A goal line stand separated 2 of the top teams in the Nation Saguaro
Scottsdale, (Arizona) vs Cathedral Catholic (California) at the Honor
Bowl in San Diego.
Scottsdale Saguaro achieved its highest
national ranking in history at No. 10 by USA Today, before even playing a
down this football season.
But that took a hit, along with its Arizona Republic
No. 1 Super 10 ranking, in San Diego on Saturday night with an 18-10
loss to Cathedral Catholic in what was the marquee game in the lineup of
Honor Bowl matchups.
Earlier Saturday, Phoenix
Desert Vista (1-1) lost to Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame 37-35 on a
33-yard field goal as time expired.
Saguaro (1-1)
went to California with the state's largest contingent of Division
I-offered players (19), led by a loaded senior class that has eight with
Power 5 conference offers, led by five-star cornerback Kelee Ringo.
But the Sabercats could only muster one touchdown, a week after blowing out San Tan Foothills Poston Butte 63-0 in their opener.
"There’s
no doubt that it hurts, because we invested a lot of time, effort, and
energy into trying to win that game," coach Jason Mohns said. "But at
the end of the day, it doesn’t change our goals for the season.
"We learned a lot about ourselves last night, and what we need to do going forward to get better."
Saguaro
still has a shot at Arizona's Open Division, pitting the eight best
football teams among 6A, 5A and 4A in a state-championship bracket.
Computer rankings will take into account all games and strength of
schedule.
Cathedral Catholic is one of the top
teams in the San Diego area. It was coming off a 42-9 win over Carlsbad
(Calif.) La Costa Canyon in its opener, and will take on California
powerhouse Corona Centennial next week. The Dons entered the Saguaro
game ranked No. 38 nationally by MaxPreps and 12th in California.
Saguaro
had only three points through three quarters — a Parker Lewis 32-yard
field goal with six minutes left in the second quarter for a 3-0 lead.
Tyler
Beverett was intercepted twice, the second of which set up Zavien
Watson's 22-yard scoring run that gave Cathedral a 12-3 lead four
minutes into the second half.Beverett drove the Sabercats down and scored on a 1-yard run to cut it to 12-10 with 11 minutes left in the game.
Cathedral Catholic consumed nearly seven minutes, before extending its lead to 18-10 with a short scoring run.
Beverett's
21-yard run moved Saguaro to the 9 with a minute to go. On fourth down
at the 4, Saguaro wasn't able to convert and Cathedral Catholic ran out
the clock.
"Hats
off to Cathedral, they are a heck of a team," Mohns said. "We made too
many mistakes to beat a team of that caliber. But I was proud of our
kids for fighting through some adversity and giving ourselves a chance
at the end."
Saguaro, the six-time defending state
champion (five of those coming in 4A), will hit the road again next
Saturday to take on Faith Lutheran in Las Vegas in the Polynesian Bowl
at Bishop Gorman.

Have you heard of maca? It's become a popular product for people to
incorporate into their diet. Dr. Anna Cabeca does sell the product, but
she also discusses what it is and how it helped her improve her health a
number of years ago. Learn about some of the benefits of maca.
The natural way to improve your sexual life
By: Carlos Blake
Probably, you have heard sometime
about Maca. But, do you know what it really is or what benefits it can
offer to you? This article is meant to let you know basic information
about Maca and its amazing properties as a male sexual enhancer that
have proven to be of great help for men with sexual problems.
The
scientific name of Maca is Lepidium meyenii, and it is an herbaceous
plant which is native to the high Andes of Bolivia and Peru. People of
these countries grow it because of its fleshy hypocotyl (a botanical
term for a part of a germinating seedling of a seed plant) which they
use as a medicinal herb. Peruvians have grown the maca root at altitudes
between 12,500 and 14,500 feet, and more usually in very cold climates
with poor soil for around two thousand years. Peruvian maca is regarded
as a medicine that enhances strength and endurance and also is a great
aphrodisiac. It can be cultivated outside the Andes but it is not clear
if it has the same constituents or potency when it is ready.
