Practical Personal Self-Defense Weapons

Author George Babnick
"Woman attacked by stranger in parking lot"
"Officers investigating robbery in which a woman was punched and her purse was stolen"
"Man attacked while jogging"
Headlines like these make the news almost daily somewhere in the USA and in other countries. These cases are very real and the fear of being attacked by a stranger when you are just going about your daily business can also be very real.
Statistically, your chance of being attacked by a stranger in the United States is just somewhere around 1.3%. With these kind of odds, why should anyone take the time to prepare for something that will likely never occur? Answer: because it does occur daily and because it can occur to you! If you are not prepared, the consequences could be deadly.
But, if you take some common-sense precautions and have some ability to defend yourself, the odds that you will survive the attack physically unscathed dramatically increases. And, knowing that you can defend yourself against an attack gives you a sense of confidence and helps allay the palpable fear of being accosted.
Self-defense experts abound and a multitude of self-defense weapons exist. Many feel the best self-defense weapon is a concealed handgun. But not everyone has the ability or desire to carry a handgun and not everyone wants to invest the time to become proficient with it. And, sometimes a situation calls for a less lethal defense.
There are all kind of sharp knife-like objects that a person can carry in their hands to cut, stab, or dice an attacker. Some of these like the TigerLady Self Defense Claw and Kuba-Kickz are quite different. The TigerLady Claw gives you retractable claws like a lion so you can scratch and claw an assailant and the Kuba-Kickz are spikes you can put on your shoes so you can kick the crap out of your assailant’s shins. The manufacturer claims the shoe spikes are "devastatingly effective."
All of these defensive tools have two common drawbacks:
Most of the time they will not be quickly accessible if you are suddenly attacked (who is really going to walk around always carrying one of these tools in their hands) and they require close-up face-to-face interaction with the attacker. If someone has grabbed you and you happen to have one of these sharp-angled tools in your hand – great. Use it with no mercy to slash, claw, and stab your intruder until you repel them.
Situational Awareness
The best option and your first level of defense should always be to make a conscious effort to avoid a potentially hazardous situation if at all possible. Constantly being aware of your surroundings and consciously, as a matter of habit, avoiding locations and situations that make you feel queasy or situations that just don’t seem right is always best.
DISTANCE = SAFETY
Not all situations can be avoided by heightened situational awareness. Sometimes things just happen. If you should be accosted by someone intent on doing you harm, you can benefit from a self-defense weapon that you can deploy from a distance. This is especially true if you have invested even a modicum of time and effort in familiarizing yourself with the weapon.
If at all possible avoid going "hands-on" with a potential attacker and if you are attacked, try to put at least a few feet of distance between you and the attacker. One of the first tenants of self-defense training is that DISTANCE = SAFETY. The farther away you can get from the assailant the harder it is for the assailant to hurt you. Even getting a few feet away from an attacker is advantageous.
Three self-defense tools that can be used at a stand-off distance are the extendable baton, pepper spray, and Fast Strike – a metal whip like device.
Extendable Baton:
The extendable or collapsible baton goes by several brand names but all consist of a telescoping metal rod that you can use to strike your attacker. One of the advantages is that it collapses into a 6-8" length and can be used close in, or with a good swing can reach out and touch someone several feet away. The collapsible baton offers reasonable concealability and can be carried in many pant or coat pockets.
In real life situations it can be quite effective. The effectiveness of a baton depends largely on how hard you strike the person, the location where you hit the person (arms, shoulder, head, etc.) and the rapidity of your strikes. Swift, multiple strikes, continuing until the attacker stops attacking is recommended.
Pepper Spray:
Personal defense pepper sprays (also known as capsicum spray) come in many sizes, canisters, and potency. Police and security personnel have used law enforcement potency pepper spray in real life situations with mixed results. While it can sometimes be better than nothing, it has many tactical considerations. Depending on the wind direction, you might just end up getting a cloud of pepper in your face, effectively disabling yourself. In a stressful situation it is also often difficult to hit a small, sometimes erratically moving target.
The Journal Police Practice and Research recently published a comprehensive study on the effectiveness of pepper spray and concluded that it was a "suitable tool for handling low threat situations" but was not suitable for "high threat situations." You might just be better off throwing the pepper spray canister at the attacker’s face and making a run for it.
A new pepper spray product called The Defender claims to "Bridge the gap between technology and personal safety." This pepper spray canister contains a camera and a siren. When you spray the attacker, it takes a picture and emits a siren to draw attention, and hopefully scare away the attacker. It also transmits the photo to the company so law enforcement can later view the photo. And, upon activating the spray, your GPS location is automatically transmitted to the company which offers 24/7 monitoring, and the company can then report your location to local law enforcement. Whether The Defender lives up to it’s potential is unknown, but the merging of technology with old-fashioned pepper spray is intriguing.
Metal Whip:
Another intriguing self-defense tool is a hand held flexible "rope-like" metal rod that you can use to strike an assailant in a whipping or swatting motion. This tool gives you about 15" of striking distance and like with a baton, if you get a good swing, you can reach out and touch the assailant from a distance.
The Fast Strike is definitely better than having to try and use your bare hands to fend off an attacker, but carrying it requires you to put it down you pant leg or loop it around your waist or belt. This might work for some but presents definite carry limitations.
Because it’s relatively new the effectiveness in real life situations compared to pepper spray and the collapsible baton, is unknown. From watching the manufacturers YouTube video, it sure looks like this tool could put a real hurt on an assailant.
Are you prepared to defend yourself from an attacker? If not – get prepared! And, get prepared today!
There are many self-defense tools available that will give you a fighting chance if you are attacked. But, for any of them to work you need to become familiar with them, practice with them, and have them quickly accessible should the need arise.

