It's Time To Get Out Of Your Shell

This week I decided to get uncomfortable, to really experience vulnerability. This is how it feels to be new at something, to be unsure. I felt out of place, awkward, & uncomfortable in my body. These are just some of the feelings I felt being a dance beginner this week 🕺.

It wasn't easy to overcome my thoughts of thinking I look “stupid”, or “uncoordinated” to be honest. I realize this can be one of many hurdles for someone to overcome mentally when starting something for the first time.
I used to really fight the idea of being a beginner. I used to think that being an expert was the only way to win.
Being a beginner is not just okay, it’s actually the only way to master your craft.

I think that as coaches, we must begin over and over again. Being a beginner is the best place to coach from. As a coach, being a beginner leaves us open to the miracles that coaching naturally invites.

Being a beginner can allow you to be more open and flexible if you let it. That’s if you don’t let the frustration of setbacks beat you to it.
What I’ve come to realize is that people actually respect you more when you have the mindset of a beginner. You’re still allowed to have the knowledge and experience of an expert. But no one wants to interact with someone who thinks they know it all.
When you are trying to develop a new skill look at it as practice (but give it ðŸ’¯) instead of a game or performance. Learn from your mistakes. Learning from your mistakes allows you next step, experiment and be creative in your own right.
If you're already a master stay humble. The moment you start calling yourself a guru is the moment you stop learning.

Thank you @tinnahoffmann for taking the time with me this week sending me instruction. I know the progress will be slow and will challenge my patience.
May 1st is the Fast & Furious Challenge. If you are a beginner and can’t do some of the moves send me or @bodyrocktv_lisamarie a msg for help. You’re not alone.
This experience has inspired me to do a complete challenge for beginners next month. 21 Days no repeat workouts just you and I. The new challenge will be in SweatFlix.com and the only thing you will need is a weighted vest which you can pick up here for 50% off today.

Looking forward to filming the new challenge.

From the heart.

Moderation Justifications by Deanna Bramble

Have you ever noticed that people tend to feel safe and secure when they follow the masses. Many desire to fit into society as it has already been designed. Bet you have heard of thinking outside the box? Everyone wants your money, and the food business is no different. Marketing is everywhere and the more a company can convince you that you will be sexy, be a real man, lose weight, or have good times consuming the product the revenues will spike.

There is a statement that does not make sense to me, and one I hear the most for justification to eat what we want. Many speak of eating in moderation. Or perhaps your friends say Everything in Moderation?

We can give ourselves disease at any rate we chose; we can line our organs with plaque at a fast or slow rate. Food is a natural chemical and our body responds accordingly. Would you moderate strychnine, or cocaine, or any other poison? While it is factual that a little of poison sometimes has less effect than a lot, eliminating it all together whenever possible is best.

It takes a very intelligent strong willed person to say no more to easy temptation, open to changing patterned lifestyle, and to tell their family they are making a change. Humans have preserved, fried, killed, packaged, baked, molded, aged, the heck out of anything resembling food, and then back up studies trying to prove why you should consume that product. Because a large government agency passes it as eatable does not mean it should pass your lips. But you say I work out and burn it off.....Can you seriously burn off the cholesterol, plaque, acidity, and animal fat right out of your blood stream and organs by exercise? You can choose the positive route and not add anymore to your body.

Health Educator, Fitness Trainer, Author and Healthatarian Deanna Bramble educates on how to have higher energy levels, look younger, have better athletic performance, and quality of life while avoiding disease at a cellular level.

Good Cops Great Cops - Texas Officer Fired: "I don’t know why I shot"

The above video and following story illustrate why all police, fire, military and I would go so far to say that even citizens need to be better tactical athletes. Proper tactical training (not gender) more prepares anyone to perform and focus under duress and stressful situations.

Fort Worth, Texas ---- The Fort Worth police chief is standing behind his decision to terminate an officer who fired shots into a suspect’s car. The association representing Fort Worth police officers is lashing out at Chief Joel Fitzgerald after he fired a probationary police officer. Last week, Officer Lena Mino conducted a traffic stop and determined the owner of the car had outstanding felony warrants.

She reportedly told the driver to turn off the vehicle, but he did not comply. She drew her weapon and an “accidental discharge” led to a chase and standoff. "This driver refused to take the vehicle out of drive, revved the engine and fleed officer Mino,” claimed Manny Ramirez with the Fort Worth Police Officers Association. “The driver turned his tires and pulled off quickly which, in the heat of the moment, startled officer Mino and she fired a round from her service weapon. She struck the vehicle but did not strike any passengers or injure any person and there was no damage done." The police department issued a statement in response, contradicting Mino’s version of what she says happened.

