Busy Working Mom 50 Pound Weight Loss Journey!

Busy, busy, busy. That’s one way to describe the life of my rock star transformation Lacey! She’s a wife, a mom of two adorable kiddos, and has a full time career. After a 2017 trip to Disney World with her family, she felt exhausted and nearly sick just trying to walk around the park throughout the day. An unhealthy body was preventing her from really being able to enjoy that time. She knew that it was time for a change, she wanted this for herself, and to set her family on a healthy track for the future too! Lacey lives in the Kansas City area, so I actually had the chance to work with her in person! Lacey got her husband Andy on-board right away too. He worked with my hubby Micah for his transformation process (and lost 86 pounds!!), making it a way for them to get fit as a family and support one another. Lacey embraced the Hitch Fit process, embraced this as a lifestyle change and a new normal. Throughout her transformation journey, she had trips, many work events, stuff with kiddos, you name it..but these were all great opportunities to practice healthy habits even when the routine was a little off. Lacey transformed her body, she dropped OVER 50 pounds and 23% body fat! But what was the best thing to see? How this process has completely changed their family.  The girls are all about making healthy choices since that’s what they see mommy and daddy doing. Andy and Lacey shed 140 pounds combined!! And as you might have guessed, their family trip in 2018 was quite different as both Andy and Lacey are strong, healthy and fit, check out the vacation comparison pix in the feature below!
Way to go Lacey, I loved working with you and being your guide through this process. You are an inspiration to so many!!

Guide to Understanding The Bible with Confidence
By: Francis Hirak

The key to understanding the Bible with confidence is Godly devotion. It is essential for one to train their self in order to achieve full Godly devotion. One’s aim or objective in training their self is not to achieve selfish, materialistic gain. However, there is gain to the one who is content with their lot, who continues in a Godly devotion along with self-sufficiency. "It holds promise of the life now," namely spiritual health, satisfaction, happiness and a purpose in living. It also holds promise of the life that "is to come." (1 Tim 4:7-8; 6:6-8 )

To get the true Bible understanding with confidence, the one professing Godly devotion must recognize its power to change their personality and must be true and genuine in following Godliness. (1 Tim 6:11 ) One must recognize that God’s Word is His expression of the way of Godly devotion and they must conform to its precepts. (Titus 1:1; 2 Pet 1:3 ) Since Godly devotion is toward God personally, His Word and spirit will bring one to know Him personally, intimately, and to become more like Him-to be an imitator or copier of Him. (Eph 5:1 ) Such one will reflect more and more the fine qualities of Him which will lead to understanding the Bible with a clear view. (2 Cor 3:18 )

Bible understanding also includes the necessary element which is spiritual understanding that involves the mind and heart. The things perceived by one’s senses, such as sight and hearing, are interpreted by the brain, and understanding is therefore connected with the mental faculties. ( Compare Job 6:30; 9:11; 13:1; 23:8-9 ) But understanding Bible Scriptures show that understanding in its more vital sense involves the heart as well. As Jesus said to His disciples: Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened? "Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?" ( Mark 8:17-21) So there is interaction of mind and heart in considering analyzing reasoning, pondering and meditating.

Meditation is another key factor to understanding the Bible. In order to meditate properly on Bible Scriptures, one needs to be free from distractions, alone with his thoughts, so to speak. Isaac, for example, went out walking alone in the early evening to meditate, possibly about his coming marriage to Rebekah. (Gen 24:63) It was during the solitude of the night watches that the psalmist meditated on the greatness of his grand Creator. (Ps 63:6) The meditations of the heart should be focused on beneficial things, on God’s splendor and activities, on things pleasing Him. (Ps 19:14; 49:3; 77:12; 143:5) and not on the devices of the wicked. (Prov 24:1-2)

With regard to understanding the Bible by engaging meditation to Bible study, one will not be inclined to give foolish answers, merely out of their head. Their heart will work out the matter of importance and the answers given to understanding Bible Scriptures will be out of the heart. The heart of the righteous studies how to answer. (Prov 15:28)

