Let's Clear The Air About Protein The StrengthCast PowerShow and Lose weight efficiently

Lose weight efficiently

  • Author Lara Romane

SLIMMING OBJECTIVE : FAST OR EFFECTIVE DIET?

You want to lose weight but the diets you have tried so far have not worked? Then maybe it's time to change your method!

Good news: I am against overly restrictive diets, I encourage my clients to change their eating habits and exercise, and this is the only method with which I have obtained lasting results.

The bad news is that my method does not allow for rapid weight loss, such as "losing 10 kilos in 1 week". I prefer a slower weight loss but on the long term without a yo-yo effect.

So which slimming programme should you choose: those that recommend taking your time or those that promise immediate results?

What if I told you that it was possible to lose weight quickly and well, even allowing yourself a few deviations from time to time... The trick is to have a programme and to be well informed.

➔ Nutrition programme

➔ Sport Program

3 fundamentals for a successful diet

1- Motivation

The first prerequisite for losing weight is to be motivated. Whether it is about your diet or sport, you will always have the urge to flinch. At these times, remind yourself why you are doing this and what your motivation is. The first week can sometimes be difficult but you'll see that the first kilo lost is encouraging!

2- Realistic goals

Set yourself goals and stick to them, BUT don't set your goals too high - that's the best way to lose motivation. A goal of losing 1 kilo per week is already very good! And you don't need to get on the scales twice a day to look for progress. Once a week is enough, on a fixed day, for example every Sunday. And if the weight loss is less than you expected, don't panic, it happens!

3- Go gradually

Take it one step at a time, don't go from nothing to nothing overnight. The human body is sensitive and needs time to adapt; it does not like changes that are too sudden. This advice applies to both physical exercise and diet. If you don't do any sport, don't force yourself to do 1 hour a day every day.

Three types of body fat

There are three types of adult body fat: subcutaneous fat (between the skin and the abs), visceral fat (behind the abs, around the internal organs) and body fat depending on the sex of the individual. Each of these types requires a specific control strategy.

  1. Visceral fat

As the name suggests, visceral fat is mainly stored in the abdominal cavity, pushing the stomach forward. The more obese a person is, the more of this type of fat they have. And it is precisely the visceral fat that gives the individual an apple shape.

Cardio exercises are the most effective against this type of fat. All those who claim to have succeeded in losing weight considerably by running have mainly got rid of visceral fat. If you are able to pull in your stomach, you have little of this type of fat.

  1. Subcutaneous fat

Subcutaneous fat accounts for about 40-60% of body fat. This is the fat you can feel under the skin. Aerobic exercise has less impact on the removal of subcutaneous fat. Apart from that, one should follow a low-calorie diet.

On average you can lose 400 to 700 g of this type of fat per week(4), which is equivalent to a deficit of 500 to 900 kcal per day. The body is unable to burn this fat faster. If you reduce your calorie intake even more, you will mainly lose muscle and not fat.

  1. Fat in the lower abdomen and hips

The third type of fat is the one that is defined by our gender. This fat is located on the lower abdomen in men, and on the hips and buttocks in women. The fight against this type of fat is possible if you only have a certain amount of subcutaneous fat.

Unfortunately, this fat is the most problematic, since the body uses it last, after getting rid of visceral and subcutaneous fat. The strategy to combat this fat requires complex solutions.

NUTRITION: CHANGE YOUR EATING HABITS

  1. Re-learn how to eat

The best way to lose weight sustainably is by changing your eating habits. This will depend on where you are starting from and what you are currently eating. If you regularly drink soft drinks or alcohol and eat fast food, you can imagine that these are the first things to banish when trying to lose weight.

Generally speaking, the first thing to do is to reduce your consumption of sugars and fats, and eat more fruit and vegetables. It is necessary to know how to choose the least energetic foods, I advise you to learn to read labels and thus know the approximate nutritional value of common foods.

If you find it difficult to choose your food and understand the labels, I invite you to try the Yuka application. I did an article on it that you can check out, but in a few words it allows you to scan all your food products and get a quality index based on its nutritional properties and sugar/fat/salt content.

  1. Choice of foods and cooking methods and seasonings

Foods to choose

One thing I have noticed with my clients is that they do not eat enough fish. Fish is very healthy, a good source of protein and generally low in fat. It's definitely an ally in your diet, so try to eat fish 2 to 3 times a week. Yes, but fish is expensive; it's true but there are always ways to find cheaper fish, go to Lidl for example, fish is much cheaper, or buy it frozen. Just avoid breaded fish

For meats, prefer lean meats and poultry. Remember that you don't have to eat meat (or fish) at every meal, you can replace it with other sources of protein such as eggs, legumes (soya, lentils), quinoa, etc.

