For a number of reasons, muscle building is very beneficial to your
body. Working out is a good way to get a better-looking body and improve
your health.
As an added bonus, it is also great fun! Read the next few
paragraphs for a nice overview of all benefits a sound bodybuilding
program has to offer. (Continued below.....)
2020 into 2021 has shown all of us in the fitness biz' that with an internet connection and a good attitude, we can achieve physical heights with or without our gyms open.
Although it is preferable to have a fully stocked facility at our disposals; with lockdowns and closures we had to adjust and not accept the mainstream media's so called "new normal", nooooo! we step into the extraordinary by any means necessary. Now on with the show!
(....Continued......)In order to build proper muscle, it is very
important that you eat an appropriate diet. Your body needs the proper
nutrients as well as enough calories in order to provide the energy your
muscles need for them to rebuild after an intense workout. Your meals
should have the proper amount of protein and carbohydrates.
When you want to bulk up, it is necessary to eat more. Increase your
food intake to the amount of calories that will produce a weight gain of
one pound per week. Look for more ways to take in more calories. After
two weeks, increase your intake again if you notice no weight changes.
Tracking your progress is important when trying to build muscle. It
can be hard to determine your progression if you do not take the time to
track your muscle-building journey. This can easily be done using a
measuring tape and a notebook. Write down your starting measurements and
track any developments every two weeks or once a month.
Have protein before starting a workout. Whether you have a sandwich
with about 4 ounces of lunch meat, a protein bar or a shake, it's
important to remember that protein synthesis is what is important for
building muscle. Have your protein about half an hour to an hour before
starting a workout for best results.
At most, you need to complete between twenty-five and fifty reps for
each body part, roughly two or three times a week to gain the most
muscle mass. This is going to be very beneficial to serious lifters. If
you strive to do more than this, you may be wasting your time because
overdoing it can lessen the results that you see.
Staying hydrated is vital to muscle building. If you're not staying
hydrated, there is a greater risk of injury to your muscles. As you can
see hydration is important to your overall well-being as well as
increasing muscle mass. Therefore, it is important to stay well
hydrated.
Make sure to mix things up in your exercise routines. As with any
workout routine, you can easily become bored after a while, which may
keep you from continuing. Arrange your workout to concentrate on
different exercises to work different specific muscle groups each time
you visit the gym. Having a new workout to look forward to each time you
go to the gym makes it more likely that you will stick with your
bodybuilding program.
It is difficult to lose weight and build muscle at the same time. You
have to have a high-protein diet to support your muscle growth, but
reduce your fat intake at the same time. Eat foods that are high in
protein and low in fat and refined carbohydrates to reduce weight and
gain muscle at the same time.
Tracking your progress is important when trying to build muscle. It
can be hard to determine your progression if you do not take the time to
track your muscle-building journey. This can easily be done using a
measuring tape and a notebook. Write down your starting measurements and
track any developments every two weeks or once a month.
Try using the technique of pre-exhaustion to prevent certain muscles
from setting limits for you during a particular exercise. One example of
this are your biceps becoming fatigued before lats on a row. Try
performing exercises that allow you to isolate certain muscles in order
to avoid having to use the muscles that are keeping you from completing
your reps. That way when you are working your lats, you are not using
the energy of your biceps, and they can get a more effective workout.
In conclusion, there are many things you can do to increase the size
of your muscles. If you follow the tips mentioned in this article, you
will find you will be able to workout more efficiently and see the
muscle growth you want. Stop wasting time, follow these tips.
The second amendment to the
constitution gives United State citizens the right to own and carry a
firearm anywhere in this country. Why would the people founding and
declaring a new country called the United States of America want all
citizens to own a firearm? The answer remains the same, food and
protection. Remember, rights are not the same as privileges, where
driving is a privilege, but voting is a right. In retrospect, owning a
firearm is your right, not a privilege. It seems the people founding
this country expected everyone to own and use a firearm. Training to use
one’s firearm came naturally by practice shooting for food or
protection. However, sanctioned weapons training were not required
because most families used a gun on a daily basis. (Continued below.....)
Today, Riley Bowman and Matthew Maruster bring to you the latest legislative news and updates. Joe Biden was just sworn-in as our 46th President, and let the Hunger Games begin. Lots of legislation both good--and bad--being proposed across America. Join us to stay on top of these important updates!