“The Fort Worth Police Department has an established policy prohibiting officers from employing deadly force by shooting into vehicles unless the vehicle poses an immediate threat to that officer (or someone else),” police said in a statement. “In this instance, the vehicle slowly drove away from the officer and posed no immediate threat to the officer.” The association says the suspect evaded arrest and was captured after randomly selecting and overtaking a family's home. Officer Mino, who was just hours away from completing her one-year probationary period, was fired without the possibility of appeal. The Fort Worth Police Officers Association believes the chief rushed to judgment and violated Officer Mino’s due process rights by terminating her. The association is angry about the message it sends to the rank and file.

“The chief of police determined in five days after a rushed and incomplete investigation that Officer Mino’s alleged violations of department policy warranted the termination of her employment,” Ramirez said. “Sometimes the discharge of firearms occurs unconventionally. There are officers in the detective, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, even command ranks that have taken the same actions and acted in the same manner as Officer Mino and some have received no more than a verbal counseling session or a written reprimand for discipline.” Ramirez called the discipline premature and irresponsible. He claims it was rushed because Officer Mino was just seven hours away from completing her probationary period. Every officer that graduates from the Fort Worth police academy is placed on probation for a year, allowing the department to evaluate their ability to use that training on the streets.

Afterward, they qualify for civil service protection and earned the right to arbitration while facing disciplinary action. The department said although the officer displayed character and acknowledged that she made a mistake, she violated the department’s use of force policy. “As has been reported recently, the misapplication of deadly force has been a serious issue in law enforcement. Our police department considers the use of force, specifically deadly force, a responsibility that cannot be taken lightly,” Fort Worth PD said. “FWPD officers know this because we have enacted strict policies governing encounters that warrant the use of force. Officers receive extensive training in these areas because of the irreversible consequences that can result for all involved when something goes wrong. We owe it to those we protect and those we serve alongside to ensure when our officers use force they do so within policy and place an emphasis upon the sanctity of human life.” Mino’s attorney says it was a rush to judgment and the officer deserves her job back. She cannot appeal because she was still a probationary officer.

The Rock Almighty Devotional, Praise, and Worship with Halo

Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly....
— Romans 12:6 (AMP)
  View Previous Devo

We all have different gifts, but we shouldn’t compare or be jealous of the gifts of others.
I remember hearing one preacher talk of how often he saw Jesus. I had never seen Jesus, so I wondered what was wrong with me.
Another person I knew prayed four hours every morning. I could not find enough to pray about to keep praying for four hours and always ended up bored and sleepy, so I wondered what was wrong with me.
I had no gift to remember large portions of Scripture like someone I knew, who memorized all the Psalms and Proverbs as well as other entire books of the Bible, so I wondered what was wrong with me.
I finally realized that nothing was wrong with me.
Whatever we cannot do, there are many other things we can. Whatever someone else can do, there are also things they cannot. Don’t let Satan deceive you any longer. Don’t compare yourself with anyone in any way, especially not spiritually.
We can see other people’s good examples and be encouraged by them, but they must never become our standard. Even if we learn how to do something from them, we still will not do it exactly the same way.
At some time or another, I think we all fall into the trap of wondering why we are not like others we know or why we don’t have the same experiences they do, but it is a trap—and a dangerous one. We are caught in a snare set by Satan when we enter into spiritual competition and comparison, and we become dissatisfied with what God is giving to us.
We should trust that God will do the best thing for each of us and let Him choose what that is. If we trust God in this way, we can lay aside our fears and insecurities about ourselves.
I am sure we would all like to see into the spiritual realm and have an abundance of supernatural experiences, but getting frustrated if we don’t only steals our peace, and certainly does not produce visions of Jesus.
Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for making me a special individual with unique gifts and talents. Help me today and every day to be the best me I can be. Help me to also love and appreciate others for their unique gifts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Jesse Duplantis Featuring: Your Everything Is His Anything, Part 1 and Break Through the Wall

Jesse shows you how everything you could ever need or desire for life and godliness is available in Jesus’ teaching to ask “anything” in His name.