GRACE TO OVERCOME THE POWER OF SIN From CDM

If you’ve ever felt guilty because you were struggling with a particular sin but couldn’t seem to conquer it, God has some good news for you. We often hear from other believers that we should die to sin; but it can seem like the harder we try not to commit a particular sin, the more we become trapped in it. We won’t succeed by relying on our own efforts to stop sinning, but we will have victory when we realize that we don’t have to try to do something that’s already been done. Jesus overcame sin when He died and was resurrected and, when we’re in Him, we can, too.
It’s important to remember that there is a difference between sin and sinning; and when we’re in Christ, even when we commit a sin, we’re no longer sinners. When we became born again, our old, sinful nature died, and God planted His own nature inside us. Because our identity has changed, we won’t want to keep sinning like we used to. Although the power of sin overcomes others in the world, the power of Christ makes us strong enough to resist it.
Dying to sin is a one-time event, and it happens the moment the Holy Spirit comes to live in us and change our lives forever. Religion may tell us we have to keep repeating the process, but that mindset is based on works, not on grace. We must not let the world’s philosophies lead us away from the truth. The key to being delivered from sinful ways of thinking is to renew our minds by consistently studying the Word of God.
This renewal is a gradual process, and it will take the rest of our lives. Little by little, we discover new and deeper levels of God’s favor toward us. Jesus did everything that will ever need to be done to defeat sin and give us the same type of life that He has. This knowledge gives us a victory that comes only from Him.
Prayer:
Without Your Son, Lord, we would be enslaved to sin and unable to break its powerful hold on us. However, because of what Jesus did, we have authority over it. Thank You for what You did to free us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Scriptures:
Romans 6:1-7, 15-18
1 John 4:4
Galatians 2:20
Romans 12:2
Ephesians 4:23

World Changers Church Featuring: Take Only What You Need Pt 3 & Jesus The Healer

JESUS THE HEALER

Good health is something we all want, but few people know its ultimate source. Healing doesn’t come from prescriptions, doctors, hospitals, or even from eating right and living a healthy lifestyle. In these end times, many people are depending on these things because of a widespread fear of getting sick, but it doesn’t have to be that way. There is an antidote to all sickness and disease, and His name is Jesus.
Often, just the thought of “something going around” can make people panic and behave irrationally. The world’s prevailing mindset is one of hopeless resignation; this way of thinking is indicative of a world that doesn’t know God. We have specific, detailed promises regarding the protection He provides against diseases. Trusting Him in this area gives us peace of mind, no matter what we see going on around us.
For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you (Psalm 91:3-7, NLT).
There’s nothing wrong with taking preventive health care measures, seeing doctors when necessary, and using common sense. However, despite their good intentions, there’s only so much doctors can do through their own efforts. Wise physicians pray because they know the power of believing in the Great Physician. Jesus went to the cross to provide healing for us on every level. “…By his wounds you are healed” (1 Peter 2:24, NLT).
God loves us, and sickness isn’t His will for us. If we really believe this, we won’t let fear carry us away. His promise of protection, given thousands of years ago, still stands today. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4). Those who trust in Him have nothing to fear.
Healing was a large part of Jesus’ earthly ministry. All that was necessary to be healed was belief that He was willing and able to do so. Trust in Jesus allowed Him to heal anyone who came to Him (Matthew 9:20-22; Matthew 12:22; Mark 1:40-45; Luke 17:11-19). God’s promises of healing, both physically and emotionally, haven’t changed at all.
What’s worse than any disease is the fear it causes in those who don’t have a relationship with Christ. Knowing Him, and constantly being in His presence, keeps us shielded from this debilitating emotion. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). There’s an enemy loose in the world intent on spreading fear and panic; taking refuge in God in the midst of the situation keeps us safe.
We can place complete trust in His Word on healing. It’s the absolute truth. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19). In a topsy-turvy world filled with confusion and uncertainty, reliance on God’s promises of wholeness and soundness gives us peace.

