them protect against
being raped. Bando students are taught how to launch strikes with their
hands, elbows, knees, and feet. Your mind can become stronger, your
skills will sharpen and your power to concentrate will significantly
improve. The recognized organizations and schools are accredited by the
Modern Arnis Remy P. Presas International Organization or MARPPIO. These
organizations and schools teach Modern Arnis in keeping with Presas'
guidelines.
To disarm the opponent, Modern Arnis students
make use of blocks, counter attacks, throws, and locks. The students
will be able to learn the proper technique because the teacher is there
to offer instructions. It was Remy Presas who created Modern Arnis in
the 1960s.
The bonuses in the pack are quite helpful too which include a report
on Ninjas, power chi exercises, the greatest mind training system and
much more. If you are extremely skilled in the martial art form, you may
not need any protection gear. Regardless of what style they're
learning, sparring can certainly help students learn better. These kinds
of equipment can be helpful in giving you better grappling techniques.
Having said that, Bando thaing generally encompasses self-development,
self-protection, and self-defense. The style developed into Arnis
("armor" in Spanish). The name was given in reference to the way the
actors in Moro-Moro plays wore armors and fought with swords constructed
from wood.
The training and practice requirements for acquiring belts vary from
three months for the beginning levels to 20-30 years for the senior
master levels. In addition, they learn to launch strikes utilizing their
hands, elbows, feet, and knees. If you're a newcomer to martial arts,
and just learning, or a seasoned martial artist, this collection has
information that is great.
If you are a novice to martial arts, and just learning, or a seasoned
martial artist, this collection has information that is amazing.
Animal defense strategies are an emulation of the various kinds of
attack techniques that many animals use in their defense. Just like you
would find in boxing and wrestling, you will find a lot of fighting
styles use sparring for training. It's actually a detailed collection of
martial arts teaching ever assembled. Since Arnis mainly emphasizes
disarming the opponent, it's popularly used in the West for self-defense
where attacks involve knives and other weapons. Many people know it by
the name Bando thaing, a term that has a wide range of meanings under
translation. If you want to be good, you will need to have a sparring
partner or you will struggle in a real life situation or in a
tournament.
This can especially be great when you are sparring against people who
are at a higher skill level. Nobody is going to come and help you so
you have to be able to deal with the situation on your own. This is a
wealth of information for any individual who would like to be well
prepared for any sort of enemy.
Students begin with the white belt, then green, brown, and black, the
highest ranking. The book "Seven Days To Self Defense," will coach you
on the basics on how to fight for yourself during a sudden situation.
You will find one book in the package called "The Secrets of KI, the end
of injury" which focuses on minimizing athletic injuries. Injuries are
unavoidable for almost any competitive individual. The official
organizations and schools are certified by the Modern Arnis Remy P.
Presas International Organization or MARPPIO. These clubs and schools
teach Modern Arnis according to Presas' guidelines.
“I am just loving, loving this day! Any time that you can get out and just be a servant is a blessing!” Creflo Dollar Global Missions (CDGM) and World Changers Church International (WCCI) hosted their annual Back 2 School outreach event on August 7th at the main campus in College Park, Georgia, continuing the tradition of providing children and families in surrounding communities with school supplies to start their academic year off right. Forty-nine volunteers from the World Changers Nation became the hands and feet of Jesus to provide relief to families still making pandemic adjustments for their children’s schooling. “I love volunteering at World Changers because it is so enriching, not just for me, but for the people that are in need,” said one volunteer as she passed backpacks to families in their cars.
This year’s event was well-received, despite the rise in COVID-19 cases due to the Delta variant. Like last year, this year’s event was a drive-thru to minimize the contact and maximize the safety for everyone involved. Our team was diligent in making sure the latest CDC protocols were followed. 235 families were helped by volunteers distributing backpacks filled with supplies for school kids of all ages that could be used whether the students are learning virtually from home or in-person at school. A total of 495 backpacks were handed out this year. “My kids were sick and had to miss the first week of school,” said one mother as she drove through the line. “They got extra supplies to help me out, and that was very beneficial.” Another recipient said, “There are a lot of us amd the fact that we can come out here and get supplies for free is amazing!”