(.....Continued.....)Historically, understanding how, why, and when to use a gun was
necessary in family life. Interestingly, the United States Supreme Court
decided one more time in 2010; the second amendment gives all U.S.
citizens the right to keep and bear arms. The Court ruled in 2010 the
right to carry without infringement, trumping state law. The Court’s
decision is directly related to the right to protect one’s life from
evil doers.
Some people say they have no weapon nor do they want to have a
firearm. They do not carry or own a weapon based on the premise one will
never be required. This premise seems based on feeling relatively
secure in yourself even understanding or, at least, considering people
around you are carrying a gun. In many cases, this scenario plays out
daily all around us. Why would one feel secure while believing people
around them are carrying firearms? Maybe it’s because the unarmed
citizen holds all people including the armed citizen, be and act fully
accountable for keeping true to the highest sanctity for human life.
This makes sense because the example mentioned above plays out daily all
over the world, not just the United States.
The same scenario plays out daily because the vast majority of people
owning firearms feel the same unequaled sanctity for life as most
humans feel. If the example here is given credence, then the evidence
speaks for itself. Historically, civilizations do not condone chaos
because humans have always felt compelled to protect the innocent even
over fear of the attacker. Today is no different; most people understand
the sanctity of life and respect one another enough not to use violence
to solve a disagreement, especially when the stakes are life itself. So
it is for most people owning and carrying a weapon.
Personally, I hold the belief that such an event will not occur in my
life causing me to use deadly force. After all, it may be my death.
However, I believe I may be involved in a car accident, even though
people driving understand the consequences of being involved in an
accident. Meaning, drivers are aware of their vehicular responsibilities
and the consequences of their actions. In the same way, most people
carrying a weapon share the same awareness and do not walk or drive
around expecting to be involved in a gun fight, based on the
consequences of being shot. In retrospect, most evil doers also know
people are unsuspecting and attack their victim’s at the most opportune
time.
Unfortunately, evil doers will take advantage of the innocent and use
fear to intimidate their victims. This fact cannot be denied. These
demented cowards use many types of weapons to intimidate their victims,
causing fear and confusion to assist in accosting their victim. The
experts say having a gun could cause one to be killed in an altercation
because citizens carrying firearms are not trained well enough to thwart
off attackers. (1) Experts in law enforcement say citizens carrying
guns may be more likely to be shot with their gun during an attack
because the attackers are assumed to be better trained or have the
advantage of surprise. However, law enforcement does not display
statistics for proof of their statements.
The people writing and creating the second amendment had no second
thoughts about the importance of a firearm. These early Americans knew
they needed protection from all wanting to do harm, even the most
powerful nation on earth at the time, Great Britain. It is no surprise
these brave souls risk their lives by communicating the intent of the
newly born United States. The example illustrates these early Americans
used firearms for self-protection from all, including the mother country
and can be used today for the same reasons, added security measures
with firearms.

We all have an inherent need to be seen in a favorable light. Others’ approval and acceptance of us as righteous can strongly influence what we do; however, the world’s approval is conditional and based on our behavior. This is in direct contrast to the righteousness we receive from God when we believe in Jesus Christ. His righteousness is permanent and irrevocable, regardless of how many times we mess up.
“Righteous” is defined as morally right, justifiable, virtuous, and excellent. No matter how hard we try, we can never be good enough through our own self-efforts to reach a standard this high all the time. Thankfully, accepting Jesus Christ, who embodies all these qualities, makes us like Him. We become new beings, created like God in righteousness and true holiness.
Our faith in Christ, and the grace He offers us, spares us from trying to fulfill the world’s endless requirements to be accepted. Making Him our Lord and Savior allows Him to come and live inside us; because He is righteous, God also sees us as righteous. We’re made the righteousness of God in Him. When the world rejects us, we can take comfort in the knowledge that Jesus, Himself, has welcomed and accepted us.
The world values self-effort as a means of achieving status in others’ eyes; this leads to self-righteousness, which ignores the justification we find only in Christ. By comparison, we find in Him not our own righteousness, but that which is through the faith of Christ. We’re declared righteous not by faith in what we do, but in what Jesus did. Our justification by faith gives us peace with God through Christ.