Break Through the Wall

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13

You’re running the race set before you, moving full-speed ahead with God’s blessing overtaking you at every step. Then suddenly, wham! You hit the wall. It may be a wall of sickness or financial trouble, of spiritual failure or family problems. But, regardless of the form it takes, the effect of “the wall” is always the same. It stops you cold.
The question is, once you hit a wall like that, what will you do? You’ll be tempted to quit, to turn back in defeat. But don’t do it. Because God will enable you to break through that wall and keep right on going.
I’m not going to tell you it’s easy. The truth is, it’s tough. But you have to push on through the tough times if you’re ever going to have a breakthrough.
Ask any athlete. He’ll tell you that! Because if he’s a winner, he’s been there. He’s pushed his body to what seems to be the maximum. His side has hurt. His lungs have ached. He’s had cramps in his legs and thighs. And just when he felt like he couldn’t go on, he’s heard some coach yell, “Come on! Move it!”
Athletes call that “hitting the wall.” It’s a time when the body says, “That’s it. That’s all I can do. I can’t go any farther. I can’t go any faster. I quit.”
But the seasoned athlete knows that “the wall” isn’t the end. It’s a signal that he’s on the verge of a breakthrough. If he’ll toughen up and push himself a little more, he’ll get a second wind. Suddenly, he’ll go faster than before. He’ll reach a level of excellence he couldn’t have reached any other way.
When you feel the worst, when failure is breathing down your neck, press in to the Word as never before. You may meditate on a particular scripture for days and even weeks sometimes, trying to get a revelation of it, seemingly without success. Then suddenly, like the dawn of the morning, light will come pouring in. You’ll see the way to break through. All you have to do is punch one little hole in that wall of problems, dig one tiny hole in it with your faith and with the Word of God.
Then keep tearing away at that hole. Don’t quit! And, before long, the forces of God will come bursting through, demolishing every obstacle in their path!
Once that happens you’ll never be the same again. You’ll be hooked. It will only take one breakthrough like that to make a never-dying, never-quitting champion out of you.

Chris Beat Cancer Featuring: Protect yourself from pesticides and Book Review: Andrew Kimbrell's "Your Right To Know: Genetic Engineering and the Secret Changes in Your Food"

Book Review: Andrew Kimbrell's "Your Right To Know: Genetic Engineering and the Secret Changes in Your Food"

YOUR RIGHT TO KNOW: Genetic Engineering and the Secret Changes in Your Food by Andrew Kimbrell, foreword by Nell Newman ISBN1932771190

*A comprehensive reference guide to the hidden facts of genetically modified food with a pocket guide for informed choices in the supermarkets.

*The Deluxe hardcover edition features a DVD, The Future of Food, produced and directed by Deborah Garcia.

Three Important Questions:

1. Did you know that the US Government holds a patent on “Terminator Technology”, developed by Monsanto, that makes plants sterile after a single growing season?

2. Are you aware that the UN Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that three-fourths of agricultural genetic diversity has been lost in the past century?

3. Did you realize that the Grocery Manufacturers of America estimate that 75% of all processed foods contain Genetically Modified ingredients?

If fish tomatoes and human pigs are frightening concepts to you, if organic foods matter to you, if you are concerned about the impact of toxic genes on human health, this book is a must read for you. More than half of America's processed grocery products from cornflakes to granola bars; from milk laden with growth hormones to diet drinks containing genetically altered ingredients. They are unlabeled, untested ... and we Americans are unwittingly consuming it all. Your Right to Know: Genetic Engineering and the Secret Changes in Your Food is a complete reference outlining how unmarked, genetically modified foods find their way onto our dining tables impacting the food supply, our health and our lives.

There are charts linking the men and women of Monsanto/Searle to the halls of power in Washington, where they, as policy makers, control the outcome of such tampering, including: John Ashcroft, former US Attorney General, Margaret Miller, of the FDA, Linda Fisher, of the EPA, Michael Friedman, MD of the FDA, Michael Taylor of the APHIS – Plant Health Inspection Service, Anne Vaneman, of the USDA, Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court, and Michael ‘Mickey’ Kantor Secretary of Commerce. If that doesn’t set your alarm bells off, you may also remember that when Donald Rumsfeld was on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Tribune and CEO of Monsanto, he cut a deal with soon to be President of these United States, Mr. Ronald Regan, the upshot of which was that if elected with Rumsfeld’s help, he was to remove the road blocks at the FDA to approve the poison Aspartame for human consumption after more than ten years of rejection by that agency. (See our page “You Are What You Eat” and read the section on artificial sweeteners.)

Turning a spot light on genetically engineered foods and the corporations who profit mightily from them, this definitive book is for all concerned consumers, from parents to the general public who need to know more about the inherent health risks involved. It also covers organic options and other food choices available to us as well as ways through which we can fight corporate agribusiness and the industrial takeover of the food supply which imperils us all.

Good Cops, Great Cops Featuring: The Police Academy: Week 1 and Texting While Driving Can Be Deadlier than DUI

Tactical Workouts

Texting While Driving Can Be Deadlier than DUI

By: Aaron Crane

https://10245lviqe5pxy0d5fkdfis7bz.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=USSPORTSBLOG
Texting while driving takes the driver’s attention away from the road or traffic around them. These actions can lead to an accident, as part of which severe injuries can result from the driver’s negligence. Although texting is a simple daily activity, all senses are impaired during the act, making texting behind the steering wheel of a moving car worse than driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

When a driver is texting, his or her full focus and attention are invested in the phone. This attention is diverted while traffic, pedestrians and objects continue to move past the vehicle on the road. Research has proven that texting does not just take the driver’s attention while they are engaged in the act, but also seriously impairs their ability to manage their vehicle for several seconds afterward while their attention must be refocused back on the road. Time lost during texting and when readjusting to driving can lead to serious accidents, injuries and death.