30 Lifesaving Tools Every Law Enforcement Officer Should Have

The gear and equipment for a law enforcement officer varies from state to state. Some items are restricted in some states. These are recommended for different emergency situations and the agency the officer is working in. These are some necessary tools a law enforcement officer should have equipped, on hand, in his vehicle, his office or at home. Clothes are an essential part to keeping a person warm cool and agile on the job. Especially when it comes to different terrain and weather a law enforcement officer is stationed in. It may vary from states to state from warm summers cold wet winters and cool autumns or raining states seasons.
  1. Boots - Having a good pair of boots is more than ideal. It's important to keep in mind that the type of boot you choose will vary from what type of law enforcement job you do. If you are working in security or as a body guard, you may not need steel toe tactical boots - so go with comfortable, long lasting and waterproof Timberland boots. In other law enforcement fields, you have to be agile and quick on your feet. You may even need to kick down doors if you have to make a forced entry, defend yourself or chase down a suspects - so it's absolutely crucial that you invest in a good fitting comfortable pair of Tactical Boots.
  2. Tactical Jackets - On cold winter days and nights, you need to stay warm and without the extra weight to slow you down in case a situation arises. Tactical Jackets work by trapping heat inside the chambers on the fleece or winter jacket. There are multiple internal storage pockets to securely store necessary law enforcement items such as radio, pepper spray, handcuffs, taser, or other non-lethal equipment.
  3. Law Enforcement Belt - A traditional brown or black leather belt is just not sufficient for the job when it comes to law enforcement. You want a modular belt that can hold the essential gear for protecting yourself, fellow citizens and your co-officers. These heavy-duty belts have many slots and pouches to keep your gloves, cell phone, keys, pepper spray, radio, walkie-talkie, handcuffs, baton and holsters for your pistol. This is a crucial item to law enforcement gear since it has a quick-release button to retrieve any necessary item required at the time of the emergency. Stay ahead of the crowd and protect yourself so you can protect citizens by getting a law enforcement belt.
  4. Tactical Gloves - To get mileage and distance for your hands, you need some protective hand gloves. In a situation where you may need to fire a weapon, having lightweight, flexible and durable gloves to keep your hands cool, dry and light may be a lifesaver to yourself and an innocent victim. This must have item in tactical gear has special built-in material that keeps moisture out of the gloves and outer coating that will give your hands a better grip on your baton or pistol.
  5. Tactical Vests - During any part of time on your job, you may need to quickly un-snap a pocket or sleeve to quickly release a magazine to reload your pistol and take out your maglite or flashlight to see better in the dark. A tactical vest is an excellent piece of gear for close quarter operations and has the pouches and straps to quickly draw your holster.
  6. Sunglasses - If you are going to patrol the streets on foot, in your patrol car, on horseback or bicycle, you need to have eye protective gear. Oakley sunglasses are made for world-class athletes and law enforcement officers to not limit their sight in any way. These sunglasses have interchangeable lenses, iridium coatings, and plutonite lenses that filter 100% of UV damaging rays from the sun along with high impact resistant lenses. Don't go for fake sunglasses, your eyes are your camera to see the world - protect them and your fellow citizens at all costs.
  7. Digital Camera - What if there's been a car accident, proof of a domestic violence case where there's blood on a gun, knife or blunt weapon? You want a small digital camera that can fit in your pocket, tactical belt or tactical vest. A digital photo from your camera or video captured on your device may solve a mystery case, track a serial killer's next move or side with an automobile accident driver in court.
  8. Maglites and Tactical Flashlights - Having a flashlight is like having another set of eyes with you. Especially if you meet scenarios or suspects in the dark, you need a flashout to plan your escape or capture plan. With a tactical flashlight, it is more lightweight and small to easily conceal in your pocket, nodular belt or vest. A maglite has more useful uses such as striking in self-defense with its solid heavy duty, or temporarily blind the person you are trying to arrest with its high intensity and illuminating beam. You'll have no trouble finding what you are looking for. These flashlights have a world-class built-in self-cleaning technology. What more could you ask for in a flashlight?
  9. Baton - Having a baton is a non-lethal self-defense weapon perfect to subdue a person who is out of control or violent. This is the most sought after tool if a riot breaks out and the call in the SWAT unit. Having a collapsible and autolock baton is perfect for any law enforcement officer. The item is small but effective in any self-defense situation.
  10. Pepper Spray / Mace - Having your finger on a quick release mace that produces a powerful stream up to 10 feet can protect you and others in dangerous situations. You can easily hide this and quip it when the an emergency arises. You can put this in your key-chain. This is an excellent non-lethal preventive weapon. Keep in mind that having pepper spray or mace ready to release from your tactical belt or vest is a good thing to have.