Jesus living in us means that no matter how many times we miss the mark or how bad our mistakes seem to us, God will never hold them against us. Sin will not be imputed to us, but righteousness will. Refusing to be moved from the knowledge of our righteousness in Him gives us the edge in life.
Prayer:
God, we’re righteous not by anything we do, but by what Your Son did on the cross. We find our identity as righteous and accepted people through Him; we’re thankful for this. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The mind
is such a powerful and fundamental tool at our disposal that so many
aren’t even aware nor able to grasp the fundamental truth so near at
their finger tip.
The mind is the greatest tool that man has been blessed with upon his
sojourn on earth and it is supposed, I repeat supposed to be a handy
man and a means to an end for man to handle any and all the challenges
and problems that man maybe thrown at in the course of his life
experiences.
Yet again man isn’t fully aware of this amazing yet simple truth that
is available to him. He is so caught up and totally wrapped up in the
schemes and mechanics of his mind that he is lost to the real person
inside – his real reality and true essence.
Why?
He think and believes that he is his mind!
Everything that is thrown at him he accepts, hook line and sinker and
believes he is the thinker of the thoughts. He doesn’t even stop for a
moment to even take a step back ask himself if he really the one
bringing forth these thoughts or someone or something else within
himself.
He is totally so wrapped up in his play acting and being in a semi
state of reality where he thinks he is in control but in reality, he is
not in control of anything. Neither his life nor reality for his
choices in thoughts, words and actions.
This whole thing then begets the question – are you imprisoned by
your mind? The one tool that should be a helper and a servant to you the
master and controller.
This creates the obvious reality in the world all around us where so
many aren’t even aware that they are conditioned and controlled and
ultimately imprisoned in their own minds.
They slumber on carrying out their daily activities which they think
yet again is their own doing and conscious thought, but do not realize
that it is till yet a part of their subconscious programming that has
been set in place and motion from childhood.
We are conditioned and programmed to wake up in the morning and go
through our usual routine of everyday life and at night, close our eyes
in sleep and rest and to awaken the next day to the same routine,
practically the same thing for the rest of our lives.
How many of us are even aware of the fact that we haven’t really
consciously chosen our life the way it is and that all that we think is
normal routine is unconscious subconscious programming that has been set
in place from past lives to the present one and to childhood.
In childhood we are trained and conditioned to observe, follow and
mimic people and their actions and suppose and believe, that this is the
way things should be.
We assume that since its family and loved ones that whatever they do
is the right way of life and the right thing to do and as such imprint
that into our mind over and over and over again until it becomes a solid
core belief and starts working out as a reality in your life.
Even when these actions are wrong and morally incorrect, who is there
to guide you and show you that such is wrong and can only lead to
destruction and fatality?
Take the case of children who are born into homes where domestic
violence is the norm and the order of the day and they actually witness
their mothers and sister and other females being brutalized, who is
there to show these young ones that this act is born of fear and anger
and not love.
Who is there to show them that love embraces all and only acts in the
best interest of all its beloved and can suffer and endures all things
for them and for their sake?
Nobody is or nobody cares enough!
So the child registers this in his subconscious and it becomes a
belief and habit and as he continuously and constantly observes more and
more of this scenario in his life, his belief grows more and more that
this is the way to be and the way of life.
His subconscious takes up this view of reality and starts manifesting
it in his life when the time comes after it has solidified over years
of silently and unconsciously cementing it for subsequent manifestation
in his life.
When these cycles then manifest and play out in his life later as a
reality, society labels him and gives him names that are erroneously
incorrect haven forgotten the roles played my family and loved ones in
perpetuating this sad reality.
He is humiliated, disgraced, embarrassed and subjected to trial and
subsequent imprisonment without a fair hearing that is unbiased and free
of criticism and resentment.
They forget that he is just a victim of circumstances and failed
parenting and is subsequently imprisoned in his mind as he believes he
is acting in the right way and would uphold this view no matter what and
defend himself as best as he can.
If people and the society at large would but take a moment to
critically review this case and see things objectively and from the
standpoint of the whole, rather than in parts that the law courts always
have cases involved in, they would marvel and be less critical and
condemning of these people.
