Bowie State Announces 2017 Football Schedule

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie State University football program has announced the 2017 schedule.  The Bulldogs, led by head coach Damon Wilson, will have four home games and six road contests next season.

The Bulldogs kickoff the 2017 season at Seton Hill University on September 2nd in first of three straight non-conference games.  Game time for the season opener has not been determined at this time. Bowie State will travel to Winston-Salem State University on September 9th (4 p.m.) and close out the non-conference portion of their schedule at Saint Augustine’s University on September 16th (1 p.m.)

After opening the season with a trio of road contests, the Bulldogs begin CIAA crossover play with their home opener on September 23rd against Shaw University at 6 p.m.  After taking on the Bears, Bowie State will make a trip to Fayetteville (N.C.) State University on September 30th for a 1 p.m. contest.

Bowie State returns to Bulldogs Stadium on October 7th to host Chowan University (4 p.m.) followed by a road contest at Virginia State University on October 14th (2 p.m.).

The Bulldogs welcome Virginia Union University to the cozy confines of Bulldogs Stadium on October 21st (1 p.m.) and close out their home schedule with Homecoming and Senior Day on October 28th against Lincoln University of Pennsylvania (1 p.m.).

The regular season finale for the Bulldogs will be a road contest against Elizabeth City State University on November 4th at 1:30 p.m.

Bowie State posted a 7-4 overall record in 2016, finished 6-1 in CIAA play and advanced to the conference championship game for the second consecutive season.