  11. Tactical Pen - Made out of pure aircraft aluminum, this heavy-duty bad boy can be carried in your pant or shirt pocket. This is a must have alternative to carrying a knife around. Not only does it write smooth but it can apply a substantial amount of force against an out of control person or animal - a tactical pen is your ideal tool.
  12. Taser or Stun Gun - Can apply a stun gun or taser up to millions of volts of electricity. These devices really pack a mean punch. The tool creates a ton of electrical force and an intimidating electrical sound. When a taser or a stun gun must be used, it will instantaneously disrupt the message to the brain and causing the person to seize up immediately.
  13. Law Enforcement Tool Kit - Cleaning your equipment, especially your sidearm pistol will keep everything clean, neat and working properly. The law enforcement tool kit is a great one to have.
  14. First Aid Kit - A complete and comprehensive first aid kit is a must have to prepare for an emergency. The kit has everything you need from cuts, burns, to washing open wounds. This is an important piece of item in case an innocent victim gets hurt in which you can prevent them from getting an infection from using your first aid kit.
  15. Law Enforcement Knife - Having a fine quality knife can not only be a life saver to yourself but to others you are trying to help. A law enforcement knife can help open locks, cut down barbed wire, chain fences and fend off intruders or defend yourself. You can easily keep this in your duty belt or vest.
  16. Handcuffs - A good pair of secure handcuffs will keep the criminal suspect you just arrested from being able to flee.
  17. Tactical Bag - If you need a heavy-duty bag to keep your arsenal and protective gear, get a tactical bag period. These solid built bags have large compartments to keep your personal belongings, shooting supplies, pistols and ammunition. Working in the field, a tactical bag is essential to carry things that are extra which won't fit into your duty belt or vest. The craftsmanship is world-class to keep you feeling confident in the field.
  18. Holster - Holsters can fit most small to medium pistols. With a quick release buckle and snap on straps, you can feel confident that you can reach for your sidearm in time, and feel comfortable in any situation in the field. Holsters are lightweight and effective. There are spare magazine slots that allow you to carry extra ammunition.
  19. Law Enforcement Scanners Having a law enforcement scanner can keep you ahead of the news when it comes to the weather, hurricanes, tornadoes, heavy rainstorms or blizzards. Using a law enforcement scanner, you can listen in onto the police and fire channels which also includes the frequency paramedics use for emergency radio contact.
  20. Speed Gun - Enforcing the traffic law violations using a speed gun is important in keeping highways and streets safe from speeds, drunk, careless and reckless drivers.
  21. GPS - Being a law enforcement officer has high demands and expectations in protecting your community and knowing the layout of your state, city and town. What if you receive a call that there's been a confrontation that escalated to a violent situation in a corner downtown? Who really knows every crevice of your city? When the time is crunching down and you have to get to an emergency situation fast, having a GPS will get you there that much quicker to save someone's life.
  22. Slapper - Like a billy club or baton, this small-sized personal defense slapper really packs a punch. There's a leather wrap for you to grip the slapper easily. It has an intimidating and fierce look to it and the blow it can deliver is fearsome.
  23. Caution Tape - If there's been an emergency, criminal scene or to warn local citizens to look out for danger, having a caution tape around the perimeter of the area is an excellent thing to have.
  24. Jumpstarter with Air Compressor - One of the worst things to happen is if you forget to turn off your lights and the car dies. Or the tires deflate suddenly. This is when you need a jump starter with a built-in air compressor. No longer will you ever worry about your car battery dying or changing your tires if you have a car jump starter.
  25. Ankle Holster - Having a shoulder or belt holster may not be suitable if you are in the field as a FBI, DEA or ATF agent. An ankle holster provides a comfortable fit to hold onto a small sidearm on your leg without risking the firearm being seen. An ankle holster allows you to easily reach for your protective weapon just by bending down and hitting the quick release strap.
  26. Laptop - A laptop or net book is something every law enforcement officer should have. It's important to stay up to date on the news, store photographs or information of a criminal suspect you have followed for months or having the most up to date security to prevent hackers and pedophiles from causing damage on the internet.
  27. Tactical Watch - Tactical watches are an excellent time piece to own that is water-resistant and rugged. This is one crime-fighting tool to stay ahead of the crowd.
  28. Rainjacket - When your on the force and in the field, you need to stay warm and dry to keep your health optimal.
  29. Police Officer's Bible - It's not easy being a law enforcement officer. There will be some in the community who will try to bring you down but mostly you will receive great respect from your community. There will be times where you may feel like you are about to break down or call it a day. Having a personal self motivational book can lift up your spirits and mood to keep going and bring a sense of prosperity and safety to your community.

