EPIC SHOWDOWN Between THE TOP Two H.S Teams in the nation #1 Mater Dei
(Santa Ana, CA) v #2 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD) 30 + D1
Players including the #1 dual-threat quarterback Bryce Young for Mater
Dei and 5 Star DE Chris Braswell for St. Frances Academy
BELLFLOWER,
CALIF. — The highly-anticipated game between No. 2 Mater Dei (Santa Ana,
California) and No. 4 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Maryland) was all
but over two minutes into the third quarter. Quarterback Bryce Young completed a 15-yard pass to wide receiver
Kody Epps. The receiving core is deep, but he looks to be Young’s
favorite target four games into the season, finishing the game with
seven receptions for 101 yards. Then, Young connected with running back Quincy Craig for an 18-yard gain. On the next play, Craig took a handoff 16 yards. Young closed out the drive by bolting to the outside and scoring a 37-yard touchdown. This increased the lead to 31-6.
St. Frances couldn’t compete. Mater Dei is a tier above a team that
was thought to be in the top tier of teams and came away with the 34-18
win. Here are some takeaways:
Just a reminder: Bryce Young is a dual-threat quarterback
Coming into the matchup against St. Thomas Frances, quarterback Bryce
Young had just 12 carries. He threw for more than 500 yards last week.
But he’s the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2020 class for a
reason. Young scored all four touchdowns for Mater Dei, all four on the ground, the longest of which was the 37-yard dash. “That’s kind of what we got, especially down in the red zone. I got lanes to run,” Young said. Some wondered if St. Frances’ immense size on the offensive line
could slow him down. Listed at 6-foot on the dot, Young isn’t the
largest quarterback in the country. “Really, the key for us was our O-line,” Young said. “They did an
amazing job. That’s a very big, a very athletic line, they did a great
job of protecting me.”
The defensive line, led by five-star Chris Braswell, couldn’t stop
him. Young releases the ball quickly like Steph Curry on a 3-point shot.
It takes him little time to find a target, and when he does, he
releases. He escaped sacks and pressure by getting rid of it on a dime. And he can also run it himself. Don’t forget it.....Keep reading..................

Guns Blazing: How Sylvester Stallone Trained for Rambo's Finale
Nearly
four decades after John Rambo first took America by storm, he's back
for one final chapter. We spoke with Sylvester Stallone's longtime
strength coach, Gunnar Peterson, on the eve of the film's release.
Gunnar Peterson says it feels like he has been training
Sylvester Stallone "since the beginning of time." Filmgoers may feel
like they've known the actor equally long. His two iconic characters,
Rocky Balboa and John Rambo, have personified The Underdog and The
Outsider for decades. And now, Rambo makes what would appear to be his
final stand in "Rambo: Last Blood," hitting movie theaters on September
20.
To hear Peterson tell it, Stallone's greatest character is himself. "Hands down, Sly is the most entertaining person I've ever met," says
the Beverly Hills-based trainer to the stars, speaking by phone on his
afternoon drive back from training the Los Angeles Lakers. Peterson says
if you're expecting the gruff, monosyllabic Balboa when you meet
Stallone, you're in for a surprise. "He's ridiculously smart and an
unbelievable wordsmith." To wit, Stallone is the only person, besides Orson Welles and Charlie
Chaplin, to win Oscar nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best
Actor for the same film. One trait Stallone shares with his on-screen characters, though, is a
tremendous physicality, forged over the decades by hitting the weights
and hitting them hard. Curious about how a 73-year-old would prepare to
portray John Rambo in his final incarnation, I interviewed Peterson to
glean his insights. When training for the earlier Rambo movies, Sly's goal was to be as jacked as possible, I assume. Was this time different? With training, when people don't have a deadline or an event to train
for, they have to create their own goal. I do it for myself. Sly has
managed over six decades to constantly dangle the carrot in front of
himself, whether that's for creating a new character or bringing back an
old character. Remember how many franchises this man has had—not to
mention the ones that should have been franchises, but for whatever
reason, didn't turn into one.
He's bringing back an iconic character here, so should the character
be such a departure from the original? Did that character undergo
something that made him completely change and that would change how he
looks? How he moves? Or, is it just that he kept getting better? If you
watch the Rocky series, he gets better and better until he peaks in IV
(1985). It changes in V (1990). In "Rocky Balboa" (2006), which I
trained him for, he brought back a different character. He was supposed
to be 57 in that film, and he wanted to be thicker, denser, and with
more mature muscle. He wanted to exert "blunt force trauma"—that was the
quote from the movie. He wanted to be so strong that when Rocky hit his
opponent, it just obliterated him..Keep reading.....
EMFS are comprised of four major components: electric fields, magnetic
fields, radio frequency, and dirty electricity. Learn how to reduce
exposure here: http://bit.ly/dirty-emf. Each of these components affect our wellbeing in different ways and we
are beginning to understand the true extent of the damage. In today’s
video from The Truth About Cancer, we focus on one of these components:
rf radiation, or radio frequency radiation. Radio frequency is mostly used in communication devices such as
telecommunication towers, broadcasting antennas, mobile phones, and
wireless technologies (i.e. Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones, Bluetooth).
These waves carry information from one point to another, thus making
fast communication possible. Some health hazards of radio frequency radiation (besides cancer) are
infertility, sleep difficulties, memory problems, and damage to our
central nervous system. Watch the video to get the full list! Protect yourself and your family from the devastating effects of EMFs!
Qi Technologies is a German-patented technology that cancels out the EMF
frequency. This gives you a safe EMF-free zone for you and your family.