Texting is an immersive activity used throughout the day to communicate with others. But when texting is a constant focus, it can be difficult for the driver to leave the phone alone while operating their vehicle. Such individuals know it is safer to pull to the side of the road if they must use their phone or text. Instead, they continue driving, pick up the phone and even text while they are supposed to be paying attention to traffic and the road in front of them.

Even when the driver only reads texts and does not type a response, the momentary loss of focus on driving is long enough to cause a traffic accident. Lapses like these are the same as lapses when the driver has been drinking or using drugs. Impairment from texting is at its most basic level the same as other impaired driving, but may be worse than DUI in many instances. Law enforcement personnel frequently note the same erratic behaviors and mistakes made by texting drivers, as they do those made by drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

--- Continually Increasing Texting Accidents in the U.S. ---

Texting accidents are replacing DUI accidents as more common and deadly in the U.S. Although the blood alcohol content of someone who has been drinking cannot exceed 0.08 percent BAC before they are considered illegal for driving and legally drunk, texting while driving has been criminalized by many states. Texting is provided with a zero tolerance status, with any texting behind the wheel being an offense in states with these laws. This is much more progressive toward accident prevention than DUI laws that allow a minimal tolerance to some drinking before driving.

Texting is criminalized in some states because it only takes a moment of distraction to cause a catastrophic collision. When looking at a phone, a driver loses many such moments and gains many opportunities to cause damage, injuries and even death.

Although DUI violations continue to increase, texting while driving has been pushed to lawmakers’ forefront in many states. The National Safety Council revealed in its recent reports that accidents caused by texting drivers number over 1.6 million wrecks per year. More than ten teenagers or passengers in their vehicles die each day from texting while driving in the U.S.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that a person must consume four beers and drive, before being as dangerous as someone texting while driving. A texting driver is six times more likely to cause an accident than someone who drives while intoxicated.
Educating Drivers about Dangers of Texting While Driving

Many groups and associated programs have been developed to increase awareness of the public regarding dangers of texting while driving. Unfortunately, there is not yet a group as powerfully driven to educate the public about texting and driving as the 1980s-developed Mothers Against Drunk Driving. MADD has extensive support, resources and political power compared to any anti-texting campaign, program or agency in America. It will take time for anti-texting programs to develop and gain the power of those associated with DUI prevention.

Although DUI campaigns have often caused differences in opinion and even controversy regarding methods of educating the public, efforts by anti-DUI groups have led to criminalization of DUI offenses. These actions have indeed saved lives through education of the public, political influence, resulting legislation and law enforcement.

A big question is whether the same type of laws could be effective in prevention of texting while driving accidents. Some agencies questions whether consequences and criminal outcomes should be harsher for these types of offenses.

Be a Cheerful Giver

2 Corinthians 9:7-8, The Amplified Bible

Some people say you need to “give till it hurts.” Don’t you believe it. God doesn’t want gifts given in pain. He wants gifts given in joy! In fact, those are the only kinds of gifts that please Him.
That’s why He tacked His promise of abundance onto His command about cheerful giving. The two are connected.

Cheerful, full of faith, even hilarious giving—that is the key that unlocks the treasure house of God. Have you ever seen a group of people give that way? I have. I’ll never forget it. I was at a camp meeting years ago when offering time turned into a spontaneous, supernatural celebration. Ken was singing Bread Upon the Water, and the people were just dancing their way down the aisles to give their money. The joy in that place was glorious. Great healings and miracles were done that night.
But what stood out to me above all was how joyously and hilariously the people brought their offerings to God. The offering wasn’t extracted from them like a dentist extracts teeth. It was brought forth gladly.
The concept of “giving till it hurts” didn’t come from God. He’d rather you give 10 dollars with that kind of joy than 20 dollars grudgingly. In 2 Corinthians 8:11-12, the Apostle Paul urges the church in Corinth to give with eager willingness. Eager willingness. That’s what God looks for!
If you haven’t given that way in the past, make a firm commitment to start. Repent for the times you’ve given grudgingly. Then spend some serious time with God and His Word in your prayer closet, so when you give again, you can give from a willing heart.
Put the “pain” of giving behind. Become “a cheerful, (joyous, ‘prompt to do it’) giver,” and believe me, your blessings will abound!