The Rock Almighty Devotional, Praise, and Worship with Watchmen

Having Faith in God’s Grace

From CDM

The grace of God has always been around, although in these last days it has become visible to a much greater degree than ever before. The Gospel of Grace is being preached on a global level, and the devil hates it because we’re now seeing radical manifestations of God’s righteousness everywhere. The enemy fights against those manifestations by planting seeds of doubt in our minds about who we are in Christ once we’re born again. Doubt is the number one enemy to God’s favor, and we must use our faith to accept and believe the truth.
When we’re in Christ, we are no longer sinners. Being under grace instead of under the Law of Moses means we’re no longer subject to the ministration of condemnation. We’re now operating according to the ministration of righteousness. Even when we sin, our identity isn’t based on what we do, but on what Jesus already did.
The devil, who is the god of this world, will try everything he can think of to keep us from studying our Bible. We must stand firm against his lies, because regular study of the Scriptures reveals who we are in Christ. The steady beat of the world’s message is that what God tells us isn’t really true—we aren’t saved after all and we’re still sinners. But studying the Bible is like looking into a mirror and seeing who we truly are, and we’re reminded again about our righteous identity in Jesus.
We’ve seen an increase of evil in the world, but we’re also seeing a corresponding increase in miracles and supernatural occurrences. Things that we can’t explain logically are happening all around us because God is reaffirming His presence, and we can give Him the credit for it. We’re encouraged in the knowledge that grace is greater than sin and evil. We win when our faith in God’s unmerited favor isn’t shaken, no matter what!
Prayer:
Lord, Your overwhelming favor toward us changes us from condemned sinners to Your holy and righteous people. When we believe Your Word of grace, we can live successfully and victoriously because of our identity in You. We’re thankful for this.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
Scriptures:
2 Corinthians 3:7-11
1 John 4:4
James 1:22-25
Psalm 118:23
Romans 5:20

Choose Love, Not Strife & Overcoming Fear in Doing God's Will

Overcoming Fear in Doing God's Will

  • Author Joseph B. Glosenger
Fear can be overcome. Even very fearful Christians can become brave. In my own experience of overcoming fear, I've found wisdom which I hope, dear reader, will help you to find victory in your walk with God.

