Blizzard Drop a Tough One in Sioux Falls
The Green Bay Blizzard and the Sioux Falls Storm met for the 20th time on Saturday night at the Denny Sanford Center in Sioux Falls. In a back and forth game, the Blizzard came up short by the score of 44 to 37.
The Blizzard scored on a Lenorris Footman pass to Keshaun Taylor with about 2 minutes to play to bring them within 7 points. The Storm took the kickoff to their own 8-yard line and were able to run out the clock to seal the win.
Green Bay was led by quarterback Lenorris Footman as he threw for 160 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also ran for 54 yards but threw one costly interception late in the 3rd quarter. Receiver Kezlow Smith caught 4 passes for 90 yards including a 44-yard catch and run for a touchdown. The Blizzard defense was led by linebacker Dayshawn Taylor who had 11 total tackles, one sack and another tackle for loss. The Blizzard defense had 2 total sacks and 10 tackles for loss.
The Storm offense was led by quarterback Lorenzo Brown, who threw for 2 touchdowns and ran for one. The Storm defense recorded 1 sack and 2 tackles for loss. Lorenzo White had the games only interception.
Green Bay hosts the 9 and 1 Iowa Barnstormers on Sunday afternoon May 19 while the Storm hosts the Nebraska Danger on Saturday night May 18. Get Tickets....