The Word says in Proverbs 3:27 not to withhold good from those to whom it’s due, when it is in your power to do it. “It’s our joy to do this every year. Dr. Dollar and Pastor Taffi really want to help the community, help our members, just anyone who may be in need of school supplies,” said Pastor Ken Terry, who leads the WCCI Global Missions team. Another of the volunteers also spoke with us. “I have been doing this with World Changers since 1993,” she said, “I love volunteering because God has been so good to me that I have to give back. Sometimes you can save somebody, help somebody, just by giving them a kind word as they come to pick up something.” That’s a genuine commitment to the World Changers vision!
The mission of Creflo Dollar Global Missions is to provide an understanding of God's grace and to empower change. We are all in this together; meeting the needs of our brothers and sisters is what ministry is all about. Our volunteers prayed with 79 individuals at the prayer station during the Back 2 School outreach and encouraged those with specific requests.
As we brace for more unprecedented times, we know that no circumstance, situation, or worldwide issue can stop the love of Christ from going forth for His people. As we continue showing love for young people, we are helping to shape their futures. WCCI and CDGM appreciate every volunteer that served and every person that donated; collectively, we make a significant impact! Because of the heartfelt participation of the entire World Changers Nation, burdens were removed from many families as their children were equipped with what they need for the upcoming school year. If you would like to support this and other Creflo Dollar Global Missions campaigns, feel free to visit us online at www.missions.creflodollarministries.org. Remember, people like you change the world. Together, we are all #worldchangers!
"Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences
will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for
him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the
sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." (Luke 17:12)
In this newsletter we will attempt to answer three basic questions.(1)
Is the present system of public education Godly or Godless?(2)
Can a Christian remain faithful to God and His law and still send his
children to such a system or does this necessarily involve sin?
And why or why not?
The application (or general equity) of the principles enumerated here
can often be applied to other areas of life also. Public schools have
been singled out because, as the Earl of Athlone (Governor General of
Canada from 1940-1946), said,
"To this day there exists in the world in all classes of society a
veritable revolt against Divine Law, the Moral Law, which they strive to
eliminate from the education of its youth and government of its
nations. Education without religion sooner or later marches to its
doom."(3)
Furthermore, Martin Luther has pointed out the extreme importance of this question, when he stated,
"I am afraid that the schools will prove the very gates of hell,
unless they diligently labor in explaining the Holy Scriptures and
engraving them in the heart of the youth."(4)
Also, there is no doubt that the "public schools have become the established church of secular society."(5)
Moreover, as evidenced by the words of our LORD in Luke 17:12
(above), this is not an issue to be taken lightly. "For a church or for
parents," says Rushdoony, "to have no regard for the fact that their
children are receiving a godless education is a mark of apostasy."(6)
Or, as Henry Van Til states,
"In the great spiritual warfare the forces of darkness are organized
against the Lord and his anointed. Any organization that claims to be
neutral, as do the public schools and some labor organizations, is by
that token denying Christ's claims of absolute lordship over all things.
As such they are serving the cause of the antichrist. To deny this is
either willful blindness or woeful ignorance of the devil's devices and
the claims of Christ."(7)
I hope that the words offered herein will be enough to spark a
prayerful meditation upon the holiness of God and obedience to His law
regarding the education of your children.
What is Sin?
To serve God faithfully we must know the answer to the question: What is Sin?
To answer this question we will turn to what many consider one of the
most useful literary documents ever produced, the Westminster Shorter
Catechism. Its simple, yet profound statement of biblical truth, given
in answer to our question reads, "Sin is any want of conformity unto, or
transgression of, the law of God (1 John 3:4)."(8)
For the purpose of placing the public education system under the
searchlight of the Word of God, this definition, coupled with another
helpful exposition from the Westminster Larger Catechism, will prove
most illuminating.
Question 105 of the Westminster Larger Catechism asks, "What are the
sins forbidden in the first commandment?" The answer reads in part,
"The sins forbidden in the first commandment, are, Atheism, in
denying or not having a God, Idolatry, in having or worshipping more
gods than one, or any with or instead of the true God... (Ps. 14:1; Eph.
2:12)."(9)
The first transgression of the first commandment, Atheism or "no
Godism," with a capital "G", would be more than enough to bring a guilty
verdict against almost all (if not all) public schools.
The public school's own documents, policies, textbooks, teachers and
goals clearly attest to this fact.(10) Almost a hundred years ago, Dr.