To understand how important meditation is for Bible understanding let us look at Joshua. When Joshua was appointed as the overseer of the nation of Israel he was instructed to make a copy of God’s law, and was told, "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Josh 1:8) Therefore if one meditates on the Bible Scriptures they are guaranteed sure success to understanding the Bible. And as it goes on to say in Joshua 1:9, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

God is the Source of understanding and the Supreme Example of its use. The splendid coordination and functioning of the universe, in which each creation serves a particular and harmonious purpose, with no clashes or problems resulting due to lack of discernment on their Creator’s part, manifest God’s understanding. (Job 38:36; Ps 136:5-9)

With regards to understanding the Bible, God can exercise insight into the thoughts and doings of all mankind and as He chooses, He gives thoughtful consideration or attention to individuals. He knows His own invincible purpose, what He will do in the future, and His righteous standards are fixed, unchangeable; hence "there is no wisdom, nor any discernment, nor any counsel in opposition to God." (Prov 21:30) He needs to consult no one to understand a matter, such as how to help His servants effectively or to relieve them from distress and oppression. (Isa 40:10-15; 27-31)

In view of the fact that there is no counsel in opposition to God, one must focus their eyes and ears upon God to acquire His help with understanding the Bible. Through Godly devotion, meditation in Bible study, prayer, and the help of the Holy Spirit one will develop an intimate relationship with God. Our Father said: ‘Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand'. (Isa 41:10)

Bearing in mind that we are servants of God, let us ask in prayer for Bible understanding in Jesus’ name for help in understanding Bible Scriptures. Through Jesus’ blood, offered to God in sacrifice, "we have boldness for the way of entry into the Holy place," that is, boldness to approach God’s presence in prayer, approaching, "with true hearts in the full assurance of faith." (Heb 10:19-22) Jesus Christ is therefore the one and only "way" of reconciliation with God and approach to God in prayer. (John 14:6)

Minding Your Business-Email Marketing in 2018 and Beyond

Presented on US Sports Net By Yahoo Small Business!
By: Rimma Paulsen
Having preached about how email marketing is far from dead and taking a look at past mistakes in your campaign, it is time to take a long overdue look at the future. There have been massive strides made in the email marketing space in recent years but there is still plenty of room for improvement. As the lead support rep in North America, I am the first line of defence when a client comes in with a feature request, so I’ve heard it all. While there are some outlandish requests, like the ability to stop contacts from manually placing emails into the spam folder, there have been a number of ideas brought up that really struck a chord with me. Here, I will take the time to go over a few of these concepts and see how they could impact the email game going forward.

Auto-segmentation and Personalization

You may be saying to yourself, "wait a second, both of these are doable right now! What’s up?" And that is true, but no to the extent email marketers want or need. Yes, you can parse lists according to a number of different variables and even customize email content based on pre-set values, but it still largely has to be done manually.

What I’ve found to be a common request is the desire to do more in a fraction of the time. People want to import their list and then have the work done for them. While this may seem like the fantasy of a lazy salesperson, it actually isn’t that far from being a reality. With advances in AI happening so rapidly it isn’t out of the realm of possibility to create a thinking and growing email platform that can cut your workload in half.

Imagine automatically seeing your contacts organised according to age group, gender or location and then a template is automatically brought up based on those segments? It would be quite the convenience wouldn’t it?

The value of a flat out email list just isn’t there anymore; it is about all of the additional data you can collect about that list. Knowledge is power, and the more you know about a potential client the more versatility you grant yourself. With a system that could automatically sort through the information you input, create segments and populate templates with the best variables for that given segment a sales rep could get an exponential amount of work done in comparison to have to sift through everything manually.

An Interactive Age – Branching Campaigns

Much like the previous section, branching campaigns are not a novel concept, though they aren’t the norm either. But this idea expands on that even further. Take, for instance, a restaurant sending newsletters. Today you can have a static image of your menu, maybe an animated banner and links to your website. Wouldn’t it be better to have the entire interactive menu from the site proper embedded in the actual email chain?

Instant gratification has become a staple of the Internet, so why not let your customers interact with your site from the get go? The email routine today goes a little like this:

Email is received

Open the email

Client is interested

Client clicks link and is taken to the website

They then have to sign-in and search for whatever it was that interested them about the email.
Along the way they lose interest because of the back and forth
You can craft the perfect copy but the disconnect between the email and the actual purchasing process can lead to lost sales. If the interface of your email had the same level of interaction as your site you could essentially cut out the middleman and have them make purchases from directly within the message.