The Effect of Fear on the Believer
God wants his children to do his will. However, fear can interfere with our trust in God; Men can act in disobedience, and even go completely astray because of fear. They can doubt whether they should trust God's leading. They wonder, for example, "Will God protect me in witnessing?" or, "Is he really leading me to tell this person about Jesus?" or, "Does he really want me to call my estranged sister?"
When God speaks clearly to a man, saying "Do this." or, "Go there." or, "Stop doing that." in that moment, it is certain that God has spoken. Yet, along comes fear. The man asks, "What will happen?" Doubt then follows. He wonders, "Did he really tell me to do that?" So, the man stumbles; he leaves the work unperformed, losing the narrow way. As his stumbling continues, his fear settles in, and a pattern of fruitlessness emerges in the man's life.
Hebrews 10:36-39 "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul."
My Own Experience in Defeating Fear
I had this same experience early in my Christian walk; for nine years I was in fear, fruitless, and running from God. But, I battled my fear and overcame it totally. I returned to God, and found the narrow way.
Today, I've witnessed to thousands of people; I've served God unceasingly for more than five years, in complete victory over all of the power of the enemy. I write this to evidence to you, dear reader, that the cycle of fear and doubt can be broken.
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
You can totally defeat your fear. By trusting in God and doing his will, you'll grow increasingly sure of your footing along the narrow way. Your works along the way will bear good fruit for all men. You'll live rejoicing in the satisfaction of truly serving God.
I'll show you how I overcame my fear; hopefully, my method will work for you, too.
Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
John 15:14-16 "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."
Praying Unto God for Boldness, Bravery, and Strength
Matthew 21:22 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."
God can save you from your fear. You need only to pray for bravery in doing his will. God will hear your reconciliatory prayer for bravery, with confession of the fear. I encourage you to pray such a prayer today, in faith, dear reader.
With believing prayer in request for boldness, bravery, and strength, God's voice will again be made clear to you. Importantly, this is the time to begin obeying God's leading – the moment his leading is clear is the one to trust and follow him.
Bravery is an excellent virtue of man. This virtue can be built in the heart of even the most fearful men; I have further wisdom in this, that I've learned of God. There is a method to establish bravery in your own heart, which I'll share with you now:
We Become Brave by Doing Brave Things
Overcoming fear requires this simple technique: when you fear doing a thing, you must do it. Bold people often fear too. But, they know from experience that God is faithful, so they push through the fear, trusting God, triumphing over fear completely.
On Breaking Down Fear
As a man walks the narrow way facing down his fears, carrying out the will of God, he attains the mastery over the fear – it weakens. Continuing in this way, fearfulness can ultimately be totally overcome.
All fear of doing good has it's root in lies; you must either rule over your fear, or it will rule over you. God is trustworthy. I exhort you, do trust him, and live in service to him.
The apostles are our best example of boldness, powerfully exhibiting their faith in God. The book of Acts shows the efficacy of valor for God, as the apostles saved many men by their trust in the Father. Boldness can produce similar fruits in your own life, dear reader.
The First Time is the Hardest
We all start out inexperienced. Unfamiliar works are new to the believer, making the fear especially strong. This is a vital time to trust in God. He sees all things; he is our loving Father; all things are held together by him. Though you cannot foretell what will come by obedience to his will, he knows the good outcome. Pray to him for boldness, while you are certain of his leading, and carry it out before fear and doubt creep in. Act on God's leading. It will bear good fruit, and the fear will weaken.
I want to tell you, I've found that serving God in good works is the most satisfying experience in life.
God is Worthy of Our Trust
The root of fear is lack of faith in God's trustworthiness. Doubting God. But, God is worthy of our trust; he loves us dearly. He upholds every believer with all that is needed to serve him. We need only to trust in him. Strength comes from trust in God. With God's help we can overcome anything.
1 John 3:18-24 "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us."
1 John 4:16 "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."
Closing Prayer
I pray dear reader, that God blesses you with all bravery, boldness, and strength, that you will trust in him, that your relationship with him will forever deepen, that your love in him will increase, and that you will successfully attain unto eternal life.
I pray that all who read any part of this article receive these things, that God's will be in done in the lives of all, and that all men come to love our LORD God. Amen.

It would be quite wrong for any physical training instructor to infer that there is only one way to acquire a good physique. There are many different methods, and not all of them involve the use of barbell and dumbbells. Wrestling, hand balancing, weight lifting, and gymnastics all add greatly to the musculature. It is undisputed, however, that the best methods involve the use of progressive resistance, but within this category, no single routine can truthfully be called "the best".
There is no magic schedule by which rapid gains can be secured or guaranteed with certainty.
Too many bodybuilders are waiting for this one schedule to be divulged. However, it just does not exist. By and large, bodybuilders are willing to do almost anything to accelerate their muscle growth.
Thus it is not recommended to develop training madness as it will not benefit you, especially if you are serious about getting results.
Workouts can be made up of a heavy set of curls, 10 repetitions every half from 9am until 9pm, making a total of 24 all out sets, in order to "shock" your biceps into growing; unfortunately the results are not achieved, meaning it just does not work.
So there is no magic schedule, make up a plan, involve the exercises made up in the super routine, separate body parts you wish to develop, that is, concentrate shoulders, biceps, triceps, delts and traps on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays cover thighs, back, calves, forearms, abs and biceps. Once you have your magic schedule, make sure you stick to it, the results will come.