A.A. Hodge of Princeton Seminary wrote,
"I am as sure as I am of the fact of Christ's reign that a
comprehensive and centralized system of national education, separated
from religion, as is now commonly proposed, will prove the most
appalling enginery for the propagation of antiChristian and atheistic
unbelief and of antisocial nihilistic ethics, social and political,
which this sinrent world has ever seen."(11)
Most prophetic indeed!(12) The case has also been stated in this way:
"Obviously the schools are not Christian. Just as obviously they are
not neutral. The scriptures say that the fear of the Lord is the chief
part of knowledge; but the schools, by omitting all reference to God,
give the pupils the notion that knowledge can be had apart from God.
They teach in effect that God has no control of history, that there is
no plan of events that God is working out, that God does not foreordain
whatsoever comes to pass... the public schools are not, never were, can
never be, neutral. Neutrality is impossible. Let one ask what neutrality
can possibly mean when God is involved. How does God judge the school
system which says to him, "O God, we neither deny nor assert thy
existence; and O God, we neither obey nor disobey thy commands; we are
strictly neutral."(13)
"The big lie of the public schools is that the God of the Bible is
irrelevant. The textbooks never mention Him. Everyone assumes that
children do not need to know anything about God, God's law, and God's
Word in order to become educated people. This is Satan's own lie."(14)
These testimonies could be multiplied, but the point may be better
illustrated by taking a look at your own situation and responsibility
before God. To whomever you send your children (assuming you are not
already home schooling), you are delegating your God-given authority (in
loco parentis), as stewards of these precious little souls, to have
them trained in accordance with the revealed will of God.
Whom then are you sending your children to?
Is it to those that love, honor, and obey the God of the Bible,
recognizing His Word as the final authority over all areas of life?
Is it to those who understand that man's chief end is to glorify God?
Is it to those who worship God out of a clear conscience, sprinkled with the blood of Christ?
If you cannot answer a resounding yes to every one of these
questions, it is time to seek the Lord in repentance and begin to
rectify this situation. That is, unless you can produce a Biblical
mandate for sending your children to those who are the enemies of Christ
and of His gospel. Can you do this?
Moreover, this is all compounded in the case of those who understand
covenant theology, have taken vows regarding membership in the local
church, and/or have responded at household baptisms, pledging before God
to do all in their power to aid the spiritual progress of the children
in the covenant community.
This sin is doubly compounded in the case of ministers (elders) as
they will "receive the greater judgement" (James 3:1) should they
violate their vows of obedience to Christ and stumble the flock, by
sending their own children to be taught by the "Moabites and Amorites"
of the 20th century.
Soon to be Sheared Shepherds
Gary North, not known as one who pulls his punches, has summarized the situation beautifully:
"Those parents who care enough to get their children into their, the
parents', schools, by financing those schools, will not be so ready to
swallow secular humanism... They are paying for the future, and their
vision concerns the future. The man who sends his children into the
public school system is present oriented, no matter how much he
protests. The war against the enemy of Christ, secular humanism, will
not be won through the leadership provided by present oriented defenders
of the government school system. The battle for Christian
Reconstruction is manyfaceted, but there is a single "litmus test" to
separate the shepherds from the soon to be sheared sheep in this battle:
their support , financial, familistic, and verbal , of the Christian
day school movement. Anyone who fails this test may still be a
regenerate sheep, but he should be recognized as one about to be
sheared. If you choose to lead men away from humanism's shearing, rather
than follow the flock into the shearing room, then start doing
something to build up an independent Christian school... And if you
can't put up with that, then start your own. But stay out of the camp of
the soon to be sheared."(15)
Just in case there are those who remain unconvinced, I will leave you
with one of the first arguments that helped me see the wisdom of the
Christian (and home) school movement.
Suppose a "minister" was asked to teach your children's Sunday school
class at the religious meeting house you attend. This "minister" denies
the deity of Christ, the Trinity, and the plenary inspiration of the
Bible. Would you allow this man to teach your children or would you
protest? If you would protest, why would you do so? Obviously, because
to give your children over to an antichristian teacher is a violation of
God's law.
Now, at what point does it become lawful before God to send your
children to sit under the teaching of this same man at the state
established "religious" meeting house down the road, called the public
school? The only difference in instruction involving a change of
location and time and the assumption of a fictitious neutrality.
Covenant Keeping
"I can see little consistency," stated J. Gresham Machen, "in a type
of Christian activity which preaches the gospel on the street corners
and and at the ends of earth, but neglects the children of the covenant
by abandoning them to a cold and unbelieving secularism."(16)
The excuses for taking the short term "easy" road of public education
are legion among Christians. They range from "I can offset the public
school's influence by teaching my children at home between lunch and
after school" (which only admits of guilt, while at the same time
begging the question), to the always present "I don't have the time" or
"I can't afford it" (though large mortgages, new cars, televisions,
etc., are easily affordable). Eternity will witness the damage that such
a selfish and ungodly agenda produces.