Vegetables: as much as you like! Vegetables and raw vegetables are recommended at every meal. Fruit is also highly recommended but limited because of its sugar content. Prefer low-sugar fruit.

Recommended cooking methods

Meat: grilled or roasted;

Fish: grilled, baked, microwaved or in foil;

Vegetables: steamed, stewed or microwaved

Seasoning and sauces

Add flavour to your meals but use the least fatty seasonings and sauces possible: you can use extra virgin olive oil, lemon, soy sauce, herbs and spices. Of course, avoid all ketchup/mayonnaise, and use as little butter as possible.

  1. Eat unprocessed foods

A simple tip for healthy eating is to avoid processed products, rich in food additives. This technique, used for example in the Paleo diet, consists of favouring fresh products and abandoning the "ready-made" foods that you find in the supermarket: packets of cakes, tins, ready-made meals, etc. Basically, anything that does not come from a farm or a small village. In short, anything that does not come directly from nature. In addition to being very healthy for the body, you will find many benefits other than weight loss: reduced risk of disease, better sleep, feeling of well-being, increased energy, etc.

If your budget allows it, choose organic farming, which is richer in nutrients and more nourishing than the processed and impoverished products of the food industry

  1. Eat to your heart's content

Contrary to what we have always been told, dieting does not have to be synonymous with not eating enough. Even if some methods such as fasting recommend skipping a meal during the day, I think that as long as you only eat healthy food, there is no reason to deprive yourself and not eat enough (without excess either, it's like everything else). You won't get fat by eating green vegetables!

Reducing quantities too drastically and not reaching our daily calorie requirements presents a real risk of nutritional deficiencies. Our body needs to be supplied with nutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, fats, fibre, vitamins and minerals). That's why it's important to eat your 5 fruits and vegetables a day. Tip: don't hesitate to eat your vegetables frozen if you don't have the time to prepare them, contrary to some preconceived ideas they are very good! Don't confuse frozen vegetables with frozen ready meals.

If you have vitamin and mineral deficiencies, you can make up for them with food supplements in the form of courses.

The risks of a quick diet

Even though we're always eager to see results, the sustainable diet is the most effective. If you still want to try a magic diet to lose weight quickly, here are a few things that might (hopefully) make you not want to:

Guaranteed yo-yo effect: A diet that is too deprived conditions your metabolism for the next "attack". As it is no longer used to receiving fats, at the first deviation or return to normal it will store more fats than before to face possible future periods of dieting. Result: you get fatter. When you see that you have gained weight again, you go back on a diet, and so on. You never get out of it.

With a drastic diet you will not provide your body with its daily needs in vitamins and minerals, which will result in increased fatigue and a decrease in your immune system (you will fall ill more often, etc.).

Deficiencies make your nails and hair more fragile.

Loss of muscle mass: Even if the aim is to burn fat quickly, your body will often burn muscle mass first. The result: you lose your shape (=flat buttocks). To avoid this, you need to eat a balanced diet rich in protein and do sports to build up muscle mass.

You are more prone to stress and psychological problems.

obviously, it is better to follow a training course which will be much more complete than my article

it has been proven that using a paid subscription increases the probability of succeeding in your diet by 45% (obviously if this subscription is effective), which is why I recommend this one which has been tested and approved by me: bit.ly/control-your-health

have a nice day and hope that this article has very been very useful to you!

Tactical P.E. Featuring Concealed Carry: President Biden Recommends F-15’s and Nukes

by

In a June 23, 2021 address, President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland delivered remarks on the administration's strategy to prevent gun crime.

There is much to dissect in what the president said related to the future of gun rights. I will not examine everything the president said during the address because there is a lot. I do, however, want to point out a few statements I found “interesting.”

Joe Biden

The thrust of the plan rests squarely on, you guessed it, guns and the Second Amendment. More specifically, how inanimate objects are the root of the problem, and the president's explanation of a Second Amendment not found in the United States Constitution.

FFL's to Blame?