Maca
has a very high nutritional value, like that of rice or wheat. It has
60% carbohydrate, 10% protein, 8.5% dietary fiber and 2.2% fats.
Besides, Maca is rich in minerals such as selenium, calcium, magnesium
and iron, and includes nineteen amino acids and polysaccharides, that is
why it is considered as a great herbal energy booster. But, what makes
Maca more interesting for men are its reported beneficial effects for
sexual function because of its high concentration of proteins and vital
nutrients.
That is what makes Maca Enhancer such a great
alternative for those men who suffer from any sexual dysfunction like
impotence or premature ejaculation. Maca Enhancer is a natural sexual
enhancer that can increase the libido and improve semen quality, and
having a sperm with higher quality and mobility increases the chances of
a successful pregnancy, proving that it is an effective treatment for
people with known infertility and find it very difficult to have
children.
Maca Enhancer is also good and effective for men who
just want to improve their sexual performance or want to increase the
size of their penis. This is possible because Maca Enhancer increases
the capacity of the erectile tissue of the penis called Corpora
Cavernosa, making possible that more blood enter the penis filling the
erectile tissue and therefore achieving a longer and thicker erection.
And, since this maca capsule is a completely natural product there are
no side effects, so it provides an effective and healthy way to improve
your sexual health without having to worry for anything else.

“For the love of money is the
root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from
the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1 Timothy
6:10).
Money is simply a tool;
there’s nothing wrong with having it, as long as it doesn’t have us. One
of the signs that we trust money more than God is a reluctance to give
financially.
As a born again child of God, you are anointed with spiritual ears to hear the distinct, divine voice of God. In Mark 4:24,
Jesus made it clear that you have a responsibility to heed what you
hear. If you’re ready to tune in to Heaven, this exhilarating message
by Jesse is the one for you.
Every so often, we all find ourselves in a situation
that’s over our heads. We’ve taken on more than we can handle, then
realized we got ourselves in trouble. We can either ask God for help, or
try to handle the issue ourselves. The decision we make here determines
whether we succeed or fail. Plenty of people think they can lead successful lives without God.
We’re in the midst of a time when atheism is leading people to a mindset
that accepts secular humanism. The world exalts the “self-made man.”
However, this way of thinking is dangerous and leads us in the wrong
direction. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God...” (Psalm 14:1). When life is going good and we’re sailing along, it’s foolish to
think that we’re responsible for our own success. Things beyond our
control can go sour without warning, and we can find ourselves in
trouble despite all the precautions we may have taken. The same people
who deny God’s existence may be the very ones to call on His name in a
life-or-death situation. God is God, in good times and bad. “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10, NKJV). Our external environment is a noisy, confusing place, in which we
hear competing voices saying different things. It can seem like whoever
yells the loudest is the person who’s right, but appearances can be
deceiving. We may think we’re on the right track when we receive
approval from others, only to find out later it wasn’t the right way at
all. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12). God is trying to tell us the way to true happiness and success, but we may not be listening. God loves us and wants to get involved in every aspect of our lives.
However, He won’t force the issue; He leaves it up to us to decide if
we’ll accept or reject Him. Just in case we get confused and we’re about
to make the wrong choice, He gives us a broad hint. “Today I have
given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and
curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make.
Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might
live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him,
and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life…” (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20, NLT). Our lives are profoundly affected by God’s presence or absence. The choices we make now determine what happens later. Therefore, as
free moral agents, we need to choose wisely. Life has too many variables
and unknowns for us to succeed without relying on God. We don’t ever
have to be afraid to trust Him when we don’t know which way to go. “Trust
in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy
paths” (Proverbs 3:5, 6). It’s easy to trust God and look for Him when we know He’s real. “…Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6, NLT). The question today is whether we really need God. The answer is a resounding, “Yes!”