Are you a covenant (law) keeper or a covenant (law) breaker when it comes to your children's education?
ENDNOTES:
A short note and some suggested reading on the related issue of the
State and education. Though the family has the primary stewardship, in
Scripture, of the children in regard to education, it does not
automatically follow that the State has no place or interest at all. In
fact, the character of the State, the purpose of its interest, and
whether the normative or regulative principle apply here are all much
more important primary questions that need to be answered. Some of these
questions are answered in: The Church of Christ by James Bannerman
(1869, reprinted by SWRB, 1991); The Scottish Theory of Ecclesiastical
Establishments by George Smeaton (1875); and A Free Disputation Against
Pretended Liberty of Conscience... by Samuel Rutherford (1649).
Notwithstanding, when the State is against Christ and His law, it is
usually best that it have as little as possible to do with education.
Without the one true and living God of Scripture they, of course,
still have a god; it is not however the triune God of the Bible, but an
idol of their own making (and ultimately Satan), there is no neutrality!

The truth is, most people fail at losing weight because they are
overhyped and don't follow their goals. Even more so, it's becoming more
and more of a problem today that more people are getting to be obese,
these people, currently over 50% of the US population, are simply obese
because they simply aren't educated on how to reduce body fat.
If you don't take action and start turning around your obesity frown
upside down, then you will only keep getting fatter. First thing though,
is to set a goal, don't be too wishful here, set a realistic goal; a
goal you can keep for a good amount of time.
Remember, there are no overnight fixes for losing weight, you have to
keep at it for a good while before you completely transform your body.
Identify Yourself!
losing weight can be very hard if you aren't aware of your own
weaknesses. For example: do you like to eat pizza? Or perhaps find
yourself indulging on chocolate cookies more than once per day. Or maybe
you are one of those people that believes dessert comes right after
every meal?
Understand that these little habits play a major role in your goal of
reducing body fat. If you have any of these kinds of weaknesses, a good
way to get rid of them is to write them down and keep this paper with
you at all times, this keeps you aware of what you're doing. Believe you
can withstand such little urges, and you will.
Refrain From Grocery Shopping While Hungry!
Go to your pantry or refrigerator, if you see those cinnamon buns,
give it the old toss! Cheap food is usually crap food, microwaveable
meals are no-nos, they are packed with sodium, fat, and more carbs than
you need. This includes even those "lean meals" you see on TV, the best
meals are actually cooked, not microwaved.
Though, almost everyone finds it rather difficult to completely toss
away those highly processed foods. If it seems too hard to throw out
those delicious and evil foods then the best thing you can do is simply
hide them yourself, or ask someone in your home to hide it for you, the
less you eat this stuff the more fat loss you will maintain!
Your Metabolism Is Your Friend!
It's no secret; the best way to lose weight is to keep your
metabolism burning for as long and as hard you as you possibly can. Your
metabolism is the basis of the amount of fat you lose every day, the
faster your metabolism the more weight you lose. A very good way of
boosting your metabolism is to eat about 5 meals per day, spread out
evenly about 2-3 hours per meal. Try to eat a variety of whole foods,
don't go and eat processed junk like white bread or hamburgers.
Stop eating about 3 hours prior to bedtime; if you eat right before
bed the calories will turn to fat because your metabolism shuts down
when you sleep.
Here's a big tip: never forget to eat breakfast! It IS the most
important meal of the day! It jumpstarts your metabolism and improves
overall calorie burn for the day by more than 30%! If you're tight on
time during the morning, pick up some whole grain granola bars, they
make for great breakfast replacements!
Hey if you are obese and you want to change that, there has never
been a better time to reduce body fat Go ahead and visit Abs and Fat
Loss for fast and effective insider tips on fat loss.
If your goal is to achieve your
diet goals, eat wisely by choosing a variety of low-calorie,
high-nutrition foods, and beverages in the basic food groups. Select
foods that limit your intake of fats, added sugars, salt, and alcohol.
To create a healthy plate, fill half of your plate with non-starchy
vegetables and fruits, one-quarter of your plate with starch or starchy
vegetables, and one-quarter of your plate with protein. The standard
plate size is nine inches in diameter. Serving size and portion size are
not the same things, but these terms are often used interchangeably.
Serving size refers to the recommended amount of food. Portion size is
the amount of food that you eat.