Which then leads us to the concept of branching campaigns. Based on the level of interaction a client shows you can trigger different phases of the campaign. If someone is showing a lot of interest the platform would automatically detect this and skip ahead a few follow-ups to take a more direct approach. If a prospect seems a little more hesitant they would be sent down a path with a bit more nurturing. It all boils down to advancements in AI and the ability to implement these ideas into an email without setting off every spam filter on the Internet, but it would be nice!

One-Click Purchases

Building off of the interactive email concept, the ability to make a payment with a single click, through a fingerprint or retinal scan would be a huge boon to sales teams.

This would mainly be for the mobile markets but the ability to make the sale with a single button press would benefit potential clients and companies alike. As mentioned above, there is a current disconnect between the email and the purchasing process. External links are necessary, which leads to unnecessary time being spent and potential frustration building.

We live in a world of impulse buyers, and adding this tool may seem like taking advantage of the times, but isn’t that what we’re here for? If we aren’t going to capitalize on trends we may as well be in another industry all together.

Giving people the option to buy your product or service with the touch of a button will save both party’s time and energy.
As mentioned previously, all of these advancements rely on an expansion of the email platform in general as well as rapid AI development in the future. That being said, it isn’t too hard to imagine these actually coming to fruition in the near future. Nothing will ever beat a hand written letter to a potential client, but to be able to create that same feel in a fraction of the time is an immeasurable asset that shouldn’t be ignored.
Hope you enjoyed this article. If you want to put your email outreach on autopilot while keeping it personal then don't hesitate to contact Reply.io for more information. Here's the link - https://reply.io/

3 Essential Snacking Tips

A big part of eating for fat loss is keeping your metabolism going all day long with small, sensible meals and snacks. In theory, this is simple and easy: eat a little something every 2-3 hours throughout the day.

Unfortunately very few people do it right, resulting in frustrating weight gain.

The content of your snacks and small meals is of utmost importance. If you’re eating the wrong thing every 2-3 hours then it’s easy to gain weight quickly, rather than what you want, which is to drop fat and clothes sizes.

Let’s jump into the 3 Essential Snacking Tips that I have for you today to keep you on track and burning fat all day long…

Snacking Tip #1: Watch out for added sugar.

Sugar is the biggest problem when it comes to fattening snacks, and so this needs to be the number one nutrient that you check. Your frequent snacks should contain very little, or zero, added sugars.

This is a pet peeve that I have: many ‘health’ foods have massive amounts of added sugars, which will destroy your results. Items like protein bars, jerky, dried fruit, green juice, and trail mix often have added sugars and preservatives that you need to watch out for and avoid.

Your snacks should have little to zero added sugars, and should be a nice blend of protein, fiber and complex carbohydrates.

Snacking Tip #2: Check the serving size.

When your snack comes in a package, after you make sure that it isn’t filled with sugar, check the serving size. It’s a popular technique for food manufacturers to give the nutritional facts for 2 or even 2.5 servings, on an item that you will likely polish off the entire package.

If the servings are more than just one then you’ll need to do some quick math. Calculate the total calories, sugar, carbs, fat and protein. Make sure that the numbers line up with your target nutrition sums.

Always be aware of how many servings you are eating in a single sitting. Do the math if you’re eating more than one serving – be honest with yourself!

Snacking Tip #3: Homemade and made-in-nature are best.

As convenient as packaged health snacks are, you will always see better results by eating whole foods found in nature, or snacks that you’ve made at home with real food ingredients. Even the healthiest packaged protein bar from the store is going to contain preservatives and additives that are completely avoided in homemade foods.

A handful of raw nuts, a piece of fruit with fresh nut butter, a hard boiled egg, a homemade fitness muffin (recipe below), some chicken breast on veggies or chopped flank steak on a salad are all better options than any packaged snack.

When possible, stick with whole foods found in nature and snacks and meals that you make at home.

Are you participating in a consistent, challenging exercise program? If not then give me a call or shoot us an email today. Let’s get you started on the best exercise program that you’ll ever try!