Both the AG and president pointed out that federal firearms dealers (FFL's) have a role to play in keeping guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them. The president presented the following statistic:

90% of the guns recovered from crime scenes, were traced as coming from 5% of FFL's

Now I don't have anything to refute that claim, so let's take it as truth. If that is the case, wouldn't it be a massive win if the ATF used its authority to enforce existing laws that govern FFL's and firearm transfers instead of diverting their apparent limited resources to reinventing definitions to criminalize the law-abiding?

atf gun control

I know it seems too simple, but perhaps that's why it would affect. We often pass over simple solutions because we want to be revolutionary. The ATF has the authority to prosecute and regulate FFL's as well as those making straw purchases or by lying of the ATF Form 4473. Now we're told that 90% of crime-scene guns have a link to the ATF's ineffectiveness. Admittedly I am not a genius, but I am not sure how taking away your's or my AR-15(s) would impact guns used in crimes.

Ghost guns, Magazine Capacity limitations, and Pistol Braces Oh My!

Nevertheless, they brought out the usual boogeymen. Ghost guns, magazine limits, and stabilizing braces are things a civil society just can't tolerate. But, unfortunately, no one presented statistics on the number of crime-scene guns equipped with stabilizing braces. And we weren't privy to any data explaining how limiting a magazine to 9 rounds from 10 rounds would save lives.

But you know, that was never the point. Anyone who honestly looks at these ideas knows these measures have zero effect on reducing violent crime. For some reference, here is an explanation of what stabilizing braces are.

We Get It, Deer Don't Wear Kevlar Vests:

The president commented on deer not wearing kevlar vests. He apparently thought this was rather witty because he said it two times. Both times it was to substantiate his assertion that Americans “don't need a gun that holds 30, 40, 50 or 100 rounds.”

The speechwriters need to be aware that the Second Amendment doesn't give us the “right to hunt deer.” Sure, no one dumps 100 rounds of 5.56 into a deer. You probably wouldn't be able to eat it, and that much ammo would be expensive. However, people have guns that accept magazines of 30, 40, 50, or 100 rounds because…well, reloading while your attacked sucks. Magazine limit restrictions are just one of many feel-good, do-nothing efforts politicians use that appease the base. Here is a post on why magazine limit restrictions are worthless.

No Do-Over's On The Second Amendment:

At one point, the president needed to address the elephant in the room. They must have thought, we simply can't push for all these ridiculous gun laws. Especially in light of the Second Amendment and the case law supporting the individual's right to possess firearms in common use for self-protection. So instead, the president created a phony second amendment.

I must say, it seems convenient, but at least as of the time of this post, the president can't unilaterally change the Constitution. No matter how fantastic his son's artwork is.

Vincent VanBiden

Hunter van Gogh – let's hope he keeps both of his ears attached.

The president said:

I might add that the Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type people who could own a gun, and what type of weapon you could own. You couldn't buy a cannon

What? Here is the real Second Amendment that the rest of the country uses:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.  Keep reading......

GODLY SINGLES

by Creflo Dollar

In the natural realm, the single life can sometimes seem like we’re navigating a land mine. If we’re not careful, some of the dating relationships we enter into can put us in a compromising position.

Popular culture tells us to abandon our Christian principles if we want to find the right person for us. However, as born-again believers living in the supernatural realm, we know that this is simply not true.

Meeting that one special individual can be like running a marathon. It doesn’t happen right away; we need faith to endure in the search. Faith isn’t simply “putting up with,” but being constantly, consistently the same in all circumstances. Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow” (James 1:2, 3, NLT). Being joyful in the search isn’t something the world is familiar with, but we find our joy in our relationship with Jesus.

We can meet all kinds of people with all kinds of motives. If we were to conduct our search without God’s help, there are too many unknowns. When we’re not sure of someone’s motives, we can ask the Holy Spirit. He knows things we’re completely unaware of, and He wants to warn us of impending danger so we won’t be blindsided. “But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).

We all want to be happy; however, the world’s idea of happiness is fleeting and temporary. We don’t find it in another person, a social event, or a particular marital status. We only find happiness through a relationship with Christ. Being in His presence grounds us and prepares us for a successful, happy relationship with another person. “Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually” (1 Chronicles 16:11).

Most people confuse happiness with joy; there’s a difference between the two words. Happiness comes from how we feel; joy comes from what we know. The more we study the Word of God, the more we know about how He feels about us. “…For he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye” (Zechariah 2:8). When we realize we’re God’s beloved, we tap into a source of joy that radiates from the inside out.

A relationship with God is like no other earthly relationship. It strengthens, comforts, and sets us apart from the rest of the world. Because He loves us, we can love ourselves. The ability to love and respect ourselves enables us to love and respect others and develop healthy relationships with them. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 1:5-8, NIV).

There’s no reason to let secular influences get to us when we can rely on the influence of God, Himself. He knows just what we need; we can trust Him in everything, including in our personal relationships. Things always turn out well when we let God take the lead.