True or False: "My Healthy Plate" is one of the most sensible and healthiest ways to eat.
__ True
__ False
If your answer was “True,” that is right! "My Healthy Plate" shows
how many servings from a food group you should have each day. It shows a
9-inch plate: half the plate is filled with non-starchy vegetables and
fruits; one quarter has a 3-ounce serving of lean protein.
It is important to eat a variety of foods because:
__ Sooner or later, you will end up eating something healthy.
__ Variety helps you get all the vitamins and minerals you need.
__ Because your mother says you must.
The correct answer is Eating a variety helps you get all the vitamins and minerals you need.
What should half your plate include?
__ Non-starchy vegetables and fruit
__ Chocolate and ice cream
__ Meats and beans
The correct answer is non-starchy vegetables and fruits.
Do you eat small, balanced meals throughout the day?
__ Yes
__ No
Eating small, balanced meals throughout the day can keep your energy up and control hunger. Go ahead try it!
Are you monitoring your portion sizes?
__ Yes
__ No
If your answer was yes, then, Excellent! Monitoring portions will help you to meet your weight loss goals.

One of the priorities of a home
dweller is the assurance of ample security within the place of
residence.
This is why it is critical to have the best home defense ammo
available to achieve this goal. It is not a surprise that a major part
of an effective budget is the allocation of security expense.
The confidence is derived from the knowledge
that all is secure and safe within the home. The feeling of safety can
be delivered by knowing that you have the right ammo to protect yourself
best and your loved ones. It is, therefore, proper to seek and obtain
the right personal protection ammo in regards to the defense of one's
self and property.
The choice criteria for personal protection are varied. Still, an
individual can rely on accredited and proven information to make the
best selection that will fit past experiences to best suit future
variables. For example, a new study conducted by the FBI reported that
the 9mm Luger Pistol model was the most effective among law enforcement
when you factor in the accuracy, round count, and penetration.
This could be a basis also for selecting the ideal option considering
the institution is credible and its conclusion comes from extensive
research. This, however, does not eliminate the consideration of other
effective defense options that may prove credible.
During picking the right selection of ammo, There exist several
variables to examine. The basic considerations in any situation are
specifics like bullet weight, gun type, and caliber. Matching the
perfect kind of ammo with the right firearm is paramount for effective
defense.
Many sellers in the market may not necessarily offer the best
services; therefore, enough research should be conducted to decide the
approved and commendable dealer. Information on the use of the ammo
comes with when you buy ammo but it is very wise to practice and even
seek a professional to aid in the goal of exercising care and due
diligence.
Various types of ammunition in the market finding one that you can
depend on to secures the ones you love can prove difficult. Once you
have gained a little knowledge and training, you should have more of an
idea of the type of home protection ammo that you would benefit most
from.
Control, weight, impact, and stopping power are all major factors in
choosing the best ammo. All that left is seeking out the right
manufacture for the best defense ammo.
Bulk Cheap Ammo is the ammo finder search engine to find
in-stock ammunition, guns, magazines, and reloading components at

God has blessed each one of us with a powerful weapon; our attitudes. Attitude is defined as a way of thinking or feeling about something or someone.
How we think impacts our entire life, either for good or for bad. Bad attitudes can damage friendships and drive people away; conversely, good attitudes allow God to bless our relationships and bring the right people into our lives. (Continued below....)
Blessed first week of September Prayer Warriors!
Today we have another message on the Nature of Jesus and how this nature has been imparted and graphed into us through the cross!
And of course we punctuate it with some loud, lovely praise and worship from two classic Christ-centered Rockers.
(...Continued.....)Our thoughts don’t exist in a vacuum; they’re shaped either by the world or by the Word of God. In light of this, it’s exceedingly important to cultivate the right thoughts and attitudes. We have a choice on what to set our minds on; God gives us clear instructions here. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things...” (Philippians 4:8). What we expose ourselves to influences how we think, and how we think determines how we feel; therefore, internalizing God’s Word protects us from negative thinking.
Our attitude affects everyone we meet. The thought processes governing our attitudes are extremely important to God. He wants the best for us, but He gives us the freedom of choice to decide for ourselves how we want to think. Our decision profoundly affects the quality of our lives. “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!” (Deuteronomy 30:19, NLT).
The thought processes we embrace affect what we do and how we act, which may explain why people with sour attitudes treat others poorly. We live in an overwhelmingly negative, limiting world; absorbing its influence can’t help but damage our own thinking. A bad attitude is the result of dwelling on the negativity and destructive mindsets the world pushes our way. We counteract this by turning over our minds to God. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).