They would realize that society failed them as custodians of the law
to train them into responsible citizens, guidance to guide them in
making the right choices and understanding that in life you have a
choice but are not oblivious of the consequences associated with
whatever choice or choices made.
The family unit as a whole also has the responsibility of pointing
the child in the right direction so that the he understands what he is
doing and can make the right choice confidently.
But alas society has yet to understand that crimes of passion and
most cases of domestic violence are actually people imprisoned in their
own minds and guided by their subconscious programming from childhood
which they haven’t outgrown.
In most cases, it is false and wrong images they carry in their mind
from childhood, that no-one has taken the time to help them correct and
which they grow with into adulthood believing such to be true and the
right choice.
In closing, i believe the wisdom below will serve you in life:

Taking responsibility and recognizing that we cause all of our core issues is not a reality for most people.
Taking responsibility to see life differently without justification,
judgement and blame, rejection or anxiety, fear or anger would really
help you in the long run.
Every condition, disease or disorder is a spiritual condition that
has come up for review and to be dealt with and taken care of. Once the
lesson is truly learnt and absorbed, the conditions or situation
reverses itself and clears out and that’s when we say a healing has
occurred and a miracle has happened.
Every problem preludes a negative thought and mindset so watch your thoughts and emotions carefully and guard them jealously.
Nothing can stop you if you have the courage, commitment and the discipline to move through your limitations.
‘Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love’
The purpose of life is to discover who you really are, know and
create yourself and experience yourself as who you really are (not the
body that houses you) as a part of the divine source to give and receive
love and serve all creatures of the divine.
As long as you don’t or you refuse to see yourself as a victim then
life becomes a challenge that you can overcome with commitment and
consistent work and it will pay you back handsomely.
A lesson you avoided in a past life will be forwarded to the current
life until you get the lesson right or understood the reason for it.
Each time the lesson is more intense, than the last experience until you
recognize it.
This is an interactive universe where we all work together in each
other’s lessons and life whether we want it or not or whether we are
aware of it or not.
Our fears always surface when we least expect it and when it does, its better to face the lesson and conquer it.
You can take back control of your life and drive it the way you would
rather want it to be and have things and have things the way you want
it to be.
It takes taking responsibility for all the wrongs that have happened
in your life because whether you agree or not, you are held responsible
for all your:
THOUGHTS
WORDS
ACTION
Nobody wants to listen to your cry of wolf or denial or victim
mentality and it won’t take you far except you sit still, take stock of
your life and determine and desire to turn it around and that’s where
and when the answers or solutions come in.
If and when you are now truly ready to take back control and look out
for the patterns and lessons in your life to understand the mind
aberrations that are causing your problems and have taken control of
your life.
That’s when the creative centers open within and you can finally have
the tools to help you change the course of your life and manifest your
destiny.
To succeed in life, you must refuse to see yourself as a loser no
matter what the prevailing situation or condition might be and you
evaluate what you can do to succeed.
The most important qualities are self-esteem, self-worth and
self-confidence and that you understand that you are entitled to
abundance in your life.
You can do anything you want to and be anything you want to, provided you believe that it is possible.
Victims do not hold that belief!
So ask yourself – are you a victim?

Softball Conditioning - Core Training is the Secret to More Power
Author
Marc Dagenais
We know that the trunk plays an important role in softball.
More specifically, the trunk and the muscles of the abdominal region
are responsible for (1) generating rotational power and (2) stabilizing
the trunk which necessary to transfer a maximum amount of power from the
lower body muscles to the upper body (the trunk links the two). The
power generated by the trunk and the lower body muscles (transmitted to
the upper body through a stable trunk) are vital for actions such
hitting, pitching, and throwing. (Continued below......)

(Continued......)As you can see, it's very important for a
softball player to have a stable, strong, and powerful abdominal region
not only to be successful on the field, but also to prevent injuries.
This is why proper abdominal training is so important. However, too
many softball players don't train their abdominal region properly. Too
often, most of their abdominal training consists of leg raises and
floor-based crunches and sit-ups. While these exercises help develop a
"six-pack" and good-looking abs, they do very little to increase
performance and prevent injuries.
The abdominal region is often referred to as the "core". However, the
"core" is more than just the rectus abdominis (the "six-pack" muscle).