The Needful Thing and CDM GLOBAL MISSIONS’ IN-PERSON OUTREACH

Creflo Dollar Ministries (CDM) has partnered with organizations around the globe to be the hands and feet of Jesus in communities where lack exists. We do this work through the Creflo Dollar Global Missions (CDGM) department led by Pastors Archie and Melissa Collins, and under the leadership of Pastor Ken Terry, who is responsible for all outreach activities. (Continued below.....)

CDGM has committed to changing the world, one person at a time. In metro Atlanta alone this year, we have been able to meet needs of the homeless at Renaissance Park, as well as those residing in the Atlanta Children’s Shelter and Trinity Community Ministry (a shelter for men). The COVID-19 pandemic impacted our ability to do any face-to-face outreach for over a year. Many shelters and facilities in the community did not allow groups to physically enter their buildings to directly provide resources and outreach. We had to donate items to the organizations so that they could redistribute them to people in need. However, once COVID restrictions began to lift, our team of volunteers was able to do in-person outreach.

Trulli

First In-Person Outreach Since COVID

We recently caught up with Tiffany Johnson, a CDGM volunteer, to get a glimpse of their first in-person outreach activity since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Tiffany joined CDGM in mid-2020, and, along with Mari Sawyer and Jerome Curry, is part of the planning group for local outreaches. They help manage the logistics of the local outreach events, such as the Back 2 SchoolThanksgiving Feeding Families, and the Christmas Giveaway, as well as smaller events. Tiffany was tasked by Mari Sawyer with heading up the local homeless outreach this year and took on the task with zeal. She is passionate about the face-to-face interaction; her concern was the ministry of a human to a human. The Global Missions team felt there was something that we, as World Changers, needed to reactivate coming out of COVID, and that was the human to human contact.

Trulli

Tiffany began by visiting the warehouse at the CDM College Park campus to see what inventory we had on hand. She saw that, though CDM has been conducting weekly outreach through drive-thru food giveaways, a lot of non-food items hadn’t moved during the year. Creflo Dollar Ministries had a surplus, and Tiffany’s heart was to get the supplies out there to the folks who need them. She contacted multiple metro Atlanta organizations in person or by phone. Some are not allowing people to come in and interact directly with their clients; others didn’t return her phone calls. In several of the organizations, their clients are mobile and there was no guarantee that there would be enough clients available to receive all of the supplies on whatever day the ministry was there. Despite these obstacles, CDGM found an organization that would allow them to come: the Salvation Army Red Shield Service.

About the Salvation Army Red Shield Service

Trulli

The Salvation Army Red Shield Service is a 320-bed facility. According to their website, the purpose of The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Red Shield Services Emergency and Transitional Housing Facility (Red Shield Shelter) is to provide strategic intervention, refuge, and safe lodging for homeless men, women, and families with children in crisis.

Tiffany appreciated that the facility takes a wholistic approach to being a resource for its clients. This shelter has a total life outreach in that they don’t just provide a bed. They have a teen lounge, a gym, a living space with bookshelves and a television, and a full playground. They’re aware that homelessness is not just a need for a roof, and they attempt to minister to the whole life of each person seeking temporary shelter there. In their cafeteria, they have an annual father-daughter dance where dads can create new memories with their daughters, and host an annual alumni recovery picnic. There are caseworkers onsite for emergency financial assistance and rapid re-housing for families and individuals who need assistance getting back into housing, as well as with the required rental down payments and rental fees.

Volunteers’ Preparations

Trulli

Of the items donated to Salvation Army Red Shield clients, a third came from the CDM warehouse, 50% came from CDGM volunteers (hygiene and snack items), and the remainder came from Tiffany’s community of Fayetteville, Georgia. The evening before the outreach event, the Global Missions team met to prepare all of the collected items. They packaged hygiene kits, snack kits, linens, ironing boards, toilet paper, and food, such as rice, juice, and cereal cups.

On the day of the event, CDGM volunteers set up tables in the parking lot outside the facility from which to distribute the supplies they brought. Some things CDM had in inventory in the warehouse (such as towels and ironing boards, diapers and other high-demand items) were brought in on two pallets to give directly to the shelter. The Salvation Army Coordinator, Kristie Wood, got her staff to come out to help unload these pallets onto their loading dock.