It’s God will that we’re in happy, healthy relationships. The right attitude is a key ingredient in these relationships, and we cultivate them by letting Him teach us the right way to think. It’s important that we resist sinking into discouragement or depression while God is working on us. Focusing on the positive things in life puts us in touch with our joy, which gives us great power. “…Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” (Nehemiah 8:10, NLT).
God doesn’t want us to go through life alone, but depending on our own resources can leave us thinking that it’s impossible to find just the right relationships for us. However, bringing Him into the situation is a game-changer. “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). The key to success is to trust that He’s not only able, but willing, to intercede in this area of our lives. Genuinely believing this keeps our attitudes right where they should be.
"‘And you know the way where I am
going.' Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going,
how do we know the way?' Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way and the truth
and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'" (John
14:4-6)
We live in very bizarre times! We legalize
sin, killing infants at the moment of birth and calling it choice,
putting to death the elderly and those with severe illnesses, and
calling it mercy, all the while legislating away the one Truth which
provides all the answers to all the questions, all the pain and all the
confusion of the world. How can we doubt the presence of the enemy in
the earth when lies and death are legally acceptable, and Truth and Life
are politically incorrect?
Religion, in this "brave new world," has become acceptable anywhere
and everywhere – so long as it does not point the way to Jesus Christ.
Buddha and his shrines are a regular sight in retail businesses. Wicca
(the religion of witchcraft) is recognized by many as the fastest
emerging religion among young people of high school age. Freedom of
religion is touted, but the spoken name of Jesus is not only
unacceptable, and can even lead to the arrest of children.
Ask the man on the street if he's going to heaven, and he will more
than likely tell you that he's believes he will because he's "tried to
be a good person." "Good" is such a relative concept that we have no
choice but to conclude that he is attempting the impossible - - to
create his own road to heaven. Not knowing what it is, or where it is,
he cannot possibly succeed!
There are many roads we might travel, and we have chosen the road we
now travel. You might argue you did not choose your road; it is a
matter of circumstances out of your control. True. many were set on the
wrong road as children, but if we are right now on the wrong road, it
is by our own choice. We can no longer blame our parents' ignorance for
our walk outside the Truth! It's time to come to maturity.
Jesus encouraged His disciples, telling them, "I go to prepare a
place for you. And If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, you may be also."
(John 14)
In His conversation with Nicodemus (John 3:1-21), Jesus says, "Truly
truly I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see (this
denotes physical sight) the kingdom of God." He goes on to explain that
physical birth brings one into the earth, but rebirth of the human
spirit, by the Holy Spirit gives one an open door into the kingdom. He
tells Nicodemus "you must be born from above." (verse 7) Furthermore,
whoever (that's us) believes in Him will have eternal life (verse16).
But how do we do this?
Romans 10:9 gives us the process, "if you confess with your mouth (in
total unity of assent with the mind and spirit) Jesus as Lord and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be
saved." The word used here for saved is the Greek word sozo, which
denotes both temporal (right here and now in this life), as well as
eternal deliverance.
Have you acknowledged Jesus as the Way, the only Way? Perhaps you
have, but you've allowed detours and side trips. If you've never
acknowledged Him as the only Way, or if you'd like to get back on track,
pray this prayer out loud and from your heart:
"Lord, I confess that I've been on the wrong road, one of my own
making. Lord Jesus, I confess that too often I have done things my way,
attempting to create my own path to Heaven. I've diluted your crystal
clear word, to make it seem more palatable. Now Lord, I give up my own
way and repent for each wrong footstep I've taken."
"I confess now with my mouth that You stepped from heaven into the
earth and took on human form, and You died for me, paying the penalty
for my wrong doing. You were raised from the dead and ever live as my
staunchest Sponsor, Supporter, and Backer before the Throne."
I confess the name of Jesus out my mouth as the One and only Lord and
Savior and I ask You to come into my heart and be my personal Redeemer,
the Lord of my life and my Best Friend. I am now and forever Your own
and You are mine. In Jesus name – Amen!"
Hallelujah! If you prayed that prayer and really meant it from your
heart, you are now born again and your feet are firmly planted on the
only road to the Father. It is important to renew your mind daily in
the Word of God. Your spirit is new and reborn, alive in Christ, but
your flesh will only change as you daily give your spirit dominion
through the Word.