Lufkin , Texas ----- Lufkin Police & Fire released dash cameras
video of yesterday's pursuit with Wharton, Texas, bank robbery suspect
LeEdward Hopkins.
The following is taken from the in-car videos of LPD Officer Cody Deal
and Pct. 1 Constable Tom Selman. Top speeds during the chase reached
more than 130 mph. Hopkins died after losing control of his vehicle
following a tire spike near Woodland Hills Golf Course in Nacogdoches.
An undisclosed amount of cash and a loaded pistol with additional
magazines were located in Hopkins' vehicle.
The men robbed a Wharton,Texas, bank around 11:30 a.m yesterday at
gunpoint and fled the area.
DPS received information around 7 p.m. that Hopkins was traveling
through Lufkin on Loop 287 in a black Dodge Challenger R/T. Officer Deal
initiated a traffic stop on Hopkins' vehicle around 7:10
p.m., but Hopkins refused to pull over.
Additional agencies, including Constable Selman, joined the U.S. 59
north chase. The officer and constable told Hopkins to stop the vehicle
using their vehicle PA systems, but again he refused.
Constable Selman also attempted to shoot out one of Hopkins' tires
(around the 1:10 minute mark as the suspect vehicle passes him just after the failed spike - you can hear the pop) but was not successful.
Hopkins' co-conspirator Tony Mitchell, 42, of Houston, remains at large. He was not with Hopkins at the time of the crash.
No one else was injured in the pursuit.

Vaughn is also the author of The Church Security Handbook. Can the
Church protect itself from the unthinkable?
Q: How do I stay safe when I live in a dangerous neighborhood?
A:
If you have made Jesus Christ
your Lord, protection belongs to you. In fact, what you know from the
Word of God will save your life. If you build God’s promises of
protection and deliverance into your heart and life, you can live in
this world with all of its danger and still feel secure. Of
course, safety, security and deliverance from danger don’t come
automatically. Those are some of the benefits included in salvation,
which Jesus purchased for us on the cross. Just like all the other
benefits of salvation, however, they show up in your life only as you
begin to trust God for them specifically. Read all of Psalm 91,
and you’ll see how much God wants to protect you. Even from the first
line it begins to show us how to receive that protection: “He that
dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the
shadow of the Almighty.” If you are to enjoy God’s protection,
there are some conditions you must keep to activate that protection in
your life. For one thing, you have to abide in Him. Abiding
under the shadow of the Almighty is the result of spending so much time
in the Word of God and His presence that His truth governs your actions
without even a conscious thought. Stay in the Word day after day. Take
the 91st Psalm into yourself until it becomes engrafted in your heart.
Remember this: It’s the Word you act on today that will get you delivered. It’s not what you heard last year. It’s not even what you know. It’s what you do. Another
definition of abiding is simply obeying. First John 3:6 says,“Whosoever
abideth in him sinneth not.” The reverse of this is also true—whoever
sins (or is disobedient) does not abide in Him. Disobedience can be
dangerous. When you sin, you get out from under God’s protective
covering. Thank God we’re living in the day of grace and mercy, and it’s
never too late to call upon the Lord. But if you haven’t been abiding
in the Word and walking in obedience, it will be difficult to call on
Him in faith when trouble comes. There’s something else important
about the person who lives in the protective shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:2 tells us what it is—he speaks in faith. He “will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I (confidently) trust!” This
man is doing more than just trusting God with his heart…he’s saying it
with his mouth! That’s what you need to be doing too. Faith brings God’s
supernatural power into this natural realm. Faith is released into this
natural realm by words. Make up your mind right now to get your
mouth in line with God’s Word. Do you know what will happen when you do?
You’ll be able to go to sleep at night. You won’t lie there in worry or
fear. Instead, you’ll trust God with every part of your life. Once you
have that kind of peace on the inside, you can be assured you’ll have
supernatural protection on the outside. When you read Psalm 91,
remember this: The first two verses are what we do and say. Verses 3-16
are God’s answer and commitment to us. When we do our part—trusting and
saying, God does His part—delivering and preserving. So stand on God’s
promises concerning protection, and “He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways” (Psalm 91:11).