Trulli

The other two and a half pallets of items would be given directly to the clients. At this shelter, the clients get breakfast, typically leave during the day, then come back for dinner and to sleep. They were filtering back in for the day when our volunteers arrived. Once the Red Shield Shelter’s staff made an announcement to their residents that CDGM was there, the Global Missions team engaged with the shelter’s clients for two and a half hours, distributing the supplies they brought and ministering to the recipients. Those table moments were huge. It was edifying for our volunteers to have a “heart” interaction with the residents, to actually engage in conversation and provide encouragement as opposed to just dropping off a check or supplies. Sharing the grace of God that changes lives while also meeting the physical needs of God’s precious people is what outreach is all about—reaching out to become God’s hands and feet in the earth.

Real Nutrition With A Real Purpose! The StrengthCast Power Show

We're going to discuss the way most of us currently measure food as a fuel source: the calorie.

A calorie-focused approach to nutrition has many limitations, but it still has important uses in certain situations. So, let's try to provide a little clarity, and try to help you make the most of the information that's on a food label. | Essential Ideas From The Video | • The calorie is not a universally accepted system of measurement. But every point made about it in this video can also be applied to other measurements like joules, kilojoules, or kilocalories. • The biggest advantages to calories are that they give you an objective way to measure very different meals, and to make more informed decisions about portion sizes. This can be helpful because portion size has increased immensely in restaurants and homes in recent decades. • Calories can also help you see how small indulgences, like a daily soda pop can add up over time. One soda a day is enough extra calories to add 15 pounds of weight in a year! • Beer, wine, cocktails, and coffee drinks may not have food labels, but they're definitely not calorically "free." • A major downside to calorie counting is that it's never totally accurate, even if you take the number on the label as gospel. •Packaged foods have been shown in research to have a lot of variability in caloric accuracy. It's normal for them to underreport both carbs and total calories by 25, or even up to 95, percent. Learn more.............

Hidden Epidemic- Interview with Dr. Thomas Levy and When should we take a child to the dentist?

  • Author Laura Smith

The dental health of a child is also very important and that every parent should take into account. Although many will wonder when is the ideal time to take children to the dentist. In this article we are going to talk about when children should go to the dentist. In fact, it is not common for many children to go to the dentist until they are 10 or 12 years old for the first time, and actually dental associations recommend that children be taken to the dentist as soon as their first teeth appear.

This usually occurs by six months of age. Although it can wait until your first birthday to have your baby's first teeth checked. Yes, babies can also and it is advisable to go to the dentist, since, in this way, the dentist can check that there is nothing abnormal in the appearance of the teeth. Also, if you notice anything that looks abnormal in your child's mouth (white spots, lesions, bleeding, etc.), make an appointment right away.

Why start taking a child to the dentist so early?

In fact, according to studies, tooth decay affects almost 1 in 5 children under 5 years of age. By detecting any condition a child has early, the dentist will be able to diagnose and treat it effectively and prevent problems in the future. In this way, they will do everything possible to ensure that your child can have healthy teeth and mouth for life. Your pediatric dentist will be able to check for cavities, injuries, and other problems during your visit, and will be able to review the changes that occur in the mouth as your child grows.

Choosing a pediatric dentist

You may be able to take your child to their personal and trusted dentist, but there are several reasons to go to a pediatric dentist. Pediatric dentists are specialized in the evolution and growth of children's teeth, and they will be able to make this experience more bearable, as it can be scary for many children.

Pediatric dentists also have a specially prepared space for examining children. In addition, the rooms are adequate, and the décor of the examination room should also be attractive to young people, such as brightly coloured décor and attractive murals. Games, magazines or comics are also important for children in waiting rooms.

Children's gums can be washed from the first year of age. But it is also important to know that children should not use fluoride toothpaste until they are at least two or three years old, as it can lead to fluorosis. This is fluoride can cause tooth staining, discoloration and, in serious ways, can even create holes in your teeth. Having a gum cleaning routine will get your child used to a dental routine very early and will help your baby feel more comfortable on his first visit to the dentist.

The first visit to the dentist

During the first visit of your baby or child to the dentist, a routine exam will be performed where they will examine for cavities and check the gums, jaw and bite of the child, it is also very important to check that there are no problems such as the frenulum or other problems that may affect teeth or speech patterns. A cleaning of the gums of the child or the baby can also be done.

Most dentists recommend going to routine appointments at least twice a year to follow the evolution of the child's teeth. At Idiáquez Dental Polyclinics ( http://www.policlinicadentalidiaquez.com/) they will be able to review and recommend the best treatments for children and advise you on any questions. Many children often develop cavities in their early years, even when they are 5 or 6 years old, and this requires routine check-ups. This is why a visit to the dentist is so important.
