DURHAM, N.C. – Bowie State University sophomore Amir Hall (Bowie, Md.) threw for a game-high 346 yards, completing 32-of-45 passes (5 TD’s) and redshirt senior Jordan Garrison (Baltimore, Md.) had a game-high seven receptions for 65 yards in the Bulldogs’ 55-13 win in Saturday's CIAA opener at Shaw University. Hall’s five touchdowns tied his own school record.

With the win, Bowie State moves to 2-2, overall, and 1-0 in league play. The Bears of Shaw drop to 0-4 and 0-1 in conference action.

The Bowie State increased to 45-7 at the 7:26 mark of the third quarter following a 41-yard Carson field goal.

Redshirt freshman Brandon Adams (Baltimore, Md.) recorded his first career touchdown with 14:10 remaining in the game after a 3-yard score to push the Bowie State lead to 52-7.

Shaw’s Uriah Bethea punched it in for six with 12:43 remaining in the game to set the score at 55-13.