According to many exercise specialists, the core can be defined as the
lower trunk musculature. The major muscles of the lower trunk
musculature are the rectus abdominis ("six-pack" muscle), the external
and internal obliques, the transversus abdominis (deep internal
abdominal muscle) and the erector spinae (lower back muscle). abs big
Softball Conditioning Core Training is the Secret to More Power
Now, the problem with leg raises and floor-based crunches and sit-ups
is that they mostly target one muscle: the rectus abdominis ("six-pack"
muscle) and while it may help make you feel good about yourself by
developing good-looking abs, this muscle doesn't contribute to the
generation of rotational power or the stabilization of the trunk
(transmission of power from the lower to the upper body).
In other words, it is a pretty useless muscle in softball. So, if
your routine consists mostly of leg raises and floor-based crunches and
sit-ups, you are pretty much shooting yourself in the foot!
Most of the influence in abdominal training comes from the
bodybuilding field where the only goal is to make the abdominal muscles
that you can see (mainly the "six-pack" muscle) bigger, more defined and
good-looking. They really don’t care about performance but we do and
that's why we need to do things differently.
To train your core properly, you must integrate into your routine
exercises that will (a) involved many muscles of the core and (b) force
the trunk to stabilize. The key is to target deeper abdominal muscles
such as the transversus abdominis, a deep internal abdominal muscle
that plays a key role in stabilizing the trunk and transferring power
from the lower to the upper body. Any exercise that is not a leg raise
or a floor-based crunch or sit-up (or a close variation of it) is likely
to accomplish these two goals. Throw away that old-school and
ineffective ab exercises and starts using innovative, highly effective
core training exercises.

Jumper's knee causes sharp pain at
the front of the knee. Therapy focusing on soft tissue mobilization and
stretching the quadriceps muscle helps to reduce the pull on the
patella tendon and reduce the pain associated with the condition. (Continued below......)

(....Continued....)What is it?
Patella tendinopathy, also known as jumper's knee, is a relatively
common condition that causes pain in the anterior (front) aspect of the
knee. This pain is usually of a sharp nature and occurs when overloading
the extensor mechanism. The extensor mechanism, which includes the
quadriceps muscles, the patella and patella tendon, connects the
quadriceps muscles to the patella (kneecap) and then on to the tibia
(shin) via the patella tendon.
Patella tendinopathy begins as tugging of the patella tendon where it
attaches to the inferior pole of the patella that causes tearing or
degeneration of the tendon.
What causes it?
Jumper's knee is an overuse injury that results from repetitive
overloading of the extensor mechanism of the knee. Micro-tears to the
patellar tendon often exceed the body's ability to heal the area unless
the aggravating activity is stopped for a period of time. Jumper's knee
occurs in many types of athletes but is most common in those
participating in sports such as high jump, long jump, netball,
basketball, volleyball, or football, all of which require explosive or
jumping movements.
Eccentric loading, which is contraction of the muscle while it is
lengthening, occurs when landing from a jump or when decelerating. In
fact, knee loads of up to 7 times body weight occur in a soccer player
during kicking and between 9 and 11 times body weight occurs in netball
and volleyball players during landing. These eccentric loads are perhaps
the primary cause of overload in jumper's knee.
Differential Diagnosis - What else could it be?
There are several knee conditions that have symptoms similar to
Jumpers Knee and so it is wise to consult an expert such as a Graduate
Sports Therapist or a Physiotherapist who has undertaken extensive
sports injuries training. The list of differential diagnosis may include
the following:
Patello-Femoral Pain Syndrome
Meniscal tears
Fat pad impingement
Synovial impingement
Osgood-Schlatters Disease
How should it be treated?
A good therapist will understand that athletes and sports men and
women do not want to stop training; they will want to do something in
order to maintain fitness and compete if at all possible. Jumpers Knee
is one condition that must be treated with respect. Jumpers Knee rarely
gets better unless there is cessation from training or at least the kind
of training that caused the injury in the first place. By all means
continue to do forms of exercise, which do not unduly stress the
extensor mechanism, but to continue training through the pain is likely
to result in serious injury that may require surgical intervention.
Textbooks will often describe Jumper's Knee as an inflammation of the
Patella Tendon and may suggest the R.I.C.E. formulae (Rest, Ice,
Compression and Elevation) as a treatment however the jury is out on
whether or not there is inflammation in tendon injuries. For this
reason more recent texts will call these injuries Tendinopathy (a
pathological condition) as opposed to some older texts using Tendinitis
('itis' means inflammation) however one cannot go too far wrong by using
the RICE formulae when dealing with Jumpers Knee in its early stages.
Over time, and if there are signs of improvement in the condition,
gentle stretching of the quadriceps muscles will help to re-align the
new collagen fibres that are repairing the tendon into a more linear
configuration. Therefore giving the tendon greater tensile strength when
it is repaired. Gentle strengthening exercises may also be introduced
to stress the new fibres and to begin muscle strengthening of the
quadriceps. Care must be taken at this stage not to re-injure the tendon
by doing too much too soon.
Again, rehabilitation should be gradual until such time as return to
sport is possible. The guidance of a Graduate Sports Therapist would be
useful throughout this injury but especially at this stage as sport
specific training will be needed to ensure the injury is able once again
to withstand sport specific training and competition.
The Authors View
This injury is one that sports therapists and physiotherapists have
encountered on many occasions hence the caution in the treatment regime
recommended above.
Tendons heal more slowly than muscles due to the poor vascularisation
(blood flow) through tendons. Various treatment modalities have been
experimented with to improve the rate of repair including ultrasound,
interferential, NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs),
corticosteroid injections, shock wave therapy, sclerotherapy, nitric
oxide patches, surgery, growth factors, and stem cell treatment.
Since there appears to be little or no inflammation in tendon
injuries many of the treatments above have proven not to be effective.
The body has the ability to heal itself most of the time so the key
to effective treatment of Jumpers Knee is to assist the body to heal
itself gradually. Knowing HOW the body heals and assisting in that
healing process seems to be the way forward.

short for nitric oxide. The good news is that N.O. products offer a lot
of benefits for athletes, youngsters and old age people. As a matter of
fact, these products can have a significant impact on your sexual
health. Let's find out more about it.
Basically, your body is a natural generator of this gas called N.O.
The function of this element is to have your body cells communicate with
each other through the transmission of signals. In other words, this
agreement is a primary requirement for many psychological functions in
your body. (Continued below......)

(....Continued.....)N.O. plays an important role as far as the treatment of many health
challenges is concerned, such as diabetes, opacity, insomnia, and
libido, just to name a few. This is the reason N.O. boosters are quite
popular among people of all ages.
N.O. can act as an intracellular messenger, neurotransmitter, and
hormone. If you engage in regular physical activities, such as intensive
exercises, you need a lot of N.O. As far as sexual performance is
concerned, this element can help boost blood flow. If you have extreme
physical weakness and fatigue, chances are that your body does not have
enough of N.O.
Benefits of N.O.
⚡Increases blood flow to your sexual organs through the dilation of arteries
⚡Regulates blood pressure
⚡Improves your strength and endurance
⚡Controls inflammation
⚡Enhances your sleep quality
⚡Helps your immunity fight off bad bacteria
⚡Improve your memory
Viagra is on the list of N.O. medications as they have a great impact
on the N.O. pathway. If you are over the age of 50 and have narrow
arteries, you may suffer from impotence. Basically, Viagra influencers

flow and blood pressure. As a result, you are at a lower risk of
cardiovascular diseases. Besides, these supplements can help reduce
inflammation and boost the production of N.O. in your body.
Citrulline
The synthesizing of amino acids including arginine results in
bi-product card citrulline. The link between N.O. and citrulline can
have a significant impact on your body in a number of ways. One of the
impacts helps improve your sexual performance.
Long story short, this was an introduction to nitric oxide and the
many benefits it offers to people of all ages. Hopefully, this article
will help you get a better understanding of this element.

(....Continued.....)Our Las Vegas Martial Arts School might seem like any other place to get fit and learn self-defense.
Well, we do help people with that, but there are some more "subtle" things that happen when you train here.
Here are just a few of those "subtle" but transformational things people walk away with...
#1 Soaring Self-Confidence
Something amazing happens when you start to move your body and bring
physical fitness into your life...it creates a strong foundation. Your
child will develop an "I can do this" attitude, determination, and a BIG
BOOST in confidence!
You’ll have a caring group of instructors and classmates right by
your side ready to support you as you persevere through challenges and
strive to reach your martial arts and fitness goals.
As you progress through class, you will quickly realize how amazing
and capable you really are. Knowing that makes you feel even more
confident, less afraid of changes or trying new things and increases
your ability to handle other life challenges that come your way.
Both kids and adults experience this and it’s one of the most
rewarding things to see as an instructor. Kids – especially shy and
quiet ones - blossom as leaders in the classroom, while adults tackle
everyday tasks with more energy and an "I got this" attitude.
#2 Full on Focus
Focus your mind grasshopper...as you intently listen and concentrate
on what your instructor tells you and then do what they taught you.
You’ll improve your ability to concentrate and CRUSH your martial arts
and fitness goals.
What’s awesome is that this intense concentration pours into all other areas of your life too.
Studies have shown that just a half hour of physical fitness improves
focus, heightens problem solving ability, and even boosts memory in
both kids and adults.
#3 Incredible Strength and Fitness
No matter what your starting level is, each one of our students
improves from the fitness level where they were in when they took their
first class. From total beginner to elite athletes.
We strive to make sure each class is filled with challenging and fun exercises that work your entire body.
Get ready for plenty of fist bumps as you achieve things you once
thought impossible. Even if that means completing one single push up,
performing a challenging kick, or consistently showing up to classes
every week. Your couch is about to get soooo jelly.
#4 Gain a Sense of Belonging
Many martial artists claim they always felt like an "outsider" before
they found martial arts. Some of our students just never got into
organized sports in school or felt that social clubs weren’t for them.
But the same students that tell us how they "never fit in" or weren’t
popular seem to come alive and shine in our classes! We provide a safe,
non-intimidating environment where we all want each other to succeed.
We don’t have bullies or students trying to outdo each other.
Everyone is super friendly and supportive. Both kids and adults make
friends with the other members, which then makes our martial arts family
flourish.
We provide the kind of environment that encourages friendship, motivation and success. It's something quite amazing to feel.
#5 You'll Have FUN!
You’ll have an absolute blast in class! Sure, sometimes things will
be tough and training can get intense. But we like to break up the
intense focus and concentration with lots of laughs, encouragement, and
light-hearted humor.
Kenpo 5.0 blends tradition with evolution to make a logical,
practical self-defense system according our times. We are not afraid of
the future, we think we are the future!!!!

Most people have no idea what falling from
grace means. Religion defines it as a descent from divine favor into
sin; however, a correct interpretation of the Word of God gives us a
different meaning. For born-again believers, this is an important
concept that could mean the difference between resting peacefully in
Christ and slipping into painful self-effort. (Continued below......)
(.....Continued....)Jesus’ body and blood provided forgiveness for all our sins, even the
ones we haven’t committed yet, and we can trust in what He did on the
cross. We need to remember this when a religious mindset threatens to
move us away from depending on God and toward depending on our own
performance to justify ourselves before Him. The covenant of grace that
Jesus established operates by faith, not by constant hard work. Christ
becomes of no effect to us when we’re justified by the law; this is falling from grace.
Sin is no longer an issue with God because Jesus’ one-time sacrifice
has already taken care of it. We all make mistakes from time to time;
when we fall on our Christian walk, we don’t fall back into sin, but
straight into God’s loving hands, where His grace ministers to us and
encourages us to get back up and keep going. Our salvation doesn’t
depend on what we do, but on what Christ already did. Therefore, falling
from grace is actually falling back into self-effort.
The salvation we’ve received is permanent and irrevocable. Where sin
abounds, grace abounds much more; in other words, nothing we could ever
do is strong enough to overcome God’s favor toward us. As believers,
we’re not what we do, but what God says we are—saints, not sinners. Our
status as saints and children of God is something we didn’t have to work
for and could never earn; this is something to be truly grateful for.
Prayer:
Father God, Your Son chose to come to earth and die on a cross to
permanently wash away sin. We’re now justified in Your sight by our
belief in what He did, not by our own efforts. We’re thankful that we
receive Your grace by our faith. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A version of this statement is often passed down within families. It
comes from a variety of sources. One is Shakespeare's "The Merchant of
Venice": "The Truth will Out." In Ephesians 5:9 of The Bible, a modern
translation fits the statement: "The light within you produces what is
good, right, and true." Essentially, it is the little voice in our
heart that tells us right from wrong. The world is on fire when enough
people do not listen to that little voice. Yet, time after time, even
when the world is on fire, enough people have listened, combined, and
acted for the collective good. Another quote: "When bad men combine, the
good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an un-pitied
sacrifice in a contemptible struggle." Give Edmund Burke, an Irish
political philosopher, credit for saying something that we all know to
be true.
Tests of our Character
It tends to happen in small groups. Someone does something out of
line. What do the others in the small group do? Usually, they tolerate
the act. Then, the antagonist believes that his/her activity has borne
fruit. It happens again. Most likely, the group will take note, but
will not get involved. A psychologist among them would have an
opportunity to conduct a case study on what has become a group dynamic.
For everyone else in the group, this could be the opening volley of
misery. This is the tyrant in the office, the bully on the school
ground, the rule breaker and mischief-maker. What happens if someone in
the office realizes, after repeated disruptions, that he/she must stand
up to the tyrant? What indeed? If one good person takes a stand, the
rest of the group still must do something. Usually, they do nothing.
"Let Human Resources handle it." "Discipline is the teacher's job."
These moments are a test of character for everyone in the small group.
If someone stands up for right, and stands alone, the stronger
personality will win. Quite often, the stronger personality belongs to
the tyrant. An emboldened tyrant will dominate, much as a sheep-herding
dog dominates sheep that outnumber the dog, perhaps 200:1.
Citizens
People predominately live their lives as members of a human society.
In some parts of the world, those societies are still called tribes. In
industrialized countries, citizens often form around villages, towns,
cities. Folks identify themselves to be part of a district, a state, a
region and a country. Besides geography, people form around their
familial ties, their religion, their sport team, their school, their
earned educational designation (society of engineers, local labor
union). In all of these examples of shared human bonds, the rule of law
is necessary. Someone must lead. He/'she is expected to promote the
welfare of the society through governance. Tests of our character are
found here too. The same people who will not listen to their inner
voice, will not stand up for righteousness, will not support the one who
does, also will not likely contribute to the society. They will not
lead or volunteer to support. They will not vote and will not
communicate with the one who was elected. When trouble comes, they
expect the police to handle it. When their child acts out in public,
they will not correct the child. Their country might have been born
from sacrifice. Others, before them, may have given their lives to
guarantee the freedoms that all of the citizens enjoy. Yet, in time of
need, during crisis, and even during the safe times when voting in the
best leader is so important, so many will shirk their obligation to
their ancestors and to the society's needs today. They will not listen
to their inner voice. "Let someone else vote." "Someone should say
something to that lady who lets her dog C*** on their lawn." "I don't
have time to answer that senator who asked me how he is doing in
Congress." "Those poor starving people in the earthquake zone;someone
should organize food for them." "What is the world coming to? Those
people have just taken another country. Don't they realize that their
leader is a tyrant? I hope we stay out of it."
The Truth
The rule of law only works when society enforces the rule. Many will
argue that there is too much corruption and crime in the world, too
many different points of view to gain consensus on what is right, vast
distances in geography, and greater personal risks today make it harder
to take a principled stand. Yet,no argument has the strength to
withstand public scrutiny or self-examination. When we do not take a
stand, we stand for nothing. Edmund Burke is not remembered for being
correct about the stands that he took. He is admired for standing up.
Any of us who have done that in our lives, look back on the moment
without the stinging rebuke of regret. The ones who stand alone against
the tyrant and bully stand tall, even if they lose. It is the ones who
will not stand with him/her, those who let themselves fail the test of
character, who cast their eyes down to their shoes in the presence of
the one who was sacrificed. But, take heart. Some of the most admired,
good people of societies were slackers for much of their early lives.
One day, they looked up and stood up for right. That became their habit.
The truth will stand when the world is on fire. Truth is revealed by
people who will not tolerate a wrong. When they stand, they are the
rock. Those who stand with them build a stone wall about that rock.
Never are there too many of them to extinguish a moral fire. There can
be too few. Stand up!
